The initial door canvasser simply collected my information, and a sales representative came by afterward to deliver the presentation. Unfortunately, it turned into a classic high-pressure sales pitch instead of a standard retail quote. The salesperson used a "model/advertising home" pitch, claiming they could slash installation and labor costs plus knock 30% off the windows for a total 50% discount. However, this pricing required an immediate "hard yes" or "hard no" on the spot. When I stated I needed to do my own research before committing, the representative grew defensive, mentioning his cleared schedule and claiming they only accept the first two people who jump on the deal. While the salesperson remained superficially professional, the aggressive pressure to close the deal immediately was highly uncomfortable. When I flatly rejected the high-pressure tactic, he packed up and left. If you want a straightforward quote that you can actually think over, be prepared for a fight or look elsewhere. read more

I'm leaving this review as a warning to other customers. A representative from this company came to my home, and while at my front door, he attempted to open my screen door. I did not give him permission to enter my home or to open the door. All while ignoring the do not disturb and no solicitation signs. I found this behavior extremely concerning and inappropriate. Regardless of whether there was a legitimate reason for the visit, attempting to open a homeowner's door without permission is not acceptable. I strongly recommend that the company address this behavior and ensure that their employees understand appropriate boundaries when visiting customers' homes. I would not feel comfortable having this individual return to my property. read more

Had "Rocky" drop by this afternoon to discuss windows with me. I didn't request that "Rocky" drop by to check on my windows (they're less than 4 years old), but despite my "No Soliciting" signs all over my front yard, he took it upon himself to make an unexpected appointment with me on my day off. Then he insisted he wasn't selling illegally in Scottsdale, because he wasn't 'selling anything'. This of course was after him introducing himself as working with a marketing company representing Performance Windows. I'm not sure how you square "not soliciting" and "marketing" together, but Rocky somehow managed that in his mind. Anyway, someone who is willing to break both city codes and a homeowner's stated desire to not be so,I cited to is likely someone without a whole lot of ethics when it comes to doing business, so caveat emptor. read more

We recently had (14) windows and (2) sliding glass doors replaced by Performance Windows. Our home was built in 1972 and still has all the original windows. We chose to replace the majority of our living room windows as they are west facing and receive a lot of sun in the evening. Our living room was unbearable during the summer months even with multiple fans running. Since the replacement, we noticed a significant difference in that room. The temperature now stays relatively consistent to other parts of the house. The whole process from final measurements to install took roughly 7 weeks, which is great considering we had some custom items on our order. The installation took about 12 hours but the crew was courteous and professional. They cleaned all the windows and debris prior to departing. They also took all the old windows and doors with them. Our sales rep, Davis, was friendly and we didn't feel pressured to make a decision. He took the time to explain the quality of the product and the warranties included. Our house was built mid-90s and still had its original windows. We knew out windows were ready for replacement when we bought the house but had to put off replacing them due to the cost. Davis from the sales team stopped by one day and it just happened to be good timing. We appreciated his non-pushy sales approach and informational conversation. DO NOT BUY WINDOWS FROM THIS COMPANY. They offer a "true lifetime warranty" on their contract. COMPLETELY UNTRUE!! Over half our windows have warped (within 1.5 years) and they have used stall tactic after stall tactic to get out of replacing our windows. We ended up hiring a lawyer and they even have evaded THAT. They hide behind the window manufacturer because they are the only legitimate company with anything to loose. They are acting as a general contractor by selling, purchasing and installing the windows for the homeowner. They are NOT licensed contractors in the state of Arizona. Every company representative has been professional, courteous, and kind. The windows came in at the timeline we were quoted. The install went fast, one day for 42 windows! They are expensive, definitely an investment, but we value made in America, and lifetime warranty. We were disappointed that after the install we had to pick up a bunch of nails, glass, and debris. There were the glass cubes for a bathroom window, and when they removed them some must have shattered and there were many glass pieces outside on the rocks and patio. It didn't appear that there was an effort to clean them up. There was debris and nails scattered around outside most of the windows. Performance has replaced the screens both time, no charge! (Yes, I fired the window washing company). The windows have been installed for almost a year now and we love them! The new windows look awesome and the installers were awesome very friendly, and cleaned up and even took the old windows away. We had 10 windows installed and the Arcadia door and took about 6 1/2. The only concern is the patio door and in process of getting addressed. Definitely recommend as they offer competitive prices, and now with the economy and times are tough for everyone. We had 9 windows replaced in our home by Performance Windows and couldn't be happier! We had original single pane windows and every summer we complained about them but not this summer! Not only do the new windows look amazing but they are cool to the touch and keeping the house much cooler. For a 1960 sq foot home they quoted us $41,0000 and that was supposedly half-off their regular price since our house has high visibility and they wanted to use it for marketing purposes. My wife and I received a quote from another big named window install company and after we caught our breath after seeing the quote we both realized there is no way we could afford to install windows unless we won the lottery. We knew we needed to replace our windows , as ours were cracked, aged, and inefficient but we decided to permanently put the subject to bed. Shortly thereafter I had a conversation with Davis, their sales rep, and explained to him, "You're welcome to give a quote but after seeing what the other competitors showed I doubt we'll be able to move forward." After a quick consultation for 11 windows, we were presented a proposal that actually fit out budget and with acceptable payment options. On the day of installation, the crews arrived and they made such quick work on removal and install. I've installed windows before, and these guys were easily the most efficient and professional while taking care of our home while they were working. They put down pads on the carpet, cleaned where they went, and that included blowing off the driveway and picking up the stray pieces of trim in the yard. They left no trace after they completed the project. I can't stop staring at these windows. They made the house pop in a way I didn't think it could. We also live near a major highway and we would open and close the windows. There is a distinct difference in the sound that would permeate through our home. It's much more quite now.
