Really upset. We drove two hours to be told the "mags" on the helicopter weren't working and that we wouldn't be able to fly. Paul said this doesn't ever happen, but I wish it would've been checked prior to our appointment. read more

As my first time riding in a helicopter I couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the scenery of Lake Chelan and the North Cascades to listening to Paul, the owner and pilot, tell stories of his time flying in Alaska and elsewhere, the whole deal was incredible. I probably said, "This is so awesome" about thirty times. It was an incredible way to start a Saturday morning, absolutely incredible, the perspective you get up there is something to take in at least once in your life. Go take a ride!! read more

My husband and I are from the Chelan County area and had been gifted a tour. We scheduled the tour around our anniversary and chose to fly to Stehekin and have dinner at Stehekin Valley Ranch, which was DELICIOUS! Our pilot, Bryan, was excellent and did a fantastic job of pointing out areas of interest on the flight up and back. We were also taken on a tour of Stehekin once we landed at the ranch. Bryan drove us to Rainbow Falls, stopped by the bakery, gift shop, and a school house that was 100 years old all the while filling us in on interesting bits of history about Stehekin. Both my husband and I were very impressed with the experience, it was definitely a special way to celebrate our anniversary! A fabulous experience!! read more

Such a great experience! We had an amazing time with our pilot/guide! Bryan was so knowledgeable about the area and took the time to answer questions and was so nice. We will be back! Thank you so much! read more

Lake Chelan Helicopters - Aerial Tours Near Me - Manson, Washington

My wife, son and I enjoyed our first family helicopter ride over Chelan (1-hr) so much I returned a week later with our daughter for the Stehekin tour, air + land + dinner. (almost 4-hrs). My work office is driving a city bus with a million dollar view of the Cascades, Mt Rainier, the Olympics and Space Needle. Dale flies his awesome office with equally, ok sometimes better, more spectacular views. And much less traffic! Takeoffs and landings were so smooth, Dale knows the history and people in the area and always made sure we were comfortable during the flight. We were less than a minute away from our RV at Kamei Campground and took off toward toward north Lake Chelan, the mountain vistas and smaller inland lakes and trails. We landed at the Stehekin State Airport then visited Stehekin Pastry Company, Rainbow Falls and the original Stehekin School. We took off then flew over to Stehekin Valley Ranch for dinner, met some of the nice staff and guests there, then we took off for the final flight back to Manson, admiring the sights and enjoying the personal and actual history of the area from Dale. Everything was memorable - the flight, sights and stories, the people we met, the food and the unique experience of flying, taking off and landing 3 times in a helicopter. There is a 3-passenger and 500-lb max for the flight. You're given headphones to muffle the engine noise and provide communications during the flight. No reports of motion sickness from the family, ventilation was good and even a light rain was fascinating as it beaded off the bubble canopy on the return flight. Bring a camera that can take photos and videos but remember to put it down every now and then to truly admire the smoothness of the flight and in-your-face natural beauty of the area. You'll also appreciate the history that Dale tells you with pride about growing up to work, raise a family and enjoy his home space on land and in the air. A mile of road takes you a mile, a helipad can take you anywhere and generate so many smiles! We highly recommend Lake Chelan Helicopters for a truly memorable experience from Chelan to Stehekin. read more

Dale was amazing. We booked online for the next morning and he reached out to get our address and landed in a nearby field to pick us up. His deep knowledge of the area's history made him a superb guide and fine piloting made for a fun flight. He was incredibly flexible in his ability to adapt his schedule. Amazing service. Highly recommended. read more

This was awesome! The views are incredible and Dale is a fun, knowledgeable host! Not only did this excursion create a sudden desire to learn how to fly a helicopter, but it was an absolutely beautiful way to be introduced to the beauty of Lake Chelan. read more

I have to start with the fact that we unfortunately did not get to fly, but if you have ever been in the biz you know the good ones from the bad when you actually interact. The owner, Dale, personally calls to check the details and flight ability/status. My sister & I set up an appointment (which he was willing to set up on a day off since we were all the way from TX) and was honest enough to let us know that the early fog would have kept us from getting our money's worth (though I would have done it anyway, tipped, and been happy). He let us decide and we got a day in Canada instead. But have no doubt, my sister & I will be back (because Ricky Gervais is coming back!) and we WILL be contacting him as soon as our itinerary is made this time! When we told him he was amazing, he said he keeps telling his wife that.... but I am POSITIVE she knows that!!! See you soon! read more

Outside of the wedding we attended, this was the highlight of our trip! We booked Dale for the hour, and he let us split the hour into three 20 minute rides. There was 7 of us total. The helicopter only holds 3 people and/or 500 pounds. Twenty minutes in the air was the perfect amount of time as we had other things to do that day. The helicopter landed in the field right next to our hotel. All of it was so easy and so much fun. I highly recommend! read more

This is a MUST when visiting the Lake Chelan Valley! Pilot and tour guide, Dale England, grew up here and knows all best places to see! Make the time to do this, you'll make an incredible memory and have awesome pictures to share! read more

I surprised my grandson with a helicopter ride for his 9th birthday. I have ridden in helicopters a few times and he has ridden once before but this was truly exceptional. Dale is amazing in his level of communcation to help plan the trip. On our arrival at the beautiful departure site, he made us feel so welcome and explained everything we needed to know with calm professionalism. He was so nice to be able to customize the experience to the individual passengers and made sure that we all felt safe and would have a wonderful ride. It was clear that Dale really cares about his passengers. The helicopter itself is small but feels so solid and is relatively quiet with big windows everywhere. The headsets are comfortable and the sound quality is excellent. It was such a treat to see the beautiful Lake Chelan area from a new vantage point. Dale is a native of the area and is a wealth of information and great humor. Thank you, Dale for such a fabulous experience. read more
