So I scheduled an appointment for them to come out and get me pricing on my Arcadia door. I had to reschedule, my fault. I initially indicated that me as well as my wife would be home for the initial appointment. When I tried to reschedule the appointment taker asked me if my wife was going to be there for the rescheduled appointment, I told her no it would be just me. She said that they really wanted to reschedule when my wife was available. So when I told her the next time I thought that we could do that. She said they don't schedule 3 weeks out. When initially tried to reschedule it was for 5 days later, you know, when my wife wasn't there. This project is my idea. I'm going to make the decision on who we go with. This project is a done deal. We've already decided we want it done before summer. Fact is, if pricing is close, I'm going to go with the service that can get it done first. My experience has been misleading, frustrating, and costly, spanning 1.5 years with no resolution. Timeline of Events: April-May 2024 - Purchase: * I signed a contract for ten windows, installed May 1, 2024. * Sales rep Mr. Adrian Iafrate repeatedly assured me that noise reduction and quality were top priorities. * Mr. Adrian Iafrate sent a presentation video showing near-silent sound transmission. * Renewal's website promised STC 34 sound reduction, dual-pane glass, and argon gas. May 1, 2024 - Installation: * Installed by multiple crews from Southwest Windows & Doors LLC (dba Renewal by Andersen). * Two gliding windows (~$4,500 each) had broken locks; one shed parts within a week. * One double-hung window partially detached within two weeks. * Misaligned panels, inconsistent caulking, and stucco damage. May-June 2024 - Complaints: * I contacted Mr. Adrian Iafrate (sales) suggested a "bad batch." * Mr. Tyler Pershall (manager) suggested wrong glass. * No corrective action was taken. Just read reveiws no matter where you the reveiws are 75% 1 star reveiws all across the country. They wasted 90 minutes of my time coming to my house. I didn't do any research until afterwards. $28'000 to do 7 windows I countered with $7'000 then he tried $24'000 I countered with Im gonna read some reviews and do some research got at least 2 other quotes that when the clown said $14'000 wait I thought you said $28'000 now you can do $14'000 what a scam artist. Renewal by Anderson (RnB) in short is a three card Monty. Business. They hide the total price until late in the game so watch the details'!!!! The bottom line cost is 3 to 4 times more than Homedepot. Ok the product is very very good but the ethics are just plain scandalous. It's not worth it. And the errors they make in ordering a single swing entry door is very very bad. It took three times to get it right. Thus a fail in service. I'd love to give them a negative score. Home Depot did not break a single window when they replaced four several years ago. RnB. Broke four out of ten windows in the removal process. Honestly I'm disappointed with 2 of the 6 windows that were recently installed. The 2 double hung windows steam up and are collecting moisture on the inside. This is happening now that the weather has turned cold. On new expensive windows this is hard to ignore. When I contacted Anderson's service team,( they have made two trips to my home) they said this "Just happens sometimes". Unfortunately that doesn't solve the problem. Interior condensation can lead to mold and damage to the wood trim, so being told it sometimes happens is not helpful. I live in a home that is 100 years old and do not have moisture on the inside of the original windows. At this point I am not satisfied with the product performance or the response from the technicians. I would like a permanent fix or replacement on these windows. read more

Waited 4 months for initial installation only to find out the screen door does not fit. They sent numerous people out and finally ordered a new screed door that took two more months to get and still did not fit. It has been 8 months so far and $55,000+ to have a door that doesn't fit. I was trying a second time to have a consultant come to my house and give quotes on new doors. The company seems to have great pricing but they have just not shown up to the scheduled appointments. Aside from the 118 day wait for installation, I'm beginning to have doubts about Renewal by Anderson. The installation of two patio doors went smoothly. The installers were on time, were neat and helpful and worked efficiently. At the conclusion of the installation, I was given a demonstration of the door operation and was satisfied. I was told to keep the doors closed for 24 hours. The next day, I had extreme difficulty opening one of the doors for an inspection by our local municipality, as is required. I immediately called RbA, gave information about the problem, and was asked to provide pictures. I emailed a number of pictures. This was on a Friday. As I had heard nothing by Wednesday, I called again. I had a phone number for "if you have any questions". There are so many departments that getting through to the appropriate person is a difficult task. Finally, I got through and asked for a status on my installation fix. I was told that the pictures had been received, but was asked again which door had the problem. After a really thorough and lengthy scouring of their service calendar, I was told that they could fix their problem one day short of three weeks after the installation!! Yes, I am pissed. This was not an inexpensive purchase, 118 days seems like a long time for manufacturing 2 doors-unless they were stuck on a boat somewhere. The one door works well, as expected. I'm worried that the other door-if it ever gets fixed-may be an expensive lemon, with frequent 3 week waits for repair. Edit: the repair tech showed up on time. I explained the problem, and he took charge of the situation. Obviously an expert, IT TOOK HIM SIX MINUTES TO FIX IT! The door works properly now, but why it wasn't "fixed" during installation remains a mystery. read more

After I reached out yesterday, we got a very vague email stating their scheduling system malfunctioned and didn't transfer our contact information properly. This morning I got a call from their sales guy asking to follow up about a quote he provided. When I told him we never received a quote because no one showed up for our appointment, he hung up on me. We've spent nearly $100,000.00 on whole house replacement windows only to find out that Renewal By Anderson does not honor their warranty on their true-view window screens. The sales person, Kaleb, recognized that the screen failed, hiwever the service department would not honor the claim. We could buy another screen door but they wouldnt repair the existing door with new screening material. In retrospect we feel we should have chosen a more reputable window company. read more

Besides very high pressure sales tactics their customer service sucks. They still have fix our sliding door that we payed out of pocket for because our puppy chewed a piece of weather stripping. They replaced it with tape on crap not the original stuff that goes in a track. Once you pay them good luck. Honestly they have a great product but you can buy the same windows for much less at any distributer. Their system is so clunky and it has taken us ALL YEAR to replace 4 sliders. We signed a contract in February, they came out for the first install in April. They ordered multiple wrong parts and gaslit me into telling me that what was in my house was what was on my contract. After sending google images and speaking with the area manager they finally admitted to their mistake and reordered all my doors. They did this sleezy thing where they tried to get my replace more windows in my house so I could get free replacement doors for a project that they originally did wrong i the first place. They came back in August to reinstall. Guess what, they forgot a screen and installed the wrong trim. Pine trim for an oak door. Anyways we're in end of September and I still don't have my project finished. Wish I just hired a contractor and bought the doors myself, they are like $2500 at cost and almost $8k with renewal, installed. The worst part is that every time I want to speak to somebody I can't I have to wait for them to call me. LOL!! read more

Ordered black windows, they came with discoloration, I was told "that's normal with the black." Not sure why you wouldn't tell me that BEFORE I spent $4k per window, especially when your entire sales pitch is that the windows don't warp or fade. Response times for resolution discussions were lacking and resolution options were subpar. These windows are 4x the cost of the other guys and the color quality and customer service isn't aligned to the price point. We'd planned to do our entire house with them but ended up going elsewhere. They're a huge turn and burn corporation who doesn't care about repeat business or reputation. You would think for being as expensive as they are their service and quality would be better. - over two months waiting for windows, and NIGHT before install call to tell me they didn't check the materials and had to wait 6 more weeks for rest of window they could install partially finished but then had to wait minimum 6 more weeks. -high pressure sales tactics; give you discount to decide that day and not meet with anyone else. They are afraid of competition - Greensky lender they have you do lending with has CFPB complaints and is very shady lender. Complaints with BBB about not letting you pay off your loan. - Sales Manager called and yelled at customer when his materials didn't arrive on time because he thinks people should just accept flawed windows for $20k. - Renewal by Anderson of Arizona is hurting the renewal by Anderson name. read more

We were willing to pay more for the windows than some of the other companies we looked at thinking we were getting a quality product from a quality company that stood behind their product. 10 years later we have leaking windows again. This Company does not standing behind their product and is charging thousands of dollars to repair the issue that is causing a leak. im sorry I spent SO much money have had tech out 3 x to repair stuff. handles keep coming loose on doors. the condensation is ridiculous. ( oh but they give you a book about it) there seems to be very cold air coming in around them ( it's winter). installation was great until it rained. put them off by a day & on last day of install only 2 guys showed up & rushed to finish. didn't clean up like they promised. they sure look good, though. & I sincerely hope they add to resale value, which is why we got them. NEVER AGAIN. WAY too much money for what u get. Go with a cheaper company. salesperson was very high pressure & very little support after sale. All in all, regret buying Andersen. read more

I'm a year late to writing this review, but our experience was EXCEPTIONALLY good. Joe Britton was our sales representative who came to our house, gave us very in depth demonstrations and information about the windows, and was our contact while we waited for installation. He was fantastic (he also later helped refer us to a trusted company to have a storm door installed later on). The man who came to measure our windows and doors was also very kind and easy to work with (and quick). The day of door and window installation was WILDLY impressive. The most efficient operation I've ever witnessed. There must have been 15 guys all over our house, all working diligently. Every window in our home was replaced in our home in half a day, plus two sliding glass doors. It was shockingly clean and quick. Yes, it was a hefty (!) investment. But our experience was incredibly good and the final product has been AMAZING. Arizona summers with these new windows have been a completely different experience. Andersen replaced three bedroom windows in my home, built in 1982. The windows were done so professionally that they look like they have always been there. Not a chip or nick anywhere. Chase and Daniel did a great job, didn't leave a spec of dirt behind, and explained everything along the way. They were very polite with me, and with each other. I overheard them saying "please" and "thank you" to each other. The windows are built well and installed well. I have no qualms about recommending them. read more

From Amanda the sales consultant, Derek and Robert lead project mgrs., to the install crew-Big Mike, Ches, and Antony-customer service has been outstanding and the product end result has exceeded my expectations! I was so impressed with the product and service, that two days after this install, I ordered a new 3-sectioned living room window! Could I get them cheaper from the box stores, yes but would I have been as happy with the results or the end product? Perhaps. But I thought why chance it. I prefer the whole package deal. Arrived with 3 windows. One was broken but had been at their facility for 6 weeks without being inspected. I told the scheduler that window would require interior and exterior scaffolding but exterior was denied by the team leader. The crew was not able to access the outside upper window via ladders. Installation delayed to following day after scaffolding installation. New window was order on January 27th. Received a call today to schedule installation of the 2nd window. No date available until APRIL 9th!!!!!!!!? I paid over $16,000 dollars for these windows and it will end up being over 7 months before final installation. It is Anderson's fault that this 2nd installation is required and you would think they would give it priority. They did put me on the cancellation "list" but who knows how many other people are already on it. Would not buy from them again. read more

Tried to call customer service to inquire about a door I would maybe have installed and all the juvenile that answered the phone did was ask me for my name, my address, my phone number, my email address, if I was a current customer, who my designer is, and did everything but answer my question about the door. With Renewal by Andersen, you get the product reputation of Andersen Windows with the master work of passionate installers" is a complete joke. See for yourself! We sent them these photos immediately after they "fixed" the issues we've been asking them to fix for two years. We haven't heard from them since. I do have new windows in half my house that are aesthetically pleasing and better than the builders grade windows it came with. I had a very bad experience with this organization. I was told it was a fluke and highly out of the normal operations for this organization or this area. I perhaps just had a solitary bad experience with installation workmanship, timing, and paperwork. I am unlikely to do business with this organization again. I fear investing in large home projects and this one was huge. Our home was built in 1978 and our window framing & seals were on their last leg. Both our sliders were in horrible shape due to the house settling. You could feel the heat rolling in at every angle. We did our first appointment in October and our salesman was excellent. He was not an outlier at all, as every single person involved in this process was top notch from measuring to install. RBA also coordinated with a company that built security screens for our sliders as they needed to be preordered. The process from our first sales meeting to install was long. It took several months. And we started to stress about the cost during the wait just because we had time to stew. Now that we're in the Phoenix summer, I can say we have no regrets. These windows have made a world of difference for keeping the heat out. Another benefit has been that they block sound so well and RBA never mentioned that; they should. They installed a total of eight windows in three different styles and two sliders. One window needed to be replaced due to faulty rollers and that took time but everything they did just looks beautiful and the company gave us quality service every step of the way.
