Came here just to give Tony "The Tiger" props! Not the Frosted Flakes guy, this guy is way more grrreat. I went in today to personal shop for someone on DoorDash, and I was truly lost. It was my first time being in there, and it was overwhelming! I managed to find a few things myself, but truly Tony helped me find quite a few things that I may have given up on. I saw him helping other guests too, in between our run-ins. Overall, this was a fantastic first time experience. It said on yelp and google that Restaurant Depot is open until 6:00pm on Sunday. Not true, that close at 3:00pm on Sunday. We arrived just before 3:00 so they let us in. Many people were showing up after 3:00 and they told them them were closed and they have to update their hours for the internet. Needles to say these people that drove there, were not happy. We only went in for one item and we were in line for 30 minutes to check out. Tip: Don't go at closing time on Sunday. read more

On their huge walk in cooler you will find anything from vegetables, fresh meat, and fresh fish! You will find a great assortment but sometimes a little messy! They are open Monday to Friday from 6AM m to 6PM And on Sundays they open from 9AM to Make sure to come early or expect huge lines, thats one of their big problems, the space they left by the cashiers are really close to the huge shelves they have, so it makes a little uncomfortable for you to get on the line! But definitely this store is alot better than the one on Copans! They have some specials on different items, and they are always on top of seasonal items, right now they have Stone Crabs! The store is well stocked and organized. You can get anything related to food and restaurants here. I haven't had the chance to walk down all the isles, but I did spend a good deal of time in their meat/seafood section. First of all, that place is huge and extremely cold! You can borrow one of their jackets before walking into the cooler. A very large selection of different cut of meat and seafood. On this visit I went straight for the stone crabs. I have not had them for a while and forgot how expensive they can be. I ended up purchasing about 4 lbs and I think its worth it. You'll pay a lot more for them in places like Joe's Stone Crabs. Now the only thing I am not too thrill about is their check out counters. The concept of prompt service and get you in and out of the store seemed totally out of the question. The average time to wait in line is about 30min plus for me. And even with the long lines, they would not try to speed things up by opening another check register. If I am in the restaurant business, I'd go out of business while wait in one of those lines! Otherwise, they'd have receive 4.5 stars which would round them up to 5 stars! read more

I've been here several times. Each time is an adventure that is better than going to Costco. I enjoy looking at items in every isle. The imported San marzano tomatoes are excellent. Their canolli shells are wonderful for parties. Their seldction of kitchen utensils, pots and pans is unique. The best part of all is putting on the jacket and going into the refrigerated meat/seafood section. They always have specials on beef and shellfish. However, you could purchase some items in smaller quantities. The workers were pretty helpful with answering questions, making sure that you were ok, and helping you unload your cart to your car. I have a love- hate relationship with this store. Although I am glad to have it close by- it makes shopping for my catering business very easy- the store itself can sometimes be very difficult and frustrating to maneuver through. No matter what time of day I am there, pallets are still stacked up in the middle of aisles and staff are constantly and dangerously whizzing around removing pallets from above and trying to stock. Between that and customers attempting to shop, it can be very frustrating. Don't get me wrong, the store is terrific, I just wish the staff was more courteous and allowed shoppers the right of way instead of acting as if we are in their way. The move to this larger location definitely has improved the parking situation and the selection. Check out team is fast just there are not enough of them. Anticipate a wait at the check outs consistently. Their strength is fresh fish (in my humble opinion). All the warehouse stores have 100 lb. lasagnas, but at Rest. Depot you can count on fish that was swimming only hours ago. I've been buying meat from Restaurant Depot for quite some time now, especially since they have a decent selection of halal meats. I just cooked up some chicken breast and it had an odd, tough, chewy texture. I was turned off and couldn't eat it. Turns out the chicken had what's called "woody-breast syndrome". The manufacturer is Koch Foods. I tried to make an inquiry about it but I was met with a lot resistance and no answers. I would stay away from the chicken prepared by Koch Foods. read more

I don't know what happened to this place but it's management has hired a crew of the rudest and laziest people on earth that don't deserve a job! First they ignore you while talking on the phone at the front desk when you go in having a private conversation. Then get annoyed by your asking for help. So then I go to get some produce and am rudely directed to aisle 1, I still can't find what I need so ask again and lady says "it's right there right in front of your face don't you know what kale looks like"! Then a pregnant cashier who should be on maternity leave asking me to hold the cases so she can scan easily without lifting a finger and bitching that the case drips water on the floor how dare I because she is pregnant and could slip.
