Dr. Stubbs is an amazing Chiropractor! I was in a car accident a few months ago and ended up getting whiplash. I found Dr. Stubbs through yelp and made an appointment right away. My first appointment was very informative, he introduced himself, had me watch a video and take pictures of my posture to see what was wrong with my neck and walked me through what we would be working to fix. Dr. Stubbs worked with my schedule and was flexible with visits. I had the best experience, learned a lot about muscles, and felt so much better in a short amount of time! My favorite chiropractor in all of Austin! Most chiropractic appointments at other places consist only of spinal manipulation. That doesn't work for me because the adjustment slips right back out without any extra physical therapy or muscle work. Dr. James knows this won't yield great results either, and after my adjustment I do exercises and stretches that supplement the adjustment. My back and neck pain has been constant my whole life, but Dr. James has been the only chiropractor I have found in Austin (and I have been to a handful of others) that has been able to keep it manageable. I started seeing Dr James about a month ago due to issues with frequent migraine headaches . I'm currently pregnant and had never seen a chiropractor before so was nervous to go see someone . I'm so glad I made the decision to go see Dr James because after a month of being seen I am already feeling so much better . Before I was having debilitating headaches about 3-4 days a week. I have been seeing Dr. Stubbs on a weekly basis for almost a year now. I came to him with back pain that I had been dealing with for years due to lifting my daughter (85 lbs.) and her wheelchair. After a month or so of adjustments, the pain began to diminish greatly. I would say it took a month or two for the pain to subside. That's a short amount of time considering I'd been misusing and injuring my body for years. The pain is a distant memory now. It's life changing not to have to deal with back pain or, at the very least, know that I can seek relief through adjustments. My 13 yr. old has also started going with me occasionally. She has been dancing and doing acrobatics for a couple of years. She experiences soreness/minor pains at times. Dr. Stubbs takes the time to explain where the pain is coming from and exercises or other methods to prevent serious injury. Since she is planning to continue dancing for years, I am so glad she is keeping her body healthy with adjustments. She is gaining awareness and knowledge of how to listen to her body and what she needs to do to prevent avoidable injuries. I also got back into pilates recently. My experience with pilates prior and post chiropractic care have totally encouraged me to continue with Dr. Stubbs. When my body is out of alignment, I find I have to compensate to do a pilates move properly. The difference is night and day. Prior to chiropractic care, there were even certain moves I simply wasn't able to do without lower back pain so I had to avoid them. That is just not the case now.
