The wife sent me the weekly shopping list to my phone and drove to the SouthWest Ranches Publix which borders Davie. Simple parking directly in front of the Publix and noticed a large Curbside Pick Up lane at the front of the store, which seems like an option for the elderly, but It's not for me. I enjoy picking out the exact fruits and veggies that I desire. Began loading up my cart with the foods from the list. Spoke with the pharmacist who went out of his way to locate a non-narcotic option from one of the shelves. This Publix was well stocked and had every item on my list and noticed the staff fronting all the canned goods which makes identifying the item easier without reaching all the way to the rear of the shelf. The customer service desk employees worked quickly to cash in my FL Lotto tickets and to purchase new ones. Easy shopping experience with friendly staff, will return. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I am the victim of bias/ prejudice. I take this very seriously. I went to my cashier Yanelis because she only had 1 person in front of me who had a small amount of items to purchase, so I thought I would be out very quickly... boy was I wrong. So Yanelis was talking with the customer for a long time about personal stuff just ignoring me not respecting my time. Her attitude also made the customer complete her transaction in a slow manner as well to further slow me down and disrespect me. When it was my turn to get rung up Yanelis went mute I felt she had something against me personally and she did not say hello nor goodbye, she even kept on talking with the customer as she was ringing me up. How rude! No customer service skills whatsoever. Showing respect and favor to one customer over the other. I was made to feel extremely unwelcome. Imagine being a cashier talking to another customer or even co worker for that matter and totally ignoring the customer you are supposed to pay attention to and assist. Wrong on all levels, Publix you need to do better and equally value all your customers especially since you are an employee owned company. I guess do not shop here unless you are on their good side and they favor you. read more

I don't think I've ever ordered a pub sub and gotten it the way I ask EVER at this location. It's almost as though they put the exact opposite ingredients I ask for whenever I order online. Whenever I order in person (which I have to reserve like 30 minutes to do), they take the longest time and are rude for no reason whatsoever. read more

Not sure why, but this Publix must purposely be avoiding cleaning or fixing the mens bathroom. I was here a week prior and the bathroom looked the same. This Publix is conveniently located in the Costco plaza. It's good for along in for anything that you don't want to buy in bulk , like lemons or garlic. Parking can be hard to find as this is a busy plaza but if you are willing to walk, you can usually get a space. The store is clean and well organized. The bakery manager is the nicest! She always says hi and asks if I need any help. Most of the time, in just looking at all of the things I can't eat! I do like their arepas, empanadas and cannoli. I have been shopping here since it first opened about 20 years ago and I really love it. The store is clean, spacious, well organized and employees are generally helpful. What prompted me to write this review was a same day 8" round Christmas cake order that I ordered this past Saturday. I ordered it around 8 am and it was ready for pickup by 3 pm. The cake was decorated SO nicely with my generic instructions of "Christmas decorations with flowers". My family and I were very impressed! And as always, the cake tasted great. Located in the Cinemark Paradise 24 plaza in Davie/Pembroke Pines, this is one of the largest Publix stores in Broward County. What's different about this one? It's the spacious open area where Produce, Deli, and the bakery sit--way larger than the rest. Although I don't shop exclusively at Publix, I recognize that they are consistent in providing the finest quality products, as well as service. This has to be my favorite Publix in the area. The staff here goes above and beyond to help you find products, and if they don't have it in stock, they will be more than happy to order it for you. The deli hot case always looks fresh and appealing, unlike some of the other Publix stores I've visited. The cashiers always very friendly. This Publix really does their motto proud.. From the manager and assistant manager and the tech support team, we get fast and reliable help every time we go there. We are older and have more need for the professional help we get from them all the time and always with a smile. A wonderful place to get groceries in the Pembroke Pines area. We needed groceries and supplies and decided to stop at this Publix. It is right off the road, has plenty of parking and easy access. The area is clean both inside and out. The staff was friendly and helpful. The shelves were neat, tidy and well marked. We found and bought what we needed. I've been coming to this Publix for 13 years now and every year they seem to be getting worse and worse. The workers are cordial but the service lacks consistency and knowledge of the task at hand. The bread department is almost never ready with "our daily bread" haha and the sizes vary depending on "how its baked" according to the baker. Then I said to him, "if the size is smaller, shouldn't the price be less?" He didn't have an answer. I honestly think it's not his fault. The fault lies with management. I've voiced my opinion as a loyal customer to no avail. I still frequent this Publix because it closer to my house than the one in Weston. Which by the way have their Sht together as far as service. But if you decide to to go to the one in Weston be prepared to pay 10 to 25 cents more for your items. Gave this Publix a 2 star because although the service is sub par The workers are nice. Dear Publix, You are actually my parent's Publix, so I usually stop by here when heading to see the fam. :) You are a nice, big store, with a nice variety of organic items. There's a rather large floral section with anything from cut flowers to living plants, and more. It's perfect for picking up a little something on the way! The bakery and deli have super sweet staff, who are helpful and efficient. Whether it's a cake or a sandwich, I can always get what I need quickly. A great thing about this Publix is that it's right next to my fav movie theater. Absolutely love this Publix location!!! We recently relocated here from St. Pete due to a military transfer. This location is my preferred store. It's always clean. The staff has always been happy, friendly, eager to help. So welcoming always. Today, I was even more impressed by the manager Brent who went above and beyond to get me an out of stock Pecan Pie from another location, and timely for Thanksgiving. I've been frequenting this particular Publix now for 10 years. The Deli department always fell short on customer service and have gotten worse throughout the years. But today, I finally got the courage to write about my discontent. Due to the challenging times (COVID19) we should be putting things in perspective regarding customer service. Today I went to this Publix and ordered some cold cuts. When the young lady showed me the slice I reached out to get it but she pulled back and told me she was not allowed. When I asked why, she said that we shouldn't have contact with people because of the pandemic we are going through. "I get it". But why are they so worried about getting sick themselves when they are cutting customers cheeses and meats while having unnecessary conversations with their fellow workers about their schedules. Four inches away from peoples unprotected and exposed cold cuts. Oh, did I mention none of the employees handling the food had protective masks on? And for the counter lady who's response was "Don't worry, we are all getting tested soon." WOW!!!!! Totally insensitive to my concerns. read more

I have to say the Deli ladies are so rude at this store I would rather buy packaged lunch meat before I ask them to do a little work and cut some meat for me. You would think you just asked them to swim across the Atlantic Ocean and back. Just finished a Publix sub, Philly, for lunch. Ladies working the deli and sub counter could not be any better!!! The sub was great and as soon as the line started to get long, 2 more workers came to make subs, fast service is always great. Also I hope publix adds more eating areas to their stores, I've been to many and so far Miami Shores and this one on Sheridan and Dykes are the only ones to sit and enjoy your sub at a table!!! read more

This Publix is the closest Publix near my house. I hate it. I give it two stars only because it is clean. I go to get a sub or get some cold cuts and I feel like I'd rather be at the dentist. I have seen the employees look at each other waiting for the other person to drop what they are doing to help the costumer. I always wondered how the Subway around the corner stayed in business when Publix subs are superior. I now wonder how this Publix sells anything out of this store. Let me start off by saying that I really have to applaud the workers at Publix for being genuinely caring and helpful who have to deal with irrational people and bad situations. Yesterday, I came in and had to do a money transfer with Western Union because I almost forgot to pay my credit card bill. The first girl Glendy, who helped me, was very sweet and cashed my loose change and then referred me to the other lady for the Western Union. I had to wait in line for about 20 minutes because the guy she was working with was getting mad at her because he failed to do something on his end. To make matters worse, a random woman interjects and complains about a sandwich she ordered wasn't made on time and she was legitimately harassing the poor worker. I almost had to step in, if it was not for my cousin who reminded me to let it go. By the the time I had reached the register the clerk was still positive and still willing to work after receiving verbal abuse. I appreciate that she was willing to take her time with me after I almost had a potentially embarrassing situation by not having enough money. Luckily I did and I have to say I would come back again because I received excellent service. Lesson learned to pay my bills on time to avoid the fees of a money transfer, but should I ever have to again, I would go through Publix again. read more

I'm writing this review as I am currently exiting publix and I am utterly flabbergasted at the service that was provided (or should I say not provided). This is the first time I have written a review and it will most likely, hopefully, be my last. I'm not one to criticize or anything but damn, this service was pretty horrible. I was in the grocery store for about 10 minutes before I was fed up with the people who worked in deli section. I mean maybe there was nice and patient workers in the deli side but I only met with three workers and I couldn't even get what I wanted. I USE to usually order a chicken tender sub at least once every 2 weeks. But you know I was just strolling, walking to go get my sub and there he was. Mathias. And every time I go get ham or make a sub he is always there. Always has the same lazy attitude but I try not to let it get to me. I'm a kind guy you know, I respect that you work a lot man and maybe you get tired but good grief. Mathias can barely speak English and never understands what I try to tell him but that is besides the point because I speak Spanish as well. I was already prepared for the patience I had to have when trying to order. But I was in a bit of a rush trying to get back home. So I told him you know I'm just gonna have a chicken tender on white bread. And he was getting the chicken and poorly cut it then put it in the bread but I just told myself you know what it doesn't matter it is gonna be the same going in my stomach so what ever I didn't say anything. But as he was putting the chicken in the bread he just toasted it when I don't like it toasted. So I just walked away and I am currently famished so I demand Publix to give me a free sub. And hopefully they put Mathias in the back moving boxes or something cause if I see him again making my sandwich I will have to go in there and make it myself no questions asked.
