I have called 5 times and filled out their online form, too. Maybe they have a serious shortage of staff? Maybe their workers are overwhelmed? I finally got an appointment for this morning after 5 calls over a 3 week period, leaving messages and finally speaking to a person once who assured me that someone would get back to me soon. I have been trying to reach Rhinobee for the last 3 weeks now to sign up for new service. They do not have a direct line to reach them, only an answering service that also handles calls for other companies. Over the last 3 weeks I have tried to get in touch with them now 3 times on the phone (with messages forwarded from their answering service) as well as email with no response. It's extremely frustrating, and given the other positive reviews here about their service is extremely surprising. For a company that prides themselves on service, I'm surprised they use an answering service and do not publish a direct line to reach them. And even with the answering service, not returning multiple calls and emails is pretty bad service. I hope they can address this, I'm always rooting for small businesses over the big guys. read more

If I could give this company 10 stars I would on customer service alone. I am not exaggerating when I say our AT&T DSL service went from a download speed of about 3.5-4 mbps to .32 mbps. After fighting with AT&T for the last month about why this had happened, I decided that enough was enough. I am a small business owner and it is nearly impossible to function on the internet service we were receiving. AT&T could care less, and I spent at least 40 hours dealing with it. Robert came out to assess our location and was pretty sure he would be able to give us service. A couple days later he returned to perform a site survey and assess the speed we could get. I was nearly in tears when he showed me 11.86mbps. I know that he wanted to get home to see his family in So Cal, but he offered to spend a little more time to finish the installation knowing that we were having such a hard time with the service we were receiving. This man is my hero. Thank you so much for actually caring about your customers. It is the way we run our own business and is all to uncommon these days. I just ran another speed test (my new favorite thing) and I am receiving 12.35/5.43 mbps. Robert, I hope your wife isn't too hard on you when you get home. Thank you so much for spending the extra time with us to get us going. It is going to make a world of difference for our office and we truly appreciate it. We've had this service for over 3 years. Living in the hills and trying many providers, Rhinobee has been the best and most reliable by far. No issues with streaming multiple devises etc. Especially with multiple people Zooming etc. Great customer service. read more

The only reason I can't give Rhinobee 5 stars yet is that my service just started this morning and I need to wait a bit to see if these terrific ping times and down/upload speeds remain as consistent as they have all day and evening. Rhinobee's owner, salesperson, and installer are all friendly, responsive, and courteous. I am now paying a bit less per month for great performance and great service than I was paying for years with CDS Wireless, where the performance stunk almost all of the time, and I was so badly treated that I keep asking myself why I waiting this long to jump to Rhinobee. I had Sonic DSL's Bonded Fusion for the last three years. I'm right at the end of their 14,500' limit. Service got progressively worse over the last 6 months with speeds dropping to 4Mps and interruptions 3-4x per day. They couldn't explain other than suggesting that the phone lines were deteriorating. Found Rhinobee on the web and spoke with them. They sent out Zan for a sight survey to assess the possibility of service. He found that an antenna on the repeater on Sonoma Mt needed to be adjusted to optimize service. That took about a week due to it being on private property and the owner being away. A week ago, Zan was back and completed the install. He even dropped the ethernet cable from the antenna into the family room by the entertainment center which dramatically improved WiFi coverage for our place. I asked Zan when he was done if he needed me to sign anything and he said: "No, we're not Comcast. We'll email you an invoice." Now I'm getting 8Mps down and 2 Mps up non-stop. No interruptions and everybody's happy. read more

We were a Digital Path customer and just switched to Rhinobee. Installation was very smooth -- they ended up installing on a tree on our property. Speed is far superior to Digital Path on the upload and download. There has been no latency issues in the evening. And, the price is cheaper. The installer (Zan) was amazing to work with -- he even installed a new router in the house and now all points in the house are getting a strong signal. Especially important when you have a high schooler doing an online course and another working from home. Digital Path was the only reliable service when we moved into the area almost 4 years ago and they were great to work with (tech support and customer service) -- however, they kept promising to upgrade their St. Helena tower and it never happened. With the world moving to more wireless transmissions, you have to keep up with the demand. read more

I am a Comcast customer who has been dealing with one spot in particular on my property that could not get a dependable wifi signal. Comcast was of course of no help at all. An independent consultant that I have worked with for years had all kinds of expensive suggestions that I felt strongly were TOO costly, but I had no basis for those feelings other than what little I had learned from other technical people who had plenty of ideas but also weren't available to help me. I have neighbors and friends that have been very satisfied with Rhinobee so I decided to give them a try. Kevin was super kind, communicative, and has done literally thousands of wifi installs all over the country. He assured me that they could help, and he gave me a quote. The quote was much higher than I wanted to invest in this project, and I told him so. He had me take photos of the buildings involved and the equipment I have and quickly revised his quote. The number was much closer to what I had in mind, and he felt sure he could deliver at that price. We made an appointment and Zan came out to do the work. Very nice and knowledgeable, Zan took stock of the situation and then went to work. He did a super job---very thorough, neat and tidy, too---and in the allotted time quoted, he got me the steady, strong signal that had eluded me for years! After some initial adjustments of our radio transmitters, we are now seeing mostly stable and strong download and upload throughput. Our previous provider was Excede satellite. Because of the big delays and long ping rates, it wasn't possible to use VOIP or VoD. Now we use Ooma , Netflix, AppleTV and all other "normal" internet solutions successfully. This is a boon to subscribers in rural areas who really had no good choices before Rhinobee came on the scene. Good work, guys! read more

most inconsistent internet i have ever had, and most irrelevant. do not recommend unless you want wifi a homeless person would have.

We had been using DigitalPath for our Internet service. We could not get DSL, Uverse, etc., because we are out of town. Our only option was to have a radio transmitter/receiver. We were having problems with DigitalPath, and our download/upload speed was around 4.5/1.0 Mbps. We heard about Rhinobee and they have been great. Their contract states that you will have a minimum download/upload of 8/6. Digital Path just says how high it could go, but not how low in reality it will go. With Rhinobee we now get an download/upload of 20/19. Our Internet access goes amazing fast now. The communication with the company was excellent, and the installation was very professional. read more

We are located in a relatively remote area, and have been struggling recently with slow and inconsistent speeds from ATT DSL. On good days, 2.4. Most of the time, much less. Very difficult to run a business that depends on the Cloud with that type of inconsistency. , I called Kevin, who had helped us in the past with Wifi in our office. He assessed the situation, and assured me the Rhinobee could solve our problems. A few days later, Zan arrived and "hooked us up". Kevin and the support crew deliver the broadband to areas not accessible by cable, quickly and so easily!! We suffered so long with slow expensive internet via phone lines - and now we have fast broadband. It was set up in about an hour! This company has great connectivity, delivers it efficiently and fast, and backs it up with excellent tech support. Kevin is a problem solver with excellent IT know-how and can-do.
