This is a supermarket that is a pleasure to walk through. I feel at peace and relaxed and not in a rush like at bigger markets. Everything is so neat and organized. I really like the selection of fruits and vegetables. Everything is so fresh. They also have some unique finds in the freezer. This includes lots of organic choices. I bought some purple sweet potato fries and cauliflower Italian bread. Should be interesting to try. Nutrition Smart had a lot of natural cleaners which is great. I bought a couple. They don't sell anything with harsh chemicals. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is a delight to shop here. I will definitely be back. read more

I recently came here during my last day in Miami to check out the selection that was featured here. This health food store featured a plethora of great food, snacks, vitamins, and supplements and supplements namely to cater to what you need. They had a great clearance section in the back as well where I picked up a few bargains. The shelves were very well stocked and organized and a featured nearly everything that I was looking for. The price is here are more expensive than other health food stores that I'm accustomed to. Check out lines move by pretty quickly but overall I left satisfied. read more

This health store is like a Vitamin Shoppe and Fresh Market on steroids. Huge assortment of fresh organic granola at various prices per pound. The Blueberry Flax Granola sounded scrumptious at $5.79 per pound, which will be the perfect complement to my blueberry yogurt. Love the self-service concept which also included coffee and spices. This is a long overdue review. I stopped in to pick up a supplement. I had been to their old location but have never been here. It's very clean inside and the employees are very helpful. While walking around, I had 2 people ask me if I needed help. I was trying to find my items by myself, but finally gave in and asked for help. The guy helping me told me where it was and instead of just pointing me in the general direction, actually walked me over to the product I needed. My daughter loves coming here from time to time just to see what new vegan finds are here since sometimes they sell things she happens to find only here. We finally were able to get the three trees sesame milk since it was finally back in stock. We also picked up their pistachio milk as well. We walked aisle by aisle, since at this store, it is the only way to not miss any new things. She finds something new every time. We saw vegan tuna and vegan calamari. When I had made tuna casserole she joked around with me saying I should try the vegan one. (Lol, not doing that hunny) The funny thing is, even the vegan wouldn't eat it since she didn't even like tuna as a non-vegan. Once we had our loot of goods, we went to the cash register. The only ding is that they always have only one lane open and it sometimes takes a bit to get checked out. They either need to hire someone or train another employee so that the one cashier doesn't have so many customers to get through. Really like this store for all my vitamins and vegan foods. Today I went out to buy Charcoal ,kelp, vitamin c, Ox-bile and deodorant . The store clerk was very knowledgeable and helpful . Store is clean and organized workers are wearing mask and at the counter there is hand sanitizer. As you enter the store you first see produce to the right and to the far left there is the skin care items and vitamins. In between the store there are the food items. At this store you can also buy wines and frozen food as well as dry nuts, grains and you kind of self dispense.The sales people are very nice and helpful at the check out. The canary virus has caused Trader Joes to constantly have 60 minute social distancing lines to enter the store and Wholefoods has just recently followed suit. Although I've yet to encounter these lines at WholeFoods. Both of these annoyances have made me an almost daily customer to Nutrition Smart. Anytime I go shopping for groceries I only get a few things, I'm not the fiend who fills up a cart just so things can get lost and then rot in the fridge. For all the debutantes fearing the canary virus just get a bottle of Wild Oil of Oregano by North American Herb. Either way, Nutrition Smart is a grocery store where all the produce is organic, most of the processed food is organic, and they have the best or at the very least second best supplement section in the Tri-country area. Only Tunies in Coral Springs can give them a run for their money in that regard. You're not going to find Trader Joe prices, but you'll find prices in the range of WholeFoods or less. They don't have a deli section, but they do sell meats. On the weekends I always cook the same thing, omelets on Saturday and pancakes on Sunday. During the week I just drink sunflowers seeds, cashews, kale and organic grass-fed pasture-raised milk, ya I know it sounds really palatable & tasty lol. But before I head to Trader Joes every Saturday mourning I always stop here first to get Organic Free-range grain-fed eggs. For all you wannabe health nuts, there's no such thing as cage-free eggs, if you see the dark congested barns(cage-free) they keep the chickens in you would crap your pants. It's just a play on your ignorance so they can charge more money. So if you have a humane mind you need to look for "Free-range" eggs which Trader Joes does not sell. The Organic label also does not mean they are not in a congested dark inhumane barn, nor does it mean they are being fed their natural diet, they could be feeding them soy and corn. So you have to look for the "Grain Fed" label. They also have a much greater variety of high PH spring water than WholeFoods, Trader Joes only has ionized water which you seriously don't want to drink on the regular. If you start drinking natural alkaline water with a ph of 8 or higher it will work miracles in your life. What I also love about this place is you don't see hippies, vegans, or the eat pray love-tards that love to frolic around in Wholefoods. I think the canary hours are 9am - 7pm. read more

I absolutely love everything about this store! I get all of my natural products here when I don't shop online. It's convenient to where I live so I don't have to travel far and whenever I go they're never busy. I love browsing the isles because I get to learn about products that are new to me. And the staff is super helpful. Whenever I need something I just ask and they're always willing to either take me to the item or point me in the direction. If you need essential oils, they've got it! If you need natural feminine products, such as sanitary napkins, they've got it! Herbs, they've got that too! And one of my favorite isles?, the natural cleaning products isle, I'm a clean freak. Lol. I do a lot of comparison shopping and I usually find them cheaper here. As an herbalist, if I don't shop online, here is where I come. I get things like cheese cloths for straining herbal remedies, to loose leaf herbs for making slaves, infusions, oils, and such. Also, their prices on Now oil products are truly reasonable. I get my avocado, almond Now oil here. And even coconut oil for your hair and body as well. They also sell fruits and veggies and other grocery items. If you are in need of gluten free, or low carb breads, you'll find those in the refrigerator towards the right side of the store. On the left side of the store you'll find all their vitamins and nutritional supplements. They have a hefty selection. Remember to get help in choosing the best supplements for you. 4 1/2 really... Between this place and Whole Foods I have everything I need for my kids gluten/casein free diets! They have some hard to find items, local products and expanded items from brands that Whole Foods already carries. All of their produce is organic and for such a small market, they have a really good selection. I often order things in bulk as well. They just call me when it's in and then get a discount as well! I would love for them to add a deli type of counter where you can buy sandwiches or cooked meals. Now THAT would make it a full 5 stars! read more

First time coming here. I will say that they have so many organic items, food, oils, and limited makeup. Prices are extremely reasonable for being organic. What a gem! Recently, I decided to consume healthier and sustainably sourced food items/ingredients. I'm pleased to have a supermarket like Nutrition Smart that provides almost all of the health-conscious items one can find at other supermarkets like Whole Foods, some at competitive prices too. Their produce section is not overwhelmingly large like the produce sections found at other supermarkets. Still, I was impressed at the quality and pricing of their organic and conventional produce, given their small-scale area of fresh produce. I snagged one bunch of organic Dino kale for $2.50! The same price as the Dino kale found at Whole Foods. I also found vegan, dairy-free ice cream products that are some of the most decadent grocery store dessert items I've ever had! This is a store that I will recommend to my family and close friends. Of the times I've visited this location, I leave feeling like I just struck gold! read more

This place is good for protein and vitamins because they have a huge selection. Sometimes you can find good sales. Otherwise, the prices are even higher than Whole Foods! I found the deodorant I use for twice as much as it is at target. I will go there if I need to grab one or two things but for regular grocery shopping no way. They've been one of, if not, the first grocery stores to service the more health conscious consumer in Pembroke Pines. Though small, they carry some the same brands and similar range of products as the larger store, but Nutrition S'mart offers more in the way of pre and post workout supplements. The staff are usually knowledgeable about products and their uses. Customer service is never judged on how big you smile and how polite you are as I spending my money, but on how you respond when there is an issue. When Germack Mix (my favorite fruit&nut mix) wasn't in stock for more than a week, my disappointment was met with soft words of understanding, an explanation and the stores number so I can call ahead. Tonight I wanted to exchange 4 curdled yogurts for a store credit. Before getting in the car and making the trip, I checked my receipt (because I am the type of consumer to keep receipts) to make sure I was within my rights as a customer to ask for refund or store credit. On the bottom of the receipt are these words "we gladly accept return product within 30 days of purchase with the original receipt." Apparently their return policy has more stipulations than indicated in black and white on the receipt, their full policy is only available on line. Christian, the clerk, was particularly contentious and combative, even after is his superior (the embodiment of customer service) told him to proceed with the refund. He, Christian, is the catalyst for me giving this honest critique. Nutrition S'Mart, you are in competition with Publix and Whole Foods. Publix, a juggernaut, whose health food selection has broaden to include the some of the same brands at lower prices, provide solid customer service and a have tremendous volume of stores. Whole Foods, who offers a broader selection of brands, offers constant sales, fidelity programs and stellar customer service. I'd like the staff to realize that they are no longer the only purveyor of health foods in Pembroke Pines, yet they remain the most expensive, with the smallest inventory, so you're staff is the only fortifier against the big boys. If you aren't going to offer more a specialized shopping experience (unique brands, a larger bulk section, etc) then you need to make sure the staff focuses on customer care and retention. I also think it would be a prudent business practice to print the entire refund/return policy on the receipt or have it displayed in the store. read more

I am in love with this place!! The hubby and I visit it at least 1 a week. This is your all in one place for nutritional needs. They have everything from vitamins, to supplements, to organic food to organic food products. Considering that it is an organic place, the prices are also reasonable. I have had the pleasure of shopping at Nutrition Smart for several years. The store is always organized, making it easy to find products and is kept very clean. Even the bathrooms are spotless. All the employees are very knowledgeable, polite, pleasant and friendly. Whatever aisle you are on, an employee always offers to help. The store manager, Gary, makes his rounds through the store and is always available to help. In the supplement department, the manager, Alvaro, and his assistant Rick are very knowledgeable and take the time to educate one on any of the vitamins and herbs. Their assistants, Hugo, Samuel, Leonardo and Rhenee, also know the products and are always willing to assist one in finding items. In the grocery department, Johnny, the manager, is always willing to help one find things and is knowledgeable on the products. His assistants, Traci, Hugo, Rony, Alejandro and Christian are always offering help to find things, to help reach for products and to share their knowledge on items. And even checking out is a pure pleasure. Anita, Keisha and Lana are usually there on my shopping days. They are so friendly and work efficiently. My items are packed carefully as if they are packing for themselves. I never feel rushed through the check-out lane. There are always enough lanes open, so one doesn't have to wait long. Once in a while, I have the pleasure to see Nicole and Betsy work when I shop, and they couldn't be nicer to customers and are also very excellent cashiers. Everyone is an asset to the store. Some items you just can't find elsewhere. And every week, there are various items on sale! It is a pleasure to shop there and the parking in front is very convenient. This is my favorite place to shop! Don't get me wrong I do love a Whole Foods trip every now and then; however, Nutrition S'mart is where it is at in the Pembroke Pines/Cooper City vicinity! The store is never too crowded and the aisles are nice a wide! They have everything you need to eat organic, vegan, gluten-free, etc. TIP: for those of you who eat gluten-free this is the only place you can find a large selection of Sami's Bakery products (the millet flax crackers are addicting)! The prices are reasonable (don't get me started on the fact that eating healthy costs a fortune) and the staff is very friendly. I would have to say the vitamin/supplement section of the store may be the same size as their competitor but the staff is ten times more knowledgeable. My new favorite organic market, it's not as big as a Whole Foods but the quality is as good or better. The prices are affordable in some things like the organic tomatoes for $1.59/lb. They do not carry any raw meat Staff is very friendly. The had ballons at the entrance and my daughter loves them so she started asking me for one, a lady from the staff noticed that and inmediately came over and gave her one of her choice of color :D All I gotta say is that I'm really looking forward to the new store opening at the end of July in Miami Lakes...YES! read more

The four digit code on produce says its conventionally grown so even if its sold at whole foods doesn't mean it is organic!! Nutrition s'mart has everything I need for a vegan, healthy lifestyle.. I came to this location based on the recommendation of my pastor. He raved about there homeopath remedies for stress and tension. Upon arrival I was greeted by very courteous group of employees and a nutritionist introduced himself and asked for assistance. I explained my symptoms and he quickly knew where to go and what to recommend. Didn't find a flaw in there service and thus far the set of teas, mouth chews and pills have been excellent. This Nutrition S'mart is a little better than the one in Miami Lakes. The customer service is better. It is bigger and seems to have more products available. Overall, I recommend this store. The probiotics here are slightly cheaper than at whole foods. Try the blue bottle, 80 billion probiotics per capsule. Not too shabby! read more
