Got our homes windows replaced this week. Would highly recommend Freelite after getting Competitive bids from Home Depot, Pella, and Andersen. Their prices were fair, the scheduling was organized and on time, and their installers were professional, helpful, and polite. Would recommend! read more

Had three old skylights replaced and couldn't be happier. Good price and great installation. I would highly recommend these folks.

Excellent customer service and products at a competitive price. These guys know what they are doing. Highly recommended.

when my 30 y.o. dome skylites began leaking in 4/2024,i hired freelite inc. to replace them.in 10/2025 the new skylites leaked staining the ceiling and rug below. both the owner and installer insisted it was my roof. they tried to upsell me rather than stand behind their under warranty product. the condensation was between the 2 plastic dome layers. 3 months later installer tony arrived to install the new ones. he was hostile, extremely rude refusing to even talk to me. i asked him to leave and leave the skylites behind uninstalled. They are not a reputable company. read more

What went well?? Everything! Freelite exceeded my expectations!! From the moment I requested a quote to the complete install of my skylight, everyone was professional and kind. It was installed with ease and pride and everything was explained to me. Thank you Freelite, I will refer anyone looking for new skylights, windows, or doors!! read more

1). Josh did a great job: listening to what I envisioned, the measurements, quote and my technical questions about the energy efficiency of the windows. I felt comfortable with the purchase. 2). Good communication about the schedule from the office. 3). Windows arrived ahead of schedule and fit perfectly. 4). The install team was spot on. a). They respected my request to mask up when inside the house. My wife is COVID susceptible due to lung issues. I really appreciated that. b) They did a great job taking out the old windows. The contractor we used for another job left large pieces of broken glass that were dangerous to our dogs. These guys had a system that was well thought out. 5) The windows are great, good looking as expected (from the work we did with the salesman) and you can already feel the efficiency benefit by the way the room feels. I will use them when I replace my front windows. read more

First-rate! Freelite replaced the aging 1980s skylights in my house. Very satisfied! Three years later I contacted them and they gave me transparent pricing and excellent service for replacing our 16 ancient aluminum windows with new ones, double-paned, that reduce the glare and heat from outside. Great job, good follow-up and none of the song-and-dance that other bids offered. Thoroughly professional! read more

They did a fantastic job installing a skylight in our dining room. The finish and look matches the room like it's always been there, and I can't think of a higher complement for the work they did. We will consider them for any future skylights or window replacements! read more

Nothing but amazing feedback about this company!! I would give 10 stars if I could. Being new to the community I had to make a tough decision on who to trust and not knowing enough about windows it made it even more daunting. Luckily I came across Freelite and the rep who helped me made it very simple to understand. They really understood what needed to be done and helped me out and the installation team was very nice and respectful. Thanks again! Would recommend! read more

Highly recommend Freelite for your window needs. We had several windows put in, replacing our old (admittedly, quite out-of-date) windows and they were extremely quick and efficient with getting us our windows, and everyone we spoke with was friendly and informative, which made us feel really confident in their expertise. If you're considering finally taking on that home improvement project, check out Freelite. Thanks again! read more

I am a Realtor and I feel very confident in referring Freelite to any and all of my clients and I do not do that lightly! The installed new patio doors for me this month and they were professional, courteous and responsive every step of the way. From the initial sales call to the installation and follow through I could not have been more pleased and as a Realtor I am a picky customer as Service is so very important in my business! read more

Fantastic job on the two Sun tunnels that were installed in my bathroom and kitchen. They really brighten up the two darkest rooms I had in the house. Quick response when I contacted them for pricing and they were out and had them installed in my rather oddly asked for locations without any real issues and the work was top quality. Thanks for the great job! read more

This is one of the few companies I did not have ANY problems with during my construction in the middle of all this CoVid crazyness. They showed up when they said they would. Communicated when shipping delays happened by supplier. Finished on schedule, accommodating for changes due to living in a historical home, and professional. All workers wore mask as I am immune suppressed and were respectful of my health concerns. Great quality product and half the price of the other bid. They corrected their own mistakes without charging me for them. Hired windows cleaners for free and reinstalled the blinds. This is my second project with them and both went well. read more

I would avoid this business at all costs. My experience consisted of the following: - The salesperson, Tom, lied about the order deadline and delivery time. He said that if I placed my order on a Monday or Tuesday they would have my three windows by the following Monday or Tuesday. The order was placed midday Tuesday. Tom emailed a week later, when I was expecting to receive the windows, saying that I had not supplied payment for the deposit by the deadline. He first lied saying the deposit was paid a day later than it actually was. I told him to check the dates on our email thread, at which point he said he was new and didn't know when the manufacturer's deadline was. Not until I repeatedly expressed my dissatisfaction was any type of apology provided. The result was that my order would not arrive until the following Thursday, so it went from a week for delivery to three weeks. - The rep from the window manufacturer contacted me later to inform me that the order had arrived, but Tom had placed it for the wrong windows. This resulted in a new order having to be placed, which of course delayed delivery another week. - I was under the impression that I was paying a 50% deposit, and that the remainder would be collected upon delivery of the order. I was actually charged the full amount AND the salesperson Tom failed to add tax to the original quote. Calculating tax and adding it to a quote seems pretty elementary, and it's fundamental in managing customer expectations. This is apparently not practiced at Freelite, though. Perhaps they have just one dishonest and incompetent salesperson. Regardless, these types of business practices should absolutely not be supported. Will never do business with them again and, of course, would never recommend them. read more

I recently purchased my first vacation home in Scottsdale that needed a little TLC and being brand new to the area and out-of-state, I was nervous and stressed having to shop around locally to find out how to update about a dozen windows and sliding doors since it is easy to be taken advantage of when you clearly don't know anything. After calling around to get some quotes and advice since I know nothing about windows and glass, the reps at Freelite were the only ones that were genuine and patient with me by being willing to help me through my dumb questions and even go out of their way to educate me based on what would work best for my specific home and style, all while actually giving me the most competitive price around! I worked with Tony who I couldn't recommend enough. It's clear he takes pride in his work and provides a great service making sure you are 110% happy. We had about 10 windows replaced and 2 sliding glass doors and they were able to complete it faster than expected and with great communication and coordination, and no surprise hidden costs or any bs at the end. Very stress free experience unlike some of the other local contractors and businesses I have been working with to rehab my new home. Thank you again so much Freelite for making this so easy, I've never appreciated glass and windows so much! read more

5 reasons why this company deserves 10 stars: ~ 1) Great products. These are not your grandmothers skylights. ~ 2) Competitive prices ~ 3) On Time Appointment (so many contractors are late for the party!) ~ 4) Been in biz for decades, and have excellent standing with the contractors board and BBB! ~ 5) Job complete in 1 day with ZERO mess read more

Great experience with Freelite in having 3 tube skylights installed. I called for a quote on a skylight. Right on their website it say free estimates for skylight replacement. I was told on a phone 60.00 fee. I said it is free on your website. If you change the rules change your website. Then I was told I am mistaken that is for windows. Well not it wasn't. I have done business with you in the past . Not anymore. Keep your estimated because you are problematic just too expensive and that is why you now need to charge for free estimates. read more

We had the greatest experience using Freelite to replace a 12-foot sliding glass door to our back patio. The old slider was original to our mid-century home and we were a little nervous about choosing the right replacement. We received excellent advice on the type of window, the level of tinting, the locking mechanism, and every other aspect of the replacement, seamlessly integrating it all with our home and decor. Every aspect of the sale and installation was professional and Freelite's customer service was first class. We just love our new door! We highly recommend this company. read more

I loved my experience with this company. The owner, Chip, was super helpful and reliable and gave us the best price out of five bids. The three gentlemen who installed our door and windows were awesome. I believe their names are Doug, Eddie and Dylan. They made the whole process fun. They are professional but fun, charming and are great communicators. They worked hard and fast but also took the time to tell me everything they thought I should know regarding the products. Much better service than I probably would have received from a big company. read more

They replaced a large window; did a great job and didn't leave a mess for us to clean up. They also matched our existing windows perfectly (with another brand). The cost was exactly what we expected, and follow up was good. We would use them again, without question. read more

This should be less than one star. These guys are horrible. Made appointment weeks in advance and they cancelled the day of, with no concerns. Hire at your own risk. I was able to find a higher rated company who actually apologized for My bad luck and had a technician out there for my original appointment with Freelite. Maybe I should have the Freelite guys give a call to learn how to properly run a business read more

Amazing company...the owner, Chip Marvin, personally came and measured for our new Dutch door. He and his staff kept me apprised of arrival, delivery, and installation dates. I was very pleased with the overall installation and service of Freelite. Owner Chip Marvin came out initially to survey the project and was patient and informative during the discovery process. He helped determine which Skylight would work best and in which area. The crew worked hard and the texture & drywall technician was excellent. The skylight looks fantastic and I would recommend this company to anyone in the market for a skylight or solar device. read more

Fantastic experience from start to finish! We replaced ALL of our windows and added a few new ones. Josh came out to do the estimate. He was on time and very helpful. There weren't any high-pressure sales tactics (like I experienced with the other two estimates I got from different companies). I went with Freelite because of the honest dealings with Josh. Guy and Matt came out to double-check measurements and were like a well-oiled machine. You could tell these guys had been in the business a long time. Window installation went really smoothly (for an old house). Guy and Matt were able to make on-site adjustments. They were very professional, worked their tails off and cleaned up after their work. The final product is outstanding and we couldn't be happier. read more

We had Home Story come out to give us an estimate on replacing 2 sets of closet doors. We wanted the white wood framed mirrored kind. The estimate was approx. $2100 for 2 sets of doors. We emailed the installer the next day to ask if we could get a discount if we did 6 sets. Never heard back. We drove to the Phoenix showroom to see the doors in person and asked the same question. He promised to get back to us. So far it has been 2 weeks with no answer. Meanwhile we found we can order the same doors from Home Depot for $275 per set--and the Home Depot mirrors are beveled! The Home Story doors are not. Apparently they did not need our business. read more

Freelite does holes filled with glass in all manner possible. After my parents had their windows done, I decided to look at the two companies they had been to, and while the other company didn't call me back, Freelite did and was on time to almost every appointment except for one, where the gentleman called ahead 20 minutes before to let me know he was going to be 10 minutes late. Things can always go wrong but communication is amazing! The windows are now installed and they look amazing, keep out the dust and elements, and are starting to open better now that they're getting worn in (1 week). The installers themselves were very careful to not leave a mess or damage my new floors. They blanketed my house with plastic and carefully carried everything where they needed it, and when they left, there was no mess. All I had to do was a little bit of repainting which was mentioned to me ahead of the quote signing. Finally, although fortunately nothing went wrong, they graciously provided proof that they are licensed, bonded, insured, and installers are worker's comp covered. The ONLY downside is that I had some trouble getting my quote back via e-mail, but they were apparently having problems with their computer systems. Regardless, the end result was worth it as all 15 of my questions and concerns were answered and the quote was accurate and the product is fantastic! read more

The Freelite people were great! If they said Friday, they were here on Friday at the exact time they said they'd be here. They kept the dust and the mess to a minimum and left the living room in mint condition. And the men who came to put the finishing touches on the job were absolute artists. Everyone did beautiful work. And we couldn't be happier! Terry & Ferguson Hill read more

I requested a consultation on line for French doors. No one called, sent an email or anything. Their web site and their actions are complete opposites. If they cannot help you or do not have the product you asked about at least they should say something like: "We appreciate your interest on our business. Unfortunately we are unable to help you at this time." read more

My husband and I have used Freelite services for several projects in our home including skylights, total replacement of all our windows and exterior doors, including a decorative front door, plus specialty indoor room doors and closet doors. Every project was completed on time and in the manner expected. We have referred several of our neighbors to Freelite and have heard great comments from them after also using Freelite for windows and doors. Chip Marvin is easy to work with and has good ideas when asked. All the workmen did a great job and were clean and presentable plus they left our home in great condition when the work was finished. We've used Freelite on all our windows and doors for 15 years. The latest installation was typical. Chip took the time to design to find the perfect Pella windows for our mid-century modern house, preserving all of the architectural lines that define our home. The installation crew with Matt and Tony was impressive, from the fit and finish to the timing and cleanup. I've priced windows from other companies, but I've always chosen Freelite. And I've always been happy with the result. read more

Freelite does excellent work. Chip came out to look at my three skylights, all about 35 years old, and explained clearly and carefully what needed to be done to replace them and what my options were. What's great is not just that the prices were competitive with other companies. Rather, from the initial consultation to the installation to the follow-up with paint and drywall they were on time and explained everything clearly and effectively. Best of all, they did a really meticulous job. It also involved some drywall repair and paint in a very sunny north-facing Arizona room. Even small blemishes in this room are easily seen. There were none! And their painter - a shout out to Joe Lopez! - was so good that I hired him to do two other rooms that really need new paint. He is very, very good - a good communicator and extremely clean and courteous. In all, I am very, very pleased with my new skylights. We had them installed a year ago and there have been no problems of any kind. And it made such a difference in my AZ room that I decided it was time to remodel the kitchen. Excellent company. read more

Where to begin. We ordered an above average priced interior door that included glass panels on both sides and top on February 3, 2014. One half payment was made on February 15 with an order time of 4 to 6 weeks. When the installers arrived during the first week of April, the door was hinged on the wrong side. Gee, it will be another 4 weeks. I then got an e-mail from Chip (I never received a telephone call from Chip during the entire process only cryptic e-mails). We were then e-mailed and told that the new parts were damaged and we would have to wait another 4 weeks. When I said 'Geeez, ok' in an e-mail back to Chip, I got a call from the door manufacture, not Chip saying that they were sorry about the problems. Finally, after waiting over 11 weeks, the door was finally installed. Still no call from Chip to see if the installers did a nice job or was the job satisfactory. Within one day, we received the bill for the second half... no note or call of thanks or apology for the delay and not even a gift certificate for a burger. I would not recommend this business to anyone. read more
