Salmon (lox) on French bread with onions, capers and cream cheese was on point! Side of cucumber salad was fresh, flavorful, and refreshing on this hot day. The BLT was a reminder of simpler times. Its usually hit or miss with small coffee shops, but the caramel macchiato and cortado I ordered was perfect and the baristas were very friendly! This is a new coffee spot for me. They have a wide variety of coffee drinks. Their baked goods are fresh and delicious. The reason I am giving this restaurant three stars instead of five is because of their policy concerning iced drinks. In ordering a medium iced coffee, I noticed they put nearly half a cup of ice. On my next visit, I asked for light ice. The barista asked me if I would like the extra space created from this light ice to be filled with coffee. I responded yes. I was then charged 15% extra because of this. I have frequented many coffee shops over the years. This is the first time I ever experienced an additional charge because of light ice. I'm frustrated and a bit disappointed. read more

I'm not sure where the place gets their coffee beans from but I'm used to high quality, which I seek out in whatever area I am in. Went in earlier this week in the afternoon only to find one of the baristas with a very visible cough taking her mask on and off constantly. I usually don't have a big problem with this but she had a very nasty cough and I rather not catch or spread anything to my family, especially my young grandkids. Not sure if there's more than one but I just remember it being the barista with brown hair. The drinks were alright but I can't help but wonder if she was making my drink while she didn't have her mask on. The thought of spreading anything to my family or to catch something myself is not something I'm willing to risk. Been eyeballing this place for a while since it's in the same shopping center as LA fitness and what can I say; I like coffee and I'm down to try any coffee/tea shop ESP if it's local. Finally managed to try this place early Saturday morning. It's just what I excepted, a cute-sy, cozy, coffee shop. I got a cappuccino and a smoked salmon breakfast Panini. You can opt to add spinach and tomatoes for $1 extra, which I did. Tasted fresh and my cappuccino wasn't half bad. The baristas were very sweet and helpful with any questions I had. This is a small coffeehouse/lunch spot next to the LA Fitness off GA 400, exit 14, in Cumming. I was a little confused by reading the reviews as to whether this is a coffeehouse with snacks or an actual lunch spot. After going 3 times, the verdict is this: this coffee shop does fantastic, high-quality drinks with coffeehouse sides, and they also have a limited but solid menu of about 12-13 sandwiches, soups, salads, and breakfast sandwiches. They serve breakfast sandwiches from opening until the kitchen closes at 3pm, and lunch sandwiches, salads, and soups are served beginning at 11:15am. I've been three times now, twice for coffee drinks and once for lunch (with coffee, of course). The lattes are great, with perfect milk foam. The various added flavors are good, although I wish they were more prominently displayed on a larger sign. I liked that they have a couple sugar-free options, but the gingerbread and lavender flavors are great. My boyfriend enjoyed the hot chocolate and Americano drinks, too. The prices are cheaper than Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks, and the coffee drinks are much higher quality. I'll definitely be stopping by when I can wait a few minutes for the drink (no drive thru, but the wait is worth it if you can). For lunch, we tried two sandwiches -- the Turkey with gouda and the Cuban panini -- each of which comes with a side. My side, the clam chowder, was tasty and not too thick -- and had bacon, which was a first for me for clam chowder! The boyfriend selected a bag of sunchips, wanting a more typical side. Both sandwiches were very decent and made with fresh ingredients. They weren't "delicious" -- it's hard for sandwiches to be delicious, after all -- but they were good sandwiches and I'd get one again (although I wouldn't toast the wheat bread again, as it scraped my mouth a bit too much). It's an intimate place with 9 two-person tables (close to each other, too, so be warned if you need lots of personal space) and a seating area with some armchairs and a few side tables. Everyone there seems ok with this, though, so it's not too awkward. A few tables exist outside, too, for nicer weather. I'll definitely be back often for coffee (with a side scone or muffin), and occasionally for lunch -- it's a good place for lunch with a friend, or maybe a meeting with a colleague or collaborator. read more

My husband and I decided to stop here for a latte and were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the food and drinks were. We both got flavored lattes - PB and Nutella. We also tried a variety of their baked items- macaroons, oatmeal cookie, and lavender white chocolate scone. All very delicious! Located in a larger strip center and sharing the lot with LA fitness off GA400 exit 14, this independent cafe does a good job of providing a fine coffee experience. While there is plenty of seating, the size of the restaurant makes it tight and seem a bit limited. There is no background music, so it may make that Tinder date a bit awkward if your conversation includes your animal cosplay fetish (don't judge) and there happens to be a bible study group seated at the next table. I'm a pretty simple coffee drinker. I usually order just a plain cup of joe, and drink it black. With that said, I am a fan of the coffee here, it is very well balanced, flavorful with low acidity. Definitely worth driving past the Starbucks to get here. Having had a few rendezvous (yes, that's the plural form. I checked) here myself, I can say the service is a bit slow, so although it may not be busy, it will take a couple of minutes to get your coffee. I stumbled onto this Cafe while shopping. The coffee is top notch. This area has needed a great coffee shop since Cupbearer moved to Vickery. I had a Latte and the Chicken Provençal salad. It was delicious. The salad had the freshest greens and was amazingly dressed. Most places drown the greens with dressing and the dressing is all you can taste. Rendezvous does it the right way with just enough to accent the greens and let all of the flavor shine through. The menu is somewhat limited at the time that I write this, but they have not been open long. I think that they will probably expand their offerings as they gain customers. Give it a try. I've been coming here for a while now and I'm always satisfied with their food and service. What I really like about Rendezvous is the simplicity of everything from their food to the ambience. It's a nice place to just get a coffee or sandwich and go about your day. No frills. Their sandwiches use super fresh ingredients and I love getting their side dishes or soups that come with it. My favorite soup is their creamy carrot and ginger soup. They usually have it on Wednesdays when I go. Their selection of coffees and combination of flavors is great.
