I rate their manager a NEGATIVE 10 and I rate the facility and everything else 3.5 stars. So combined it gets just 2 stars. I had a unit here for about 4 years. I used to pay each year in full to lock in my rate. After year two, I didn't receive the renew notice in the mail and I didn't remember that my year was coming to an end. I received a phone call from the manager telling me I had late fees and my lock would be cut if I didn't pay. I tried to log into my account but it wouldn't let me. When I tried to retrieve password, it said email not found. I called because the phone call was the first notice I received about my unit and the manager was very aggressive and angry. I went into their office to speak to the manager and he said they've been emailing me with no response and it's my fault so I have to pay. After lots of back and forth with him, we discovered they somehow changed my email address to an entirely different one so that's why I never received any notice. It wasn't just a letter or two off - it was literally someone else's email. Funny how his attitude changed after he realized it was their error. Makes sense why I couldn't log into my account or reset my password! I continued to rent for 2 more years. And EVERY year my rate continued to increase. It was getting ridiculous. I shopped around and found places with same size units for half the price. I decided to cancel and spoke with a woman in the office who helped with cancelling and I told her i already took all of my items out and vacated the unit and that I would stop in that Saturday (4 days later) to return my access card. Two days later, that mean manager (same one from 2 yrs prior) called and left me a nasty voicemail about returning my key card. I called back to speak to him and he said I needed return the access card right away for them to complete the cancellation. He also said that if I didn't, I would be charged a month rental fee. I explained I spoke to the woman in the office and I told her I would return it Saturday and she said it wasn't an issue. I just do not appreciate being a loyal paying customer for 4 years to have the rude manager threatened to charge me when I had a pre-arranged drop off date. The manager also went on the point out the fact that I was cancelling with 6 days notice and that you are supposed to give 7 days notice. What a joke! This manager was just nit-picking like he was on a power trip. There was never any reason for him to be so disrespectful. I'm so happy I cancelled and I always tell people to never use this place if they need a storage unit. STAY AWAY! read more

I've used this storage facility for about a year now. I didn't plan on using it this long but my house remodeling has taken longer than usual. Thanks covid! When I was looking at units the staff were definitely the friendliest. They took their time showing me the units because I was undecided between two. I've never had a problem and they have always been super helpful. I love that I can park my car in a covered area. It's a must in Florida!! The only downfall is trying to find a spot if it's super busy but luckily I haven't really had to deal with that too much! read more

Had a good experience with Gary at first even tho he kept hassling me about a review now the downside to my experience and why I rated it so low was that they do not prorate left two weeks before my next payment and they would not help with prorating my monthly charge also they make a courtesy call prior to your move in date and I was not told of the monthly insurance charge when they made that call so I was charge more than what I was originally quoted or that they needed 2 weeks to vacate and got a rude attitude from Gary even tho I spoke to someone in customer service weeks before about my move out date so no communication between customer service and the manager. The area is clean, cool with a/c in the units but the experience I had wasn't a great one. I would take my money elsewhere. read more

I've had a unit with at this facility for 5 years and I've never been completely satisfied with the customer service or the inconsistency of information I've received from various employees of this company. Between being double charged, constant fee increases and generally customer service I was already not happy with renting from this facility however for convenience reasons I've continued to keep my unit here. I recently went to grab a few belongings and discovered he outside of my unit was pissed on! Literal urine was dripping from the seal on my door and there was a puddle inside of the unit from where either someone or their animal URINATED within the facility hall and the urine spread into my unit. My childs crib was covered in pee as was his brand new bike, damage was done to quite a bit of my property. The manager of this location assured me that the insurance I have would cover any damages that occur which doesn't reduce the feeling of nausea and disgust you have when cleaning pee off of your belongings. I submitted a claim and an adjuster called the next day to let me know they don't cover "Vermin" damage. If it had been water they would but pee is not included in their overpriced coverage. This was property damage and someone was responsible for this making it a crime, I don't see why that wouldn't be covered or why they would not even attempt to find out who the pissing bandit is but I do know that I will never rent another unit from cube smart again. read more

I have rented a space here at Renaissance / CubeSmart for several years now, and it's just as good as when I first came. The staff is friendly, and it's clean and cool. My favorite part of this location is the covered entrance inside the loading dock! I wish there were dumpsters we could use when cleaning out our spaces, but overall I think it's way better than other places I have tried. read more

My Boyfriend and I were faced with a difficult transition from PA to FL and Gary took care of us, walked us through the process of accessing the units we rented and really just went out of his way for us. I booked my unit with Jennifer and everything went smoothly. On move-in day, we decided we needed a bigger unit. Gary stayed after hours and hooked us up. Positive: Great staff, especially the manager Gary - personable, outgoing, and very helpful. Climate control is excellent. Facility is spotless, and the staff takes care of any mess immediately. Loading area is sheltered from the rain, and the shade helps bigtime in Florida. Carts are in working order and plentiful. For climate controlled space the price was right. Negative: Bathroom is only available during the limited office hours. No dumpsters - the dumpsters in the loading area are not for Renaissance Self Storage customers. Although their facilities were clean and temperature controlled, their customer service is lacking and I would not use them ever again. Number one, you have to buy THEIR lock, they will not let you use other locks. So, right away you know they are money grabbers. Number two, I was not happy with their service and lack of communication. After I put all my stuff in storage, I gave them all my contact info in case they needed to reach me. When I came back 3 months later, I was told I had forgotten to lock my unit. I remember locking it, so I have no clue what truly happened. I asked them why they didn't lock it themselves, and they said they are legally unable to touch any unit lock without an order. So, then I asked why I had not been contacted to come back and lock it, and they said they tried contacting me but one of my numbers was disconnected and the other they left a message. First of all, all of my numbers worked and I never received any message. I asked to see the numbers they called and both cell and home were put in wrong. I called both numbers they claim to have called and both numbers just rang and rang so there was no way they could have ever left a message, like they said and lied about. Then I asked why I had not been sent a letter in the mail, and their response was, "we don't do that". Of course not, because I had prepaid for 4 months, so why would they care about my belongings? I tried calling the owner but he never called me back. I would never use them again. I don't care if their facilities are clean, I care about my belongings and they did not. I am really upset with their service. read more
