    Bathroom baseboard.

Staying in one of the Cave 2 Condo units. Cost for the room is $399, various taxes and fees, and a $150 cleaning fee for one night. Total cost is about $630 for one night. - Internet doesn't work. - Toilet seat broken. - Wood baseboard along the bathroom floor is water damaged. - Marks on the wall. High price for mediocre quality. Exceptional high cost for poor quality.

    The view from our room.

I went on a birthday trip with my sisters to Sagecliffe and we all had the best time!!! The restaurant was delicious and the views were spectacular. We all also got massages at the spa and it was exactly what we needed. Prior to our massage we had a chance to talk with our masseuse to make sure we got exactly what we needed!! We all had slightly different but all round an amazing experience. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a crowd free, quiet, and relaxing weekend. We also stopped by the winery and it had a great relaxing vibe.

We came here for a staycation mini getaway. We were pleasantly surprised, it was beautiful. We stayed at one of the sagecliffe cabin houses and we pretty much the last ones on the end. It was so secluded and peaceful, didn't see anyone to the right of us, as the left were just fields. We felt like we were by ourselves and were so far away from civilization. We loved every minute of it. It started to snow as well during the day which made it so much better. Only downside was when we wanted to do dinner we just wanted to walk to the restaurant, but it is so dark and not greatly lit which makes it hard to see. They did give out little flashlights but they didn't really light much in front of us. Other than that, the food was delicious and the staff were great. We would definitely come back.

We recently stayed here for a couple nights on a resort hopping motorcycle trip . Loved this resort. Loved the views of course. Loved the pool with the gorgeous waterfall and koi pond. We enjoyed this place so much. We will be back. Only recommendation might be they need their front desk staff to be a-little more professionally trained for such a high end resort . They seemed like " Doe in the headlights" versus a quality professional in the service industry. Also they did "not have staff "so the whiskey bar wasn't open. Bummer to not have something basic as the whiskey bar open at this price point. In contrast to our next destination of suncadia which is fully staffed and working like a well oiled Machine! The best customer service was Kevin at the pool bar! He was so nice and went above and beyond on customer service! So professional and resort quality service! Overall we loved this place and highly recommend for a wedding venue!

    Sofa

We stayed in one of the yurts. First, upon entering the yurt, the smell of sewage and outhouse was pretty prevalent. The rug was disgustingly dirty. The sofa speaks for itself. (See picture) The bed and linens were so old that it was barely a step up from camping. The winds were very heavy which isn't a problem in and of itself but when the window flaps have been duct taped and since failed, the unrelenting noise all night is unbearable. The small HVAC unit tries to keep up but all it does is add additional noise to the room. For almost $300 a night, I expect more.

Screen not even screwed in and came off the second I tried to open a window for air flow.

If I could sum up this place and my stay into one sentence it's this: BUYER BEWARE! For what this place is charging a night (400+) one would expect alot more. I'm not stating the following to sound pretentious rather to tell others for the price this place charges you should be getting way way way more in services here. The only thing this place has on it's cards to play is the view and wine. Everything else is crap. I was reserved a stay at one of their condos, which is a far-off drive from the main lodge. I arrived way late at night and let me tell you, you are screwed if you need to navigate this place in pitch dark. The signs have zero distinction and no lighting! So the whole time I had my high beams on in order to see. When I finally made it over to the condos it was pure hell just even walking to it. Forget it if you have roller luggage because it's all gravel and zero lights to see your path. Imagine carrying your bags while holding your phone to shine a light. Yeah, its not fun! The condo itself was fine however it would've been nice to have had bottled water. Instead, I found a half-frozen brita water pitcher with leftover water in it. Gross! I also found plenty of leftover tea and K-cups. Even the water wasn't changed out or empty for the Keurig. Guess that's too much to ask again when one is spending nearly $400 a night for. Oh and have fun trying to call the front desk if they answer. Literally I had to make several calls in order for someone to pick up. When I asked the front desk regarding pool privileges the girl on the other end gave zero details as how to get to the pool or even bothered to show someone who's never stayed there. Now for the pool, though the place is beautiful, however, if you have a disability or are unable to walk or are just plain elderly you're f**** because you have to go down a steep ass hill in order to get to the pool and hike it back up. I don't know how parents with strollers and pool toys did this. While the pool is nice, it does get insanely busy on the weekends so get their early to mark your spot in the shade. I didn't bother with any of the food or cafe at the resort. After reading reviews about the lack luster food and checking out the menu myself I deemed it not worth it. I'd also like to mention that my 'condo' didn't even have window screens screwed in. I went to open a window to let in the cool night air and the whole screen came off and already had a massive tear in it. Again, $400 a night for this garbage. In the end I decided to leave early because I had enough. Though they were nice enough to give me a credit for the remaining day, they decided to also stick it to me with a "late charge" for checking out. Really?! Take my solid advice and avoid this place if you're wanting to do something special. I'd only come back here as a last resort if I were stuck at the gorge.

We were camping at the Gorge and wanted to break away for the day. The wine was surprising delicious and we also enjoy the pizza truck. Views were stunning with ample seating outside on the patio. There was also a fun band playing great tunes.

We celebrated our anniversary in Cliffehouse #8 at the SageCliffe Inn (formerly the Cave B Inn). Wow! We had seven floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. Cliffehouse #8 is a detached unit with a small entry way, a living room, a master bedroom with a large bathroom. The living room and bedroom are separated by a gas fireplace visible from both rooms. There is lots of room to spread out, relax and enjoy the unit, and there are great walking paths throughout the property through the vineyards to the excellent restaurant (Tendrils), the outdoor swimming pool, a small pond, an outdoor stage and the wine tasting building. The tree-lined driveway passes through vineyards and apple orchards on the way to from the main road to the edge of the cliff where the SageCliffe Inn properties are located. The incredible views of the Gorge are visible from everywhere on the property! We enjoyed our clean room, the comfy bed, the romantic fireplace, the complimentary eucalyptus scented bath products, the friendly and efficient service from the front desk, and the delicious seafood from Tenrils restaurant (delivered to the door of our room in a large insulated black box). This was the perfect place to spend a romantic weekend!

The room was so-so. It hadn't been updated in a while. When we first entered it had what I think of as "old motel" smell, as though people had once smoked cigarettes in it. But after that I didn't notice that smell anymore. The bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was adequate. We were very happy to have a fridge and microwave because we had breakfast in our room. We could hear noise from above us and next to us, but we are not noise sensitive so it didn't bother us. The staff was very nice. I had accidentally booked two rooms when we only needed one, and didn't realize it until 8pm the first night. They technically could have charged me for that night, but they didn't.

For not looking like much from the road. I was completely blown away by the staff and owner. From now on.. our go to hotel for concerts at the Gorge. Thank you Thank you Thank You! The…read morebest part was that the rates were less then Cave B and after a long night of wine and food we were able to stumble back to our yurt without worrying about driving to a hotel in Moses Lake. At the time we checked in we didn't realize that Cave B and Chiwana Village were separately operated and we couldn't check in at the lobby of Cave B. Instead we were guided to a separate office to the couple that runs it. Both were very welcoming, nice, and accommodating staying past the time they normally do to check us in. All in all I was a fan. Pros: -The yurt felt like most high end hotels but with a safari twist and definitely very clean. -King sized bed and very comfortable (I think they all have king size beds). -Had a fridge, very large leather sofa, electricity, large bath room with shower (none have a tub), AC/Heat. -The night sky with the millions of stars to look at. -The gorge amphitheater is right there but the crowed isn't. Heads up: -No phone and TV. Since there was a wedding we didn't need the TV but it would have been nice to have one for the time we were in the Yurt. As for the phone our cell phones were dodgy at best and I would have felt safer with a land line if we had an emergency or question. -A flashlight is a must if you plan to walk around the grounds after sunset. It does get dark and much of the trails/walkways do not have lighting. Luckily they provided a small flashlight on our key chain that lit up our path from Cave B to the yurt. -There isn't a front desk to call after hours. The info packet listed Cave B as a contact even though they are separately operated. -The noise of the bathroom light/fan. It will wake anyone up in the middle of the night and there is no way to turn them separately on or the other off/on

Seriously the nastiest place I've ever stayed and had to pay to do it. If you're going to a concert at The Gorge, book something else early and save yourself this Amityville Horror! Think of this place as a very large honey bucket inside the Bates Motel. Bring your Lysol wipes (wipe every surface down prior to touching), sleeping bags, pillows, blankets and whatever else you'd use to camp out. Oh....and don't even think you're sitting in the chair that's stained with who knows what. Bring your flip flops too because the carpet is beyond sketchy!! There are no clocks but don't you think about checking out a second late because Mr. Miyagi will charge you $20; apparently that's the hourly rate at this fine establishment. We didn't even shower because it looked so disgusting we decided to just take off and save ourselves the horror of being in that room one moment longer. The comforters smelled, blankets had cigarette burns, no outlets in the vile bathroom, a phone straight out of the 70's, no dead bolt on the door; we just barricaded it. The one Exit door was locked from the inside so getting out during a fire (which seems like it could happen at any moment), would have been very interesting. Watch TV? Umm.....pick a fuzzy line filled channel and enjoy. Don't forget to wipe the remote down with one of your Lysol wipes first though. You want to hear it? Nope, volume only goes so high, sorry. Wait.....that one channel comes in REAL loud; you know, the infomercial channel. Save yourself the nightmare and stay ANYWHERE else!!! We just had to start making a joke of it. We called the carpet lava and would warn each other not to forget to put our lava shoes on before getting off the bed.
