Failed inspection, water leak after the work was supposedly finished 1 week later, gaps on reinstalled fixtures, inverted cartridge on a shower, damaged hardware, shoddy dry wall work, sloppy texture finish getting it on unaffected walls causing a full repaint of all walls. I do not recommend this company. In fact I should have asked for a refund for what I had to go through. read more

I have been so incredibly happy with this company. We had very old galvanized pipes that had to be re-done because my old pipes were bursting and breaking, and many of them were clogged, and I had very little to no water pressure. They did all the pipes for my house in one day actually seven hours and then another day they came back and patched up all the holes and they did a wonderful job Very pleased with their work. And I've had to have them come out three additional times just to adjust some pipes and water pressure, they show up within the same day and they do the work to perfection. I am super super happy and I would highly recommend this company. read more

These guys exceeded our expectations. Our aging galvanized water lines developed pinhole leaks, necessitating a complete repiping. After receiving bids from two plumbing companies and another repiping specialist, we selected this firm due to their superior product explanations and process detail. Cory's professionalism and attention to detail were exemplary. We opted for PEX piping, and the installation was remarkably fast, completed within three days: one day for installation, one for inspections, and one for drywall repair. My partner and I recommend! Great experience! read more

FRAUD! Canceled my job (no work done), canceled deposit check. The salesperson ran an ACH charge to my checking acct TOTALLY illegally. Really wanted to write a great review for these guys but the whole experience was subpar. Initial work seemed to be of high quality. The first issue was that they left all the old exterior pipes sealed off with bright orange foam. I asked the installers several times if that was the permanent fix and they all said it was. I had to send pictures to the company and ask several times for them to come out and make it so the exterior of my home was not covered in orange foam dots. They eventually sent someone out to properly come out and finish the job. Three months later I discovered an issue with a shower that hadn't been used. Turning on the shower took an unusual amount of force to the point it felt like something would snap. I called and let them know what was going on. They said it would cost $190 to come out and take a look since it was more than 30 days past the original completion date. I went back and forth several times with them and eventually they had an installer finishing a job nearby to take a look. He could not fix it and said there was nothing he could do. Not wanting to get stuck with $190 bill only to find out they wouldn't cover it under warranty, I hired my own plumber to fix it. What had happened was when Repipe removed the shower handle and reinstalled it, they badly misthreaded it to the point where it angled into the handle. This caused pressure and friction preventing the handle from rotating. It was also backed in to a point where it could not be unscrewed and removed. The solution was to cut the faceplate and remove the assembly behind it. It cost me $600 in parts and labor to fix it. I contacted Repipe once again and proposed that they meet me half way and pay for half of it. They never bothered even responding. Not the customer service I'd expect after spending $9k. Bottom line is that their "lifetime" warranty comes with a lot of small print. You likely won't have any issues, but if you do be prepared to not be happy with the result. read more

Repiping your home seems like a daunting and scary effort. We had a plumber recommend that we contact Repipe Specialists and get a quote. John Oscarson came out to spend some real time going through the options and plotting the best way for minimal inconvenience. We took months of considering options, putting it off, and worrying about the potential disruption. We read the reviews and they seemed so-so and confusing between individuals that really didn't seem to know what they were getting into, and potential red flags. So, I told myself I would leave a real, honest and relatable review after our process was done and a few months had gone by. Today is the day! In the end: We couldn't have been happier with the process. Repipe Specialists has their local crews that execute the work, and for us, it was G&W Plumbing. We went with PEX and have a 4 bed 3 bath house of around 3000 sq ft. It took 1 day for the repipe process itself and 1 day for the drywall/stucco patching. Everyone was respectful, professional, and they did a great job of taping things off and cleaning up after the process. We had the holes in the wall for about 3 days and then the drywall team came in and finished up. Again, they did a fantastic job of cleaning up after themselves and even matching our drywall and stucco texture. It was really good! All we had to do was paint, and our flat walls looked so good that we didn't even bother (our walls are already white and the drywall matched). I look at the complaints that other people have here on Yelp that freaked me out, so now that I've been through it, I think I should address it for anyone else reading: First, you're repiping your house - holes have to be made everywhere and I think they do a great job of minimizing them and cleaning up. When the drywallers come in, they fix it all for you and it's going to look like it did at the beginning. Second, they will take out as much copper as they can from your house. If they re-route the line, they may leave some in there and cap it off to prevent having to take down more walls. I see complaints about this but it makes total sense. Third, if you really want something out or something different, just tell them. They will do it. We were adding a hose bib during the install and wished we could have a different handle... the foreman ask us what we wanted, and said he'd happily install it if we brought him what we wanted. We did it and are super happy now. Finally, Repipe Specialists was the best value of the 3 competitive quotes we got. As I found out during the process, this is all that these crews do - repipe houses. They know how to find stuff and get the job done efficiently as they literally do repipes every single day. There were so many things that I thought would be super difficult that they navigated with ease. In the end, they did a great job and the house was fully functional and clean at the end of the process. I now have the confidence to go on vacation without coming back for a mess. I think these guys know what they are doing, doing a good job, and best of all, no surprises! read more

They went beyond the agreed upon prescheduled days of the job, didn't schedule follow up appointments with care or any matter of urgency, causing us to make multiple follow up calls ourselves to constantly see that/when they would come back to complete the job, all the while living in a hotel with family for the duration. Still the work was well done by the crews, only that the first crew of workers left a dent in our flooring, and after reporting the dent, the company had us go through all sorts of measures (referring us to other people who have tried to delay anything from happening, and constantly accusing us of lying) to have it fixed (it still is not fixed) all the while doubting us, asking for more and more proof that they were responsible. We then sent proof and they went MIA. They make you fight hard for this sort of thing which is not a good indication of care for the customer's home or belongings, and they're still not handling it correctly. Would recommend you work with someone else if possible. read more

If I could give this company ZERO stars, I would. These guys supposedly "repiped" my house with PEX in Long Beach, but then I found out that they had cut water to my bar sink, they didn't repipe the toilet pipes, they left a hole in my shower where the handle is because they broke too much tile. I tried to reason with them and explain the bad job they had done, but they refused to repair anything and said they were done and took my money. Please walk with them at every single point where the repipe is supposed to be done ie, sinks, showers toilets, etc. because they do not stand behind their work once you pay them. Beware, they behaved like scheisters! Don't pay them until you are sure they have done the job! read more

Calling the 800 number for Repipe Specialists does absolutely nothing. Why even comment on my post if you aren't going to help? We are over 2 weeks in and my house is still a disaster. The salesman Michael is a liar so don't trust him and his boss Del Donk just gives excuses. This has literally be the worst experience of my life and I highly Suggest you stay away read more

The Repipe Specialists were AMAZING. I called two other plumbers before deciding to go with them. Their team repiped my whole house in one day. They came in like an assembly line and knew exactly what they were doing. They handled every detail from the city permit to getting the drywall replaced and resurfaced, systematically. I highly recommend this service. read more

My experience with the salesman and workers was seamless John spent a good 2 hours explaining their procedures and the 8 workers that were in my 3 level home were great gentlemen very respectful of a single woman at home and cleaned up with care. The 2nd crew who patched all the holes and textured the walls did an equally great job with respect and a sure Ma'am with a smile attitude. I would recommend this company over the many others my neighbors used. They re-piped my water heater hose to where it flushes out into the driveway in the future and not in the garage where it is located read more

The other day I got a phone called from Repipe asking to bill the remaining balance when in fact they still owe me for the things they damaged while they sent their local contractor G&W Plumbing. Those guys damaged my bathroom mirror ($350), disconnected my alarm system up in the attic battery replacement ($40) and broke my Grohe Faucet Side Spray 46857DC0 Supersteel Infinityfinish ($150.49 on Amazon). Still no reply back. I followed up countlessly with Repipe & G&W Plumbing. Neither claim any responsibility. These guys are extremely sloppy and unrelieable. read more

scam!! repipe will lock you into a contract and leave you with your walls open waiting for the customer to give in while the home was never intended to pass inspection. they source out to third party cheap labor who are not licensed to complete the job in your local town. therefore they never pull the necessary permit for the job to be inspected by you he city. theres never an actual repipe employee on site during the job like they state in their contract. a salesman sets the whole thing up and fakes an asbestos test with a buddy of his who you pay $500 dollars to immediately. then you literally see no one from repipe ever again. they actually tell you to not call them and give a sheet of paper with the third party company phone number. thats where you get the truth. the third party was honest and said they dont have a license to work in that town once we were already waiting for inspection. why does repipe make you pay up to 95% of the job before its complete? they know as a homeowner all you want is the nightmare to be over so you cave in. even though a true inspection from the city was never coming. they're willing to eat the remaining $800 dollars. go with a company that can show you a license to work in your town. there's a reason why its that much cheaper than everyone else. stay away!!! read more

We had aging PVC pipelines that are brittle and prone to easy cracking/fractionating. I extensively shopped around and read reviews. Ultimately my neighbor handed me a contact to repipe specialty. The quote and level of details did not disappoint. Clear and concise communication. Very responsive. Reliable. The entire project was lightning fast and work was extremely clean. Workers were in sync and had the pipe installed and water back up in less than a day. Patching was done in half a day. I'm very satisfied with the work, product, and price. More importantly you have folks that listens to their customers. Thank you repipe specialist team. read more

I'm giving one star for my experience with the sales rep Sean P but the subcontractors that came in to do the job did a good job, seemed honest, and with a lifetime warranty I don't have a concern about the work. The sales rep Sean P. Sold us something we didn't need! We approached Repipe Specialist with a very specific issue: we had a compromised pipe due to root intrusion which caused a pool of biohazard water under the house. As a layperson, I don't know anything about plumbing and the system under the house. Sean played on that ignorance. We told him the specific issue, about how we had a plumber come out and give us an estimate of $15k to do an epoxy liner of the main line to fix the cracks, and he scoffed at that amount saying they could repipe the entire house for $10k; plumbers are expensive because they don't specialize in repipe, they have to compile a whole team and buy parts at retail cost, which he explain Repipe Specialists don't have to do. He never explained that they don't do the drainage system, he never explained that they only do incoming water system. Nowhere in the contact does it say this! He went on to turn the conversation to low water flow, hot water taking time to reach the back bathroom, etc, for which their services would help correct. He knew exactly what he was doing and sold us. We proceeded with having the work done thinking an ENTIRE Repipe would be done but that wasn't the case and I didn't find that out until after the work was completed. So here we are with an entirely new water-in system, paid them $10k for the work, and I still have the exact same issue that I called them with. I even spoke to Sean's supervisor Jim Fish and am awaiting a call back for some kind of resolution. They have my money for work I didn't need, and I still need to get the drainage issue fixed. I feel duped, I feel stupid because they played on my ignorance of how plumbing works, and I feel broken because I'm out $10k and still need major plumbing work done. Buyer beware, make sure you completely understand the work being done, and don't ONLY listen to the sales guy. They talk fast and make a commission on sales. I truly believe Sean played us; I never would have agreed to give over $10k for work that I didn't need, for work that was not in scope for the reason I was vetting plumbers and Repipers. read more

HOPEFULLY I will be able to update this review. We had our whole house done by Repipe Specialists over 15 years ago with their guarantee as one of the reasons they won our business. On Sunday, we reported a leak. No call back. I called Monday morning and by 1PM a technician came to verify the leak (material defect) but did not have tools with him to fix it. We were told someone would call. Nobody did. Called late in the day and Heidi apologized, a supervisor would call back. No call back. Spoke to Heidi the next day (Tuesday). She apologized and said a supervisor would call back. No call back. I called again...no answer. I called the main office and Robert was sympathetic and said he would send the operating office (sub-contractor???) an email. We also sent them an email through the website. Wednesday will be our 4th day with no hot water (2 days without any water). Seems they are quick to respond on Yelp, hoping that is the case here. We just want our water back on. UPDATE - Less than 1 star. This company is the reason plumbers get a bad rap. It took them 3 days to tell me they will NOT honor their guarantee. Why? Apparently water caused the leak. That's right, water. They claim water can cause leaks and therefore it is not a material defect. So, they "offered" to charge us for the repair and if we wanted, they would send the pipe to the "lab" to verify if it is a material defect. So, instead of replacing a $5 piece in 30 minutes and making a customer happy, they and their sub-contractor have this dodge of "offering" a lifetime guarantee, just not fulfilling it. What is the opposite of integrity? Oh...by the way....they charged me $195 to review the leak and THEN tell me they aren't covering it...no refund. Nice, thanks Robert! read more

The install went well and the crew was great. What I don't like is the completely inept way these people bill and accept payments. I couldn't give them a check or pay online, I had to repeat my credit card information to them over the phone. Highly insecure and not professional to not be able to pay online. After I repeated my card information to the lady three times with three error messages on her end, I looked at my bank balance and money was indeed leaving my account! I had to call my bank, reverse everything and now will be sending a check. The lady also asked me to just take a pic of the check and send it to her cell number! Wtf????? It's going in the mail and I will be keeping an eagle eye on all my transactions for any fraudulent activity going forward. read more

We experienced a pinhole leak in a copper pipe in our condo. We knew from talking with neighbors that it was only a matter of time since others had the same experience with the cheap copper piping that was used when the complex was built 42 years ago. I called Repipe Specialist after learning they were the leading company for repiping in SoCal. John came out quickly, explained the process in great detail, and gave us a firm quote. The work was scheduled within a week and the crew completed the repiping in one day. The patching and priming (including texture matching) was done in a day. Both crews were professional and efficient, and the PEX is much quieter than copper piping! We can't recommend Repipe Specialists enough! read more

Horrible Experience. Scheduled a complete home repipe Waited for this company counted on them to show and do the job. On the date of service I found out that this company is not a plumbing company. They are a sales office located in California. They sold my contract to a local plumber who called me in the afternoon to tell me that they will not show up because they're overbooked. After many phone calls of trying to contact the sales person because they had $700 deposit he rescheduled me for the following Friday. I had no choice Took another three days off work because this job takes three days. On Friday once again no call no show. I called a local plumber he told me they're not going to do the job because we do not own our house WTF We own the home call the sales person again who totally lost it and told me that I was a pain in the ass this company is unbelievable. We were without water because of the Houston freeze and the sales person who lied to me from the get go and pretend to be a plumber is telling me that I am a pain in the ass! These people are con artists Pretending to be plumbers Do your homework and hire a local plumber read more

The job was done in two days as promised. It was less than half the price of two plumbers that gave me estimates. I hope the pipes were put in with more skill than the used on patching. The plaster is uneven and there were a lot of lumps splattered on the walls and floor. The clean up was not well done. I had them go back and clean several areas, but there was still a lot for us to scrape off and sweep up.They were polite to our faces, but seemed to be laughing at us when we walked away. read more

Where there's an ant you're going to find an uncle. I found a leak at the entry point coming in my home. In my area there have been many neighbors incurring extensive leaks with expensive repairs so I called a highly rated company I found on Yelp. The nice guy came out and spent over an hour checking every plumbing aspect. He gave me an estimate for repiping plus replacing my 15 year old water heater. Because of his professionalism, courtesy and reputation of the company I planned a start date. Fortunately, the next I saw the Repiping ad in my mail. I called and was connected to their rep Michael. We talked on the phone and then we did a Google Duo throughout my home. The casual and long phone contact was positive but the price was very positive. My decision to go with Repipe has been excellent from start to finish with every part of the crew members with individual tasks! Michael, the sales rep even stayed with me at the end when a minor delay occurred and he made sure everything was perfect. As far as I'm concerned this company is epic. The benchmark for how small businesses with different craft teams should operate. Thank you Michael, Cindy, Rodrigo, Steve, Guierllmo. read more

Repipe Specialists came out to my mothers house and gave a pretty convincing song and dance. They supposedly have "trusted" sub-contractors they have worked with for "years"....Subs come out after contract finalized and a 3 week wait. Music blaring and inappropriate language used throughout multiple work days. Tried to upsell my mother on new ball valve, and denied breaking toilet seat which was perfectly fine "before" worked started. Drywall patching was sloppy and no where near decent quality. I wish I would have read all the horrible Yelp reviews before allowing these clowns in my mothers house. Too bad for them as my cousin and aunt are calling another repipe company. I found Repipe Specialist on the radio! Yes, so we called, made an appointment to have our home evaluated since our water pressure was horrible. Sean, came did his evaluation he then gave us a quote for copper and PEX. He also let us know that we would first need to get the areas tested for asbestos and we did. Upon being notified that it was all negative for asbestos we set up the appointment and here we are. The repiping took one day, the next day patching, and boom here we are happy that we got it done. Excellent crew! Starting from the Sales Rep, Repiping crew, Patchers (a little grouchy), phone contact, and plumber 100% recommendable. Hands down excellent service. read more

These folks re-piped our house in November 2020. We were very happy with the work at that time. They arrived on time, started the work at 8:00, and by 12:30 the water was back on, and they were gone by 2:00. Dry wall repairs were done over the next two days, and were done well. All was good, and the price very reasonable. But... we have an upstairs shower that is rarely used. When we used it after a year, we got only hot water. They said that because of the water pressure change, the cartridge needed to be replaced. They wanted a $125 deposit to schedule a service call to verify the problem. OK, not an issue. They took the $125 very quickly. But for two months now I've been trying to get someone scheduled to come to the house to look at the issue (I even bought a new cartridge for them to install if that truly is the issue). Promise after promise broken...we'll call tomorrow, you'll get a call by Monday. Nothing, nothing, nothing. As long as you don't have a warranty issue, these guys are great. But if you need them to come back, good luck! Update to what I wrote above. After asking for my deposit back and that I was going to figure out the repair on my own, the VP of Operations (who I had been corresponding with for several weeks) said they really wanted me to be a long-term, satisfied customer. So she promised to refund my service call deposit, and they sent someone out to fix the problem today. After all that, they were able to get someone out same day. I'm grateful for the prompt response (finally), and I do believe they genuinely wanted me to be happy. I do recommend them for re-piping. If you need customer service after the fact, you'll have to be diligent to follow-up, but they will come through. read more

I researched repiping our house for months. I called only local plumbers and got a variety of quotes. Everyone who quoted us gave us their take on how to repipe a very difficult house. Our house is on slab with pipes in the slab. I insisted that all pipes be in the walls and not on the roof or over windows (we have no attic, vaulted ceilings throughout the house). The sales rep. (sorry I can't remember his name) was very professional and helpful. He listened to my concerns and made recommendations. He understood that our home was not going to be easy and said he had a crew that could handle the job. The job was scheduled. The workers showed up on time and worked HARD for the entire day. True to their word they repiped the house in one day. The next day the drywall and stucco team came out and did an excellent job matching texture and stucco. I understood it would not be perfect, but their job was top notch. It's been 4 months and we've had a couple of minor problems. Both the sales representative and Steve (plumber) have very responsive. Oh and their price was amongst the lowest we got. I can't recommend them enough. read more

On December 30, 2021, Repipe Specialists sent their team from Universe Plumbing to repipe our home. The process was supposed to take one day. The team had to return on December 31 to complete the job. When they left, our sprinklers could not be turned off without losing water to the whole house, and we had lost the power to nearly all outlets on one side of the house. Universe had to return twice to fix various things but said that the electrical issue had nothing to do with them-it was a grounding issue. New to the area, it took a while to find an available electrician. The electrician started looking for the problem with the grounding (which was fine) and spent two days searching for what had caused the outage. He finally asked to reopen the holes in the bedroom wall that Universe had opened to put in the new pipes. There, he found a cut wire. Once that was repaired, we had power in my office, bathroom and bedroom for the first time in two months. We then had to hire someone to patch and paint. I had been in contact with Repipe and Universe throughout. They did not offer to send back their patching team. We asked for the basic cost of electrical repair ($1500-the total bill was nearly double) and the cost of painting and patching ($800) plus $300 to cover the debacle of the sprinklers (we received a call and warning from the City about water wastage and had a huge mess.) The total requested was $2600. We were offered $1750 because they would have charged $250 to patch and say they are not responsible for sprinklers. We asked for the full $2600. If that wire had not been cut, we would not be out nearly $6000 to restore power and deal with resulting issues. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau and they did not respond. I spoke to the plumbing company that recommended them and they will no longer refer customers to Repipe Specialists for repiping. This turned out to be an overly expensive adventure and we still have piles of old piping they left in the basement. The lack response is especially concerning. Beware. Update 6/1/2022 After leaving messages at the number given by Langley in the company's responce to my review, I finally reached someone and was told never to call, but to email. I hope someone told Langley that! For those of you still hoping for a call back, email processing@repipespecialists.com. read more

I was having small leaks every other month so I called four plumbing companies and only one company came but never sent me an estimate.  The four companies that I called all said they can replace all my water pipes, but they will not patch the holes in the wall. I hear the Repipe specialists commercials on the radio so I gave them a call and sent an estimator the next day.  The price was reasonable and they replaced all the pipes in my three bathrooms, kitchen, and all the outside hose bibs in one day.
