I had an incredible experience with Lady Bird PT. Throughout both pregnancy and postpartum, I received truly holistic and compassionate care that went far beyond what even the most attentive OB can typically provide in today's healthcare environment. They took the time to address the gaps that are so often overlooked--offering personalized support, education, and reassurance every step of the way. Whether you're dealing with pelvic floor symptoms or simply want guidance on safe, effective body mechanics as you return to your favorite workouts, Lady Bird is an amazing resource. I'm so grateful for the care I received and can't recommend them enough. read more

I was referred to Lady Bird by Austin Area Obgyn. A woman called to schedule an appointment requiring an email address to become a patient. I could hardly hear her because there were so many loud kids in the background yelling. I told her that I didn't want to create a username and password and asked if it were possible to not give her my email address. She said no. All of their exercises and billing are done online. She said they cannot store my medical files online. I said that's only if I don't sign HIPAA. She said, "Well then, if you don't sign HIPAA, then you're not good fit with us." I don't have a problem signing HIPAA. I never said I don't want to sign HIPAA. I just know from my chiropractor's office that they store medical files in file cabinets because none of their patients have signed HIPAA. Lady Bird can store all of my medical files online and add me to the system as long as I sign HIPAA. I just don't want to log in to look at my exercises because I already have a gazillion accounts online. I did not appreciate her attitude. I also know at Mondo Therapy, patients are not required to create a username and password. read more

I worked with Dr. Liz Cote during my pregnancy and postpartum. I can't recommend her enough! Thanks to her guidance and techniques, I felt as physically prepared as possible going into the delivery room. Postpartum, she also helped with rebuilding my core. Beyond her technical expertise, she's just an awesome individual - she's super easy to talk to and makes you feel very comfortable during your visits. Overall, my experience at Lady Bird has been super positive and I credit them with helping me physically navigating my pre- and postpartum months. read more

Shannon is the best! I came in with lots of issues due to sitting in the wrong position for years. I was struggling with migraines which can be from some many different things. Bio feedback though is a huge trigger for me, my body needed help. Shannon helped me correct my bad habits, gave me exercises to do at home but also would do muscle work on me. The muscle work I looked forward to because I felt like it gave me relief in my day to day pain allowing them to relax. read more

I saw Rebecca for a few sessions during pregnancy and after delivery. She was SO helpful and played a pivotal role in my mental and physical preparation for an unmedicated birth. She has also been unbelievably helpful in my recovery, helping me to slowly ramp up physical activity so I can feel a bit more like myself pre-baby. I'm now 8 week PP and am so happy with the progress I've made, thanks to her advice and help throughout. I can't recommend Rebecca and the team at Ladybird PT enough, especially if you're a first time mom looking for some guidance during pregnancy and post-birth! read more

Must see PT for women in Austin! I first worked with Rebecca almost 3 years ago after my second child was born for basic pelvic floor rehab. She helped me ensure I was in great condition for a healthy postpartum recovery. When a nagging lower back issue cropped up more recently I was thrilled to be connected with Shannon who has been a miracle worker in helping me address unhelpful movement patterns. The bonus of working with a PT like Shannon who is both an othro specialist and trained in pelvic floor rehab means she takes into account the whole picture of an active mother of two little kids. I'm so grateful for Lady Bird PT! read more

I highly recommend going to see Shannon! She helped me so much during my pregnancy and postpartum. I was having some bad back and pelvic pain during my pregnancy, and even after one session with her, I was feeling so much better. She also provided me with some simple exercises I could do at home to help with the pain. I was able to start fully exercising again which I wasn't able to do with the pain. I also had a pretty rough delivery, which wrecked my pelvic floor, and she has been so helpful and knowledgeable during my recovery. She made me feel very comfortable and relaxed during my sessions. Will continue to see her for my recovery! read more

I worked with Rebecca several YEARS after having my last baby. I thought working on incontinence and improving pelvic floor strength were not possible this far postpartum. Thankfully I was wrong. Rebecca's bedside manner and her knowledge were invaluable for my recovery. She explained every step of our visits and exams, and always asked for consent before touching or assessing. Her detailed notes made it easy for me to continue exercises to work on strength between visits, and even after regular visits. I fully credit her for giving me the ability to run, jump, and cough without fear of an outfit change. I highly recommend her and the team at Lady Bird to anyone - regardless of where they are postpartum - for pelvic floor recovery. read more

I'm so grateful my OB referred me to Lady Bird Physical Therapy after my hysterectomy. I saw Dr. Rebecca about 9 weeks post surgery. I was really struggling with core weakness and was terrified to do daily tasks and even more terrified to start working out again. She put together a plan comprised of manual therapy and therapeutic exercises to help me get back to my level of activity pre surgery. She followed up with me via email after every appointment with a detailed summary of the weekly therapeutic exercises. She is extremely knowledgeable in this field and is really easy to talk to. I'm beyond happy I am feeling better, but I will miss my appointments with her and talking about all the latest shows on tv. 20/10 Highly recommend Dr. Rebecca at Lady Bird Physical Therapy. Thank you again for all your help during my recovery process. read more

My experience here so far has been life changing. After having 2 kids, like many who give birth, my body had significant issues. After explaining my symptoms to Dr. Shannon, she explained the most likely causes and gave me many exercises and recommendations. It was so reassuring to know that I wasn't alone and just a hopeless case. I'm finally optimistic that my body will become strong and flexible again. Additionally, everyone that works at here is extremely kind, and their blogs and Instagram posts are SO helpful and informative. Do yourself a favor and make an appointment at Lady Bird! read more

This was my second bout of PT with Dr. Maidansky; my first was in 2019 postpartum with my first child, and I returned now at 32 weeks pregnant to get some help with typical pregnancy symptoms. She once again knew exactly how to guide me in figuring out what was going on, gave me the confidence and tools to address it, and helped prepare me for my coming labor and birth. I will absolutely be returning postpartum as I return to my typical physical activities. In addition, the office protocols for COVID are excellent, including waiting in you car until your appointment time, individual evaluation/treatment rooms, and masks. I highly recommend Lady Bird PT to anyone and especially to folks with pelvic floor, prenatal & postpartum, etc. Symptoms. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Lady Bird PT. Rebecca was so kind and and helpful when I threw my back out the week before my wedding. She not only squeezed me in, but also scheduled follow up appointments with me to check my progress. She made a super stressful situation so much better with her expertise but also her humor and kindness. She's my favorite doctor and I will always refer my friends and family to her. read more

If you've given birth...make an appointment here. Pelvic floor physical therapy should, in my opinion, be a standard of care after giving birth. I was cleared at six weeks to return to sex and exercise, despite having pain with both. Becky not only gave me an in-depth understanding of why I was feeling the pain that I was having, but had me back to both activities relatively pain-free in less than three months. She is knowledgeable, personable, and makes a very intimate and intimidating practice so unbelievably comfortable and welcoming. Thank you for assisting me back to health and normalizing pp pain and discomfort! read more

I highly recommend Lady Bird PT for both prenatal and postpartum therapy! I've felt welcome, heard, and supported by the whole team since my initial assessment for pelvic floor tension and pregnancy-related pain in my second trimester. Anna and Jessica put me at ease and showed me practical movement corrections during the assessment, and the wonderful Anna has provided expert, empathetic care since the end of my pregnancy through these first few months postpartum. The combination of her manual therapy and manageable, modifiable home program helped relieve tension and significantly reduced my pain. Her comprehensive labor prep and guidance for activity during recovery also gave me more confidence going into the birth of my first child and helped me take better care of myself immediately afterward. I appreciate the educational component of her therapy, which now involves better understanding how to safely rebuild core strength and resume regular exercise. I'm very grateful for Anna and this practice! read more

There were more life changes after having my 2nd baby than I could have ever anticipated and as a result my physical health was not prioritized. More than a year post partum my incontinence (with laughing, coughing, sneezing) was worsening so I decided to try Lady Bird PT. Anna has been my PT and 5 stars are not enough to express the gratitude I have for her! I was in complete denial how much my incontinence, back pain, and crippling monthly cycles (only since my 2nd C-section) were permeating my daily life until Anna addressed and resolved every single one of them! She is respectful and comforting when approaching such a vulnerable topic/ experience, empowering and supportive in helping me toward full recovery, and truly a wealth of knowledge!! My quality of life is better because of Anna and I suggest every single woman post partum to call and get an appointment with Anna the miracle worker! read more

Cannot recommend Lady Bird Physical Therapy and Jessica enough. Dr. Shannon Russell is a phenomenal PT. She was recommended to me as one of the best and brightest PTs in Austin when I sustained a sports injury. She was excellent at assessing and developing a treatment plan that was specific to my goals while dealing with my questions and stubbornness (haha). Shannon went above and beyond with treatment by educating me on healthier/safer fitness movements and daily functions to prevent further injury. Any patient is lucky to have her as their doctor. She's friendly, kind, and passionate about giving the best care. read more

I was referred to Lady Bird by my OB after a challenging pregnancy with a fair amount of pelvic pain, and continuing symptoms postpartum. I have been seeing Dr. Jessica Chasta for several months now, and am so pleased with the outcome. Dr. Chasta is knowledgable, thoughtful, attentive, and kind, and she does a great job making you feel comfortable in vulnerable circumstances. She's also very fun to talk to, which is an added bonus! I am now pregnant with my second child, and I'm so happy to have this amazing resource to guide me through. I feel supported and so much more confident in managing my symptoms (which because of PT, we've kept at bay thus far!). I'm so grateful for my experience with Lady Bird. read more

I highly recommend Lady Bird Physical Therapy! Months after my C-section, I still couldn't sit up from lying down without assistance and felt kind of resigned to never feeling myself again. Dr. Jessica Chastka was so perceptive, kind, and encouraging, and now, with the program she designed for me, as well as regular physical therapy sessions, I'm in great shape to return to some of my favorite forms of exercise. read more

The Lady Bird team is awesome! I am really a believer in pelvic floor physical therapy after having my first child. I did a birth prep session with Jess in the third trimester and then several postpartum visits with her to help me with my unexpected C-section recovery and return to running. Jess, Allie, and Rebecca are fantastic - so friendly, supportive, and knowledgeable. Treatment covered scar massage, pelvic floor rehabilitation, rebuilding my core strength, and building back into running. I will definitely be back for my next pregnancy! read more

Rebecca is a wealth of knowledge and I have consulted her on more than one occasion regarding pelvic floor PT. She is caring and understanding, something necessary when it comes to women's health. I can't praise the folks at Lady Bird PT enough! I highly recommend! read more

I couldn't be happier with my experience at Lady Bird. I started seeing Jessica when I was at the end of my 2nd trimester and experiencing some really awful hip pain. I never saw a PT after the first time I gave birth and I suspect I was paying for it in my second pregnancy. We worked together to decrease that pain and also prepare for childbirth. I'm 11 weeks postpartum and feeling strong and healthy - no doubt because Jessica took the time to assess me and help me add exercises to my arsenal. The office is safe, the sessions are incredibly effective and the staff is incredibly nice. Jessica especially is a wonderful person and physical therapist, and I'll miss seeing her for our check-ins! Many pregnant people are now seeing the importance of starting pelvic floor therapy before childbirth - Lady Bird is the best of the best and you should book an appointment ASAP. Just because some parts of pregnancy and post-partum are uncomfortable doesn't mean that you have to suffer! read more
