The service here was very good. From the hostess to our waitress. We were greater quickly and shown to our table. The waitress was real kind and helpful. I decided on the early bird plate that comes with two meats. I wanted to try the ribs and asked the waitress what she would recommend. She was very honest and I decided on the chicken breast. We got another plate with the chicken and the pulled pork. The ribs are real good, a nice rub and smoked just enough. As another reviewer stated the meat doesn't fall off the bone but comes off easily. Definitely good taste and not dry. The chicken is smoked well and moist. Not dry at all. The pulled pork was good but probably liked the chicken and ribs better. The beans are good, they have some chopped brisket in them and the regular bbq sauce that gives them a bit of a sweet taste. There are three types of bbq sauce, regular a slight sweet taste, spicy the heat builds on you and a Carolina sauce that has the mustard taste. I liked the early bird plate because it left me room for a fried pie. We got apple and peach. As much as I like apple I think the peach was better. Enjoyed the service and food. Service is lacking the 3 times I have been. It really takes 3 times to determine if a place is good, bad, or ugly. This place is on the border of ugly and bad. Decent sauces, good sides, BUT the BBQ is edible trash. Should not be in business in Texas - maybe acceptable in Canada. read more

Stopped in on my way home from Oklahoma. I was greeted as I walked in the door. Checked out the menu and decided on the Threes company with beans and potato salad. Warning the smoked beans are Chernobyl hot temp wise lol! But damn good. Chicken and Turkey were moist and flavorful. The polish sausage was ok to me, it had some spice or something that gave it a gym sock sorta taste to me. Not my thing. I enjoyed the pickles and potato salad. Waitress was great, friendly and fun to talk with. Enjoyed getting to spend a moment and have a conversation. Hope that won't get her in trouble. Really enjoyed myself and will be back. read more

This resraurant does a great job. Even if it is 6 or 8 months beteeen visits, the consistency of the cook on the ribs is perfect. The dry rub on the ribs is excellent. Our server Evonne did a great job, but when she got a little in the weeds, the manager Christina jumped in to help her out. Great team work! Service was fine , but the star of the day are those ribs! We had lunch at the Gainesville location. We have eaten at this one and others on numerous locations. The food is consistently good. I normally get the ribs. Today i really wanted catfish. I mentioned to our waitress, Heavenly, that I was in a quandary between the two. She suggested the two meat plate and get both. I did...with loaded baked potato and a side salad. The salad was the best I've had in ages. It had crisp lettuce, shredded cheese and these crispy onions things...it was delicious! We were finishing our salads and she brought our food. The ribs were good, as usual, but the catfish......hands down the best I've had. The outside was crispy, crunchy and the catfish was moist, al.ost buttery!! Came in as a party of 8 (4 adults 4 kids) and were sat immediately. Music selection that is playing is great but a little hard to hear. Cute restaurant. Our server was friendly and prompt. He brought the kids food out first which is always appreciated. My son enjoyed his meal of chicken tenders with fries and corn. The kids meal comes with a drink and dessert. Great price for what you get. I ordered a Texas spud with brisket which was ENORMOUS I brought half back home with me. Spicy BBQ sauce on the table was delicious. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Customer service gets 5/5 all day long! We were greeting with a nice "hello" the moment we arrived and seated immediately. Our server was attentive and polite, making sure we had what we needed for the meal. The actual food is why I rated this way, so let me explain. The restaurant's name gave us the impression that we would be devouring fresh, tasty ribs right from the grill. But our expectations were a bit high as the ribs were not fresh. They had a great overall flavor, but they weren't straight from the grill and seemed to have been re-heated from the day before. Kind of a letdown. The brisket was the same thing, it tasted re-heated and was still a bit on the cold side. I ordered the Smokey Chicken Sandwich. Unfortunately my chicken very closely resembled the Perdue brand chicken I buy from Kroger that already has the seasoning on the outside and cut into strips. There's nothing wrong with not making your own in-house chicken, but it was also cold. The bacon was fresh though! And the green beans were hot/fresh and seasoned just right. We can say now that we've tried RibCrib, but we most likely won't be back. We appreciate the experience though! read more

Chain establishment but I have to say their ribs are excellent. My Wife said mine taste better than these, probably because they rely on sauce for flavor, but the cook is excellent. The meat does not fall off the bone, it is pulled with a very light bite and is extremely tender. That is so hard to do, and they do it great. Mac & Cheese side was very good, coleslaw was average. Service was fast and friendly but the place needs a thorough cleaning. It smells musty, the carpet is stained and the table in the booths need a cleaning to remove the stickiness that comes from wiping it with a cleaner that reacts to the varnish on the tables. Everything tasted excellent! Ribs, pulled pork, sausage, mac & cheese, fries, mashed potatoes, fried okra, salad; and for starters we had the brisket white queso dip and chips. Even the chips were made fresh made, and the best I've ever tasted. I'd go back just for that alone. Kudos to the manager, cooks, and server. It's actually surprising that a chain could be this good. We drove up from Denton and it was worth it. I don't mind paying a higher price if the food is that good. Total bill for 3 people was $60. I'm not being paid to say this either - I mean every word of it. Keep up the great work here. We will definitely be back. read more

Third time visiting this place for lunch. I always try two or three meat plates on my last visit. I tried the motherlode this time. Loved the variety it offers. This place isn't good for BBQ. I've eaten here at least 3 different times on our way back from Winstar. This time we got here at 11 (opening) and the workers were still pulling chairs down, uncovering the sauces and getting the restaurant setup. Shouldn't they be there early to get everything ready to actually be OPEN at 11?? We ordered tea and told it would be 10-15 minute wait as they hadn't made the tea yet, again what?! At least one of the times we've come here and told they didn't have ribs ready. I got the super spud and sadly it was a super dud! The potato had no flavor, no salt or anything and only a TINY amount of butter and sour cream. The brisket wasn't good either, it tasted like microwave food. In Texas where BBQ is known to be great this place falls FAR short. The only positive is its quick, from the time we sat down to the time we left was under 45 minutes. read more

This is not a BBQ joint like most in TX. Rustic and smoky. This is more of a chain type restaurant but the ribs were good the service is friendly and the place is clean. Pulled pork was a bit mushy but it had great flavor. The sauce choices are Carolina mustard, Old 92, and spicy 92. There is more pepper I. The spicy but it's not hot. Need some jalapeño is to make it better. Go for the ribs as they were the right mix of tender and firm like a pork rib should be and I really liked the dry rub. Hubby and I passed this place a few times and finally decided to give it a try, let's just say I wish we hadn't. The welcome staff wasn't very welcoming at all. Once we were seated the waiter came to the table and spoke very fast. We ordered fried pickles for an appetizer and he practically threw them on the table. My husband and I both ordered plates and it's was not good at all. Hubby had the dish called dirty deed which was basically ribs, sausage and pulled pork with beans and Mac n cheese and I ordered a two meat plate which was brisket, hot links, beans and potato salad. NOTHING WAS GOOD! The quick moving waiter came back to the table to refill our drinks and spilled tea down my leg. Stopped here on out way back from Oklahoma. The inside of the restaurant was on the small side, but adequate seating. The menu wasn't partner which was good and cut down on the options to choose from. It was a little disappointing that the sides weren't able to be substituted on most of the orders. I ordered the dirty deed, which included St. Louis ribs (I chose Okie style), where's the TX style lol, smoked sausage, and pulled pork. The rooms were really good until I find a hair in my food. I asked if I could just get the ribs on the new plate that she offered me. She even upcharged for the change. Not really what I would call good customer service. This was the slowest BBQ restaurant ever. Ordered the 3 meat plate. All items should have been precooked. The waitress was great but it took way to long. I understand a wait if they had too cook a burger or something. I've never seen a restaurant charge an additional $2 for brisket. The meat was almost cold. The brisket was pre sliced and didn't have any flavor or a smoke ring. The ribs were seasoned but again no smoke flavor. The polish sausage was uneventful as well. Macaroni and cheese tasted like it was food service quality. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is for the waitress. read more

We used to be fairly regular at Rib Crib but with COVID, we've been there less and the last couple times maybe we did take out which we enjoyed. This time we went inside and we were surprised a couple times. We ordered pretty much the same thing we usually get, three meet plate with brisket and two other meets. We were surprised that without asking they gave us chopped brisket. I asked the waitress about this as always in the past when we ordered brisket, they brought out sliced. I asked the waitress about this. She said if we had specified sliced brisket, she would have told us they did not have it and ask was it OK to substitute chopped brisket. Since we did not specify, (we were never asked to before), she did not see the need to tell us that they did not have sliced brisket, they just switched us to what they had. When I got the bill, I was further surprised that they added on $2 to the menu price for each plate because we ordered brisket. I asked her where that came from. She pointed me to some fine print on the menu in a little red sticker saying they were adding $2 to all orders including brisket. I think she should have told us up front that they were substituting chopped brisket and there was a surcharge. Neither of us finished it as it was greasy. We took some of the other meat home with us but left the GREASY CHOPPED brisket. I expect it will be a while before we go back and we will be making sure we ask questions rather than assume they will do what they used to do. read more
