This was my first time visiting Renee's. My family and I came here on 10/18/2025, arriving around 5:30 p.m. for dinner. The restaurant is quite small inside. They have high chairs available for babies, which is nice. The staff were friendly for the most part and seated us quickly. My husband ordered the popular Mixed Grill, while my mom and I both ordered Goto. We also got Sizzling Sisig and Lumpiang Shanghai to share. Two generous portions of garlic rice came out first, but they were a bit stale and not as warm as I would've liked. The flavor was bland and could've used more seasoning. The Goto was hot and tasted good overall although a bit more yellow than I'm used to. My mom commented that they probably used too much saffron, which explains the very yellow color. The Mixed Grill looked mouthwatering when it arrived and it smelled great and looked even better. When my husband bit into the pork BBQ skewer, he said it was a bit tough and didn't touch it again for the rest of our visit. He finished the chicken and pork belly from the platter and decided to take the remaining pork BBQ stick and longanisa home. Fast forward to Sunday night: my husband wanted to have the leftover pork BBQ stick. As he sliced the meat off the skewer to reheat it in the oven, he suddenly called me over in shock. The inside of the pork BBQ was completely raw--not just under cooked, but raw throughout the entire skewer. My jaw dropped. I've never encountered anything like that before. I've posted pictures so everyone can see how obvious it is that it's raw inside. When grilling, it's important to watch the cooking temperature. If the heat is too high, the outside of the meat can cook too quickly, burning the sugars in the marinade and creating the illusion that the meat is fully cooked. That's what happened in this case, the person handling the grill, whether untrained or simply careless, assumed the meat was done when in reality only the exterior was cooked, while the inside remained completely raw. Naturally, we were quite upset and shocked. My husband hadn't been feeling well that Saturday night after we got home, and now we know why -- he had taken a bite of the poorly cooked pork BBQ stick. Thankfully, he didn't bite into a raw portion, but the contamination was clearly there, which explains why he felt unwell. We honestly got lucky that he didn't become more seriously ill. We decided to contact the restaurant because this is completely unacceptable. Serving raw pork is a serious food safety issue, and the staff needs to be made aware so they can address whoever is responsible for grilling. Someone could become severely ill if this happens again. When I called a few days later, I was told there was no manager available, apparently they're only in on Mondays. The staff I spoke with didn't seem to care or show any real concern. They offered to replace the food, but since we don't live locally, that wasn't a realistic solution. There was no apology, no offer to refund the platter, and no gesture of goodwill for new customers who had such a disappointing first experience. My husband's family owns a restaurant, and I've worked in the food industry myself. It's a normalized practice to comp or refund items when a mistake like this happens. While I understand it's ultimately up to management, in this case, even a partial refund would have been more than appropriate. We were served raw meat, the entire skewer was unsafe to eat. It's frightening to think what could have happened if we'd fed that to our baby instead of the pork belly. What bothers me most is the complete lack of concern. The fact that their kitchen served this, and they didn't even apologize or try to make it right, or even say they would address this with their team, says a lot about their priorities. If we wanted to spend over $100 for raw meat, we could have gone to the grocery store instead. It's hard to find Kapampangan cuisine, and I really wanted to like Renee's. But after this experience, I can't recommend it. If you do decide to go, avoid the grilled items or make sure to cut into your meat before eating. Don't take a blind bite because you will risk getting food poisoning. I've gone ahead and also reported this incident to 311. I take food safety seriously and just because we were lucky not to get severely ill, the next customer might not be so lucky. We won't be returning. I can't support or give money to establishments that don't care for the safety of their own customers. I'm not trying to intentionally hurt this business but they need to do better. We make mistakes, but it's how we fix them that matters.

very cozy family run restaurant with a large menu and affordable prices. sisig was great but pretty acidic probably to counter the greasiness of the pork. its a busy spot but service was still fast!

Renee has really nice Filipino food and feels like a mom and pop shop type of restaurant! I had their pork sisig, fried sampler, and halo halo. I liked the portions it came with, and really loved all of the food well as enjoyed the friendly service here. The fried sampler had a good variety of different kinds of food so that was something I really liked as well!

Quick fix for Filipino cravings. Small place, no reservations but staff are friendly. We ordered chicken, torta talong, avocado shake, sinigang with chicken. Highly recommend and got empanadas Togo!

Yes, give me all the -logs!! My Filipino friends always say that I'm considered Filipino, not by blood nor by marriage but by food. I honestly kind of agree because if you know me IRL, you'd know I am well-versed in the Filipino culture, food, and even some of the language (I also got the accent down a long time ago). Plus, my name can sometimes throw people off because the general mindset is: Asian face + Spanish name = Filipino, but in my case the math doesn't add up. Back to the food - I convinced my ate (work bestie) last weekend to ditch her go-to spot for brunch and come to Renee's with me instead. We woke up late and were on a tight schedule that day so we ended up having to order our food to-go instead. She got the tinapasilog and I got my favorite longsilog. I'm not one to eat fish for my first meal of the day but her food smelled really good. My longsilog as usual, was delectable - very juicy and the right balance of sweet and savory. The only thing I was displeased with that day was the garlic rice. It did not taste right. It tasted like they mixed a spoonful of minced garlic from the jar with old rice and that's not how it's normally supposed to taste. It's my favorite place to grab breakfast in Woodside so I'll be back.

The lechon was nice and crisp...just how it should be. The ox tail was great with the peanut sauce- huge fan of it. Ssig with a fried egg was a staple dish which I would come back for time and time again. I want to come back and try the grilled meats and desserts.

    Fresh Lumpia Lumpiang Sariwa

Fresh lumpia lumpiang sariwa is fantastic! Super fresh, with perfect textures and nice bite to the vegetables. Garlic rice and atchara also pretty good. Not many vegetarian options but typical of Filipino restaurants. Service was very clear and efficient.

I've had Filipino food before, but having Filipino food at Renee's has upped the bar. Renee's is a hidden gem in Woodside and you can tell the place is family owned and authentic. The restaurant is casual but homey and the restaurant wasn't crowded on an early evening on Friday. My friend and I didn't take into account that this place closes at 7pm and we got there at 6pm. If you want more time to dine, lunchtime is a better bet. Despite the confusion on why our bill was closed so early, we were provided with friendly service. Our food also came out relatively fast so we had time to eat. My friend and I shared an ube shake, a spicy sisig, and the oxtail kare kare. The ube shake was sweet and creamy and tasted pretty good. I really enjoyed the sizzling spicy sisig which was not super spicy but had a flavorful kick. The sisig was especially great with the garlic rice. The oxtail kare kare with the shrimp paste was also very good and they gave several pieces of tender oxtail. These entrees with the amount of rice given to us were more than enough to fill us up. While Filipino desserts have gotten special attention these past few years, I think Filipino food still hasn't gained enough traction to catch up to the Filipino dessert craze. Renee's is definitely a great introduction to good Filipino food for those who haven't tried.

Filipino Breakfast right off the airport!!! Places like this make me miss the philippines and my college life. Im so happy more filipino restaurants are using the "silog" dishes to attract customers. Ambiance feels like I'm literally back in college. Great food great atmosphere!!

Super cute brunch spot with a good number of options to choose from. Really enjoyed the food here!

Food is good. Staff is friendly. The restaurant is casual. The experience was not the greatest since during our visit there was a random guy that came in asking people for change, it was very awkward and I feel that something should've been done so customers have a better dining experience.

The chicken barbecue sticks were flavorful and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the lumpia Shanghai didn't quite hit the mark for me :( it tasted like it was fried in older oil, and the filling was very minimal, so it felt like mostly wrapper. I was most excited to try the pork sinigang. While the broth had good flavor, the pork didn't taste freshly cooked and came across as if it may have been made a day or two prior. Overall, I really liked the vibe of this place and the friendly service, which makes me hopeful that my next visit will be better. I'd definitely be open to giving it another try.

My Filipino friends recommended this place so we all came on a Friday night for dinner. The restaurant is located right on Roosevelt Ave under the 7th train so it is very hard to find parking. We saw double parkers everywhere. Our reservation was for 7 pm and when we got seated there were only 2 other small groups inside. The restaurant has a Kamayan special for $275 that comes with soda, unlimited rice, vermicelli noodles, vegetables, mussels, shrimp, giant fried Calamari, pork fist, bbq pork, chicken, fried fish. They prep the whole course on banana leaves on a wooden board near the kitchen before carrying it out and placing it onto our tables. The special is meant for 6-8 people which I think it's more for 5-7 depending on the group - if they're light or heavy eaters. The Kamayan spread was not just pleasant to the eyes, but delicious! Everything was so good and flavorful and perfectly crispy. My favorites are the crispy calamari, bbq pork, and mussels. My friends and I also ordered drinks that are not included in the special: the Weng Weng, the Red Horse, Avocado Smoothie, Mango Smoothie, and Ube Smoothie. The Weng Weng is their signature cocktail which reminds me of a better Malibu Bay Breeze. The Red Horse is the main beer in the Philippines which is pretty light and I don't really taste the after beer taste. The smoothies are all so creamy and good. My favorite would have to be the mango which reminds me of a mango lasi. I liked the ube better than I expected, but the avocado had a weird taste to it. We were so full from the spread and smoothies that we had no room for dessert. By the time we finished, the place was packed because at 9 pm there's open karaoke as well as live performances. I also caught a whif of the sisig on my way out and it smelled sooooo good. Would definitely be back for the mango smoothie, giant calamari, to try the sisig and halo halo. Service was great too! They always came to check on us from time to time and gloves were provided for the Kamayan spread if you didn't want to use your bare hands.
