I was referred to Lady Bird by Austin Area Obgyn. A woman called to schedule an appointment requiring an email address to become a patient. I could hardly hear her because there were so many loud kids in the background yelling. I told her that I didn't want to create a username and password and asked if it were possible to not give her my email address. She said no. All of their exercises and billing are done online. She said they cannot store my medical files online. I said that's only if I don't sign HIPAA. She said, "Well then, if you don't sign HIPAA, then you're not good fit with us." I don't have a problem signing HIPAA. I never said I don't want to sign HIPAA. I just know from my chiropractor's office that they store medical files in file cabinets because none of their patients have signed HIPAA. Lady Bird can store all of my medical files online and add me to the system as long as I sign HIPAA. I just don't want to log in to look at my exercises because I already have a gazillion accounts online. I did not appreciate her attitude. I also know at Mondo Therapy, patients are not required to create a username and password. read more

Shannon is the best! I came in with lots of issues due to sitting in the wrong position for years. I was struggling with migraines which can be from some many different things. Bio feedback though is a huge trigger for me, my body needed help. Shannon helped me correct my bad habits, gave me exercises to do at home but also would do muscle work on me. I worked with Rebecca several YEARS after having my last baby. I thought working on incontinence and improving pelvic floor strength were not possible this far postpartum. Thankfully I was wrong. Rebecca's bedside manner and her knowledge were invaluable for my recovery. She explained every step of our visits and exams, and always asked for consent before touching or assessing. I highly recommend going to see Shannon! She helped me so much during my pregnancy and postpartum. I was having some bad back and pelvic pain during my pregnancy, and even after one session with her, I was feeling so much better. She also provided me with some simple exercises I could do at home to help with the pain. I was able to start fully exercising again which I wasn't able to do with the pain. I also had a pretty rough delivery, which wrecked my pelvic floor, and she has been so helpful and knowledgeable during my recovery. She made me feel very comfortable and relaxed during my sessions. I'm so grateful my OB referred me to Lady Bird Physical Therapy after my hysterectomy. I saw Dr. Rebecca about 9 weeks post surgery. I was really struggling with core weakness and was terrified to do daily tasks and even more terrified to start working out again. She put together a plan comprised of manual therapy and therapeutic exercises to help me get back to my level of activity pre surgery. She followed up with me via email after every appointment with a detailed summary of the weekly therapeutic exercises. She is extremely knowledgeable in this field and is really easy to talk to. This was my second bout of PT with Dr. Maidansky; my first was in 2019 postpartum with my first child, and I returned now at 32 weeks pregnant to get some help with typical pregnancy symptoms. She once again knew exactly how to guide me in figuring out what was going on, gave me the confidence and tools to address it, and helped prepare me for my coming labor and birth. I will absolutely be returning postpartum as I return to my typical physical activities. If you've given birth...make an appointment here. Pelvic floor physical therapy should, in my opinion, be a standard of care after giving birth. I was cleared at six weeks to return to sex and exercise, despite having pain with both. Becky not only gave me an in-depth understanding of why I was feeling the pain that I was having, but had me back to both activities relatively pain-free in less than three months. She is knowledgeable, personable, and makes a very intimate and intimidating practice so unbelievably comfortable and welcoming. I've felt welcome, heard, and supported by the whole team since my initial assessment for pelvic floor tension and pregnancy-related pain in my second trimester. Anna and Jessica put me at ease and showed me practical movement corrections during the assessment, and the wonderful Anna has provided expert, empathetic care since the end of my pregnancy through these first few months postpartum. The combination of her manual therapy and manageable, modifiable home program helped relieve tension and significantly reduced my pain. I couldn't be happier with my experience at Lady Bird. I started seeing Jessica when I was at the end of my 2nd trimester and experiencing some really awful hip pain. I never saw a PT after the first time I gave birth and I suspect I was paying for it in my second pregnancy. We worked together to decrease that pain and also prepare for childbirth. I'm 11 weeks postpartum and feeling strong and healthy - no doubt because Jessica took the time to assess me and help me add exercises to my arsenal. The office is safe, the sessions are incredibly effective and the staff is incredibly nice. Jessica especially is a wonderful person and physical therapist, and I'll miss seeing her for our check-ins! Many pregnant people are now seeing the importance of starting pelvic floor therapy before childbirth - Lady Bird is the best of the best and you should book an appointment ASAP.
