Just started coming here after 2 of my go-to wax ladies at European Wax Center left the company, with no sense of where they went off to (hope they're okay given everything going on). Anyway, Victoria rocks and I enjoy seeing her. The only thing I don't love is the "openness" of each room. Because the rooms are not fully walled off, you can totally hear the conversations of everyone adjacent to you AND in the reception area. This was my first sugaring experience and Victoria did my service. She was very quick which was good because it was incredibly painful, however she did not make me feel welcomed and she was very cold and unfriendly. I was already uncomfortable from the pain and she did not do anything to make me feel better. I still gave a generous tip and I wish I hadn't because she missed so many hairs and didn't tell me anything about aftercare. ReWAXation is located right off S Lamar in a small clustering of other independently owned shops. Parking is located behind the building, so if you turn into the lot like I did make sure to walk around the building to find the main entrance. Sally was ready for me as soon I walked in, and asked if I wanted anything to drink or needed to use the restroom. This was my first time getting any type of waxing or sugaring done to my bikini area (opted for a Brazilian sugaring), and I'm so glad that Sally made the experience as quick and effortless for me as possible. She was so efficient and was also very easy to talk to! It definitely did not hurt nearly as bad as I had anticipated, and the results are definitely worth the discomfort. Went in for my first ever sugaring appointment (full Brazilian) and had a great experience. Alaina made me feel super comfortable and was so friendly throughout my entire appointment. The salon is doing a great job with being safe during Covid from waiting in your car to the plastic partitions they have up. The entire process was super quick and far less painful than I expected and I think that was in part to the great convo! I have been here twice now and it is the BEST waxing spa I have ever been to. I had been sugaring for a year before I moved to Houston and could not-for the life of me-find a decent sugar spot in Houston. I looked up places in Austin since I visit there often and found reWAXation. The prices are cheaper than I have ever paid ($48-58 for brazilian) and I have never had a better experience. I went with the usual sugaring for my first appointment. The waxer asked if she finish a couple trouble spots with the hard wax. I was nervous about this because of a previous experience, but I could not believe how much easier it was than sugaring! I went back for my second appointment a month later and chose to do only hard wax. I wish I could remember the names of the two waxers because they were both fantastic, but I'm sure everyone here is! COVID review! Great, safe experience. I booked online and filled out all the waivers online. Once I got there, I parked and texted the number on the sign. They texted back to offer me a drink and asked if I needed to use the restroom and I declined. After a couple minutes waiting they texted me that they were ready for me and to make sure I had my mask on. They opened the door for me and I sanitized my hands. Sally was my esthetician and she did a great job. Everything seemed clean, the was a plastic tarp that seperated us, and everyone was masked. There were no other customers in the lobby when I went in, there is a plastic curtain separating you from the waxer, masks, all the sanitizer, ect. I felt very safe. This is the hands down the cleanest, most painless waxing I've ever had! I could barely tell when the wax touched my brows because it was a low melting point wax, and tiny strips were used to sculpt my uneven brows. The owner spent a lot of time and care with me, and I felt like I was at a spa (instead of in my sweaty running clothes). I've been going to Rewaxation since 2015 in San Francisco and was so happy to see that they also have a spot in Austin when I moved here. I've gone to the Austin Rewaxation 3-4 times and it's been great! Everyone is super friendly. They also do a great job to keep everything sanitized mostly with COVID times by requiring you to hand sanitize when you come in, with the plastic drape between you and your waxer, and everyone is wearing masks. Beyond sanitation, I've never had a bad appointment and have always been very happy with their services. I am sooo excited that reWAXation is opening a location in Austin! They've been my go-to spa for all my waxing needs while I was living in SF. They completely changed the way I feel about waxing. They make you feel comfortable and you always feel like you're in great hands. The spa is very clean, and they take loads of care with their hygiene (no double dipping!). It's so important to me because I've seen most other spas do that. They have several different wax types which I've experimented with over the years. First time waxer here ‍ Sally was amazing, saw her based on a friends recommendation. I got my upper legs, between the cheeks and a betweenie with sugar waxing.
