My experience at Two Hands Chiropractic was simply phenomenal. Not only is Dr. Gravely an amazing doctor that knows how to relieve different types of pain throughout the human body, the dude is an absolute badass. Ever since high school, my jaw had been so out of place due to me getting knocked out in a boxing match. Why I decided to challenge a guy twice my size? Not sure, but definitely paid the consequence. For years, my jaw would always pop really loud and annoy everyone around me. The pain was unbearable. In fact, I wasn't able to chew gum because my jaw would crack so loud and piss everyone off. I've been going to many chiropractors throughout the years and not one has been able to cure my jaw. I thought all hope was lost. Not too long ago, a buddy of mine introduced me to this really tall curly headed man named Dr. Gravely and said he might be able to help me out. I've been to a lot of Chiropractors across Detroit, NYC, SF / Silicon Valley, and Seattle, and by far Dr. Gravely is the best!! There's a reason why MMA fighters go to see him! His equipment is top-notch and he takes real-time digital x-rays of your spine to ensure he's making the right adjustments (not all chiropractors take x-rays unfortunately). Also, he's a big man that's extremely skilled, gifted, and precise. I feel like his stature allows him to have good leverage and this coupled with his precision ensures a perfect adjustment each time. All of my former practitioners would miss certain adjustments from time to time as my body is pretty tense and stubborn and would leave me feeling a bit unfulfilled and stiff in those spots. Not the case with Dr. Gravely - he gets every single one of my adjustments 100% of the time. He also recommended some great sleeping pillows that helped my neck and exercises to help me with my TMJ. Dr. Gravely is a fantastic Chiropractor and on multiple occasions, he has got me literally back on my feet. When you walk in his office, it is always clean, smells nice and has a friendly staff. I have been seeing him once or twice a week for the last couple months while nursing some back issues and he has me feeling like I am back in the game. Randomly met Dr. Gravely and he gave me his card if I ever needed a chiropractor. Never felt like I needed one as I haven't had any back/neck pain, but I know people who do, never bad to know somebody. Two weeks later I was involved in a fairly serious scooter accident when I was struck by a construction fence. Good thing I knew a good chiropractor! I called and got an appointment and have been pleasantly surprised by my treatment. As I said I've never needed a chiro and didn't really know what one could do for me. Postpartum & post labor & delivery update! This is my favorite chiropractor EVER. Dr. G helped me so much with my tight lower back while I was pregnant, and I saw him weekly for all of my third trimester. When it came to labor, I was able to have an intervention free delivery without any complications (read: no epidural, y'all!), and I know that having regular chiro work helped my body be ready for to bring baby into this world without any additional medical support. My first postpartum visit felt soooo good. Pregnancy and labor does quite a number on your body, and that first post-pregnancy adjustment felt amazing. On top of that, I brought in my 3 week old baby for an adjustment, and it was the most gentle thing for his little body. Babies go through a lot getting into this world, and my baby had slight torticollis, and Dr. Gravely's gentle adjustment was just the thing he needed. Plus, his lovely admin, Hermione, held my baby while I got adjusted, and it's so nice to know that there's a place I can bring my baby where he'll be held and loved while I get care too. Dr. Gravely is a phenomenal chiropractor. He genuinely cares cares for his patients and goes above and beyond to take care of them. He's been my son's chiropractor since he was a newborn. He resolved my son's severe torticollis in 2 visits. TWO VISITS. ***Mind blown.*** My son now looks left and right beautifully (instead of to just one side). My story: After the birth of my son, my body was majorly screwed. My back hurt so much it couldn't even support itself by midday. Sitting, standing, it didn't matter. I'd have to lay horizontal. I have double scoliosis, kyphosis, slipped/herniated disks, etc. and after the birth of my son, I developed De Quervain's tenosynovitis (nicknamed "mommy's thumb"). My De Quervain's tenosynovitis in my wrists/thumbs was so bad that I couldn't even pick him up. One visit and I was back to picking him up. Again, ***Mind blown!*** Dr. Gravely makes it possible for me to live life like a normal human being and do the things I love, but more importantly, he keeps my body functioning so that I can take care of my son.
