I was curious about this place and their services after a targeted Instagram advert said they have $75 first time client IV drips. We are going on an international trip so I figured an IV drip loaded with immunity boosters could help. The location is easy to find with ample parking. There was a lot going on at this location so not sure if this is the norm or if there was just a bonkers random day. What I mean by that is I had multiple texts and emails confirming my time at 11am but then when I checked in the front desk said oh hey you're here early your apt isn't until 1130. I then showed them my 11 confirmation texts and then the front desk was apologetic and offered me free leg compression because of the mix up. These btw were great!! After I got into compression, I had some forms to fill out and I also had to do a telehealth apt to review my medical history and approve the IV drip and any add ons. An attendant came over and reviewed all their IV offerings - the $75 came with two basic add ins or one luxe one. I choose the two basic. I also had to verbalize the $75 first client deal because at first she was saying it was $150 (so don't be afraid to speak up). At this point, it was close to 1145 so they offered me an additional two regular add ins or one more luxe add in for free because of the wait. Overall, I really appreciated the staff for taking care of me with the add ons due to the confusion and waiting. I overheard them say to two other people that they couldn't accommodate their Ivs on this day due to system glitches and their nurse on staff being overbooked. The space itself is clean and spacious and they offer a lot of various health and wellness related services. My biggest complaint was that a couple came in with their toddler and the toddler was behaving like a toddler. I wish there was a policy that prevented kids or toddlers from being in the space because a relaxing environment is easily disrupted when there is a toddler whining and running around. I'm happy with the additional services I received because of the wait and confusion and overall I'm happy with my experiences. My total for services came to $107 which isn't the $75 that was advertised and confirmed by me a few different times but at this point I was 2 hrs into my time there and just wanted to get on with my day. I'd likely come back but I'd need to better understand the pricing of services because again, the $75 get you in price changed to $107 by the time check out came around. I am writing to complain about my experience at the Arbor Trails location on March 10, 2025, and about misleading membership practices and failed IV incident. IV Incident: Around 3:00 PM, I arrived for a scheduled IV treatment (using four expiring credits). The nurse unsuccessfully attempted two punctures on my left arm, causing discomfort. I declined further attempts. The front desk denied my request to extend credits despite the failed procedure citing my cancelled membership which is irrelevant. Credit/Sales Complaint: I am disappointed by the handling of the failed IV, for which I request a refund or credit extension. I also have 24 expiring credits this month that I cannot use due to travel, and I requested these be extended which again was simply denied. I further complain that I was misled about credit expiration; I was told 90 days at signup but only learned of the 30-day post-cancellation limit after canceling. My requests for credit extension was denied. I also filed a Better Business Bureau complaint. They sweet talk you into getting these memberships but life happens like sickness, travel and work and one can accumulate a lot of credits that expire that one paid for but cannot use. read more

I am updating my review that was initially 6 stars (not a thing but would've if I could've), then 5 stars, and now 1 for quite a few reasons. No one likes change. But when that change negatively impacts your customers so that you can increase your bottom line then, eventually, you'll reap what you sow. Word of mouth (and I am loud), reviews like this (and I am detailed), and your competitors picking up what you left off will all result in a decline in your customer satisfaction and, ultimately, that bottom line you worked so hard to increase. ***Drip/IV Services*** I started patronizing Restore for this. I planned on a one-time visit and have now spent probably getting close to $10,000 on these services (and a few non-drip services). I was okay when the menu changed a little here and there. But recently changes have severely impacted my access to what I pay for. 1. Availability: When I first started Restore (as a business or this location) wasn't new, their business model wasn't new, I was. So I could walk-in at any time and there was a nurse available to start a drip immediately or within minutes of me arriving. NOW, I can't even get in when I want by making an appointment. The number of slots has been decreased (based on #2, I would assume) resulting in me, either, going without, going to a competitor, or scheduling on another day (another time on the same day usually isn't even available). 2. Nurse: It doesn't seem like Restore is staffing two nurses at any time anymore (as mentioned, likely related to the above). So you have a single nurse stretched to the limit (having to eat snacks in-between patients, charting, going to the restroom, checking mHBO, etc.). And, by extension, impacting your customers' experiences. When every chair is always full on the weekends, based on your ridiculous scheduling (see #1), etc. but you don't find it beneficial to provide the resources for customers to access what they pay for - you need to rethink what your purpose and goals actually are as business. And, if I heard correctly, the manager is supposed to be releasing the nurses if there is no one booked. That is not how this works. Gyms don't close if no one is there, tanning salons and yoga places don't either. Your staff should be sitting there awaiting customers to, again, access what they pay for. I work in healthcare and know how much all of the supplies and meds that you use cost and know that you are making money off of these memberships and (especially) individual/one-time visits. Just like any other business customers often return because of the people that work there. This is no different. The nurses become familiar, become friends, ease anxieties, etc. and make the experience that much better. But what these changes are going to do is push good people away (possibly resulting in patient safety concerns) because they won't be getting the hours they need. Of all of your staff this group is made up of the most educated and highly sought after professionals (especially at this time). Treating them as expendable is going to hurt you much more than them. ***Stretch Services*** This is quite baffling to me. There was RARELY a time I would visit that the stretch techs were not busy. I never utilized these services because I didn't understand the value. And now that I could use these services they are no longer offered. This may have been something that was only popular/profitable at this location but it was just that. In looking at the pricing, these services (even for member pricing) are higher than most massage places, personal trainers, etc. So I just don't understand this. It seems to be just another bad decision. ***Memberships*** As I had previously mentioned, it is ASININE that memberships are ONLY VALID AT THE LOCATION WHERE YOU SIGNED UP!!! Using the examples above (i.e., tanning salons and gyms) memberships can be used at any location (whether it is corporate or a franchise). Why is this different? It is absurd. When I signed up it wasn't clear to me that this was the case but I later learned that there were at least 4 corporate locations in the Austin area - so that made it a bit more palatable. But now, none - just this location. It is 2022 and can't be that hard to do what others in the "membership-based industry" already do - get with it. I will end by saying, I am not sure if these changes are due to a new person in leadership who has come in thinking they've got these groundbreaking, profitable ideas or the existing leadership got a wild hair and decided to shake things up. If the former, I suggest this person immediately be relieved as their decisions/direction don't seem to stand up to logic and reason. If the latter, well, the same; none of this makes any sense. For those reading this, please if you'd like recommendations for other services in the Austin area. I have visited quite a few. I hope to see some positive changes (i.e., benefitting the customer) soon. read more

I waited an hour and a half for someone to take my blood pressure, only for the nurse practitioner to tell me that she wouldn't clear me for the IV that I've gotten at many other locations. I've been here 2 times. Once recently and again years ago. I live in the other side of town so it's just not conveniently go more often. I got a cryo and an IV before. I don't recall it having the best results. This last time I was in need of a stretch massage. Not too many places offer it and I was willing to drive across Austin for it. From the minute I walked in everyone was very polite, professional, and accommodating. I saw Spencer and I couldn't have been more happier with me experience. He was always in communication and accepted any feedback during the session. Not only did I have great results but the prices were pretty reasonable. They do try to get you to get you on a monthly (3 month minimum) plan by offering discounts. If I wasn't so far away I may have taken it. The only criticism I have is the room they do the stretch massage in is off to the side and anyone that walks by has a full view of your session. I would prefer for privacy and dimly lit room. Mr. Smidgens here. I am one of the biggest advocates of Cryotherapy. That being said, when the chambers are operated properly. I purchased 2 / 3 session Groupons for myself and Robynn G. We had tried 7 Fit Studios and had great results with the sessions we had there. When this Groupon became available it seemed like a great deal for something we knew worked for pulled backs and tweaked knees. The first session we both had was okay, but it did not compare to the sessions we had had at the other studio. I wanted a 3rd opinion so, I went to the Onnit Academy and tried their chamber. It was magic! I went for a training session after my cryotherapy at Onnit and had a phenomenal workout. We spoke to Jim and he said he would make sure the chamber was good to go the next time we came in. You see, they had just opened up and only had one chamber, but were getting a lot of business. That's great, but the trick to having a great cryo session is to have the cryo chambers dry out between clients. There were too many clients going through one after the other. Over and over again with no time to dry out the chambers properly. Jim apologized to us again after our second sessions, because the liquid nitrogen levels were only coming up half way. He did not deduct the sessions we had. We appreciated that. We know he wanted to make it right. As someone who has run his own businesses, that type of customer service is important. Well, the last time we went was back in the Fall of 2015. That was the last time we went until now, because I had gotten frost burn on my arm and Robynn got burns on her legs. As these are temporary and only last a few days, they are uncomfortable and should not happen. Frost burns when getting cryotherapy is not normal. Jim assured us they would get another machine to take the load off the one they had. Well, here we are in the Summer of 2016 and we decided to go back for our last sessions. We figured enough time had gone by and they would have 2 chambers instead of one. Well, they had indeed purchased another chamber, but they were not using it along with the other chamber. One person had gone before me and when I got into the chamber I noticed condensation on the pads. There should be no condensation on the pads. I asked for a towel from the technician to wipe down the pads. That did not do the trick, I still got frost burn on my left arm. I have included a picture for a visual. At no point were any of my body parts touching the pads. Robynn went in for her session right after me and started to get burns on the back of her leg. She called it short because of the burning sensation. I want to make this perfectly clear, you should not feel a burning sensation during your sessions. You should not have any visual burns on your skin. That is not normal. That means the machines need to be dried out before someone else goes in for a session. We thought they would have this down after 8 months, but we ran into the same experience. I know Jim will try and remedy this. We appreciate that. We just want to inform people that may not know that these types of experiences are not normal. Their staff has always been super friendly and they do have a clean environment. Cryotherapy is great and should be utilized for aches and pains in your body. It is a great form of recovery and I highly recommend it. If you go to Restore, just make sure the machines do not have condensation in them. If the liquid nitrogen is not coming up to your neck, you are not getting the full experience. This used to be a cool place. But a few months ago they hired a new store manager who was not very friendly or kind to guest or other employees. I was worried the following might happen when I saw her get the job. Since then all the cool and kind people that used to work there are gone, and have been replaced by people more like the new manager. Im guessing the good people really didn't like the new unkind / unfriendly style of the new manger. There are a couple of nice people there, but the majority behave as if they are doing you a favor just to explain or provide services. It was really disappointing to see the place go down hill like that. I hope some day they get a much nicer manager and kinder people to work there. Restore- Arbor Trails is fantastic! I'm training for my first marathon and went in today for compression therapy and decided to try out full body cryotherapy. I had a really excellent experience and I'm so pleased and impressed. I will definitely be making this location a regular part of my maintenance as I train. The intro- The manager Danielle greeted me at the front and is so sweet and confident. She makes you feel like you're there to hang out with the gang and is very inviting. She got me set up for compression, explained why it was best to do that before cryo and then told me she was heading out but who I would be working with after she left. Compression- The guys working (Josh and Spencer) both checked on me and chatted with me and made me feel at home during my 30 minute compression session. It was a very comfortable experience and I love that they have bigger sleeves for people with larger legs. My quads mean business and I have never ever felt uncomfortable at this location. I have done compression there a few times now and it really does help loosen me up. Cryo- Here's where it got interesting. To summarize, I was standing naked in a freezing cold tube that exposes only my head, chatting with Josh to distract me from both the cold and the nitrogen pumping in (made me feel a little short of breath but it passes quickly). I felt completely comfortable with him in there with me. Josh and Spencer both have a really good energy and even when I was the only customer there, standing totally naked in a frozen tube with two men I don't know, I felt completely at ease. They're both friendly and professional and the facility is bright and clean and it totally felt like I was just visiting with some friends the whole time. That level of casual, easy energy. Checkout- I noticed some services listed that I hadn't heard of before so I asked Spencer about them. Y'all. He gave me such a detailed explanation of the process and health benefits that I was not only impressed when I left- I felt like I need to come back and do everything listed on that menu. I can't say enough good things about this company and the staff working at Arbor Trails! I have a myriad of health issues and this place has been a godsend for me. The owner is one of the kindest beings on the planet and truly cares about every aspect of the company and can often be seen in the clinic using the services himself. I was already a fan of IV drips before I discovered Restore and decided to do the micronutrient testing (blood test) to see if I could get any clues to my chronic fatigue. My now CUSTOMIZED drips are completely changing my energy level! And as I don't have the easiest veins I was a little nervous but ALL the nursing staff have been stellar! I fell hard on one knee and have also been doing compression and local cryo which was doing a great job reducing the inflammation. Bad - and very expensive - experience at Restore Hyper Wellness - Arbor Trails. In February of 2018 I signed up for a three month membership for $69 per month at Restore Hyper Wellness - Arbor Trails. The contract states that it will roll into a month-to-month contract after the initial 3 month period but that "Cancellation can be processed by submitting a 30-day written notice, in-store or by email (info@restorecryotherapy....). I chose to cancel in person at the store after the 3 months, but last week I noticed that they have been charging my card $69 every month since then. That's 20 payments or $1380. I have not been back for cryotherapy since April of 2018, I cost them nothing and I have gotten nothing for my money. They refuse to refund me my money, saying that they have no evidence that I canceled. However, their contract states that you can cancel in-store, which I know that I did, and I told them that my evidence of cancelation is that I have not been back to their store since those initial the 3 months. They offered a store credit, but I am not interested in going back, which is why I canceled in the first place. Think twice before doing business with this place. read more

I've been going to Restore Cryotherapy Arbor Trails ever since they first opened their doors. I had previously gone to other cryo-studios in Austin, but I've never found that "community" that Restore creates with its clientele. Jim, the owner, is seen frequently at the Arbor Trails location. Not many businesses of that caliber would you have a personal relationship with the owner where he knows your name and takes time to visit with you every time he sees you. The staff is outstanding and always makes you feel welcome and right at home. The facility is clean and has many cutting edge technologies for health and wellness. Cyrotherapy has helped me with my Rheumatoid Arthritis and the latest stretching program that Restore has introduced has become a weekly necessity for me. Walked in on Monday with no appointment for chronic sciatica pain I was practically in tears and felt so much better after my first session. I was fortunate enough to be seen immediately. I've used Cryotherapy before when my fascia tissue cramped down on my chest wall after having pneumonia. This place is so awesome. I came in initially for the cryo but since have stared doing the sauna as well. As a former athlete who probably pushes it a little too hard the 3 min cryo is perfect for weekly rehabbing minor soreness. The inferred sauna is also perfect for getting a clean sweat. Wow! I love "freezing!" Okay, it is really, really cold -- for 3 minutes. The staff stand outside the cryotherapy unit and talk with me and frequently there are only 10-15 seconds left and I haven't even asked "How much longer?" The best part -- greatly reduced inflammation! I can move without pain!! Bonus: I have so much energy and I sleep well after treatments. I have an autoimmune disease, as well as EDS (and several other genetic issues) and feel cryotherapy keeps me functioning better than I would without it! For me the benefits far outweigh any minor discomfort from the cold. I buy 10 sessions at a time. I've tried the cryo-facial and loved it, loved it so much I bought a few sessions! I love the way it softened the experience markers on my face! I was impressed after the first treatment. Jim and his staff are wonderful. It's a highlight of my day if I get to go freeze!
