Start off by looking at the menu near the front door. Then order at the front. You then go find your table and you are pleasantly greeted by your server. Ours was Meg. She takes your drink order, asks if you want any sauces, a choice of sweet spicy or mild. We ordered the pulled pork and burnt ends. It wasn't long after our drinks were served and on to the main course. The pork moist and very flavor. Our burnt ends were brisket and we were expecting pork belly. A nice change. We would order those again. The sauce was very tasty. The portions were a good size. I just wished the side portions were a bit bigger. The service was great as we were checked on but not bothered. At the end, you are offered dessert. They even have an ice cream machine to select vanities chocolate from. A very unique place and a good find for the drive home. Thanks wife!! read more

Awesome, friendly service. Good ole country atmosphere. Great flavor to the meat. You know its good bbq when they dont smother it in bbq sauce. The oklahoma sampler gives you a little bit of everything (rib, pulled pork, sausage, brisket, and chicken. You also get 2 sides and a roll. read more

I stumbled on this restaurant looking for another one and decided this one would be better and I was right. Easy ordering and paying ahead of time then a server brings you your drink, asks you for your barbecue sauce order, in other words takes care of everything for you. I really like this setup because once you've finished eating you can leave right away, no need to wait for the check. Service from my server was excellent. I ordered the 3 Rib Dinner with two sides. They have a dozen sides to choose from. I chose the Sweet Beans and the Onion Straws. All of the food was superb and very delicious. The ribs were huge! I couldn't finish the third rib. They were not the baby back size but the old style with plenty of meat on them. I loved them! I chose the sweet barbecue sauce and it was tasty, not spicy at all, which was good for me. Parking my truck with an RV in tow was not an issue. I parked on the curb of the service road in front of a semi-truck already parked there. The driver told me the food inside the restaurant was good too. I will definitely come back here for lunch or dinner. read more

Swadleys BBQ again was absolutely amazing. I have eaten there around ten times. Being from Texas it is hard to get there more often. Swadleys is amazing. The staff has always been attentive and genuine. Nice people doing great business. The food. I have never had a bad meal here. My latest meal was the burnt ends with sweet beans and okra. Best burnt ends I have ever eaten. I asked for lean burnt ends. They trimmed the fat off and the meal was perfect. P.S. The cherry cobbler is outstanding. I gave a 3 because the service was excellent, the food on the other hand was not quality, I ordered the burnt ends combo, the potatoes were cold and the sandwich was sloppily made, sauce on the top bun, lots of fat in the meat. The sauce was extremely sweet, not a good value for the quantity and quality. read more

Traveling through Oklahoma and decided to grab some lunch. We saw a billboard for Swadley's and checked out the reviews. Service was excellent! We tried the sampler with an order of burnt ends. The burnt ends and pulled pork were the favorites. The rib had really good flavor. Sweet beans and green beans reminded me of home. Restaurant was very clean. We would definitely stop again. Would have given it a 5 star but some of the meat was a little dry, but the BBQ sauces helped. read more

Our first time eating here and we were impressed! I got the chicken fried steak and macaroni, it was delicious. My husband got the big platter which was a little bit of everything with potato salad and baked. His only complaint was the brisket was a little chewy, also the sausage didn't have much flavor but was still good. He got the spicy bbq sauce and it was so good! A little sweet and a good kick. He raved about the potato salad, said it was his favorite thing. All in all, the food was good and the price was fair. Definitely some good BBQ. read more

This used to be our favorite place. We live 35 miles away and at times would drive here just for the Oklahoma Sampler. However, service and food has gone downhill so much. I deleted my previous reviews raving about how great it was bc it isn't any longer. I called a few months back about them charging me almost double for a creamed corn and was told "oh sorry about that. Hope you have a good day." I work in customer service and I treat everyone the way I wish to be treated and won't serve food that I wouldn't eat myself. Today was the last straw. This has happened numerous times before but I ignored it and decided it needed to be brought to the manager's attention today. The Oklahoma Sampler comes with a rib. I got a rib that was about an inch longer than the roll beside it. It's the size ribs they put in the kids meal. They boast that the Sampler is over a pound of meat. I would be shocked if it was even a pound at all. I called asking why they keep putting a little rib end in the Sampler meal and the manager said it's basically luck of the draw. You might get a middle piece with more meat that's larger or a tiny end piece. Most businesses will add an extra piece in if it's super small. Not worth $28 at all. Neither of my sides were filled up either which I was unaware of until after I had already called asking what was going on with the rib. Both the potato salad and corn were half full. The Moore location is amazing so I will go there. Ardmore doesn't care and won't correct any issues. You can look at the previous pics I've posted for more details too. read more

Driving back to Dallas from OKC and saw the billboards for Swadley's. So glad we pulled in for dinner! The food options are many! I had the 1/4 lb CFS, mashed potatoes and sweet beans. Halotus had the burnt ends with okra and mac n' cheese. Both entrees came with a roll. The meals were DELICIOUS and the service was stellar. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. If you're in Ardmore, Oklahoma near exit 32... try this place. You won't be disappointed! read more

First time here. Picked this place based on Yelp rating. My wife had regular sausage sandwich and potato salad...said both were very good. I had the brisket / sausage plate - sliced brisket and the jalapeño/cheese sausage. My sides were fried okra and "skillet taters". The sausage was good; the brisket was a little dry. The best thing on my plate was the okra. Wow!! Didn't eat much of the "taters" because the okra portion was so big. Worst thing we had was the free ice cream for dessert. Not worth the calories....even for free. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. (It's an unusual system. You order your food, then go to a table. Then your server brings your drink, bbq sauce, pickles etc. as opposed to getting your own stuff. Driving through from Texas should not have stopped driving. Walk in to a pretty not happy staff. They have a bar area set up with three soda fountains, cups and toppings for sandwiches and bbq sauce. When you see that next to the self serve salad bar you may think to your self you could help your self to a drink you already paid for. YOU WOULD BE MISTAKEN!! got yelled at to go sit down. Now on to when the food arrives. If you want to spend mmoney on meals that came out wrong then this is yourr place. Do you like your bbq cooked in a drying machine then this would be your place. Had lunch here on Thursday 05-05-22 and it was great. Have been to the location in El Reno a few times over the last couple of years, but had never stopped in the one in Ardmore. Nicely decorated and clean restaurant - inside and outside. Came through the front doors and zig-zaged to the ordering counter. Was greeted warmly, THEN asked what i was eating. In my mind I was thinking, greeting before business - this is going to work out! Ordered my food - jalapeno sausage sandwich, side of fried okra and potatoes and a beverage. Took my number card and sat down and a couple different employees talked to me as they passed by! Took a seat and was greeted by my server a minute or so later. She asked about sauces and condiments and brought those and my beverage right out. Not long afterwards my lunch arrived - nearly spilling off the plate. So much food ... The jap sausage was tender, spicy and very tasty and the roll/bun it was placed on wasn't your typical hamburger bun. The okra and potatoes were cooked just right and steaming hot. Swadley's is a good bbq place to go to if your in a mood for bbq (Texas is the best ) lol . I ordered a baked potato with a side salad and I have to say it was delicious. The waiter, his name is Joe pretty cool dude . Simple conversation is all someone really needs some time. The place is big and spacious. Perfect Barbecue destination! Walk up and order and the wait staff does the rest. We had The Oklahoma Sampler. Oh baby, this was a perfect platter to try many of the meat items on the menu! It comes with your choice of 2 sides. Potato salad and fried okra were fantastic! Sliced Brisket, chopped brisket, smoked rib, smoked chicken and sausages were so good with just the right amount of smoke! Several condiments (sauces, onions, pickles etc.) are served with the meal. Absolutely love stopping here on my trips between Dallas and OKC! Food is great, staff is friendly and attentive, and they have a great selection of main dishes and sides to choose from. I like the Burnt Ends but I have gotten everything and it is all good. And for business travelers they give you the opportunity to include the tip when you pay and then they give you cash to leave on the table which makes life easier! read more
