The room was so-so. It hadn't been updated in a while. When we first entered it had what I think of as "old motel" smell, as though people had once smoked cigarettes in it. But after that I didn't notice that smell anymore. The bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was adequate. We were very happy to have a fridge and microwave because we had breakfast in our room. We could hear noise from above us and next to us, but we are not noise sensitive so it didn't bother us. The staff was very nice. I had accidentally booked two rooms when we only needed one, and didn't realize it until 8pm the first night. They technically could have charged me for that night, but they didn't.

Unfortunately we're not able to afford the stay on the night we actually came in. Brenda the wonderful front desk gal, went above and beyond , tracked down the owner. They gave us our original king room FOR FREE! Never have I ever had this kind of hospitality. The room was wonderful, freshly remodeled, and a super comfy bed. For not looking like much from the road. I was completely blown away by the staff and owner. From now on.. our go to hotel for concerts at the Gorge. Thank you Thank you Thank You! She had a friend who was with her next to the front desk with a glass of wine. That was weird. The friend didn't say hi which is why I'm assuming she was not a staff member. She looked up at us when we walked in and I had to tell her we were checking in. She walked us through the property amenities and then sent us on our way. We returned the next day to use the gym and asked to confirm my spa appointment. She confirmed the time but not whether the 90 min was confirmed (we had called previously to extend to 90 min). We went to use the gym and when we came back down she was socializing with a coworker. She only came back to the front desk once we walked up to it to ask for extra towels. We also let her know we never got an email for the spa form. She had resent it before we headed to the gym. Her response, "that's weird." The hotel can't even figure out their email system. The gym is very minimal. There is a treadmill that is broken (stuck on incline) and dirty yoga mats. No water. No towels. There is a shower. When I arrived at the spa no one was manning the front desk. My massage therapist popped in and checked me in, apologizing that there was no one at the front desk. It was only after I checked in that the front desk person showed up. My massage therapist was very good. She accommodated a 90 minute session when I mentioned I requested it but did not get it. She also went over which I appreciated. Her name is Angela. Very experienced and highly recommend. We intended to eat at their bar where we enjoyed their pizza last year. The bartender informed us that because there is a private party that the kitchen won't be open till 7pm. I replied, "that's too bad as we enjoyed the pizzas last year. The bartender said that pizzas were not available till May. I let him know last year in March there were pizzas available. He thought it was odd as he knew of it as a summer thing. This made me think they were cutting down on costs again as they don't need to fire up their pizza oven. Checked out with same front desk lady. She just looks at me. No proactive greeting. The service here is severely lacking unfortunately. It does not feel like a top notch resort. I will not be back next year and will look somewhere else for my annual weekend getaway.

The long entrance driveway take you by some of their other property types like the condos and standalone houses. Check in was a breeze and our cliffhouse (also standalone) was just a short walk from the main building. The room itself had character, but could have been maintained better. The bathroom was dark even with the lights on. Our room did come with water and a drink fridge. The bed was comfortable and the bst part was the outside deck and view that was had from there. We could see the pool and the river. I watched the sunrise from here and it was incredible. The wedding was in the event tent, which was warm and wind resistant because we had strong winds that night. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I spent some time in my friend's home on the property and they all are individually owned and have hot tubs. The whole lace is upscale, but not pretentious!

We stayed here in August of 2010 for a wedding that was taking place next door at Cave B Inn. The…read morebest part was that the rates were less then Cave B and after a long night of wine and food we were able to stumble back to our yurt without worrying about driving to a hotel in Moses Lake. At the time we checked in we didn't realize that Cave B and Chiwana Village were separately operated and we couldn't check in at the lobby of Cave B. Instead we were guided to a separate office to the couple that runs it. Both were very welcoming, nice, and accommodating staying past the time they normally do to check us in. All in all I was a fan. Pros: -The yurt felt like most high end hotels but with a safari twist and definitely very clean. -King sized bed and very comfortable (I think they all have king size beds). -Had a fridge, very large leather sofa, electricity, large bath room with shower (none have a tub), AC/Heat. -The night sky with the millions of stars to look at. -The gorge amphitheater is right there but the crowed isn't. Heads up: -No phone and TV. Since there was a wedding we didn't need the TV but it would have been nice to have one for the time we were in the Yurt. As for the phone our cell phones were dodgy at best and I would have felt safer with a land line if we had an emergency or question. -A flashlight is a must if you plan to walk around the grounds after sunset. It does get dark and much of the trails/walkways do not have lighting. Luckily they provided a small flashlight on our key chain that lit up our path from Cave B to the yurt. -There isn't a front desk to call after hours. The info packet listed Cave B as a contact even though they are separately operated. -The noise of the bathroom light/fan. It will wake anyone up in the middle of the night and there is no way to turn them separately on or the other off/on

Eww!!!!! Not deserving of any stars so why make me give it one???…read more I've never wrote a review this bad but, it has to be done. Seriously the nastiest place I've ever stayed and had to pay to do it. If you're going to a concert at The Gorge, book something else early and save yourself this Amityville Horror! Think of this place as a very large honey bucket inside the Bates Motel. Bring your Lysol wipes (wipe every surface down prior to touching), sleeping bags, pillows, blankets and whatever else you'd use to camp out. Oh....and don't even think you're sitting in the chair that's stained with who knows what. Bring your flip flops too because the carpet is beyond sketchy!! There are no clocks but don't you think about checking out a second late because Mr. Miyagi will charge you $20; apparently that's the hourly rate at this fine establishment. We didn't even shower because it looked so disgusting we decided to just take off and save ourselves the horror of being in that room one moment longer. The comforters smelled, blankets had cigarette burns, no outlets in the vile bathroom, a phone straight out of the 70's, no dead bolt on the door; we just barricaded it. The one Exit door was locked from the inside so getting out during a fire (which seems like it could happen at any moment), would have been very interesting. Watch TV? Umm.....pick a fuzzy line filled channel and enjoy. Don't forget to wipe the remote down with one of your Lysol wipes first though. You want to hear it? Nope, volume only goes so high, sorry. Wait.....that one channel comes in REAL loud; you know, the infomercial channel. Save yourself the nightmare and stay ANYWHERE else!!! We just had to start making a joke of it. We called the carpet lava and would warn each other not to forget to put our lava shoes on before getting off the bed.

She runs Crescent Bar Vacation Rentals and Crescent Bar Excursions so there is a lot she can offer you and your vacation from boat rentals and activities to enjoy, to amazing condos or homes in Sun Serra. For those of you who aren't familiar with the fun that is Crescent Bar -think Grand Canyon-level beautiful scenery and tons of fun, polite and very attractive people all enjoying the sun and the water on a sand berm. The best thing about CB is that it is only 2.5 hours from Seattle. On holiday weekends, you might compare it to holidays at Lake Lanier (Georgia) or Lake Havasu (Arizona). IF you have never gone to Crescent Bar, you really should. It is the most fun you can have outside of skiing or that close to Seattle. . I drove down from Seattle with a few friends on the Friday of Memorial weekend. Despite it being a big holiday at Crescent Bar with space of all either priced at a premium or unavailable, Debbie provided us with an amazing 2/2 condo at Sun Serra complete with her five-star service at a non- holiday price. As soon as we drove in from Seattle, Debbie came out to meet us and even managed to locate convenient parking for our boats and trucks on property without charging us extra. Her kindness and consideration kept coming throughout our stay as she checked in with us a few times to see if we needed anything! Our two bedroom condo was beautiful. The property offered five pools , four hot tubs, and all types of sporting courts. Our condo /townhome proved to be the perfect place to go and relax after a day in the sun and on the water. Anyone looking to make memories at Crescent Bar at a fair price should reach out to Debbie from Crescent Bar Vacation Rentals and Crescent Bar Excursions.
