Fat Bully's is a fascinating little burger hut, nestled in a wooded area off the beaten path, a quarter of a mile from the Lake of the Arbuckle's, just outside of Sulphur, OK. Its owners, Michael and Christina Baker, opened this establishment on May 30, 2016. The restaurant named for the two major loves in this couple's life motorcycles and their beloved bulldog. The diner is seasonal; it is only open in the spring and summer months. With a creative motorcycle theme, a unique décor of bike parts as wall ornaments, and amazing pictures of motorcyclists new, old, famous, and not, craftily embedded into the tables. Even the holder on the table for the sweetener is a piston from a motorcycle. They have outdoor seating, some in a roofed patio and some in the back among the trees. On the weekends, they have alluring live music in this intriguing outside area.
The quality of service is remarkable. The staff is inviting and friendly, giving the customer a sense of belonging the moment they walk through the door. Waitresses are vigilant of each customer's needs and demands. Providing fast service to everyone in a cozy, hometown atmosphere, with a smile on their face. The cook prepares the food on a small grill visible to each customer from the dining room, carefully constructing each hand-packed burger to perfection.
The quality and quantity of food is outstanding. There is a variety of charmingly named foods such as The Back-Fire Burger, Burn Out Burger, the famous Death by Meat Burger, and the Broken Spokes appetizer. Each enormous mouthwatering burger served on a savory sweet bun with a side of fry's, tater tots, or onion rings. A meal coupled with a glass of iced tea, soft drink, or a cold beer is hard to beat. There is a burger for every person's liking, with each delicious bite more heavenly than the last.
The restaurant is clean and well kept. Though the inside dining area is small with only seven tables and a bar with parts of motorcycles everywhere, it is a clean environment to eat in. The food is prepared within site and handled in a sanitary fashion. Each meal offered in a plastic burger basket lined with sandwich paper to provide a sterile serving dish. The tables and floors in both the kitchen and dining areas are kept clean.
