I met with Ted & he became my coach/PT this part March of 2021 & it was easily one of the luckiest…read more& best decisions I made. From the beginning, I could tell how humble & kind Ted was and took as much time he could to understand what I had gone through with previous injuries & pain points I had in my body. He made sure to do his proper assessments and come up with an initial workout/PT plan that became more customized to my body as he learned more from how my body reacted. I mainly communicate with Ted over WhatsApp and we set in person check ups based on how I am doing throughout my workout/rehab program. At first, I wasn't too sure how this would work if our in person meetings were very limited but Ted is a great communicator on WhatsApp by making sure you have everything you need. I send all my videos of different exercises I do in my workout plan to get guidance & tips from Ted & address anything that causes pain. I've dealt with lower back pain for many years and never thought I would be able to do heavy lifts like squats or deadlifts. However, Ted has been the only one to get me past that point and this is the strongest I've been. Even with setbacks at times, Ted reassures me that it is a part of the process and I always bounce back & make a lot more progress. Thanks for everything thus far Ted and I am excited to see how far we will get! If you are like me and have a heavy internet in weightlifting & tried a ton of different PTs, Chiropractors, Doctors, etc with minimal progress on your pain then its time you meet with Ted.

Dr. Ted has been my coach and physio since July 2019. I originally approached him due to pain and…read moretingling in my right thigh during squatting. Through videoconferencing, he conducted an initial assessment of my body movements, diagnosed my source of discomfort, and prescribed a set of stretches to increase my mobility and flexibility. After 3-4 weeks, my pain during squatting disappeared and hasn't returned since. In terms of coaching, my goals were to get stronger and more muscular overall focusing on my posterior chain. Dr. Ted created a lifting program that included a mix of exercises to meet my goals as well as a plan for bulking that included tracking my calories and macros. What I like best about Dr. Ted is that he listens to you and thinks carefully about what your goals are because he truly cares about helping you achieve them. He's accessible through multiple avenues of communication. He provides feedback through videos of your lifts, asks about your workout after each one through messaging, and makes changes based on what you share with him. He patiently listens to and solicits ongoing feedback while maintaining a calm and positive demeanor. He helps you cognitively reframe your behavior when you're feeling down or unmotivated to help keep you on track. In less than 6 months, I've gained several inches of muscle everywhere including 2.5" of growth in my glutes. I recommend him highly if you need a professional with a rare mix of physical therapy knowledge, lifting experience, and motivational techniques. He provides a holistic exercise program that you can trust to keep you physically safe while optimizing your physique goals and maintaining your motivation.

Since we were to travel on a walking-intensive trip to Germany approx. three weeks hence, we asked the doctor if I could get some PT. He wrote the referral and told us that Pro-Motion on Slaughter Ln was a good place to go. That was convenient since he is in the same shopping center. After an initial evaluation by one of the doctors at ProMotion, they placed me with Byron, a former Marine, who went to ACC and was trained as a Physical Therapy Assistant. I was amazed by how good he was--I think he's a natural for this kind of thing, though I'm sure the training also helped a lot. I really hope he gets the opportunity to study to get his doctorate in PT, because I'm pretty sure he will be a great one. He was always patient, firm, and honest. A hard combination to find--though the fact that he was a Marine made it a little less surprising. I made a lot of progress in three weeks, but as we came to the end of the three weeks, we decided that it was best for me to bring a cane along on the trip (I'd never used a cane in my life) since I was told we would be walking typically 5 to 7 miles per day (of course, not all in one walk without a break--but, still that's more than I walked before my injury). Brandon taught me how to use the cane. Though I was able to basically get around without a cane, I did need it sometimes, especially towards the end of a day. He also counseled me on selecting the right kind of compression socks to wear on the airplane. I cannot say enough good things about Byron and Pro-Motion Physical Therapy.

Took a break for a while then over Christmas break, injured my shoulder again and ended up wearing a brace for a few days. Came to Pro Motion and I wish I came here years ago. Dennis has been a life saver. He could tell immediately what was going on, that I wouldn't need surgery and would just need 6 weeks. So thankful for Dennis - just trust me and go see him. I've been recommending him to others ever since!

I was referred here after not one but TWO car accidents that completely left not only my car but also my body destroyed. I've been receiving treatments for 4 months now starting in March (basically beginning of the pandemic) and started on an acute treatment plan where I came in twice a week for a bit and then it became once a week. All I can say is that Sam is a miracle worker!! I went from being sore and constantly feeling discomfort in my hips, back, shoulders, with pain in my left arm and right leg, (I wasn't kidding when I said body was destroyed) to being able to sleep soundly through the night without waking up multiple times from pain or being uncomfortable. I LOVE coming to my appointments, they're the favorite part of my week because I know I'll be able to walk out feeling great. Sam really knows what he's doing; I was introduced to the dry needling technique -- LIFE SAVING! -- and adjusted in the same visits. He asks how you are feeling at the beginning of every appointment and addresses all of your concerns, answers every question you have, and makes you feel like you're a part of the Next Level family! Kelsey and Amy at the front desk are also super friendly and helpful, the exercises I learned for some physical therapy at home for "homework" have definitely aided in my recovery. They also work with you in scheduling and are as flexible as they can given their busy days! I'm now able to work out almost daily and am so glad that I was able to get treatment here! I highly recommend it to ANYONE who is in ANY kind of discomfort.

They took the time to address the gaps that are so often overlooked--offering personalized support, education, and reassurance every step of the way. I could hardly hear her because there were so many loud kids in the background yelling. I told her that I didn't want to create a username and password and asked if it were possible to not give her my email address. She said no. All of their exercises and billing are done online. She said they cannot store my medical files online. I said that's only if I don't sign HIPAA. She said, "Well then, if you don't sign HIPAA, then you're not good fit with us." I don't have a problem signing HIPAA. I never said I don't want to sign HIPAA. I just know from my chiropractor's office that they store medical files in file cabinets because none of their patients have signed HIPAA. Lady Bird can store all of my medical files online and add me to the system as long as I sign HIPAA. I just don't want to log in to look at my exercises because I already have a gazillion accounts online. I did not appreciate her attitude. I also know at Mondo Therapy, patients are not required to create a username and password.
