Renewal by Andersen is a predatory scam. They literally quoted me FIVE TIMES higher than vinyl windows. They claim to make their own Fibrex windows, so why is it ***$5,000 for a single, small 1.5' x 2.5' picture window***?? Furthermore the Fibrex ingredients are wood dust from their existing operations, so free. Plus polymer which is extremely cheap. Theres no way that window costs more than 1,000 to make. So the install is $4,000? Also I found out that they quoted even higher to me, a single woman, than to my dad who lives in a much more expensive state. So that is a woman tax, they took me for an idiot. That predatory behavior drives me nuts. Only after 2 hours visit did they reveal their insane prices, they wanted ***$120,000*** for twenty windows. Am ded. The guy didnt want to let me think about it, he says, "only 2% of people who think it over end up buying". I WONDER WHY. Boy they thought I was dumb, I'm super offended and I hope to prevent anyone else by getting ripped off by these scammers. I'm also peeved they took up my whole afternoon. read more

We Initially got windows from Renewal by Anderson which was great. One day installed beautiful windows no complaints. We waited four years to get a new patio door because they are expensive. We got our new slider French patio door mid-Dec., the door itself is very nice the lock however has been a nightmare. We upgraded and spent nearly $1000 on the lock alone which only came with 2 keys. Upon installation the lock stuck a bit the installer said that it should get easier within the next couple of weeks. It never did. I needed a third key since we are a house a hold of three adults plus a spare so I went to a specialty store and got additional keys. Those keys work even less than the keys that the lock came with. I called and spoke to Ian in the service department of Renewal by Anderson and expressed my frustrations with the lock. He said we would have to wait until after the holidays, but they would put the order in. I called after the holidays and lo and behold, no one ever placed an order for a new lock. This was about mid January. So they ordered the new lock again. It was supposed to be in almost at the end of January. We never got any type of follow up calls on the lock. In the meantime, I am crawling in through my dog door to enter my home. we are now getting near the middle of February and supposedly the lock will be getting replaced. I have asked for a manager to call me back and I'm still waiting a week now. I don't understand why it takes so long to get a lock in. The doors are custom-made that's understandable. I can go to any hardware store and buy a new lock so why does it take them over two months to get a new lock? I wish I just would've gone through Costco since Costco is obviously more concerned about their customer satisfaction than Renewal by Anderson. I will not recommend this company to anyone. Go through Costco or anyone else who believes in true customer satisfaction. read more

our windows were installed in February and all went well until after the work was done. first the stucco guy didn't do it the way i was written u, so they had to come out and remove and redo the stucco correctly. months later ( August) they call about the inspector needs to see the work done behind the stucco so they remove the stucco again. needless to say we are NOT HAPPY with this. We replaced a sliding glass door and 8 large windows. We are thrilled with the results! Wryder R, Benny, and Quincy did an amazing job with the installation. They showed up on time, were very courteous and respectful, and took the time to explain everything. The windows look fantastic inside and outside. Our new windows should make a huge difference on our electric / AC bill. Our old windows let in tons of heat. I waited until my windows were installed before writing my review. I will break it up into different points. Customer Service: From start to finish the customer service was excellent and I had no issues as others have suggested I haven't been getting phone called everyday or harassed and they made it easy with the at home appointment to pick the windows and have everything done that day Build quality: The windows we got are all very solid and love he thick style frame that seems to be more Saturday and reliable than some of the competitions. These windows have some ability that other competitors did not. Installation: The install guys were quick clean and very helpful if I had any questions. Change in home: Aside from the look, I have noticed my AC not having to run as long as well as an overall cooler feel in the house. I am coming from aluminum style single pane windows so this was a huge upgrade. Price: I want to knock them down on their price but it's not like they lie about it. I got 9 windows installed including one huge one and it ran about 17k but for the build quality the style and overall look I say it was worth it. For comparison I would buy an Audi over a Chevy Malibu. I only included the large window in front and some of the slider / picture windows. The bathroom one is amazing as well though and the other windows are of the same style. read more

They also were harassing and trying to pressure my elderly neighbor to purchase new windows after he had told them no multiple times. Walking away laughing saying " we'll be back" after other neighbors got involved is unprofessional and uncalled for. The windows themselves might be decent but the cheap way that they finish them and the HIGH cost for them isn't worth it. I live in Juneau, AK and was approached by a Renewal by Andersen office in Anchorage. Not only was the estimate given to replace our windows outrageously expensive, the young man who visited our home to check our windows and provide an estimate was either incompetent or dishonest. He told me our windows were not plumb, which he checked with a small level that he brought with him. He said that settling or some other foundation movement might have caused it. After he left, I borrowed a level from a neighbor and checked all the windows, none of which were out of alignment. read more

Totally underdelivered and underwhelmed. First installers George and company didn't put caulking on my room window. Said they will come back the coming Saturday, turned out company is closed Saturday. Yet they charge twice the rate for less the windows. You try to leave low stars in Google and it won't let you. Fifteen windows, three sliders. One slider did not have weather stripping and the screen was shipped broken. Installers were professional, polite and knowledgable. A new screen/stripping were ordered. Had appointment for new screen/stripping, installers arrived, screen was damaged, no stripping. Advised they would reorder both. Appointment made, installers arrived, screen was damaged and no stripping. Made appointment after suggesting they check the screen before going out for install. Received call day of scheduled install, screen damaged no stripping. We've had to pay to have motorized window covers removed for stripping install, multiple times. Finally just went with leaving window covers off, which has now been months. So far the windows are functioning great, it's the follow through that makes one bitter. We accommodated all request, any time of day etc., endured added expense removing and installing motorized window covers multiple times. Their supply chain is letting them down. read more

Although the sliding door is very solid and sound, I am disappointed in the color. When the hard-sell rep sold this to me, he said the color would be the closest to what I need. I live in a condo community with design standards and the colors of windows, etc., need to be consistent. The sales person said the color I ordered was the closest. Well it was not. The installers told me that there is a light color that would match better. NOW, I will likely need to replace this door, or paint it. I received a call right after installation to find out how well the install was. It was good, but I complained about the color issue. This person on the phone said someone would call me within 48 hours. NOTHING. I then sent an email. NO REPLY. It seems Anderson ONLY cares about the upfront sale, and really is not concerned about after the fact concerns. They are the most expensive windows, but why? There is no follow up customer service. We placed a large order with Andersen in September 2021. We were given a delivery date of Dec 30, 2021. It was not until the delivery date past that we were told that our order was being delayed to January...January comes and goes...now the delivery is March. It is currently April 2022 and we were just told that the most likely delivery date is NOVEMBER 2022. The communication has been atrocious. The expectation management is unreal. I am so upset as we cannot finish our kitchen renovation without these windows. We have so many other window projects to work on and I will certainly never work with Andersen again. We are now in a situation where we are looking to completely change vendors because the experience has been so so awful and unreliable. Would never recommend Andersen to anyone. read more

* Sept 13, 2021 Made order * Sept 30, 2021 Measurements taken * Dec 28, 2021 Window installation * Dec 29, 2021 Window installation - INSTALLED WRONG WINDOW IN KITCHEN. Had to live with a frosted glass window over my sink until a replacement sash could be ordered. IT DID NOT COME UNTIL APRIL 12TH OF 2022!! Also noted that trim around outside of windows was not installed correctly. Pieces were not lined up on the front casement window and areas were dented. Had to send someone out to repair this TWICE. This casement also had a section of caulking missing. * Jan 7 2022 Window staining for the original installed windows. Told me that the replacement sash on order for the kitchen would come stained from the warehouse and not to worry. IT DID NOT. * January 26, 2022 noted large buildup of ice on the INSIDE of the glass on the inside main living room casement window. They inspected this after I complained and stated it would need to be replaced. Lived with ice build-up on inside of window ALL WINTER. Took until June of 2022 to make appointment to replace (that didn't work out either) * Thursday April 12 - installed replacement sash in kitchen. When they replaced the sash with the correct glass, although they ASSURED me it would come stained to match my windows, it was not stained at all. Stated they would send someone to stain it. As of June of 2022, it is still not stained. * March 20th, 2022 noted condensation BETWEEN BOTH windows in master bedroom. Sent out technician who used some type of gadget to measure gas inside window. He told me it was "fine". Both of these windows fog up inside on and off regularly. * June 21, 2022 took day off to replace window that gets ice buildup inside and stain kitchen sash. Please note, when scheduling this replacement, I specifically discussed that I STILL needed the sash of the kitchen window stained. As I have to take time off work every time they come out to make repairs, I wanted it done on this date. The scheduler assured me the window replacement AND the staining would be done on this date. They showed up and had no work order to stain the sash. In addition, the replacement window they sent to install was damaged. They would have to reorder it again and schedule another time to install. On June 9, 2021, we purchased two patio doors, which were to be installed October 1. We were assured that all their doors were made in the U.S. The doors came in December without screen doors. Also they were supposed to be identical. They are not. After dozens of calls, we were told the screen doors would be installed the first week of March 2022. In fact, in mid February, Renewal by Andersen called to say the doors had arrived. The day before the installation, Renewal by Andersen notified us that they couldn't find the screen doors. No explanation. No apology. We called and called and weeks later were told that they expect our screen doors to be shipped from the factory next July! (The factory is in Minnesota, a six-hour drive from our home.) That means a summer without being able to use our deck or patio for fresh air. Renewal was not even able to confirm that there would be a delivery in July. More than a year after purchase!!! We understand that we are encountering a supply chain issue from products shipped from other countries. That is why we purchased from a company which guaranteed that their products were U.S. made. Their customer service, pretentiously named concierge, is less than adequate. In order to get through to a human being, I had to call the showroom-the sales force is there- and beg to be transferred to a manager. Now we have very expensive patio doors and have to search for a company which can make screen doors to fit them. Right Product WRONG Distributor Most companies position sales and service as a team. NOT Renewal by Andersen of Arizona (Tempe). I placed a $22K total window replacement in August 2021. While waiting for installation I had a few questions. I reached out to the sales rep and waited 6 days for a response. His response attacked my character and was highly patronizing. I blew that off and reached out again with a phone call and then an email. The last two attempts to communicate received no response. My installation was scheduled for November 10th. The installation was on time, clean and well coordinated. The only problem I had was being shorted two major items. The following week I received a phone call rescheduling the installation of the shorted items for December 13th. The day before the scheduled install I received a call telling me the appointment had to be canceled due to "lack of resources". I called to find out what the H and was told my installation was still on the schedule. Then on the same call I was told the items were "back ordered". What really happened here is the installation crew is making me pay for negative comments I made in the on-line review because of their poor sales support. If there was honesty along with transparency I highly doubt I would have been told they were "lacking resources". My last attempt to resolve the issue was directed towards sales management. That was 8 days ago I still have not received a response. If you like honesty, integrity and transparency when making hi-dollar purchases I suggest you find a different distributor or brand, like Pella, Milgard, Reliabilt and etc. read more

Here is the deal, was supposed to have two windows installed, but one set of windows were different size, the second was not installed due to this problem. During the first window installed, the inspector found the screen had damaged and had to reorder the screen. The second problem was that today I was going to have my new screen installed, received a call saying that they received the screen with damaged. I called because because of a voice message and returned the call, as I was explaining to them, as to why all the delays, the person on the phone was laughing, while trying to explain to her about these bad experiences I been having with this company. The installers are not to blame, it's the manager is to blame for all the occurrences through the whole process is terrible, I will not recommend this company to anyone, 1. Process is bad. 2. The people on phone are unprofessional. 3. It takes way to long to receive what you pay for. This is my honest review on this company. UPDATE: The Asst. General Manager contacted me with my concerns and apologized. He also took the time to explain some of the problems we had (delays and short staffing). I appreciated him taking responsibility for the company's mis-steps. He also came up with a solution for the problems we have encountered with the door. Thanks for standing behind your product Renewal by Andersen. Kate was great. Installers are great. Product great. Here's where the problems start. Windows and customs door was ordered, and we were told one time frame; unfortunately, order ended up taking much, much longer (months longer). This we understood. However, no one bothered to contact us to inform us of the delay, and trying to get anyone to call you back or respond is impossible. We received a text stating we were scheduled for installation. No call, no asking if it was fine. Just, "We will be there on this day." Installation men were awesome, very professional. We were not told that only the windows arrived, not the custom door. Another 3 weeks to a month, and the door is installed. Great, it looks awesome. We were very happy with it. Then, one day, we got locked out of the house and now realize that the custom BUILT door the built for us you can literally reach in and unlock both locks through the dog door (that was built with the door). I have used Renewal by Andersen twice in the past without great satisfaction. Unfortunately, this week, the third contact was anything but successful. I contacted Renewal by Andersen earlier this week, made an appointment to meet at my new house two hours away. The appointment was confirmed by REnewal by Andersen for 2PM Friday. We drove to our new house. The Renewal by Andersen never showed up. I called them to be told that they had to reschedule. I was surprised but kept my composure. The person put me on hold and hung up on me. We were frustrated because it was not consistent with our prior positive experience. Anyway, we decided to go with our second option since Renewal by Andersen did not reach out. We never received any notification by mail or phone of the cancellation. Did get good stucco guys after first ones came out with no supplies complained to salesman he has us call installation team. Finally ready to finish and baseboard piece not made after two weeks waiting so heading toward 3 weeks and complaining doesn't work so DO NOT PAY till job is complete. We have twice purchased and had windows installed by Renewal by Andersen of Phoenix, secondary to leaking windows. The first time went off without any problems, the second time (May 2023) we had four additional windows replaced in our home. (again, secondary to leaking) 5.26.23 Five windows were installed. After a rain, we noticed that one of the new windows was leaking. 8.1.23 Contacted Andersen and told them the window was leaking after it rained. 8.16.23 Andersen sent **** out to repair the window. they worked on the window for 1/2 an hour, took off the trim at the top, and then stated, " it is correctly installed" and left. We have had a total of 11 windows installed by Andersen, and this is the only one that leaks. 8.17.23 Called Andersen @ 480-967-2597 spoke with a female, and she told me that someone would call me back within 24-48 hours. 8.27.23 Still have not received call back from Andersen. I had all my windows replaced as well as 2 sliding doors. The materials were overpriced and quality was exaggerated. You can still feel the heat of the sun through the windows. The sound that comes through the closed windows and doors is the same as old even though glass is supposedly thicker. I am not saving any energy with these new windows. All that is covering the edges is a flimsy piece of sheet metal which heat and cold can easily pass through. The sliding doors pop open when closed and don't latch properly. They windows don't seal completely and some even slide back and forth when in the locked position. They are NOT worth the money I paid for for "top of the line" windows. Never again read more

The product is nothing what it looks likes in the pics you see. They pull the old window frame, and do nothing to mitigate disrupting the water barrier. They literally put tape and caulk around where the old window used to be and expect that to stop potential leaks. Spoke with an installer, and agreed that the install method was a joke, yet that is what they are instructed to do. The correct way to install replacement windows is to reflash the new window to the sheathing, and the installers do not do that. Long story short, you get an awesome window, with and absolutely horrible install process where the only thing keeping your new windows from an outside leak is a bead of caulk. Unless you re-flash the windows, your new windows are still gonna leak. read more
