I initially heard about this office on google when searching for an orthodontist for my son. They conveniently offer scheduling a new consult via their website. Scheduling was very simple and I thought we were done. Within one hour of scheduling a few weeks ago, I received a text message and 3 missed phone calls from their office. This was a huge turn off as a new patient. I was in a phone meeting At the time so it was very frustrating that they kept calling in such a short amount of time as well as texting. I did call and spoke with their office manager and expressed my frustration at being contacted so many times within such a short time frame. Their office manager stated it was because they needed to reschedule my appointment. At that time I decided not to reschedule and take some time to think. A few weeks later ( today) I decided that maybe it was a one time issue. Sometimes things happen and there is a need to call a patient and reschedule. Unfortunately the same issue happened again today. Within a short time of scheduling online, I was emailed and told they needed to reschedule my appointment. At this point I truly feel that management and the orthodontist need to have a sit down and revamp their online scheduling system or just figure out what is going on. When you have a new patient, you typically want your first interaction to be great. You don't want to have to contact them right away and reschedule. You want things to go smoothly and make a good impression. I had not one but two disappointing experiences with this practice before ever walking in the door and it is at this point that I realize this will not be the office that I want my son going to.

I just turned 27 so traditional braces were absolutely not (purely for vanity reasons) an option for me. The consultation was extremely thorough, his staff extremely helpful and friendly. I wanted to get a second opinion on their recommended patient plan so I had them speak to a family friend who was also my hometown dentist. Dr. Tisseront was more than happy to take the time to call my friend after office hours and spend more than an hour explaining his recommendation. I have been wearing harmony braces (hidden behind your teeth) for three months now and everyone is amazed at how quickly my teeth have moved. I already have a beautiful smile! When all is said and done I will have spent upwards of 10K (they have a very reasonable payment plan) but I don't think I would trust anyone else with my teeth at this point and feel like this was a truly an investment well made.

I had called around 6 months ago to schedule a consultation for my 9 year old who will definitely need braces. Our appointment was scheduled at 9:45, so trying to be courteous of the fact that he was a new patient and needed time to fill out paperwork, we arrived early. Apparently with this office you have to wait outside and then they will call you in. After it was past his appointment time I called their office. The woman who answered the phone stated that they made a mistake and "texted the wrong patient." So the text they sent us was not for us and I guess we didn't have an appointment that day . The text specifically said my sons name and the fact that this wasn't caught ahead of time was disappointing. The worst part about the whole visit was the woman who works at the front desk, she was awful. One issue is they either need to change the batteries in their thermometer or buy a new one. She came out of the office and while we were talking about what can be done since we are already there, she took my temperature and told me I was running a fever of 102 and "needed to calm down for a minute ". This was not only false but not at all appropriate to say to a patient. She then ran back in the office and came back out and took my temperature and said okay it looks like you calmed down and told me my temp was 94.6 which I don't think she realized is also inaccurate. She kept referring to me by my first name without even asking if it's okay. She kept putting an emphasis on my first name like I was a child being scolded. Super disrespectful. She mentioned that they didn't take our insurance which would have been nice to know ahead of our visit . I think with ortho it's pretty typical to pay some amount out of pocket but she didn't even talk about that option with us . I do see why patients like this practice though. It is very clean and updated on the inside and Dr Kim was extremely nice and had great bedside manner. Their assistant was also very nice. We have chosen another practice that also does not accept our insurance but the difference is that their customer service is fantastic.

I got a comprehensive scan, spoke to the orthodontist, and had all my financing options explained clearly to me on my first visit. After making the decision to move forward, I encountered a ton of issues with my HSA account wherein I couldn't use any of the money in my account until they sent a new card. Not wanting to push my scheduled treatment, I called and spoke to Tish at NOVA and she could not shown more excellent care. She said it was no trouble at all, pushed the due date on the down payment so that it wouldn't be automatically charged to my credit card, and explained what the next steps would be. The support I've already received on these issues alone gives me great comfort; if the rest of my care is as excellent as these two weeks have been, I'll be spending the rest of my life recommending NOVA Ortho to anyone that compliments my smile.

I trusted NVO Orthodontics and Dr. Itani with my smile, and it was one of the biggest mistakes I've made. They completed my treatment even though my lower teeth were still crooked and my upper front teeth were still protruding. Anyone could clearly see that the treatment was not finished properly. I repeatedly expressed that I was unhappy with the results, but my concerns were not taken seriously. Instead of working with me to achieve the outcome I had paid for, they simply ended my treatment. I left the office feeling disappointed, frustrated, and hopeless. Orthodontic treatment is a significant investment of both time and money, and patients deserve to have their concerns heard and addressed--not dismissed.
