After showing up a few times when they weren't open (yes, check their open hours, only a few days a week, and then only for a few hours each day) I went by today and met the head tech Jack. He was with another customer who clearly had been coming to him for a while, and I listened as he carefully and thoughtfully ran through her issues, made sure she was clear on what was happening, and then offered to stay open a few minutes late if she needed when her repair was ready. He quickly diagnosed the issue (a charger that may or may not be working correctly) and since the charger I brought with me seemed ok offered to send me on my way. I decided to purchase a replacement charger from him just in case and his price was better than I could have gotten online. A few other notes - he has many services and their prices posted on the wall - this is super helpful. Second, he offers a discount to teachers - something I am always in favor of. Honest, good-natured, reasonably priced? Yeah DNS has all of that. The storefront is easy to miss, but if you need quality repairs for your machine, this should be your first stop.
