My only experience prior with chiro has been a chain that sells weird packages and just bends and snaps ya and sends you on your way. THIS is a totally different experience altogether. The amount of care I receive during each visit is beyond words. Their massage and passive stretch therapist Nick is hands down the BEST massage therapist I've ever encountered. I have gone to get so many "deep tissue" massages only to leave feeling let down. NOT the case here. I felt like a brand new person after this stretch/massage session and I cannot wait to go back. The chiro experience here is altogether different as well. Dr Harrington truly approaches things from the holistic view and takes all factors into account including my physical therapy, orthopedic doc, etc. I can't recommend this place enough! read more

For years now (and getting worse) I've been benched from sciatica. I've gotten steroid injections every six months for years. Steroids provided temporary relief but at the cost of only masking the pain. In one visit to Dr Tim 70% of the worst pain disappeared! The guy was awesome and made me feel better, The receptionist or whatever told me they were going to accept my insurance, but by the time I got there, no longer the case. I'm already in severe pain so I suck it up and do the session. He says he's going to give me an ice pack. When I get to the register, it's now another 19 dollars. They wanted me to go across the hall and get X-rays and promised that this time they really would take my insurance. I walked out of the building thinking fuck this shady bullshit. read more

Dr. Harrington is a great chiropractor and is really talented- thus the 2 stars. However... The billing practices in his office are kinda... shady. The first time I went to him, on a recommendation, I was told my insurance would 100% cover a certain number of treatments per year. After six treatments, I was told there was a billing error and that I owed additional money. Oh well. Mistakes happen. Then, the same thing happened to a friend that I referred. Then, the same thing happened to the friend who originally referred me. And another friend. So, I stopped going for treatments. Recently, after an old injury came back with a vengeance, I decided to give them another shot. I gave them my insurance information, waited in the office for over 30 minutes while it was verified, received a treatment, and was told when I was leaving that my insurance covered the treatments 100% to a certain number of treatments. After a fifth treatment, on my way out of the office, Dr. Lander stopped me to tell me they had stopped accepting my insurance before my first treatment. When I told her that I had been told that my insurance was accepted, she told me that they would just change my charges to the cash price, which moved the total for each visit from $40 to $60 dollars (I now would owe an extra $100). After a few minutes, she said she would try to submit it to my insurance any way, but really didn't like to do that. I got a call later from the receptionist stating that she had made a mistake and would check to see if they would give me the $40/session rate so I wouldn't owe additional money for the treatments I had already received, but that it wouldn't be covered going forward. Well, today I just got a statement that my account is 90 days past due, the insurance won't cover it "because of my deductible", and I owe the full price for the treatments (ranging from $50 to $100). My total due is now $221.66. This is after the $200 I've already paid for the 5 treatments. So, this is all a bit too shady. I feel sort of taken for a ride. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. This has happened to me twice and three of my friends. If you do go to Dr. Harrington, just get financial agreements worked out and in writing before your first treatment. read more

A friend of mine suggested Dr. Harrington at Barton Creek Chiropractic when I was having hip pain while training for the Austin half marathon. I was skeptical but I was willing to try anything. I was able to get an appointment the same day so that was the first +1. Dr. Harrington explained the steps to me and I will admit I raised an eyebrow when he had me do some resistance moves to tell him how out of alignment I was. But he fixed me! Now I'm a monthly regular to stay in peak performance mode. I have also had the opportunity to see Dr. Landers on one occasion and it was equally pleasant. The biggest benefit for being a regular at Barton Creek is the new awareness of my body. I know when something isn't right or if I need to hold off on my training for a day or two. I highly recommend the practice and I'm happy to be a regular patient. read more

I had my appointment scheduled for today and I spoke with the doctor the day before about it. I was ready to have this session because I've been having pain in my neck. Then I received a call an hour before my appointment from someone named Leonora (she left a message) stating she wanted to go over my appointment with me. I call her back and right away she comes off insensitive wanting to know right away why I was coming to the chiropractor? I begin explaining what's going on and she's ask me have you had this before? I asked what she was talking about and she said the issue with my neck, I said yes? She then goes on about how her and Dr. Harrington are going on vacation for two weeks and they would prefer not to see patients before then. Next she said do you think you can wait until we get back from vacation. By this time I am confused. First off why you would call me an hour before my appointment to cancel and two why their appointments are open if they don't want to take patients on the day I booked my appointment. I booked my appointment last week. I then decided to cancel my appointment verbally with her on the phone because I didn't appreciate how she called me to cancel my appointment 1 hour before my appointment. I was looking forward to this appointment to help with my pain management and I also rearranged my schedule to make it to this appointment. Leonora called me back about 10 minutes later to apologize for her overstepping the Doctor decision, and she would like for me to keep my appointment(mind you this is now 30 minutes before my appointment) I told her I would not be coming to that appointment after all and disconnected the call. I'm pretty upset they wasted my time like that, I really needed to see a chiropractor for pain management but I will not go to such a practice that would not value there patients time because they are going on vacation for two weeks. I would not recommend this practice. read more

They seemed way more excited that my insurance allowed 52 visits a year, and keeping me on a plan to constantly spend my HSA money there, than fixing my back issues. I've been to many, many places to try and help my herniated discs (chiropractics, acupuncture, pilates, personal training, physical therapy, etc.) over the years. I've never felt the need to write a review about any of them. But this place was all about money and weird gadgets that didn't help one bit. read more

I've visited BC Chiro for two purposes. My first reason was for my elbow. I left his office feeling as good as new. He fixed the tendonitis in just a few visits, after the 1st visit, the incredible pain I had experienced was gone and my range of motion was dramatically improved. I went back twice more and was back to normal. I had suffered with that tendonitis for over a year thinking it would improve before visiting. The second reason was for an injured ribcage (from coughing!!) and the pain was intense. Couldn't breathe or move well without pain. I was having numbness in my finger tips on my left hand. They helped me get back to full function by correcting my discs and cervical spine. The decompression unit and water table were great. One thing that sets this group apart is that he adjusts only the area of importance, so he isn't just cracking everything like I'm told some people do.
