Came to pick up lunch on a Monday, and the wait for my food was less than 5 minutes. The menu is basic in terms of offerings but its simplicity is perfect for a quick grab and go while working. The rice bowl was tasty, filling, and right for the price! read more

Rice Kitchen - Rice Kitchen Bowl - Korean Near Me - New York, New York

Yummy tofu skin filled with rice and korean toppings. Delicious. Only comment is that the beef juice and sauce made the rice on the bottom a bit soggy and moist, so you lose the short grain rice flavor element that could have been there. read more

Absolutely phenomenal food! I stopped by on my way to pick up some groceries yesterday and ordered the 4 for $12 bites. I was so excited to try them. And they did not disappoint. Every bite was packed with so many great tasty flavors. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this place!!! read more

Great quick grab and go lunch spot in the soho area. I've only tried their tofu pockets, but they have other options like rice bowls and kimbap ad well. The set of 4 is a decent portion, and I really like the spicy chicken and pork flavors. However, I do think the yubu pockets are a little bigger and slightly better. Prices are relatively affordable as well. There's no seating, so it's a takeout only place, but orders generally come out pretty quickly. read more

I stumbled upon this place one Friday afternoon and had a great experience! The food is very innovative and the owner is super sweet and helpful. The menu is set up in a simple way and it's easy to figure out what you want if you're unfamiliar with the food/style. I had the bulgogi kimbap which I kept seeing on Instagram and a spicy pork tofu bite. It was all so good and flavorful! The kimbap is an interesting mix between Korean food and Japanese sushi - definitely a nice change if you love sushi but want to try something different. I wish I had tried all of the tofu bites but there's always next time :). They have a small area for outdoor seating which was super pleasant especially on a nice day like the day that I went. read more

Fast, cheap, and delicious. Need I say more? Got the chicken and bulgogi tofu bites, and the bulgogi kimbap. Everything was so yummy! The employees were very helpful with any questions we had about the menu. Our food came out in under 5 minutes, so convenient! It's a small shop but they have outdoor seating. My whole experience here was very pleasant. Loved everything about this place. Would come again! read more

Good Kimbap with lots of customizations and lots of toppings. The ingredients are all very fresh and homestyle, and you can tell the owner really cares about this restaurant and makes sure to put in good effort for every meal he makes. I really enjoyed the house marinades in the pork and bulgolgi, and would recommend to try all the flavors they have! read more

This review is for delivery only. Overall: 4.5/5 Food: 4.5/5 Value: 4.5/5 Delivery Experience (via Postmates): 3.75/5 Great kimbap, generous portions and good prices. Ordered the spicy pork and bulgogi kimbap and a set of tofu bites. Generous portions with lots of stuffing, really fresh and delicious. Think great value for the prices. This is not quite an issue with the restaurant per say, but only gripe is that they do delivery largely with Grubhub, Seamless, Doordash, or Postmates for those who don't live in walking range of pickup, and Grubhub and Seamless always have smallest delivery radius and so does Doordash to certain extent too. Postmates will deliver farther but their service and delivery fees are absolutely ridiculous - like $10-15 extra not including tip, and can only imagine how much they're charging the restaurant too. Frustrating for folks who live a little farther uptown. Also, the packaging is really cute but for the set of 4 tofu bites, the box doesn't exactly fit snuggly so two of them overturned and had the stuffing fall out from jostling during delivery. Not a big deal for the taste but impacts the aesthetic / food experience a bit but suppose not totally unexpected from delivery. Overall would totally recommend though, great food!! read more

Rice Kitchen - Bulgogi Kimbap - Korean Near Me - New York, New York

4 tofu bites for ~$10, count me in! Rice Kitchen is a small Korean food shop located in Soho (near Dominique Ansel) that focuses on "tofu bites" which are meat, egg, or mushroom toppings over rice. It's comparable to Japanese inari. Inari is essentially fried tofu skin/packets that is filled w/ seasoning (especially sesame) that you can choose to dip in soy sauce. I usually do not dip since the rice is seasoned enough. We ordered the egg, bulgogi, spicy pork, and chicken tofu bites, and enjoyed it in the nearby Washington Square Park (after a nice walk). It's a creative take, although not innovative, on regular inari. The spicy pork & bulgogi were my favorite! The egg tofu bite was meh... read more

Very nice, quick lunch. Lovely flavor, amiable customer service and took no time at all.

For a little take-out place, Rice Kitchen is great. The kimbap are very good: everything individually seasoned as it should be, with lots of filling and just a very thin layer of perfectly-cooked rice. Spot on. The rolls are huge, too. My only critique is that sometimes the meat fillings (chicken, pork, or bulgogi) are a little dry and overcooked--but truly, nominally so. If everything else wasn't so spot-on, I wouldn't think twice about it! The yubu is good, too, though a little sweet for my tastes (and they depend more on how good the meat is any given day!). I prob like the mushroom yubu the best. read more

Come support this new business! We were in the neighborhood and decided on a whim to pick up something for dinner, and we're so glad we did. The owners were friendly and kind. They even gave us free drinks since they just opened! We ordered a bulgogi kimbap, spicy pork kimbap, and then 4 orders of the tofu bites (mushroom, egg, bulgogi, and spicy pork) because you can get the 4 for $10 deal. The spicy pork was delicious, and the egg tofu bite had a nice light bite. Everything overall was so good. I didn't feel stuffed or heavy after eating this meal because everything was fresh. I highly recommend! read more

Lots of flavor and always delivered fast. They have a small menu, but they do everything really well.

I'm a little bit of a kimbap junkie. There's just something weirdly comforting about a rolled up log of rice, meat, and vegetables. And it's a pretty healthy lunch option. So its pretty great that this place opened up next to my work. The place is small, but trendy and the service is efficient. But most importantly this is the best kimbap I have had in NYC thus far. I've been to k-town and this is the best. The ingredients are fresh and good quality and that really makes the difference. It may not beat LA's K-town, but you're in NYC so what does that matter anyhow? read more

Friggin amazing kimbap. I ordered the vegetarian mushroom kimbap and it was SUPER flavorful, fresh, and left me craving more. Mushroom tofu bite also stellar. Easily some of the best I've had in my life. I'm sure every other flavor is bomb too. MUST MUST go. read more

This was som of the best Kimball I've ever had! The service bye the staff was good and it was cozy! If I'm in the area I would go again.

The food is good enough and I can see why the ratings are so high. The quality was good. It is a little expensive for a rice bowl but the quality of the meat especially the bulgogi won't disappoint you. I traveled pretty far to get there because of the rating but when I got there, there was no indoor seating so I just sat in the 40 degree cold. Having a great dining experience means more than the food and sitting outside in the cold doesn't cut it for me. read more

This is a small shop located in SoHo with a small amount of outdoor seating. The menu is short and simple, reducing most decision paralysis you might have. I ordered the four tofu bites for $10 and got one each of k chicken, spicy pork, egg, and bulgogi. Not a bad deal! The k chicken tofu bite was by far the best, and if I were to be in the area again I could see myself ordering four of those! The egg tofu bite was also nicely flavored and relatively simple. Bulgogi one was okay, and I wasn't really a fan of the spicy pork one. I did wish the tofu bites overall had a little less sauce, as some did feel kinda heavy. You might want to ask for less of the sauce that they drizzle on top. The egg one was perfect in this regard, as the egg itself wasn't marinated like the other meats were. read more

I was curious about the Gimbap after watching Jinny's kitchen. It's surprisingly filling, well balanced in flavor and refreshing. Also had the tofu bites. The tofu pocket tastes like the Japanese inari so there is sweetness to it. Yummy bulgogi and I was surprised because I'm particular when it comes to tuna but their tuna was so delicious! read more

I ordered their kimbaps from here... So delicious! My favorite part is that these things are stuffed with ingredients, and they don't put too much rice. For some reason the price seems a little much, but it's NYC so what can I expect. It's great for a quick small lunch. No indoor seating, just a couple of chairs/tables outside though. read more

Surprisingly tasty kimbap served in a little takeaway stall in SoHo. Mushroom kimbap was super savory and really stands on its own whether you are a meat eater or a vegetarian. Didn't try the pork or tuna salad but they were also both apparently really good. Everything is well balanced with pickle and vegetable and it was overall really satisfying but light on the palate. Presentation is also reasonably pretty for a little takeaway box and I do appreciate that they do give you the little overstuffed ends while still making it look intentional. Only issue is that it does feel a touch pricy for kimbap but I think it's reasonable considering its location. read more

This is a small store (no indoor dining) near the edge of SOHO with a small menu, but very consistent food the past 2 times I've been there. The rice bowls are filling, with a generous amount of meat and toppings. I think the food is premade and reheated, but they are assembled on the spot. The bugolgi and spicy chicken meats are very good and I definitely recommend adding the extra $$$ for double meat. If you're not close to ktown, this option is a great quick meal. read more

Rice Kitchen - Korean Near Me - New York, New York

Rice Kitchen has a small menu specializing in Korean style inari sushi or as they call it "tofu bites" (rice stuffed tofu skin) and kimbaps. I ordered the spicy pork kimbap, bulgogi tofu bite, spicy pork tofu bite, k chicken tofu bite, and a sparkling yuzu drink. The total came out to be ~$27 and was very filling. Both kimbaps and tofu skins were good but I preferred the kimbaps since there was more filling (i.e. egg, pickled vegetables) other than rice and meat. I also wished there was more variety in tofu bite toppings like Yubu's tofu bites in East Village. Even though the tofu bite is Rice Kitchen's selling point, I recommend skipping it and getting the kimbap instead. Overall, it was a good experience! read more

This place is a really solid Korean option in the Tribeca/SoHo area. I was expecting this place to be Korean fusion, but was pleasantly surprised that the flavors were pretty legit and would not be out of place in K-town. For what it's worth the cashier and cook were speaking in Korean and I took that as a big positive! We had the bulgolgi kimbap and a rice kitchen bowl with bulgolgi and mushrooms. The kimbap was great - the ingredients included radish, carrot, spinach and burdock root. Super tasty. The bowl was almost just like the kimbap but in a bowl form. I wanted to try the spicy pork or chicken, but my 3 year old would not be able to handle. Next time I'll have to try their spicy meats. They have a small outdoor dining area which we enjoyed on a mild spring day. We had the space all to ourselves which was really nice. read more

Ordered the kimbap and rice bowl, portions are very filling, the specialty drink, yuja mint ade was interesting, if you've ever had the yuzu syrup imagine that but fizzy, order came out pretty quickly and was still warm when we ate.
