Some of the qualities that stood out to me were their professionalism, communication, thoroughness and thoughtfulness. Sean was great at communicating to me what days they would be working and what projects they'd be working on those days. He gave me timelines for everything and always communicated if things were taking longer than expected. Sean's crew was absolutely fantastic at cleaning up at the end of the day. We were living in the house while they were working on it and I have kids so it was so nice to come home to a construction site that was clean and safe for my kids. The work that Cornell did was TOP notch. Everything in our remodel/addition is exactly how we wanted it. Sean contracted out some of the work to great local businesses who were also extremely professional and great at their jobs. Sean was also great at walking us through parts of the project and giving advice to us on parts of the project we hadn't considered. He had fantastic ideas and really helped us consider everything before making big decisions. I would highly recommend Cornell Construction to anyone looking for a contractor.

Hire Steve! This was…read morethe second time we used Steve Aasen and his crew. 1st time we hired him to enclose a room and build a closet, add lighting and double doors to an living room area that was not being used. That was 6 years ago. Project turned out great. Top Notch work and I have enjoyed my "executive office" ever since. This time, we called Steve for a larger project. After 10 years in our home, we wanted to knock down a wall and totally redo our kitchen. New everything! Steve has so much attention to detail and he is such a patient guy. We ran into a little snafu with a tile guy that I wanted to use (not Steve's fault). The tile guys were my pick. Well, the little snafu threw the job off by a few weeks... Steve managed through the whole process like a champ and never complained that we really threw off the timing of the project completion. When doing a remodel, things don't go perfect, (materials might be on back order, you might uncover a problem behind a wall, etc) and when they don't go just perfect, you want Steve on the job. His ability to help us see the light at the end of the tunnel and stay calm and cool was completely awesome. The attention to little details, and there are many, is something he tackles with ease. The end quality of his work is fantastic.....We will use him again for sure.

We purchased a vacation home about 3 years ago which needed work. Aasen Construction was…read morerecommended to us by a neighbor. The first project he did for us was our deck. When we bought the house the deck was in such poor shape we were afraid to use it. Steve totally reconstructed the deck and expanded it to what it is today, one of the best features of the house. We love entertaining on it and just enjoying it in the evening. The second project was a complete remodel of the downstairs. Our kitchen was tiny and very outdated to the point it was not very functional. There was no counter or cabinet space and the refrigerator took up half the kitchen. He took our pantry, which was pretty big, and made half of it an alcove for a new decent sized refrigerator and still had half of the pantry with a pocket door. He had new custom cabinets built and a custom buffet to match. The counters now have granite counter tops. He remodeled the bathroom and replaced our plain old doors with beautiful pine doors. We had him install new hickory wood floors and installed wood beams to match the ones already there to accommodate a new chandelier. One of the most impressive projects was installing a 12 ft. sliding glass door, where a single door and two windows were. It opens up onto our beautiful deck. Steve was extremely professional and we could not have had a better experience. He made sure that everything was done to perfection and most importantly to our expectations. We will be calling on Steve to do more projects in the future. We highly recommend Aasen Construction to anyone who has expectations as high as ours. Steve is one of the nicest guys we know and consider him now a friend. Thanks Steve

I feel that you can tell a lot about a company by talking to the person who answers the phone. Amber quickly inspired confidence in my choice of choosing this company to contact. She answered the phone immediately, was professional and listened to me carefully. She set up an appointment when Tony could visit. And she explained Tony would text me the day of the appointment with the window of time he would be arriving. Love organized and efficient. As per his word, Tony texted me and gave me a 4 to 5:00 p.m. window and showed up on time. For the next hour Tony evaluated the situation by getting a very close look at the problem area. He then went up into the attic for a closer inspection. When he came back he had pictures on his phone and explained what was going on. As it turns out there is an open area in the roof where rain water can get in. This likely created the spot that has now formed. He said it was fixable and would send me an estimate via email. If I agreed with the estimate, I would be added to his schedule. (Luckily this is a very slow leak and the ceiling spot is small.) Tony was professional, knowledgeable, and I was very pleased with choosing him out of many other people. The estimate was received the next morning! I absolutely felt it was fair and reasonable. He is a popular guy. I have a month's wait. As an aside: My neighbor was present during Tony's visit. He was so impressed with Tony that he asked for his business card. I love supporting a local, independent, and family-owned business. Thanks, Tony and Amber. See you soon.

Complete Construction & Realty. So glad we decided to go with this company for our master bath…read moreremodel. John, the owner, and his crew did a flawless job from start to finish and we couldn't be happier with the result. It's a beautiful bathroom and was done with care and respect for our living zone. John provided a bid with a complete breakdown of project tasks and included materials which left no questions on our end. He provided info on where to get our bath products, tile and countertops and said it would take about 2 weeks to complete. ("yeah...right" I thought to myself). It took 2 weeks and a day (including shower glass installation)! From day one, they would show up at 8 am sharp, wait for the entire crew to arrive before knocking, and work straight through till 5pm. They were clean, courteous and meticulous in their workmanship. John would let me know what would occur over the next couple of days which was great as I was able to have things ready for the crew to power through and get it done. John even came back out to the house to re-install a mirror (we opted for a larger mirror) after the project was completed. By far the most pleasant construction experience to date and I highly recommend their services.
