    Duck

We visited here on a busy Friday night and had a very good overall experience. This restaurant is pretty unique and offers various food selections from Portugal and its former colonies. We ended up ordering the duck and codfish and were able to pick a side dish to accompany each. Because the dishes are very complex and feature many different flavors, it was a bit difficult choosing a side, but our waitress helped us by recommending good pairings. We enjoyed the food as it felt very high quality and different than many other places we tried in Lisbon. One of our favorites was the sweet potato puree which was super fresh and perfectly balanced the saltiness of the main dish. We ended the night with some caramelized banana cake (unfortunately they ran out of the cheesecake, so we couldn't try that) which was divine and perfect for sharing. Overall, this restaurant was definitely a bit pricier than other options in the area, but I would still give it a shot for a nicer night out.

This place was amazing! It was near my hotel and I wanted to try portugués food in a neighborhood and not touristy area and I wish I had gone the first night and not my last because I would have gone multiple times. It is small and cute and I was the only not Portuguese person in there which was a good sign. I asked the owner to pick what to feed me and she delivered one of the best meals of my life and I have traveled all over the world. The spectacular meal was some type of pork so tender and flavorful and masked cassava. The dessert cake was also delicious and the starter with sheep cheese was tasty as well. The only thing I didn't love was my drink. Gin and ginjinha. I was expecting a cherry vibe but it tasted like a melted orange otter pop from my childhood. It might have just been a difference in taste! You should absolutely go! It was crowded on a Friday night and people seemed to have reservations and I lucked out and got a small table by going to dinner early like 8:30.

The food was amazing and representative if global Portuguese history and great ambiance. I walked in with no reservations (HIGHLY recommended), but they squeezed me in and delivered an amazing experience. I sampled different dishes representing different parts of the world and all were amazing. I am definitely coming back next time I am in town!

You can make a reservation on their website linked here on Yelp. They speak English and the menu has English as well. They serve their food as a shareable for the whole table instead of one dish per person. So don't worry about having to order one dish per person! They will give you recommendations. For us 6 people, we ordered two steaks from the grill plus the Bife Olivier (OMG the Olivier sauce was the best! We dipped everything in it!). All the meat were cooked perfectly as we asked for and not salted. They come with salt and sauce on the side so if you have someone watching their salt intake, it will be perfect. The meat without any seasoning was still amazing! We did one appetizer which was the octopus. Seafood in Lisbon has been amazing and the octopus here too was very soft and well seasoned. Same with their side dishes. Two were enough for us. Love their truffle mashed potatoes. You'd love it if you like truffles. The flavor was so strong! You can ask for wine pairing as well. A great place to visit to celebrate an occasion, date night or just for some good quality steak.

Food quality was top notch. We got a shared plate of Mixed Grill and all the meat was fantastic. Ribs, lamb, prawns, steak were all incredibly juicy and flavorful. The broccoli puree was amazing! I think even those that don't like broccoli loved it. Salad was tasty and very green and fresh. Ambiance: Top notch. Very elegant, reminded me of a nice restaurant in Vegas with the large bar and dark, romantic decor. The chairs were also lush and comfortable. Staff: Very accommodating to American's and very friendly. He made wine recommendations that didn't break the bank, which I appreciated. While the price seems high for individual dishes, we found the shared plate to be incredibly affordable and perhaps the reason for so many groups. Location is also nice, I was really happy with our choice to come here.

The atmosphere seems very high end but the place is filled with couples, pals and families. Inside is very sophisticated and modern. The front door is pretty cool but tricky. So be aware if you don't see a handle you need to push. The service is super helpful if you don't speak Portuguese and they will make sure to direct you to the right area for you on the manu. My friend and I shared steak platter with beans and salad. The food was amazing and fresh. I usually don't eat red meat, but we both were super hungry and decided to share the platter with beer and more beer!!! I looked around the room and their pizzas also looked amazing. You can tell by that fresh pizza with bobbly cheese and meat that it will be a religious experience eating it. Most def coming back once I visit Lisbon again soon and try other delicious things on the manu.
