honestly, I think this might be OUR coffee shop! this place is full of regulars, and it has a different vibe than other coffee shops in the area. like it feels like an Austin coffee shop. my first experience wasn't my favorite, I got some house made syrup that was banana hazelnut, but it taste very cardamommy. but I like the vibe and feel. so I came back and just ordered something really basic. which is what I normally order hehe. like latte or cappuccino, they do have a pastry case, but it looks like they sell out quickly depending on when you come. plenty of parking in the front and in the back, there's some greenery in the back where there is outdoor seating. they don't always update their IG page with hours, so you may have to just drive by and check. 10/10 would come back read more

I happened to be on this side of town and needing a place to work for a few hours. Found this place through google review and decided to give it a try. It's a small cozy place and very cute. I came during an unusually busy Thursday morning. The only cashier was taking orders and making the drinks so it was a little bit of a wait. I wasn't in a hurry so it was no big deal. Ordered a seasonal hazelnut mocha with extra shot, it was .. sweet. No complaints- I should have known but wanted to point it out anyways. I've been here several times, I really enjoy the ambience. Very minimalistic and filled with beautiful plants. There is no loud music like Starbucks just some light background music which helps for those who need to study or relax. The outdoor seating area is really cool in my opinion, it's very open and again filled with a bunch of plants. Depending on what time you go, there can be minimal seating. The service is quick, and most of the staff members are nice. The croissants are fluffy and buttery, the Matcha lattes are yummy. The strawberry Matcha was latte delicious but the lavender latte was lacking matcha and just tastes like milk with lavender. The coffee is always small batch, roasted on site and each bag tells you about the farm where it came from. As humans isn't that what we want? That sense of connection to the source of what we interact with? They have the flakiest pastries that are not sweet but light and airy. This was a super cute cafe. I came here with my aunt for some coffee and conversation. I went with a dirty chai with oat milk and she had a mocha. You order at the counter and then they bring it out to you when it's ready. Both were very good and had "latte art" on top. Inside is cozy with a decent amount of tables. I stopped by Cafe Zun Zun with a group of friends to grab some study fuel. We were in Cypress for the morning and the cafe had caught our eye as we were driving by. We were surprised by how cute the interior was and how delicious our drinks were. The baristas were friendly and kindly answered all our questions about the menu. After stealing some sips from my friend's delicious Zunzuncitos (cold brew, oat milk, and caramel syrup on ice), I got an iced matcha latte that was perfectly balanced. They used a ceremonial blend with no other added sweeteners - and it was delicious. I'm pretty picky about my matcha and would consider this cup from Cafe Zun Zun to be one of the best I've had in the Houston area! I don't frequent Cypress often but I'll definitely stop here the next time I do. read more

This is a great asset to Cypress. It is right near my house. When I go to have coffee, I also want to eat. I went a few years ago and they didn't serve food yet. They do now. They only have one savory item (lots of sweets), but it is super delicious (a huge, flaky ham and cheese croissant). I had a zunzuncito (I think that's how you spell it) and it was SOOO good. It comes in two sizes. I could eat here daily, but it's a luxury priced place (on my budget) so I will be going at least twice a month. I love how they have listened to their customers and increased their menu, sizes and food selections. I'd love some sort of cheat sheet or detailed menu to figure out what to order. A lot of us aren't in the know on all of the fancy coffee terms and what they mean. :) read more

What a breath of fresh air in the Houston coffee scene, and more specifically in Cypress. This is a hidden gem third wave coffee shop that has an enticing menu, quality gesha coffee, great environment and vibe, outdoor seating, and everything is fresh roasted on site in their back room. My only complaint- they serve hot coffee in drinking glasses when you order "for here." You can't drink a hot beverage in a drinking glass with no handle. It's beyond annoying. This is a nice, clean and bright space to get coffee in the middle of cypress. Inside, there are 9 tables and 4 bar stools, while outside they have a large rear patio. If you are a plant lover or like modern environments, this is your place. I tried the mocha latte and a chocolate croissant. The chocolate croissant was soft and flaky and delicious. Firstly, I love, and I mean love, when a local coffee shop parks themselves in neighboring view of a Starbucks. This spot is no exception, if you need to study/wfh this side of Cypress, and are reading this from the Starbucks across the street, pack your thing and cross the street to Cafe ZunZun. Plants, peace, and great drinks, this spot boasts 3 of my personal favorite things (not to mention ample natural lighting...but that doesn't start with a p). The ZunZuncito is certainly made for the millennial. Being one I appreciate the oat milk foam! The chocolate croissant is as good as any other. They do offer pour overs, as well as French press and aeropress on brewed coffees for coffee enthusiasts, alongside creative lighter options (like seasonal pumpkin spice or mint matcha) and an extensive tea menu for everyone else! The first coffee shop that popped up when I search coffee/tea for Cypress. I've been here a few times for their lattes. The second time I was here, I decided on the CBD shot to be included which made me feel..... something. I can't put my finger on it. It was a combination of feeling like I was floating somewhere everytime I stood on my feet. Kinda cool right? Now for the coffee place itself, there's seating inside and outside. Also they have coffee beans and tea products available. Classic coffee drinks (latte, cappuccino, americano) are made here of course. Interior is very plant friendly based on the number of plants and sunlight here. Obviously that's a theme for this place. Seating is comfortable although I wish they had more power outlets for plug-in devices. But sometimes that's not the case. Staff is nice and friendly. May venture here again to explore more CBD stuff. read more

Came here on the way to a friend's house last weekend and decided to stop in as I love trying local coffee places. The place was pretty busy given that it was a rainy, gross day - all indoor tables were filled a few minutes after I got there around 9am. They have your standard coffee shop menu with several ways to get your caffeine fix. I opted for the iced Zun Zuncito - a lovely, frothy iced latte drink. I appreciate they serve their "here" drinks in reusable cups - 1, for the picture aesthetics, and 2, for the environment. This is a great local spot to come hang out with friends, read, work, and enjoy some great coffee. Parking: small lot in front and more overflow spots in back, follow the gravel driveway that spurs off the main parking area (don't park and block this gravel drive, it sort of looks like it could be a spot). read more

Ehhhh! very basic cafe! i feel Iike they strive for a more aesthetic image then they do to actually provide tasteful coffees-teas. I came here once about a year ago and told myself i would never go back just due to the blandness of the beverages and the place itself but i decided the other day i should give them one more chance, i came in and ordered a rose matcha and wanted a snack with it but they literally had only a raisin bread left.. ( this was a issue the first time i came, they never have any snacks ) anyways my matcha was very disappointing, again just bland no flavoring at all even ordering it with "rose" , if anything it made me feel nauseous, so I ordered myself a tea, the same thing, disappointing! Not to mention i asked for some water and saw the young lady behind the counter get water from what looked like a sink, I thought maybe it was purified of some sort but when I tasted the water it literally tasted like rusted pipe water, i can't explain but it definitely had a hazardous flavor to it so I didn't even drink the water. I tried reading my book there but one of the baristas behind the counter was pretty loud with her conversations she was having with her co workers so i ended up just packing up and leaving. I would say if you like a variety of tasteful beverages with flavor and food try another cafe, if you're okay with bland flavors and just the look of aesthetics, this place is for you! read more

Man, I wish there was a Cafe ZunZun in the city, because I absolutely loved this place. Cafe ZunZun is good vibes from the moment you enter to the moment you leave! The music was great (Indie/psychedelic pop), the barista was friendly, and the plants make the place so bright and inviting. This shop is great for bringing your laptop to get some work done, but also grabbing a coffee (GET THE ZUNZUNCITO) with a friend and chatting. The ZunZuncito was mouthwatering. The oat milk foam was a nice introduction and then you get a taste of the cold brew with caramel! I'm so glad I stopped by this coffeeshop while I was in town. Joel and Pascale had a vision of bringing high quality organic tea and locally roasted coffee to Cypress Texas. Founded in 2013, it's quite easy to see why this eco-conscious coffee roaster has quite a good following. Was initially drawn to the airy interior that offered a ton of natural light. But most importantly, these folks offer some high quality coffee, specializing in Mexico, Rwanda, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Papua New Guinea. You could just tell as they offer pour overs, aero press, and French press. The staff, as other Yelpers have mentioned, know their stuff and offer great recommendations. When I asked the barista what medium roasts she recommended , she said that she really enjoyed the Costa Rica. She said it was a full bodied medium roast that tasted like cocoa and nutmeg, with a tinge of citrus. She told me that it was typically a light roast which would mean that the citrus notes would stand out even more. When I drank the medium roast, it was excellent. A very deep cocoa taste with a decent citrus note. Over all it feels well balanced and a perfect medium roast. I also got the pot with my pour over- always very useful and very affordable. My main complaint is that there's not enough parking spots, so you have to head to the back. The issue is when someone parks in the dirt road leading to the back, you are stuck. So perhaps maybe create an alternative route to navigate around. read more

I came here before doing some errands and I can't believe I haven't been here before!! This is the spot. I was greeted by the 2 baristas working that day and they were super nice and very knowledgeable about where their coffee and tea are from. They have traditional coffee (not your frappuccinos and extra sugary drinks). I didn't want to get a normal latte and I didn't want to get my usual go to- matcha latte because they didn't have soy milk :( (they only have oatmilk as their non-dairy at the moment) The barista informed me that they source everything organically and they haven't found another non-dairy that doesn't have a lot of preservatives or additives in it yet. I ended up going with a Mocha latte with whole milk and then a plain croissant. I was also a little scared that the Mocha would be way too sweet because coffee shops usually use a thick syrup but I was surprised at the taste of this one! They use a dark chocolate sauce and the mocha taste was more on the bitter side and that went really well with the espresso. The chocolate taste did not overpower the espresso and I could taste an equal balance between the flavors. The croissant is also HUGE so you really get a lot for what you pay for. I couldn't finish the whole thing when I was there so when I got home I toasted it some more and it was even better (: I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this place. Very quaint and tucked away off of telge and cyp north houston. There is so much natural light which is perfect for people that need to study or to sit and enjoy your coffee. They have free wifi, just make sure to ask for the passcode at the front. On our way back to Austin from Houston we needed a perk-me-up. We found Cafe ZunZun on Yelp and headed right on over. I now have a new favorite go to spot whenever I'm back in town and headed back home to Austin. This place is amazing. The aesthetic, the atmosphere, and the coffee are all 10/10's! My gf ordered herself a vanilla latte and got myself a pour over. Instant favorites and both great choices. The vanilla latte is not too sweet and has so much flavor in it. The pour over (if I'm not mistaken I got the Uganda beans) was a fantastic choice! The shop is quiet and bright. The folks here are extremely friendly and make every drink with care. If you're in the area, and even if you aren't, head on over to Cafe ZunZun and get yourself an awesome coffee/tea NOW! 10/10 spot! read more

I come here 1-4 times a week and this place is 30ish mins away from me.. that just shows how amazing it is and it is definitely worth the drive!! The coffee is AMAZING, my go to is a zunzuncito! I've tried the iced matcha, mocha, chai tea and they're all so good, they're the perfect balance of not being overly sweet. Their pastries are also really good and can't go wrong with any of them, but the strawberry one is the best in my opinion. The aesthetics are so nice and it's a very good place to come and get work done or just chat with people. Parking can be a little messy but it clears up pretty fast and there's also a little more space in the back! The baristas are always so nice and it's always super clean.
