Really attentive, I have never had a chiropractor as through or understand as much as Dr. Hausman. I have had some recent bad experiences trying to find a new chiropractor and I am beyond thankful that I waited a little while to see Dr. Hausman. There is a reason he has a waiting list and he is worth the wait. He takes all of your information into consideration and does not make you feel like a dumb, overly cautious person. His office is laid back and Meg, gosh what and incredible office manager. Unless you think anyone touching you is off limits or being genuinely concerned about your health is weird, I am not sure how anyone could go wrong with Dr. Hausman. If you are trained to expect a 5 second adjustment with no real thought behind the treatment and you like it that way then this is not the provider for you, Dr. Hausman is going to get the real source of the pain. His goal is not to see you a million times so that he can bill you, his goal is to get you well so that he sees you once a month for a maintenance adjustment. I've been going to Dr. Rob's practice since April and I'm very lucky to have found him. He's in the same plaza as my company, so it's a quick 30-second walk down the plaza for me to get to his place. I believe he has the best chiropractic practice in Austin and here's why: 1. Going to his office isn't an all-day affair. The other offices I've been to like to give you 2-hours of unnecessary treatments JUST so they can bill for the extra treatments. He will target the treatment to just what you need and not take up valuable work-day time. I'm usually in and out in 15 minutes. 2. You can drop in unannounced for a quick adjustment and he will just about always take you unless he's really busy. 3. He has his own equipment!! He took a couple of x-rays on my first visit, so I didn't have to make another appointment and trip to an outside radiologist. 4. I'm seeing results very quickly! for the first week or two, Dr. Rob recommended that I come in a couple of times a week to correct the acute problem I was having. I started feeling better and have gone down to about one visit a week, sometimes one every two weeks as I need it. The other chiropractors I've been to want you to go 3 times a week for the first month?!?! Why? who has that kind of time and money? 5. He takes care of the insurance claims himself. Other chiropractors will force you to submit your claims (non-accident-related visits) yourself to your insurance company to get reimbursement. Not him. I have been to Dr. Hausman a few times and found the adjustments to be pretty good, especially when it comes to my neck. However, I was shocked to discover recently that for a 10-minute visit I had with him in June, he put in a claim to my insurance company for $225.00! He's out of network for my insurance, so they ONLY paid him $90. That, plus my $30 co-pay meant that he made $120 for my 10 minute visit. No wonder he only works 24 hours per week! This didn't affect my personal pocketbook directly, but it's not ok with me for anyone to gouge the insurance company; we all pay for this indirectly with our rates. I checked into the codes that Hausman submitted and one was for manual therapy (which would be some kind of massage, which didn't happen). The other two were for some kind of adjustment plus there was a separate charge for an office visit. I don't know if what he did is technically insurance fraud, but it sure as hell is unethical, in my book. read more

Dr Hausman is just lovely. Every year I get a chiro check since, you know, the spine is a pretty important part of that whole upright thing. Chiropracters can be a weird bunch but Dr. Hausman is a dude who knows his stuff and is also cool enough that you'd like to hang out with him and have some cocktails. It's incredibly simple to make an appointment, they're really good at figuring out how to use your insurance to its max effectiveness and they've got an in-house masseuse who is great too. I've been having back problems for a few years now. I always thought chiropractors were a sham and scared to have anyone mess with my back. I usually just have a Dr.s just prescribe meds and anti inflammatory and I'm usually out of commission for about two weeks when i throw out my back. But not anymore! I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Rob that same day, the office is warm and inviting, I called and the receptionist was supper sweet and took care of all the insurance stuff before I even got to the office. Filled out a form about where my pain was and was seen in minutes. So far I've had two sessions and a massage and my back pain has gone down a lot and this time i was only out of commission for a day before I notice vast improvements' with my lower back. can't wait to go back and get some more adjustments and massages. I started treatments with Dr. Hausman about a year ago and he has been extremely helpful in helping me deal with back pain that comes from being in an office environment. Roby is very thorough in his approach and has an excellent support staff. Everyone in the office is very friendly and inviting with each visit. What would I do without you??? All around, a top notch establishment that is worth every penny (and frankly, and then some). For the dets... The office is truly top notch and everyone who works there will greet you like family. They are all super efficient, flexible with dates (and rescheduling, thanks Katie!!), and will always crack a smile on your face if you're having a bad day. It is rare that you come across an establishment with such amazing customer service, but this place is just that. Katie is perhaps the most attentive and kindest individual you will come across. On multiple occasions she has been wonderful in rescheduling me last minute and fitting me in when my neck has been too horrible to bear. Small detail, but I love the fact that you get a text message reminder the day before your appointment as I'm always forgetful! They offer additional services such as massage therapy and acupuncture. Although I haven't tried the latter, the massage therapy may actually be covered by your insurance so it's a great deal for a 45 minute session (check with your insurance company, however I only pay $15 for each session with my insurance). Elisa does a fantastic job in catering to your needs and pains. I've had massages at other establishments before and nothing compares to her work. I would highly recommend her, although selfishly I don't want her schedule booked up so that I can see her more than once a week *muhahaha* Dr. Hausman is amazing in his work and someone you frankly want around all the time due to his positivity and sense of humor. He is extremely knowledgeable and manages to fix whatever pain you may have in a matter of seconds. I tend to tense up during our sessions because my neck can cause me a lot of pain, yet he manages to make it painless and easy to bear. And I'm feeling much better after my two visits. I liked the idea that, Dr. Hausman did not only concentrate on the affected area but did a whole body analysis to get an overall idea. I was nervous at first going in because I had just acquired a weird insurance and it is out of network with most doctors here in the south. When I came in, the receptionist, Katie, was more than helpful. I work in the front office of a dentist office, so I know how hectic things could be. She makes things look easy and was even willing to file my insurance. As for Dr. Hausman, he is very friendly, professional and cares about his patients! Within just 2 visits, he was able to give me adjustments in the Webster method that helped me feel relaxed and ready for labor. And, to my surprise at 39 weeks, my baby turned around, and I was able to have a perfect delivery! I'm only giving 4 stars because I've only been for one massage. BUT, it was possibly the best massage I've ever had! Glen was awesome. I purchased the Living Social deal because you can't go wrong with a massage, right? Anyway, I told Glen that my hips were super tight and I'd been trying to work them out through yoga, but it hadn't had much effect this time around. He really "got in there" into my hips and with some added stretching, my hips feel great! I didn't mention that I'd been having knee pain, but he was able to tell because my IT bands are tight as well. The massage was nurturing but also accomplished the goals that I had. I had to call in last minute due to my stupid upper back pain. I was crossing my fingers to make sure they can schedule me in last minute. Normally I see Mr. Hausman for my neck pain but this time it was my upper back. I couldn't tilt my head back & when I do that, I felt sharp pain down my spine. I never missed him soooo much & I have been thinking about him all day! I was thinking about him more than my boyfriend! (sorry hun) Because I knew Mr. Hausman can fix this pain & make my back and neck pain disappear! I called him around 3:45pm & they scheduled me to come in at 4:45pm! Well, even he was booked, I was willing to wait for him anyway. Walked him, his magic touch, many bone popping sounds, grunt noises (those are from me... So let me start by saying I absolutely recommend Dr. Hausman and his practice . This clinic is awesome ! I started going here in the summer after dealing with a lot of pain in my shoulders and neck specifically. I'm a very athletic person and I do a lot of yoga so I knew I needed to go to a chiropractor to get my body balanced in an even deeper level. Dr. Hausman is wonderful. He is so friendly and warm that I looked forward to going to my chiropractor appointments. During my first appointment he took several x-rays of my spine to get a great picture of what was going on. I have scoliosis so it was very useful that he got these images. After that he went over and explain to me how things worked and what he could do about them. He is very gentle and made the adjustments as comfortable as possible to a point where I never felt nervous. The office staff was very kind. I always felt appreciated. They also give a great discount to students which is wonderful since me and my boyfriend are students. Unfortunately, I don't live in Austin yet so I have to wait to see him again until the summer. However it was so wonderful that the clinic even sent my x-rays to my new chiropractor here in Jacksonville Florida while I'm away so that I wouldn't need to get new x-rays done. We love Dr. Hausman!! Both my son of 6 years old and I see him on a regular basis for maintenance adjustments. I started seeing him when I had a herniated disc, I was in so much pain, I could barely walk. He took his time with me and was gentle and truly aware of my needs during that time of my condition.
