I appreciate Levi coming out promptly to give me a estimate to update my existing deck with additional support for a hot tub and a new fence line installation. I appreciate the updates to any and all changes that had to be addressed during the construction. The crew did a fantastic job, stayed on task and finished the job as scheduled. Highly recommend!! read more

Meh. If it's something that you ask him about an opinion and it's not about HIM being able to make money off of you, you'll get no-where with this person. He brushes you off right away. We are moving on. read more

Levi and his crew were outstanding! Snow weight from the last storm caused our deck to collapse and pull away from the house. It also damaged quite a bit of our fencing. Levi was one of the few to call me back, come out for the quote when he said he would and provided additional detail when the insurance adjusters asked. And the work they did was amazing. We have a beautiful new deck, the fence was repaired. I also hired Levi and crew to paint the whole exterior and will have him replace ducting under the house, soaked by the water run off and some other concrete work I need done. I can't say enough about Levi, his crew and the quality of their work. read more

Levi Ogden did a fantastic job for the two projects that we hired him for. In 2022 he did our retaining wall and Neighbor in conjunction. We are both very satisfied with his work. This year (2023) we hired him to build an upper and lower deck in our families vacation house in the Tahoe Keys. I couldn't be more pleased with the work ethic and the quality. I would highly recommend to hire Levi Ogden and his crew for any construction project you may need. Ed read more

Levi did an amazing job on my guest house. Was fast and turned out better than I was expecting.

Ogden Construction has been the best deck contractors I worked with. They built a 2300 square foot deck in the middle of a forest. This job required rowing in all the equipment and supplies. It was a huge project and undertaking. They were prompt, reliable and professional. Their quote was very reasonable and they completed the job even though it was snowing. read more

I can't say enough good about Levi and his merry band of workers with Ogden construction. He came out the day I called and sizes up two big jobs for us; replacing a rotting, failing painted wood front porch and a retaining wall in our back yard that needed to be built to replace long stretches of rotting, failing wood piers and planks. They got to work the very next day, even though the weather was horrendous. Tore out the old deck, added to the support joists, laid down beautiful Trex. Everything was tight, level and professionally done. Onto the retaining wall. We needed three sections added on of interlocking cement blocks, which he tied into the existing stretch of concrete blocks in a beautiful way. Tight, level and solid, with French drain and rock for drainage. Levi was a pleasure to deal with throughout, it was great work for the right price and I highly recommend you use him on your next big project. Think you can DIY it? After I looked at his work, I couldn't have done it and if I would have attempted it it would have taken months and probably looked crappy. It's always well worth employing a professional if you want the project to be done right. read more

Levi and his crew did a fantastic job replacing the deck on our forest service cabin as well as repainting the cabin itself. He was incredibly thorough, easy to work and communicate with, and all the work was performed to the highest standard. He took point on working with our existing architect, engineer, and the county; and was well versed in some of the unique aspects of working on Forest Service leased properties. He was clear and timely in identifying and estimating some additional work that was much needed. I would (will) gladly work with Levi and Ogden Construction again. read more

After the Caldor Fire burnt our home to the ground, we struggled with the idea of re-building. We were blessed to find Levi Ogden and his local crew to help us plan, build and see the project through to completion. As owner builders, we had enough knowledge of construction to be dangerous. Our project required a seasoned veteran of the home construction business. Levi was the glue that kept the home build on track. He helped manage our sub-contractors, he managed the County inspection timelines and provided great communication every step of the way. Hard to believe we've known Levi 18 months! He was with us every step of the way from home design ideas, to planning, to construction - and we are very thankful for it ALL! Nice to know there is a LOCAL builder that takes pride in their work and has the highest level of integrity one could ask for. Oh yeah, and they did our deck too :) read more

Levi Ogden and his team offer exceptional workmanship, at very fair rates. He is extremely ethical, professional and talented, and we are very comfortable having him take on major projects within our home. Most recently, he installed a high-end double wall oven in our Granite Bay kitchen. This is a gorgeous room, with custom cherry cabinets, granite kitchen tops and top notch appliances. The prior oven was a bit smaller, so he had to enlarge and deepen the space .. and he did so in a manner that really looks perfect. Looking at the final result, you would never know that it required significant modification. Similarly, I had him remove a very large, old built-in entertainment cabinet in our family room. This work required installation of new baseboards (matching the rest of the room), removing an old built-in platform, smoothing and patching the walls, and trimming back the stonework in an adjacent fireplace. A less competent contractor would have left us with a result that would have made the modifications obvious to a casual observer. This is where I think Levi's work really shines. The room simply looks like it has "always been" the way we wanted it updated. I know that Ogden construction is capable of taking on much larger projects, including decks and houses. Based on my experience, I would urge you to consider working with them, be it on a smaller modification, or a larger construction effort. You will be as pleased as I am. read more

Levi Ogden was a fantastic find on Yelp. We needed an old deck replaced after the summer ended and he came out the next day for a quote. On time, polite and communicative with every call and message - it was a pleasure working with him. I've managed other construction jobs, and he was among the easiest to work with. He is a pro and was on time with the completion. The Redwood deck he did was fantastic. read more

Levi is one of the best contractors that I have worked with. His work is flawless as is his work ethic, he is easy to get ahold of and always responds in a timely manner. He gets things done when he says he's going to get them done. His prices are reasonable, actually his prices are better than reasonable, considering the quality of his work and his attention to detail. We have used him for two pretty big projects in the past year and he is now our go-to contractor for all things outdoor. Do yourself a favor and call him! read more

I have a cabin in Twin Bridges that needed a deck rebuild. After long search for a nearby reputable general contractor, I found Ogden Construction. They have a really good crew, friendly and hard working. Levi is great with communication, timely plan and execute the project. I'm very pleased with their quality work and definitely will use them again on future improvement projects. Be sure to ask for detailed itemized quotation, payment & warranty terms including invoice/receipt of payment Updated Oct '20: Levi just finished another project for our cabin - leveling up driveway. It was very sloped and difficult to access in winter, so he raised/extended the retaining wall, filled/compacted with aggregate based & top with road grinds. Job well done!!! read more

Levi and his team did an amazing job painting our house and staining our fence in South Lake Tahoe. Levi is super transparent with pricing and estimates. I did plenty of research looking for a company to perform some repairs to our pool house. Once Levi came out for an estimate, we trusted him so much that we had him replace deck railings in front of the main residence as well as around our rear multi-level deck. He and his team are professional, courteous, clean, and punctual. Most importantly, Levi is honest. Great work, good prices, no surprises and a feeling of comfort with his crew. We've already found a few more projects for him around here! You can't go wrong with Ogden Construction. They're the best. read more

Mr. Ogden scheduled two appointments to come and give me a bid on a construction job. He called right before the time of the first appointment and told me he couldn't come because he was finishing a job and then going on vacation. He scheduled a second appointment and didn't show up. When I called him 30 minutes after the appointment was to occur, he said he was gone to another state and said he didn't have my phone number and so couldn't call me. read more

My husband and I hired Ogden Construction to install fencing and gates on our property. Levi was very quick to respond to our initial inquiries. Once the project was started, his crew arrived everyday on time, were very friendly and did a really good job on the fence and gates. We reached out to Levi when we were ready for our next project which was a 2nd story deck and stairs. Again, the crew that did the work was very good and friendly/professional. We had several modifications that had to be made during the course of the project, and the crew was able to accommodate the requested changes. We are very happy with quality of the work done on both projects. read more
