Beware of continuous price increases over the months. We started out $120/mo and it would increase every few months over the course of 2 years to $168. Then the day before auto draft we received a letter stating it had gone up $80. When we called they said call the corporte office. The man i spoke with said they needed our size unit and could charge $255 so pay it or move out, it was the new going rate. It was a very clean facility and the managers were very nice but talk about gauging their customers, this corporation does that......We found a new unit bigger for only $109./mo........I feel that this is very unfair business practice. We own 2 businesses and would never do this to ur customers......... read more

Let me start off by saying I was a delighted mini-u customer in westminster, California. I was informed of the many mini-u locations in florida, Boynton beach being the closest, and I signed a contract and stored my belongings here while i look for a house in the miami area, The owners are wonderful friendly and hospitable folks, who make you feel welcome and like you are at home, while you store your belongings in their clean spacious and updated facility which is conveniently located close to the 95 freeway. I am not a client of this "business" (thank goodness) but helped my friend move out of her unit over the course of 2 weeks. Until seeing the inside of this place I thought the term "SLUM LORD" only applied to apartments. No so - this place is a rodent farm with rat crap everywhere. We walked in one day and the hallway lights don't work so it was dark. The daylight startled a few of the rats and one attacked my friend. No kidding. The management was nasty as can be. Would not recommend!!!! Called and yelled at me for not returning the cart to the "common area"! I was shocked at the call and had no idea there was such an area to put the cart after use. She continued to badger me and say yes I did know this. Also they have a camper parked there they plug in and you cannot get the cart over top of the large cord that's plugged in right next to the door. When I asked about this they told me to go around to another door even though my storage unit is right next to the door. I have paid my rent on time automatically for 3 years there. My family and I, having recently relocated to Delray Beach, went in search of a local storage facility. After visiting six local facilities belonging to different companies, we were quite disheartened with what we found. All of these facilities were either staffed with personnel displaying various degrees of incompetence and/or the facilities themselves were incredibly filthy and uncared for. My wife and I quickly became dicouraged realizing we could not rely on any of these facilities to keep our personal items safe, clean, and secure. Then, we stumbled upon Mini U-Storage. From the moment we viewed the impeccably cared for and well maintained facility, we were hopeful we finally found a place. And once we were warmly greeted by Carrie and Charles, the general managers, we knew we needed to look no further. Their collective warmth, professionalism, and in-depth knowledge of the industry convinced us immediately that this was the place for us. This wonderful couple made us feel right at home and answered all our questions displaying an intimate knowledge of the industry in general and their facility in particular. They take great pride in their work! In a matter of a few minutes, we had secured a large storage room that was spotlessly clean, very secure, climate controlled, and with easy access. All this and the best price as well! And, even though the sign-up procedure was quick and easy, we enjoyed their company so much that we hung around for an hour or more speaking with them. All in all, it was a very enjoyable experience. If you're looking for storage in the Delray, Boca, or Boynton Beach area, look no further. Great customer service, super friendly and helpful. The units looked really clean. The one time use of the truck for free is really useful when trying to get everything into storage. They have a dolly/hand truck by the doors so you can easily move things into your unit. read more
