Bahn mi's were pretty good. Old school video games as decor will give some people nostalgia.

I seriously love everything about this place! Food is authentic and tasty, the Nintendo Mario decor brings back childhood memories and Devin is so attentive, providing the best customer service ever -- Highly recommend Korean Chicken Wings, Combination Sandwich and the chicken pho. read more

I kid you not, I've eaten here at least 4 times this month alone. They Literally have the BEST pork vermicelli EVER!! The pork is so fresh and so are the veggies!! And such Great customer service!! This place will always be my Go-TO pho place. read more

Vietnamese restaurants come in many different shapes, sizes, and varieties. But none are quite like Retro. The food is very clean and has the same flavors as I remember my Vietnamese friends' moms and grandmas cooking had growing up. Tony, Devin, and every employee here will always greet you with a smile and do everything they possibly can to make sure you feel like a family member sitting at their tables. You even get a chance to see aunts and uncles in the kitchen cooking side by side with Tony as they try to make sure what you get is made with the same love they had growing up. It is far too common now a days to go to Vietnamese restaurants that are fast and furious with their service and where the food is mainly just salt and oil, which usually tastes good, but doesn't come with the love that is so emblematic of good Vietnamese food and Retro. After a few years of coming here and trying almost the entire menu. Nothing disappoints. Do yourself a favor and check it out. read more

Good food! My new little place to grab Vietnamese food. love the teriyaki chicken wings.

Not kidding, the BEST egg rolls i've ever had. We ordered the pork banh mi, egg roll vermicelli bowl, and steak pho. Such an amazing meal!! definitely hit the spot for lunch on a cold day. 10/10 recommend read more

Retro Yum! Took the fam so we had multiple dishes....we really enjoyed every dish but the Korean fried chicken was amazing! A dish after my heart. We do not live close but we will be back. The service was great and food came out fast. I highly recommend. read more

Summary- Hoping I hit them on an off day, but not great. Food- 1 Stars Banh Mi was awful. Bread was the wrong kind of stale. Veggies weren't crisp or well pickled. It was a bad all around sandwich experience. Pho noodles we got with plan broth were fine. Drinks- 4 Stars Good Vietnamese iced tea. Atmosphere- 4 Stars Cute inside with retro stuff to hit you right in the feels. read more

We ordered two Thai teas, the egg rolls, chicken pho, steak and meatball pho and Korean chicken wings. Everything tastes AMAZING

At first I really loved this place but they have recently been very rude and food is not great.

Fast. Friendly. Courteous. Hyper polite. Good food. These folks know how it's done. Really appreciate the decor, especially the throwback OG action figures and toys- GI JOE, TRANSFORMERS, THUNDERCATS and even a hidden gem BRAVESTARR. Thanks to Retro Cafe for being prompt in preparing our lunch- we had a 250 trip home and we cannot get any Vietnamese food where we live- NE TX. We needed to hit the road, and they went right to work knocking it out as fast as possible. Please see these nice folks, you will not be disappointed!! read more

Finally found time to hit up this new family owned Vietnamese cafe, super clean and I love the retro theme throughout the place! There's good and positive energy, comfortable seating, and really amazing food. The place is really clean! I had the grilled pork and rice, and the retro rolls, which are spring rolls and egg rolls combined! They're so good, I recommend it with the peanut sauce or the sweet chili sauce. My pork and rice was great, I only wish the serving size was a bit bigger, but that's a small thing and not even a big deal. Jasmine tea just completes this meal, I love tea and I'm definitely planning on coming here again to try their smoothies or juices! read more

Google says location is open until 8 pm but when you get there you can only dine in up until 7:30. Have gone twice now before 7:30 and they wait for the time to turn to turn paying customers aways. Main person at restaurant is rude over the phone and tries to intimidate you. Restaurant closes at 8 for to go orders but they still won't let you dine in. read more

The food was fresh and delicious! I had the spring rolls and traditional BAHN Mi (chef's kiss). Superb!

I ordered the special combination sandwich, spring rolls, and beef pho. The special combination was good, they gave you plenty of veggies, I felt like the bread was very difficult to eat, it was hard and chewy. The spring rolls I'd get again. The standard spring rolls but the sauce was more liquid, had peanuts, spice and more flavor. The beef pho was loaded with fish sauce. Would never order this again. Service was good, place was clean, prices were very high for Vietnamese food, food was aight read more

It's so hard to find good food in cypress, most people will say no it's not but they probably haven't had actual good food. I'm huge on Vietnamese food, I drive all the way out to Bellaire just to get the good. This place thoroughly impressed me, from the staff to the food. Their recommendations were on point and all the food we ordered was a hit! The sandwiches were amaaaaazing. I'll definitely be coming back here a lot! And I have to say the staff was so friendly and helpful. I'm going to be putting this down as place to tell friends about. If you're in the cypress area don't pass this place up! read more

Could not wait to try a new Vietnamese restaurant in Cypress area. The restaurant is cozy and clean. The staff was trying very hard to make sure everything was made correctly and we were pleased with our visit. For that I am giving them some of the stars. We ordered grilled spring rolls 2 for $3.99 & 1 order of egg rolls 2 for $3.15. Both the spring rolls and egg rolls were good. Now on to the entrees. We ordered grilled vermicelli ($8.29)& grilled pork w/rice($8.49). When the young man brought out my husband's vermicelli & my first thought was "where is the rest of it". The bowl was only a 1/4 if the way full. It is hard to tell in the photo but, their was not a lot in the bowl. Not like Les Givral on Milam St. their bowl is overflowing. I guess I am spoiled by them. Unfortunately, I did not eat my grilled pork with rice. I tried the rice and it had a strange taste to it. It tasted like metal. Kind of like a new pan. And the meat had the same taste. So for me the only thing I am giving the stars for is the service, egg & spring rolls. read more

I am from Boca Raton Florida and love Vietnamese cuisin. we came to Tomball Texas for a baseball tournament and Retro Café happen to be right in front of our hotel. I was very excited to come try the food and as soon as I walked through the door, I knew I was in the right place. Devin greeted us with the kind of welcome you tend to experience when you have not seen close family members for a long time. He is awesome! Great person to have out front for sure. The Pho is amazing! I will certainly be back before we head back to Florida to try other menue items. ***** Stars all the way! Great Job Retro!! read more

The menu it is keto friendly! This is a great place to get juicy fatty beef on a salad bed with cucumbers and tomatoes of course it is called beef and rice. For the gluten free group they have rice noodles. And for those who eat anything this is excellent place to have Vermicelli Bowls. Very clean not only in the dining area but also the kitchen which you can see The young man, Devin, was extremely concerned that we got what we needed. And we did. It is a family run business and you can tell by the service and quality food. We will go back and suggest you try it. read more

Nice place for a quick lunch or sit down dinner. Dining area is a bit small with maybe about 10 tables but the concept is very easy. Order at the counter and find a place to sit. We had the Korean wings which was flavored well and cook nicely. Also had the pho and the broth was light and rich.. not too thick or oily. The service was good and accommodating. Over all very good dining experience. read more

Retro Cafe makes the BEST wings. It comes with pickled radish and an amazing green sauce. I've ordered trays of this stuff on 3 occasions and the tray always ends up empty. It's a real party pleaser! Tonee, the manager, has great customer service and makes sure you get your order correct and on time. He wasn't the one who took my phone order, but made sure he contacted me to follow up to make sure it was correct. I am so glad this place is right around the corner and so close to me. read more
