My first time visiting City Brew Coffee: Ordered an iced vanilla latte with cold foam and drank about half of it before noticing a red hair stuck to the inside of the cup....nasty. I'd call and complain, but I don't live in the area and don't have the time or energy for that. This was incredibly disturbing to see in my cup after I already drank half of my drink. If the owner sees this, I'd love acknowledgment of some sort. Inspecting cups for hair seems like the bare minimum, and I hope this reminds the employees to be more careful. Gross. Check your drinks here before you sip. You've been warned. 1 star for lack of cleanliness. read more

The strong scent of coffee wafting thru our window smells DELICIOUS! Drive thru only, tho little coffee hut has been here for quite some time and we're just now getting a chance to try them out. Tall decaf latte with heavy cream, no foam. First few sips- this is very robust, strong coffee taste, and HOT. For an inconspicuous small drive thru, they are fast, flavorful and worth a repeat! read more

It was a cloudy cold day and I was out of creamer. MrM suggested City Brew Coffee, where he goes when heading out for work. Rachel was a lil ray of sunshine on that yucky day. Super sweet and patient as I was not awake when I went. Got MrM a Mt Morning coffee, his favorite, got the boy a hot chocolate and a white chocolate mocha for myself. $14. Not bad considering the competition up the street. I came back to get a pic of Rachel but she was gone for the day. Can't say enough about great customer service! read more

This is hands down, the best coffee in town. No burnt beans like with the big popular coffee chain. The City Brew baristas are super friendly and happy people. I have to wake up stupid early for class and at 4am, I am barely functional enough to make my own coffee at home. Before 6am, the only coffee shops you're going to find open are Dunkin Donuts and maybe if you're lucky, a Starbucks, neither of which I consider to be decent coffee. What a gem this place is! The barista was super friendly, despite it being 5am, and the espresso was great! Also got a breakfast taco with the green sauce and I was not disappointed. Any self-proclaimed coffee snob looking for great coffee on the go (especially super early in the morning) this is your place. read more

I love this place. It's a hidden gem, that I passed by everyday for 3 yrs until I just decided to give it a shot and it was the best decision I've made. I haven't been to a Starbucks in years. The lines always move fast, without sacrificing customer service (rare). Also, the breakfast tacos are the bomb, especially with the green sauce. Customer service is also top notch here. Great service and coffee. Got a mocha blueberry latte with almond milk, two shots and it was a perfect pick me up to my morning, not too sweet and coffee tasted strong and good. Barista was very friendly and informative on their options. They had some banana nut bread that I also got a slice of and it was moist and yummy, the barista immediately offered to warm it up since it was kept cold in the fridge. Would definitely come back by. Had our dog in the car with us and was offered multiple treats and to see my latte topped with a puppy paw cover for no spillage was adorable. I bought a mocha raspberry hot latte with 2 extra shots of espresso (4 total) to mimic my usual order at Starbucks, and this one tastes twice as good. Full to the brim and excellently flavored. Even better: usually is over ten dollars there and it was $7.04 at this quick place. No crazy line, super fast and friendly service. When I first pulled up to the drive-through window I was struck by the simple menu and thought that everything looked to be pretty basic, but the lady told me that she literally has everything so just to tell her whatever I wanted and she would make it. She did not disappoint and the whole stop took maybe 3 minutes. Was I late to work? Yes. I'm not great at time management and wanted to try this place out? Was it worth it? Absolutely 100% worth it. So I usually discount drive-thru coffee places. Almost invariably inferior to a real coffee shop. This one is an exception. Maybe I don't expect much in Cypress, but the coffee drinks were made correctly and were quality. Had an Americano and an Espresso with cream. At last coffee within 5 min. I'm talking ANY coffee folks, let alone a decent cup of joe. read more

Was really excited about the mango smoothie... it's not fresh mango cut up. It is concentrate out of a can :( disappointing. It was so sweet that even my two year old wouldn't drink it. I don't think I could say enough nice things about their customer service!! Every single employee is helpful, knowledgeable, and very patient. I've even been asked after being handed my coffee if I wanted to taste it before paying and make sure the milk/coffee ratio was right for my liking! As for the coffee, it is amazing. Not just blah okay I could brew it myself coffee, coffee with flavor! The espresso has the same great bold flavor as well. They have so many different flavor syrups, both regular and sugar free. They also carry several types of non dairy milk which is a huge bonus! The lines always move quickly and I've never gotten a drink that wasn't correct handed to me. I recommend this place to everyone who drives by! read more

We are a specialty drive thru coffee kiosk, with two drive up windows for fast service. We specialize in specialty coffee drinks made the "old School " way. Our espresso shots are pulled from a semi automatic La Marzocco machine. Just like the big boys used before super duper automatic push button machines replaced them. We take pride in the slower more flavorful extracted shots we serve. Making your drinks taste more like coffee and that much better. We serve breakfast treats and tacos that are easy to eat on the go. We also make frappes. smoothies, hot tea, cold tea and great chai. Meet the Business Owner: Eric R.

Moved to Texas in early 80's from Oregon where I got the coffee bug. Wanted to start my first coffee shop on Memorial Drive near where I was working in 1985. That never happened. Was very hard to sell to investors that people would pay a dollar for a cup of coffee. It took until 2005 to fill my dream. Saw an advertisement in Fresh Cup magazine for a Turn-Key Coffee Kiosk package from a company in Montana. Becky Reno had started her company in 1998 and was trying to expand her Kiosk concept across the country. We took a look at the product and program and got on board. City Brew Houston was the company’s fourth Kiosk to be put on the ground in 2006. I went on to work for City Brew corporate and assisted in putting Kiosks across the country, Virginia, Tennessee, Florida, Michigan, Indiana, Texas, and Utah. We have been in business for over twenty years at the same location, our customers are very loyal, we have employed locally almost 200 people, mostly first time jobs. Thanks Cypress

My other son chose a chocolatey blended drink with whipped cream and drizzle, and let's just say he finished it without coming up for air -- so that tells you everything you need to know. The boba was soft and fresh (no hard pearls over here!), and I really appreciate that you can customize the sweetness level.
