Service was horrible. After sitting down, waited 10 mins for a server. Funny cuz there's gotta be 20 people on staff. Seems you have to have tattoos to work there. Pretty sad that there's no good management. Finally got order in and then my drink never came. And it was 20 mins before I saw my server again. Place seems like an a adult / teenage day care. Even off duty employees hangin out and causally strolling thru the kitchen and bar area. Nothing real exciting about the food either. Tried this chain in other areas and this place is sad especially for being new. read more

This is a review of the service at this point, because we have been waiting for any food for 45 minutes now and haven't seen any. It's 3 pm on a Monday. Our server could absolutely give two hoots about anything. Our party placed our orders, then 3 minutes later she returned to tell 3 out of 4 of us that they are out of what they ordered. Really? 30 minutes to figure that out? Shame on you! I went to the men's room to wash my hands and had to wash them twice, the restroom was so disgusting. I just asked to speak with a manager who was apologetic and said he was going to comp our meal. Still waiting. The food finally arrived and I have to say it was pretty good. The sausage was not overly seasoned, the ribs were smoky but a bit over cooked and jerky-like. The onion rings were very good - the fried okra was right out of the freezer. read more

Delicious food and great service! Can't believe all of the outdated mindsets in these reviews. Tattoos = felonies? Please. Consistent with the branch in Sherman! We know we can count on a good meal when we drop by. I recommend the sweet and smokey beans! All of the meat is good but I recommend the pulled pork. :) Keep up the good work, guys! read more

Everything I ate here was delicious! The dry rub ribs were perfect, and I loved each of the three barbecue sauces they had at the table. The fries and coleslaw were great, and our lemonade cake was the best possible ending to our meal. My only minor problems that brought the experience down to a B+ were with the new waitstaff. Keep in mind this was their first Friday night since the place opened up. The hostess wasn't announcing any names for tables outside, and there were obviously a lot of people waiting out there! That doubled our wait time. Then I don't know if this is just how they do it, but we basically had two people waiting on us and they obviously weren't communicating with each other. In the end, the waitstaff was friendly and we had a delicious dinner. They're slammed busy right now and they've only just opened, so I know they'll work the kinks out and this will be one of my new favorite places in town! read more

Ordered food to go well in advance to pick up for 12 noon. Get there and the food is ready just sitting there getting cold because it took 20 minutes for someone to even ask. People were waiting to be seated. I know it's lunch time but so should they and be prepared for a rush. I'm not one to post complaints but I was buying food for others for a Christmas lunch and I had to serve it cold which is frustrating. The food is ok, but I think it's a personal opinion of who likes the taste and who doesn't. Well, to lower my review further... After finally sitting down to eat my baked potato, I bit into a piece of white plastic which easily could have been a choking hazard. It was almost the size of a dime mixed in with the meat, cheese, & butter on the potato read more

Pretty awesome...great atmosphere. Very friendly staff! I had the sliced brisket sandwich. read more

RibCrib BBQ - Barbeque Near Me - Gainesville, Texas

The ribs were awesome, so tender they fell off the bone. Sides were good too, try the Smokey baked beans they were yummy! Service was also excellent, server was very attentive and kept our drinks refilled. Definitely will be back!! read more

We wanted to have lunch on the front patio. The tables were filthy. Old sun baked grime. Obviously have not been cleaned in months. Hostess brought our drinks but the server went back inside and after 15 minutes of being ignored we left. Never saw another employee. Will not be back. read more

Food not bad...portions are big. Service was slow. Prices reasonable....miggt come back read more

This was the absolute best pulled pork I have ever had super moist just enough fat the fries and onion rings are fantastic. Kim our waitress is super nice and friendly. This is a hidden gem for bbq wasn't too busy at 3 pm on Saturday but already out of brisket so come early trust me you will love this place! read more

Who has the meats? It certainly isn't Arby's! Rib Crib serves up all meat on the bone. It is tender, well-sauced and you get no gristle or fat. Add in the sheer amount of meat on each bone and you will be amazed. Move over Tony Roma for there's a new sheriff in town! Service was very pleasant, the interior is quite nice and parking was easy. Just be sure to bring your appetite. You're gonna need it! read more

Food was delicious. Service was great. Women's restroom was a disaster. We were there for lunch with two kids under 5. Only on toilet operational and that one had a broken latch on the door. And they ran out of toilet paper! Someone should be checking the restroom every hour. And get that toilet fixed! read more

This place was delicious. The employee at the bar was awesome. She didn't get our order right but made up for it immediately. The food was delicious. The chicken wings were the best I've ever had, so meaty. The onion rings were huge. The brisket sandwich we got to share was yummy. read more

Very good ribs. Best I've had. This place is delicious and fun. Would hang out here with friends when I can

I ordered a pulled pork sammich that was delicious!! bun was buttered and tasty. it came with a side fries in which i wasn't as impressed. they tasted weird and it took me awhile to place the tase. kinda like they were made with bad/old butter or oil. Would come again for the meats but staying away from the fries read more

dine in during cov19 and employees not wearing masks but what's really bad is waitress actually leaned on table and yawned in my dads face. What idiot does that to older clientele ? Cov19 or not just unacceptable behaviour. Food generous portions of meat priced right and good. Mac and cheese disgusting prison food quality green beans had several stems in with the beans. Never again and prior visits were great so not sure what happened but also did not appear clean read more

Food is always great here. I have ordered a variety of things of the menu and have never been disappointed. Service is always amazing and has a great atmosphere with a low wait time. Best restraunt in Gainesville!! Try the bacon cheeseburger or fried pickles. read more

Whatever you do, do not go to this place!!! If you want barbecue drive less than 10 miles down The road to Lindsey and eat something good at Dieters. This place is terrible and the service was even worse!!!!! Then they bring you the check and wow!!! They price themselves like they are a fine steak house!!! Never again!!! read more

Average chain BBQ. Nothing special. If you are allergic to doll be aware undocumented pickles are served on your plate.

Okay so my boyfriend and I are both born and raised in Texas. We know and love good SMOKED BBQ. When we walked in we thought it was very odd that the smoker was not up and running and it didn't smell like BBQ at all. We started off with the brisket smoked queso. The queso came out within 5 minutes of ordering it. It was not smoked at all. It was so bland! The cheese tasted like they took sandwich cheese melted and they threw in some shitty warmed up frozen brisket. The salsa tasted like canned tomatoes. It was god awful. We were so hungry and we ate the store bought chips. Then my boyfriend ordered the three meat plate which is supposedly what they are known for. It came out and looked fake? I can't even explain it. It was horrible. The turkey tasted like deli meat, the brisket was so bland again, then the sausage was like a hot dog. Then the coleslaw was brown, bitter and sour. Absolutely nothing was smoked. I'm picky but my boyfriend is not so for him to say it was bad then it was HORRIBLE. The French fries were definitely frozen. The BBQ sauce was so sweet and not BBQ sauce. Now I got the salad bc I already was put off by the food bc the server admitted the ribs weren't smoked and they don't have a grill??? What restaurant doesn't have a grill??? My salad literally made me sick I didn't eat any of it. I said no tomato's and the salad was all tomatoes it was horrible. As soon as we left we felt sick. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!!! There's a reason that only old people eat here bc you literally have to have no taste to like this place. And even then how do they not want to throw up after. If I could give this place a negative star review I would. read more

Got our order to go. Food was greasy and the portions of meat were very small and over priced. 2 out of 4 people that ate had stomach issues for the next 24 hours. No bueno... read more

I've been to several of these RibCribs before and this one by far is the best. The service was extra quick and friendly. Their staff have found that fine line between attentiveness and hovering. My party had a burger, two meat, chicken fried steak and ribs. Very good food. I have zero complaints about the food. Anyone passing through traveling down 35, stop in and check it out. read more

Four of us ate at RibCrib for the first time yesterday, and it was wonderful. I got the Sante Fe Spud and a strawberry margarita. The smoked chicken breast on the potato was cooked to perfection and plenty of it. The drinks were good and everything very reasonably priced. We will definitely go back. It is not an upscale restaurant, very casual, which was what we were looking for after going to the Liberty Crossing Market Days in Gainesville. Well worth the drive from Denton. read more

We had great food. Catfish and ribs with mashed potatoes and fried okra. Portion size was perfect and I had two Blue Moon beers with the meal. Food was the correct temperature and service was great. read more

Walking in I felt like I was at Bennigans or Chili's or something. The restaurant felt "loud" with all the things on the wall screaming but then I took time to notice it and was pleasantly surprised to see it wasn't all cliche items but local memorabilia and history. Waitress was as warm and friendly as a Texas sunrise on the bay. I ordered a 2 meat plate with some side and a salad...yea a salad at a BBQ joint. Well let me tell you what, this is the best salad I've ever had. The little rolled up strips or whatever the heck they put in them and huuuuuuuuuueeeeeyyy that's not your typical side salad. I'm not 100% sure but the ranch doesn't taste like your typical bottle stuff. I may be wrong but I think they make it themselves on site. I never thought I'd rave about a side salad but here it is. The BBQ it self is excellent as well and the sauce really is boss. I've been there about 5 times on my way up to the casinos and as long as it's open when I'm driving by I always make sure to stop in. read more

Way to expensive and the wait staff was rude the two times I've been there. Won't be a third.

This place is way overhyped. The food is mediocre for a large price. This isn't real BBQ. Go to spring creek or dickys.

Never been to Rib Crib before... I saw it on the way up to OK & gave it a try. Pros: cool restaurant atmosphere , nice bar area with TVs, decent service. Cons: mediocre food. I had the Carolina style pulled pork sandwich plate. Meat was bland... no smoky flavor, seasoned fries were almost cold, the Carolina style barbecue sauce (mustard, vinegar based) Had too much of a vinegary taste and less of a barbecue mustard flavor. I've had This kind of sauce before ;this one is not good. I've had excellent Carolina pulled pork sandwiches at places like Red, Hot, & Blue...this one didn't even come close to theirs! I'll give rib crib another chance ...Will try the ribs but keeping my expectations low. read more

Meat poorly chosen by owners or management. Mid-grade meat for a "higher price is what ya get".. Portions were obviously monitored. My sausage was unfortunately entirely to greasy. Leaking some kind of oil or something like crazy when I cut into it. The pork was cold and sauce to thick. Pickles were dry no juice. Half-Slice of bread cold. I took my wife and 2 year old daughter. Atmosphere is fair. Staff(decent). Too much staff when we went. Newer places seem to do that often trying to get schedules correct. Other then that. Total amount for 3 meals without dessert ran me a good 60 bucks after a 10 dollar tip. The tip was for the amazing waitress we had not the food. Lol hope this helped!! read more

Food is good. Restaurant is clean and the employees are good at their job. The loaded baked potato is the best

Our first time at a RibCrib, and we will not be coming back. We both ordered baby back ribs. There was so much dry rub on them that that's all you could taste. It was like a heavy crust all over them. The bones were larger than any baby back ribs we ever saw and the meat was certainly not falling off the bone! The fries were good. read more

Last night I decided to order out, and I wanted the rib crib's loaded spud potato. I went and picked it up got it at home, and it looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for many many hours. The potato was hard around the edges, the meat was dried had no moisture to it. It was just a bad experience for the first time on take out. If and when I eat there again I will double check maybe triple check my order on takeout. read more
