Love this place! Went on a recommendation and was not disappointed! With plenty of parking, and patio seating outside there's lots of choice where to sit down and enjoy your delightful coffee concoction. Beautifully decorated with that Hawaiian touch, the reception by the Baristas was just as bright and happy and the vibe the place gave. Being a first-timer they allowed me to taste test a couple of blends I was interested in, my tastebuds were very happy! I decided on their large Wild Pistachio Kick, so good!!!!! It was made perfectly. Creamy and refreshing with that drizzle of white chocolate throughout. Yum!! I had high hopes for this place as many said that it was great coffee. I went with the grand name latte and it was more sweet than coffee. I should have added a shot, as it just tasted like steamed oat milk with chocolate. I then went with a Kona coffee, straight, and that was better, but it took me $17 to find caffeine for my needs. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing? The place was good, however, for studying or doing a Zoom meeting. Clean cafe, clean bathrooms, plenty of space. Everyone was very friendly, and they even brought my coffee to me! So I can't knock them too hard, but as for coffee, I'd probably make sure you add espresso shots or find somewhere else. read more

Five stars all the way! I can't recommend this coffee shop enough. This shop was able to capture the coastal island vibes the moment you walk in the door - from the decorative interior, luscious plants, all the way to the tropical ingredients. You can read up on their legacy, how they got their name and where they all started by browsing through the art within. Their service was top tier. Manager Mike was very informative, friendly and excited about his work. His positive attitude definitely rubbed off on everyone around. The whole shop was nothing but smiles and good conversation. The coffee was absolutely fantastic. We got to sample their freeze blend, which was delicious. They make their ice cubes out of coffee! So, no more watered down coffee in this blistering Texas heat. I ordered the Monkey Mocha. It's a latte with banana and dark chocolate flavors. The flavor is good, but nothing particularly great. I'd be willing to return, but won't go out of my way. The person I met ordered tgeir donuts, which comes as 2 per order. It's too covered with sugar for me. I'd say it's a mix between a cruller and cake donut. The staff are professional, and the environment is as expected of a chain coffee shop. Otherwise, nothing stands out about this cafe. read more

Horrible service! We never received our breakfast items after waiting 20 minutes but did get our coffee. After asking where our pastry's were they said we never paid. I even asked the cashier about the tap payment not working and she said it went through. Complete miscommunication with employees. read more

I was in need of an afternoon pick me up after the Galentine's Yelp Elite Event. North Houston CM Brittany suggested Bad Ass Coffee since it was near by. I wasn't familiar with this establishment prior to visiting. At present, there are only two in TX (the other one is in McKinney). This is a nice coffee shop in a small shopping strip. The store is pretty spacious and it was very clean. On the day that I stopped in, they were selling merch for 25% off. They also have a drive thru. The staff was very friendly and provided suggestions of drinks that I may like based on my flavor preferences. I decided to order the Three Waves Latte with Oat Milk. It has coconut, caramel, and macadamia nut. I prefer iced coffee in the afternoon, but it was cold that day so I went with a hot coffee. It was so good! Got a to-go order from here recently in an effort to try something different. Lots of different options here that hover near Hawaiian type flavoring, but plenty of others as well. Order was ready when the app said it would be and placed in a to-go carrier as we had 4 drinks. Drink was fine for me. Really nothing that stood out. Loving the place for sake of the name alone (too bad the coffee couldn't hold up to the hype, see below). Pretty busy on a random Saturday afternoon, though, as we're dropping in after a day spent with the Miata Club. Medium decaf flat white made with heavy cream (ordered as a latte with no foam, and I can overhear the baristas now trying to figure out what the ratios are supposed to be). The verdict: they didn't get the ratios right. This one is way too heavy on the cream, or perhaps the coffee itself is just too delicate in flavor. I _will_ give them kudos for being able to get it with no foam, though. So, there's some skill here at least. The live-edge hardwood tables and teal colored walls certainly give off the tropical vibe but the metal chairs aren't making it very inviting to stay for long. And I wish there was stronger Hawaiian reggae playing, but alas, it's just sounds like Bruno Mars on vacation. Cool concept; underwhelming execution. PS: with the School of Rock sharing a wall with the shop, you're not going to get the cozy hang-out-and-read vibes from this place; all I hear right now is a sad trombone (Womp womp) and muffled AC/DC. read more

I came in on a Wednesday at 2:30 and it was busy but not noisy. The shop is very clean, I love the Hawaiian theme dark colors and turquoise. Had to try out the new coffee spot in Cypress. Very spacious in the inside and a good place to study or just have a coffee date. They serve not only variety of coffee but also snacks/food. Upon arrival I was greeted by most the workers with a "Aloha" which was a nice touch. The person who took my order was very helpful and answered all my questions. I appreciate the fact that I can adjust my sweetness level on the drinks or even the sugar free options. I did try the kono brew and I get that its special type of brew but man almost 6 dollars for a small is kind of pricey. As I was waiting I notice the area where they keep napkins, sugar packets and other essentials has syrup bottles there. I haven't seen ice cube coffees else where but it was great to have. Decided to give it a try, drive thru. Got the iced matcha tea latte with two breakfast sandwiches (Aloha Sandwich and The Bad Ass One). The matcha tea latte was flat, nothing to rave about. Wasn't thick, luscious, or very complex. The sandwiches were just bad and cold. I don't think warming them up would have made them any better. Pictures are included. Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii absolutely lives up to its name. From the moment I walked in, the customer service was amazing--the staff were friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. Their Kona coffee tasted incredibly smooth and rich, and you can tell it's high-quality. One of the coolest things there was the Koffee Kooler, which looks like a margarita machine but serves perfectly chilled coffee drinks--such a fun and unique touch. Strong coffee with the flavor of paradise. Always love the staff they're friendly and chill really embracing the Aloha Vibes! I usually order the "Three Waves" it's a Macadamia, Caramel & Coconut drink. So good I love my coffees a little less sweet with more nutty undertones. My husband gets the "Beach Bliss" which is essentially a REALLY STRONG white chocolate mocha. The Masalda donuts are heated to order and covered in cinnamon and sugar. So yum. Why 5 stars? Because Hawaiian coffee is an auto 5 from me. --- --- --- I love Hawaii and I love coffee. Coincidentally, I REALLY love coffee from Hawaii. Normally I drink my coffee black, but there's something about how they do it in Hawaii where they just lightly flavor it with macadamia, coconut, hazelnut, etc. So the wife ran inside and my request was to order me a nitro with one of those flavors added in. And as fate would have it, they did so perfectly. It was very subtly added, but you barely actually noticed it. As much as I love super sweet things, they always make me feel gross afterward. There was no post game grossness on this day. Only happiness and a much needed pep in my step after stuffing my face at lunch. We also bought several bags of beans which all had flavor profile combinations with things mentioned above. I normally would wait to write this review until after I try some of those beans, but I already know what's going to happen: I'm going to love them. read more

Stopped by because I heard a lot of great things about Bad Ass Coffee on Facebook. I got 2 coffees to try out "Bad Ass Mocha" which has dark & white chocolate. It was really good, I replaced the whole milk with coconut milk. I also orders the "Three Waves Hot Latte" that has coconut, caramel & macadamia nut. That was my absolute favorite! The coconut flavor is very strong and delicious. I ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese, it came out piping hot and smelled amazing! It was really good. I stopped by the drive thru which I'm a little sad about, I missed out on seeing the interior of the shop. The servers were very nice and polite. read more

For a different take on coffee drinks, Bad Ass Coffee is a great place to check out. The Kona coffee by itself has good flavor, not as acidic as other coffees which I guess is expected. The flavored drinks have a good coconut, caramel taste to them. Close your eyes, and you may think you are in Hawaii. The place is clean, and inviting, so if you need a place to study or get some extra work done, there are a number of tables you can sit at while enjoying your drink. I also recommend the Turkey, Bacon & Cheddar Sandwich for lunch. If you are looking to try something other than Starbucks, give this place a try. read more
