This place could be so good, the potential is there but the execution is falling short. I've ate plenty bbq all over Texas and this bbq isn't bad. It's better than your typical airport bbq which is what I was expecting. But I can say it's only slightly better. It's convenient, right off the casino floor and you order at the counter. There was a line and only one cashier at prime time for dinner. This was in between Christmas and New Year's so the hotel was full. Now we all know they aren't cooking it up fresh back there, it's bbq, they just have to cut it up and plate it. This type of food is perfect for a busy casino floor or even a concession stand! However, it took nearly 30 minutes for the food to get played and brought to our table. Others around us were visibly frustrated. It's casual dining on disposable plates and flatware so I guess I should temper my expectations but I think people would accept that for what it is if it weren't taking so long to get the food out. The place will looked packed and there will be a line, don't let it fool you. It's not that it's that good, they just aren't turning tables and that line hardly moves. My salad was pre-packaged- it tasted ok but had I known it wasn't going to be made fresh I probably would have ordered something else. It would have been nice to have the meats be warm. I ordered two ribs and the flavor was ok but they were far from "fall off the bone", now I know some people like to have their ribs with some pull required ti get them off the bone but I prefer some with a bone that comes clean. read more

I really enjoyed the bbq here, it was tender and tasty. Great seasoning and the sides were very good. The staff and service were wonderful, very polite and on it. We got our food pretty quickly and was asked multiple times if we needed anything, they were great. The restaurant itself was very clean, good amount of seating, and didn't smell like cigarette smoke. I loved the baked beans it was my favorite side and the ribs were seasoned perfectly and fell of the bone with a simple bite. I recommend eating here if you ever visit the WinStar! read more

Avoid this place at all cost if you are hungry. We have been sitting here for over 40 minutes waiting on 2 premade salads and a some brisket, not a sandwich, nothing special, just a pile of meat! I asked the employee if we could get the salads and he said he would see what he would do. We have eaten here before and I know for fact they just take them out of the cooler up front! My wife and I ate lunch here yesterday with a food voucher and we enjoyed it. Reasonable wait time, acceptable customer service, decent quality food, and prices were as expected. Would I come back without a free food voucher? Probably not. I had the Pulled Pork Smashed Potato. The potato was a little overcooked and the skin was tough and hard to cut through with plastic cutlery, but the overall flavor of the dish was good. My wife ordered the three meat plate. The brisket, jalapeno cheddar sausage and ribs were all good. Baked beans were nothing special, neither was the cornbread. The Carolina BBQ sauce was our favorite of the three, even though it was nothing like actual Carolina style BBQ sauce. Not much else to say. The place looks nice outside. The prices are overpriced, but you are at the casino so I am sure the business has to pay royalties. The place was pretty busy at 6:00pm on a Tuesday. I ordered the brisket mac n cheese and the original sandwich to go. I had the mac and cheese and it was really goo even after the following day. The sandwich was okay. Came to the Neon Pig for the first time! The cashier, Rheanne was very nice and welcoming. The food was delicious! The line: there were no line at all and this is located in a new area which kind of attracts us plus its a bbq and I was craving ribs. The price seems very reasonably cheap. We end up spending about $52 for the meal for 2 here. I got three combo plates of jalapeño cheese sausage, ribs and brisket with sides of coleslaw and mac and cheese. My bf got pulled pork nachos. Three combo plates: Jalapeño and cheese sausage was flavorful and yummy. Brisket was well cooked and ribs were great. The portion wasn't big for $26. Just enough for one person. The sides of coleslaw was ok but the mac n cheese was awful. You could only taste mac and butter with hardly or no cheese at all. We told them about it and all they said is they will let the cook knows and walked away. The nacho was just ok. I wouldn't get it again though. The sauces were pretty good but for the price that we thought it was jot that expensive, I could have got something better. Tried the Neon Pig that is located in the new non smoking section of Rome at Winstar. Just like many other restaurants in the casino the kitchen is open and your able to see 85% of what's going on. As we walked up to the cash counter the female Manager was doing a transaction with 3 other employees. Not once did either one of them acknowledge our presence. After approximately 3 minutes the Manager asked what we would like. I order the three meat platter(brisket, sausage & pulled chicken) with sides of pinto beans & Jalapeño mac and cheese and corn bread. I ordered a Pepsi which is refillable but you have go back to the cashier from them to refill. I was given a number on a tall number sign to put on our table. Within 10 minutes my food was brought out by a pleasent lady dressed professionally. At each table you have three sauces; Hot BBQ, Regular BBQ & Carolina Reaper. All three sauce are good. The brisket had minimal fat and was cooked pretty good. A good smoke line & good tasting bark. Now don't go comparing to BBQ places like Hard Eight or Lockharts, you are in a casino. The sausage has a lot of spice & pepper. For me it was great, for my wife too spicy. The pulled chicken was, meh. The pinto bean lacked salt, once I added salt they were pretty good. The Jalapeño Man & Cheese was creamy & very spicy. It is very good even though I am not a Mac & Cheese guy. My wife who doesn't like spicy devoured it. I also overheard another lady sitting behind us we was telling her table the Mac & Cheese was too spicy. Again, it is called JALAPEÑO MAC & CHEESE! The cornbread was nothing special, served with a large cup of cold hard butter. My bill was around $36. Not bad for the amount of items and portion sizes. They can do some tweaking of their concept like; moving the beverage tower to the customer side. Don't serve their sides in a paper boat. Don't use a thin paper liner on the meat tray. (Once it gets moist & you cut your items you get small pieces of paper along with your meat). Go with a thicker liner. Add slightly more salt to the pinto beans. The biggest opportunity for the Neon Pig is a lack of Hospitality. Retrain your cashiers & Managers on customer acknowledgment, Smile, Engage, Suggestive selling and upselling items since it is a new concept. I saw numerous customers standing back from the cash counter trying to decide what to order. Someone should interact with these customers and explain & suggest items. I gave this visit 3 stars, would have been a 4 if the hospitality would have been there. I would definitely go back and I hope they address their opportunities. read more

I went to the Neon Pig a week ago on a Monday evening and unfortunately, asked for a brisket platter to go. That and a bottle of water was almost $29.00. When I opened the to go container, I was really suprised to see the condition of the 3 pieces of Brisket. It was even worse when I flipped the brisket over to see that 1/2 of the 3 slices was nothing but fat. I cook brisket a lot and would never serve anyone the fat. Much less charge someone $24.00 for 1 1/2 slices of meat. Shame on the management of this new place up at Winstar! read more

Been twice, once for dinner last week, lunch today. Food's been okay, way better bbq around tho, even in WinStar for example at Toby's. Way overpriced for what you get. Most surprising thing for me, as a brand new restaurant in a nice casino, is the staff. Every one at the counter seems so angry and not wanting to be there at all. Borderline rude. No matter how nice I saw customers being while ordering, all frowns and no smiles from behind the counter. Not a single "welcome" or "hi", just "what do you want". Mediocre, overpriced food + angry staff = probably won't be back. Sadly, because this place coulda been a hit. read more
