Yikes! This place is one of the worst BBQ joints I've ever been to! I have been here two times and will definitely not be coming back.
The first time we ate there, we came in an hour and a half before closing time. Our waitress was a complete dead fish and seemed annoyed at us the entire meal, like we were holding her up from closing, even though we ultimately left almost an hour before the closing time. This did not help make up for the absolutely disgusting food.
I had a salad as a side to my meal. The honey mustard dressing literally tasted like honey and French's Yellow Mustard mixed together and the salad was dry (no, I am not even sure how the heck that is possible) and partly brown. Not a good sign. We got an appetizer of burned onion rings and poorly cut, cartilage-y, dry, and unseasoned St. Louis style ribs. I got a steak for my meal. which was a small, fatty piece of meat with a side of burned, inedible, unseasoned fries. My husband got something like "The Captain's Platter", which consisted of small weird slabs and pieces of various meats and more burned onion rings. He barely ate it, as most of it was weird, unidentifiable, and inedible.
The second time we ate here, thinking we'd give it a second go, we grabbed some food to go with my in-laws. They paid something like $14 for our small "pound" of dry, weird brisket. It was brown on the inside, but rimmed with pink along the outside. I'm not sure what level of spoilage or poor cooking it takes to accomplish such a thing, but let's just say no one ate much. Even the BBQ sauce is weird here. The sides we got were the coleslaw, potato salad, and baked beans. Just...no. Horrible. If you honestly can't make passable potato salad or beans, please do not open a restaurant. The only plus is no one got food poisoning. read more
