Had to cut holes in ceiling to repair water damage

A brief Update to my review. After Renovation Roofing replaced my roof I had several leaks that caused internal water damage and they refused to make needed repairs, denied being at fault, blamed others, etc. And in the process came to my house on one occasion without authorization and would not tell me what they did. They belittled me directly to me, and to other people and lied to me and any other third party I contacted to get resolution. I had it inspected by another roofer and was advised it was installed out of compliance if building code. These are just a few of the examples of how I, as a paying customer, was treated by Renovation Roofing as my review would become way to long. I pursued a Contractors State Licensing Board complaint and won that complaint as it was deemed my roof was not installed to building code. My roof was installed October 2018 by Renovation Roofing and I was awarded in August 2019 and then received the money for reimbursement from Renovation Roofing September 2019 and can finally get my roof replaced correctly. This was a horrible and unnecessary experience.

Ray had a great idea to work with what we had vs tearing everything down and spending thousands of dollars.

From the initial estimate to the final walkthrough, the team is punctual, professional, and incredibly detail‑oriented. They explain options clearly, help you choose the right materials and colors, and customize everything on‑site for a seamless fit. The installation is fast, clean, and noticeably high‑quality--no mess left behind, and the gutters look like they were part of the home from day one. They were able to get me scheduled quickly and at a time that worked perfectly for me. They were the only company that actually left samples so I could see the colors and materials in person, which made the decision so much easier. Henia was fantastic throughout the whole process--she kept communication flowing, answered all my questions, and made everything feel seamless. Really great experience from start to finish. Pricing is fair and transparent, and communication is excellent throughout the process. Ethan personally checks the work at the end of the job, which shows how much pride the company takes in its craftsmanship. Highly recommended for anyone in San Diego looking for reliable, top‑tier gutter work.

Quick response from my inquiry, Ethan came as schedule, took measurements, showed me my options, we agreed on what style I'd go with after him explaining the benefits of sizes and what not. Their guys showed up and appeared to have done a great job. Very cordial, walked through the plan, had a couple options for where to run the spouts which was informative, just overall made me feel comfortable in their profession so I greatly appreciated that about them; thanks guys. I had to leave about 30 min before they finished so I didn't get the opportunity to do the walk around, wasn't a big deal as I walked around randomly as they were doing the job. Next morning I checked it out, nothing out of wack. I did however, picked up a two screws from my driveway and piece of cutout on the side of my home. Not a HUGE deal, but I believe I would have noticed it had we did a final walk through together. This doesn't affect the install itself IMO. Lastly, here's my only tiff about the process. Yes, you can pay with credit card and what seems to be the industry standard of the customer eating the 3/4% charge, not terrible, could be better. And maybe I'm just overly sketched but I don't find it secure filling out a CC Auth form with that kind of info and emailing back to the company over unencrypted waves of the good ole internet. I'd just prefer seeing a payment option that's protected by PCIDSS or other safer, more secure payment options. Zelle is an option but Zelle has its daily/monthly limits and prevented me from making one huge payment; very frustrating, and likely frustrating for the company as well. But we worked through that and I appreciate their patience. Overall, I only recommend places or services I've personally used or witnessed. I would feel confident recommending their services. The end product looks amazing. Yes we living in Southern California and love our sunshine, but I'm looking forward to a good rain to test out the product, and afterwards we can return to the sun :).

While he was here, he noticed some pretty serious code violations with a recently installed water heater as well as issues with the electrical panel, things I never would have caught on my own. It's so rare these days to find a contractor who genuinely cares and doesn't just cut corners or do the bare minimum. What impressed me most is that he took the time to send me a very detailed punch list of things that needed attention around the house, purely out of concern for our safety. He had absolutely nothing to gain from doing that. Honestly, it restored my faith that there ARE still honest contractors out there. Because of his generosity and attention to detail, he may very well have helped us avoid some serious safety issues down the line. I was even able to call back the plumber who installed the water heater and will have them come fix the violations free of charge. If you have an older home and especially if you need drainage work done, I strongly recommend getting Albert out there. You may be as lucky as we were and have him catch something important before it becomes a major problem. He also gets in there and at times and works right alongside his crew instead of just supervising from a distance. They worked fast, kept us informed throughout the process, and had a solid team of guys there getting the job done efficiently. Overall, a really excellent experience. TEN STARS!

We were in escrow on a house and found water intrusion during our initial inspection. Alex was very detailed in reviewing the issues with me, providing solutions and helping me prioritize them as well. His visit to the site felt like a second inspection as he noted other concerns with the property and offered helpful suggestions based on his decades of experience. He mentioned he will be offering home inspection services and I would certainly recommend him for this. He is very knowledgeable, a clear communication, and prioritized the health of the house. We will be working with his company on the drainage repair needed at this house when escrow closes.
