Sauce is heavy on tomato paste and no real depth of flavor. Ravioli noodles were too thick. Filling was bland. Maybe their strength is pizza? Wait staff was professional, friendly, and efficient. I was planning on having a mom/son date with my 9 year old (well behaved) who desperately wanted spaghetti and meatballs. For all of those of you who are thinking well... this place is too far. MAKE THE DRIVE & make a reservation. The reason why we went here is because we have the foodie app & we were on that side of town. After this meal we will be making the drive here! The Ravioli with Pesto was the star for me! The pesto sauce is creamy and goes well with the cheese filled ravioli. & they don't SKIMP on the ravioli. Omg it was delicious . It has a base layer of tasty hummus, with fresh veggies and top with crumbed falafel and feta cheese. The cream dressing is light and taste house-made. So good and I'll definitely go back for it. Small restaurant so I'd recommend reservations. Food was terrific with a good selection of drinks, appetizers and main courses. I had the caprese salad and cheese ravioli. Salad was ok, but the ravioli were delicate and full of cheesy goodness. Walked in without a reservation (not a good idea) because we were just in the area and wanted to grab dinner, so I "Yelped" a place @ voila! this restaurant popped up! We were greeted in a friendly manner & even though we didn't have reservations & they were fully booked, they said they could accommodate us on in their patio area, but for not more than an hour. That suited us fine & we were very appreciative. We ordered an iced tea (Arbuckles!) and glass of vino. The iced tea is perfection! It was the apricot brew, unsweetened! We also shared their meatballs appetizer and the jalapeño cream sauce that's on that was delicious! It comes with focaccia and it's not too earthy tasting, but yummy! The butters that were served with the bread were frozen, which was too hard to spread on soft focaccia. I would have preferred room temperature butter. I ordered a red pasta dish and it was a bit too bland for my taste buds. I ended up not eating it, but getting it to go. My husband ordered their Alfredo and that, too, was lacking in salt. The ambiance of their outdoor patio is actually just the front entrance to their restaurant. The restaurant is located in a small shopping center next door to a haircut place & a place you sell gold. Nothing fancy about the patio. You can see Walmart across the street and see/hear all the traffic driving by. If they had a bit of soft acoustic music softly playing and/or a small water feature with some added plants, this patio experience would be much more enjoyable. The inside looked very nice! Overall, I would return to give it another try, but would definitely make reservations and request inside seating. Our waitress was very nice, attentive, & professional. We were so lucky to have found this little gem for lunch yesterday! I had the cheese ravioli (upgraded the marinara with spinach and garlic). The ravioli was perfectly cooked and sooooo yummy! The sauce was amazing - so fresh and full of flavor. My hubby enjoyed his vegan pesto pasta, as well. We were lucky to get a table as almost all of the remaining tables were reserved. It's not a huge restaurant so there is limited seating - basically av line of booths so dining feels very private. Now the restaurant is super small so they do recommend reservations and they have a small patio outside to eat at as well. We were greeted right away, and thankfully there was a table for us to sit out right away outside on the patio. we started with the garlic knots and the honey board and it was so delicious and for our plates we got meat, lasagna, pesto ravioli, cheese pizza and fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Everything was so delicious and you can truly taste the quality and homemade goodness and everything. Service was really good and my son's cheese pizza accidentally got overlooked so because it didn't come out with the rest of the food they went ahead and took that off our bill which I thought was very customer service friendly. Traditional style is wheat; however, there are gluten free options as well. We most recently had the Old Town which was a yummy balance between sauce, cheese, tomato, and herbs - enough to share between two people. Not in the mood for pizza? Renee's also has lighter appetizer options and sandwiches. Our favorites are 1) the black bean tostada which is topped with a lovely salsa fresca and avocado that keeps it light and bright in flavor, and 2) the grilled cheese with tomato soup which is a delicious take on the classic comfort food - mozzarella and parmesan in between parmesan-crusted focaccia slices (aka cheese on cheese on cheese goodness). For dessert, highly recommend the cheesecake - it's unique in that it's made from goat cheese and topped with either a seasonal compote or Luxardo cherries. What an adorable and quaint little restaurant! I guess it's been there a while, but it was my first discovery and I was extremely pleased. The wait staff and host esses were very friendly. They are so busy that you need a reservation so I sat at a tiny 2 top table in entryway as all the other tables were taken. I enjoyed the absolutely most delicious Greek salad. I think I have ever had. It was generous and absolutely delicious. I added Focaccia bread as a side and they serve it with a delicious I think, honey butter, which was also very good. For my drink, I chose the apricot tea which was extraordinary. I can't wait to go back and bring a friend because I'm so excited to find this wonderful little restaurant. I finally tried a couple of new things this visit, exceeding my expectations once again. The Oh Honey! Board was over-the-top delicious. Noel Patterson's Dos Manos Apiaries honey, goat cheese, pistachios, with freshly baked garlic focaccia. For such a simple array of ingredients, my dining partner and I were highly impressed with the wonderful flavors this combination delivered. I always order the Jamie's Salad. Black bean hummus under a layer of fresh spinach greens, topped with salsa and a half sliced avocado. No dressing needed. I also ordered Sonoran Meatballs in Jalapeño Cream for the first time. The white cream sauce is delicate, not spicy but rich, and the meatballs (6) were tender and perfect. My friend ordered the Chopped Chicken and Cashew Salad. The dressing was light, fragrant, and the fresh arugula was dressed to perfection. Renée even brought fresh pepper and salt mills to the table. I love freshly ground pepper on everything. Dessert was totally unexpected. An entire Chocolate cake enough for three people. Most would say enough for four, but I have an incredible appetite. One of the best chocolate cakes I've ever had. It's easy to see how this place has so many five star reviews. It's a quaint little establishment that serves need to order organic local sourced magic. Staff was absolutely wonderful. Each dish appears to be freshly made to order in the establishment strives to use organic and local ingredients when it all possible. The lasagna takes almost 30 minutes as it's individually prepared for each order. The Caesar salad had a bitter aftertaste; maybe lemon juice or something else acidic. Frankly, disappointing. The tomato soup was actually pretty good. The chicken with sun-dried tomato cream sauce was a hit with one of the diners, The pizza was just a c+ or a b-. Me and friends didn't appreciate the signage saying no children allowed inside, as well as, no high chairs. Overall expensive and no wow factor. However, it appeared busy with lots of adults.
