I was assigned Anna who was awesome as well as all the assistants showing me the various exercises. The front desk ladies are helpful in booking appointments and running things smoothly. I'd get texts as appointment reminders too. Overall I'm very pleased that I was able to go here for treatment.

Two and a half months later, I was able to regain my range of motion and strength in the affected area as well. I owe my recovery to Dr. Talia Strahler, she was wonderful, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout this entire process! I would guess that people oftentimes have questions if they'll ever fully recover from comparable surgeries or feel that the process might be too difficult. I had similar thoughts and feelings, but once I got here they all went away. This recovery was definitely a team effort and I thank everyone so much for being the absolute best. It was such a welcoming environment, the staff is easy to communicate with. Scheduling is very easy and flexible, it's wonderful to get reminder text messages about upcoming appointments. Again, everyone is so friendly that oftentimes the work you're doing doesn't really feel like work because you're being checked-in on and/or there is great music playing in the background. This was an experience that I will not forget, nor the people involved! I know that if I ever need physical therapy again that I'll come back here in a heartbeat. If your results haven't improved after 3 or 4 visits, go somewhere else. If you seem to know more about what is going on with your type of injury/illness than they do, go somewhere else. I've been mulling over writing a review for Strickland for over two years now. After sustaining a…read moreTMJ injury I was sent there and promised by my doctor that they were the "best". I can not remember the name of my therapist but my time there (over 8 visits) consisted of heating pads and a less than ten minute massage that I was capable of doing myself. The only thing that seemed to help was a Tens machine which the therapist pulled out and used on me during ONE visit. Even though I told her it helped significantly, she never used it again. Because I did not show any progress in physical therapy my insurance quit covering my visits, but I was not informed of this until I had made 3 additional visits that I was left to pay for. When I received my bill I was shocked. I know that physical therapy is expensive - that is not what I was shocked about. My physical therapist had charged me for the use of the tens machine EVERY appointment and cited that she did this at EVERY appointment I had ever had. I was charged a good chunk of money for services that were not rendered and so was my insurance. When I called to speak with billing and tell them about the inaccuracy of my charges, they told me they would fix the bill and send it back out. Over 6 months, this is what happened, I'd call, tell them that the services they were charging for had never happened and they'd tell me to wait to pay until they fixed it. Eventually, billing told me to ignore the bills, because they were going to drop the charges. After that statement I quit receiving bills. Unfortunately, 3-6 months later I instead received a bill from a debt collector. Talk about bad service... lying about services rendered, incapable of following through on what they say they would do and then sending it all to debt collector... WOW NOW over two years later, they've called to tell me they are issuing a refund check and for a minute I was very hopeful that this was the case. BUT just like everything else, I feel as though it was a lie. It's been over a month and a half and I've received nothing in the mail. When I call them, they tell me it'll be sent out immediately, but just like with their billing issues, I'm sure I will most likely, never get the money they owe me. I half expect another letter from a debt collector for more services that I never had. *** QUICK EDIT - it's 2015 now, and no, I never received that refund.

STAR PT is THE "1 stop shop for all your body's needs!" 1st…read moresection of this review is "my story"; Skip to the end for other details about STAR PT. K, I'm a bit biased: I, myself, was a PT at STAR for 10 years. But, I'm a patient right now: bicipital tendinitis developed as a result of shoulder impingement/rotator cuff arthropathy. I couldn't use my arm worth squat, constant pain, and intense pain with attempted use. What I had tried/done failed. Grew very discouraged/depressed: Husband asked me when I was going to DO something about it (& stop complaining, lol). Saw my doc: He offered an injection, but I said, "PT first please, and I want to go to STAR." (don't want injections to jeopardize the integrity of my tendons, and STAR PT "only"!). Yes, a PT may need another PT to lift one up, illuminate the path, and lead the way to success! Highlighting Anthony for his awesomeness! I specifically requested Anthony because he was the only one who didn't "know me." I know the other therapists, and they are all excellent. In this case personally, I wanted to be "led" unbiasedly: without any consideration/assumption that I "should know" this or that since the others "know" I'm a PT. Visits 1 & 2 proved to me why you see a PT before injections/surgery: immediate positive impact! I experienced a set-back after the visit 3 - of the exact same nature as to why I was unsuccessful when I tried to rehab myself. Anthony got me past this in ways that I'd never thought of! Week 3: still progressing, and Anthony increased focus on other components of my body to ensure long-term success (YES, core/pelvic/hip/leg exercises for my shoulder problem!). 8th visit/re-evaluation: 80+% better! Able to swim freestyle without problems over 4th of July holidays, pain is SO much less (I can handle intermittent dull aching), I no longer hesitate to use my arm (though it's still quite weak), and I'm now asking questions about working out! Anthony is so awesome: He listens, instructs, educates, set goals, and puts the plan into place. Though (as a PT) I think I could "take over" independently at this point, I'm continuing because I want to return to 100% and want him to keep leading me to ensure success. I started a version of push-ups (um, 7 visits ago, this thought was ludicrous)! Anthony reviewed other activities/gym exercises to try (or avoid), reminded me of needed rest/recovery periods and signs of when to back-off/stop. I don't know if I'll need to update this review when I am 100%, because I'm now feeling like nothing's going to stop me from reaching my goals! & Yes, should I experience any "hiccup" from this point forward, Anthony will bring me beyond it (full confidence), but this is why I'm still going to STAR PT!
