My family and I have been shopping here the last several years. While we love Publix, their prices are challenging with a family of four. So we do the majority of our weekly groceries shopping here. The prices are great with their digital coupons and discounts and being able to earn points. Unfortunately, this location is closing in January 2026. The only other locations are out east. I had to stop in there over the weekend to grab some last min items. This is not my regular location, but all WD are the same and carry the same items. What makes the supermarket stand out for me is the staff, at this location their staff sure is friendly! Huge parking lot, clean interior, carts were neatly packed and easy for customers to access. Love coming to Winn-Dexie, they always offer great deals, whether it's for canned goods to stock up in, meats or vegetables, this is definitely is my favorite neighborhood supermarket. read more

Ive never been a pro Winn-Dixie customer and a strong Publix lover at heart but this visit changed my mind. There are not that many Winn-Dixie supermarkets left in Broward County. What a beautiful spermarket which looks brand new but its not. Each food section is displayed against the wall with huge easy to view lettering. The fruits and veggies looked fresh and vibrant. It seems they pick out the old molded stuff. The managers were walking the floors and asjusting item racks and the employees were stocking the shelves which were all tightly stacked. I was searching for a specialty holiday item that was no longer on display. 2/$5 deals like the Bush's baked beans and Ole corn tostadas for $2.99. They have an impressive florist section and many cases of water for the hurricane. I also noticed a massive pile of firewood bundles near the front door which was strange. read more

Because it is kind of close to our church, we often stop at this Winn-Dixie to pick up steaks on Sunday for dinner. A few weeks ago, hubby seasoned and grilled the steaks. When we bit into them, they were spoiled. Hubby immediately took the cooked steak back to the store and the money was refunded. No apology, nothing. Just a deadpan response. Today, a few weeks later. He bought steaks again. But this time he opened them in the car before he left the parking lot to make sure they were OK. Nope. Spoiled again! WTHeck. Again deadpan response. Manager never appeared, though the person had to be called to approve the refund, which was over the phone. (We are guessing they were somewhere in the store.) What if we had eaten them and gotten food poisoning? The store would be facing a lawsuit, for sure. I am enraged. And plan to reach out to corporate about this. We will NEVER shop at this store again! read more

The Winn-Dixie located in Plantation is one of the best grocery stores in the area. I recently started shopping at Winn l-Dixie this past Thanksgiving because I was looking for a new grocery store to go to that is close to my house but also offers great value and pricing. They did not disappoint. One of the things I love most about this store is that it is very clean and well organized. I got a hot meal from the deli section (chicken fingers, Mac and cheese and plantains). I also brought a fresh piece of salmon that I was able to have steamed with Old Bay seasoning with garlic butter sauce. The man at the fish counter was very attentive and made sure I was satisfied with the piece of fish I picked out. I like the layout in the store and how easy it is to find what you're looking for. The food is fresh and the pricing makes it way to really save money while you are shopping. I would also recommend joining the Winn-Dixie Rewards program because they are always having Bogos or sales on various items in the store. If your looking for a great place to shop and a big bang for your buck you've come to the right place. read more

I was in the store today and Quinn is without a doubt the sweetest, caring and most helpful cashier you have ever had in your employ since the twin girls of a few years ago. Your digital coupon process is quite puzzling to my wife and myself. Quinn took the time and patience to get things right and when she had a question she took it to the head cashier. It was an absolute pleasure going thru her station and you are truly lucky and blessed to have her in your employ. Worst deli ever and the manager doesn't care. Have had many problems with this deli and have reported them to the manager she just doesn't care. Latest problem the one older lady (very nice) says at 3 pm on Sunday we have to wait 15 minutes because she has to clean the deli slicer what???? Talk to the same manager who could care less no wonder everyone goes to Publix. Why can't one person clean the machine and how about this the manager wait on the customer or clean the machine? read more

I always used to shop at Publix every time I needed groceries, but they tended to get a little too expensive for your everyday items. A few years ago, I started shopping at this Winn Dixie every weekend. I was genuinely satisfied with the shopping experience, lower prices, items fully stocked, and of course the employees who see you every weekend smile and wave as you pass by. A couple years ago, this store was renovated and is now an even more enjoyable place to shop. Every cashier I've dealt with has been helpful and caring, and when you strike up a conversation with them you can tell it makes their day. The lot associates always acknowledge you and will happily take your shopping cart back to the store for you when you're done. read more

I really do like this store. Good deals, good pricing, and well organized. However, the last 2 times I got boxed pasta here there were weavils in them. I know they are not from my pantry because this happened on two separate occasions and nothing else in my pantry has weavils, even opened packages. I bought a box of pasta from here and it was in my pantry, got weavils... I threw it out and just moved on with my life. Got groceries at target the next few weeks out of convenience, no issues. Went back to Winn Dixie, got pasta... went to use it that same night, the box never even made it into the pantry..... and weavils were inside the pasta! I checked my entire pantry both times and nothing else had weavils! read more

On our last visit to Winn-Dixie at this location. We had our worst experience ever. Now when you walk into the store it is a really nice store. In fact my wife and I were saying this would be the grocery store we will be using. Nice selection and everything. But if I were you I would stay away from this store like it's the plague. We will not be shopping at this Winn Dixie or any other from now on. In fact we would go out of our way to shop Winn-Dixie. We pass Walmart and Publix to shop here. The customer service if rude and load and obnoxious. Guess they never trained their employees to be nice and understanding. Now we have had great experiences and bad experiences at multiple stores. But this experience has us not wanting to give any of them our business ever again. I normal wouldn't come on Yelp and tell people not to go somewhere but with my experience this pass time. I highly recommend never giving a business that first having rude employees and second when contacting them to the issue not getting back to them even with a call or email saying we will look into it. So if you are reading this I highly recommend you go down the street and shop at Walmart or Publix. read more

I must admit I haven't been to this Winn Dixie (or any other) since high school (let's not talk about exactly how many years ago that was but a long time ago). What can I say, I'm a Publix girl through and through. But I stopped by here randomly after a coffee run at the Starbucks in the same plaza. I was very surprised when I walked in. It was updated and very clean. The bakery and deli section is much nicer than I remember and they had fresh cooked rotisserie chicken on sale at the time of my visit. It looked a lot nicer than the Publix I usually go to. I love the savings you get if you use your Winn Dixie rewards card, especially on gas. If you haven't been in awhile, I suggest you stop by. read more

I live close to this store but I always go to Publix and avoided this Winn Dixie for a long time because I had several bad experiences with veggies I purchased from this location before their renovation. We just happened to be in the same shopping center and decided to pick up a couple of things instead of going across the street to Publix. Vegetable and prepared food section is renovated nicely with wood floor and it almost make you feel like you are at Whole Foods or Fresh Market. But I was not crazy about the half of the store with concrete floor... I don't know if they renovated the other half of the store at all...I had a pretty good shopping experience till we went to the self service register...My husband and I talked about how we should come to this store more often instead of Publix....well...ALMOST!! The cherry tomato I bought had a sign $2.99 but the register brought it up as $3.99. My husband and I both remembered reading the sign, 2.99. He stayed at the register and I went back to the vegetable section and snapped a picture of the sign that said 2.99. I showed the picture and asked one of the employees standing in front of the self service. I asked if it was bringing up incorrectly or the sign was misplaced and if they honor the price (as Publix always does). The lady went to the vegetable section again, came back and told me that I read the sign wrong and it says $3.99 and nowhere does it say $2.99. She said to me and my husband "I don't know where or which store that picture is from but it is $3.99". We ended up getting the $2.99 price when I said ok, I'd like to take it back, I will just get it at Publix later. After we paid, we again went back to the vegetable section and found out the lady removed the sign 2.99. Obviously, we had it on the picture and now it's gone. If she had told me, I'm sorry we misplaced the sign but it's really 3.99, I would have no problem but I'd never go back to a store that the employee calls a customer a liar for something that they made an error with. NEVER going back to Winn Dixie. I will stick with Publix even if I have to pay a bit more, I will at least leave the store with a big smile knowing I received an excellent customer service. read more
