Sham. As an update: I have been contacted by the owner trying to give me gift cards and other things to make up for my experience if I promise to remove my review. My phone was fixed by another reputable company and I do not want anything from your store. Moreover, this is a review site where we write honest reviews of what happened in our business interactions. I trust and use Yelp myself for many different things and would hope I'm receiving honest reviews which is exactly what mine is. I am not going to get paid off by a business owner. They also have one of their friends harassing me on Yelp with multiple messages asking me to take their deal and remove my review.

I came into PhDFix roughly a week ago after my laptops display for some reason stopped working,…read morewasn't sure why. Within 4 days he gave me a rundown on what parts needed replacement and an estimate of how much the work would cost. It was a motherboard replacement for 650 for my gaming laptop. I came to write this review because many people don't want to write positive reviews about such a large expense, that was their own fault of doing. The guy was extremely kind and listened to what I said about the laptop. He said it would take roughly a week to fix and it was done in a week and a day. No complaints. I started with a nonfunctional laptop and I walked out with a laptop that was fully functional and felt brand new. Thanks so much!

My phone screen was fixed in under 20 minutes. The store was super clean! It seems like they offer a lot of services. As someone who breaks their phone screen a lot, I am usually skeptical of getting it replaced at places like this, but I was so surprised they did not need me phone passcode or any personal information, and the price was reasonable. I highly recommend coming here for screen repair.

I bought the iPhone and was told that if it didn't work, I could return it for a refund. I took the phone to a Sprint store to activate it and was told it wasn't compatible. I texted the guy from the store i Bought it from telling him that I would be back for the refund tomorrow (this is on a Tuesday) he responded telling me that there's no worries he can refund me the money or exchange for a different device. He also said: For some reason they wouldn't be open until Saturday (weird) I ended up coming back that Sunday to get the refund when I texted him he said that it was too late and that 2weeks had passed (btw only a week had passed) and he said that he informed the management and that they will send me the receipt with the refund policy. I drove up to the store and showed him the texts. He pretended like he wasn't the guy I spoke too on Offerup. I cursed him out and called him out on his lies. He gave me my money back fast. He lied and would not own up to the fact hat he tried to scam me. Please. Trust me on this. Do NOT shop here this is a very sketchy business.

I figured it might be something with the ssd. I bought a new ssd and other components and had them install everything. First off, the wiring was really sloppy. Second, random things that I never had an issue with became an issue after getting it back like when I don't touch the mouse and the pc goes into sleep mode, it won't wake back up. I have to long press the power button and enter through bios everytime. Also, I can't type in the windows search bar, or Netflix search bar or a few others. Idk what's up with that, may be unrelated. Normally I am not rash, and churlish enough to toss my phone on a carpeted floor expecting it to land safely. No it bounced and hit the frame of a antique sewing machine, so perfectly that it cracked the screen...okay confession over. So this process took a week and 3 trips. I am willing to accept that some of the overall length of time is "supply chain" [they didn't have my screen model in stock]. However my only knock is the said they would call and never did. I called a few days into the wait. Young man said it was there, so I made the trip (not that far, but still not without hassle). When I arrived he looked around (I would argue that should have been done when I called) and was told to come over. All good we all make lazy mistakes sometimes. Young man was otherwise professional and polite. Anyway the work was done correctly, phone looks like new and $100 lesson in being an impulsive dolt was worth it. Lesson learned, get more sleep during the week, get some exercise, manage stress better so you don't have to go through this first world problem, a dumb problem to create for yourself.
