My husband and I ordered the penne ala vodka with chicken and chicken Remo. Incredible food! The cannoli and lemon cream cake also fantastic! Topped our meal off with delicious cappuccinos and then rolled home! Great service too! I don't love their pizzas mainly because there are better options nearby. Needed a quick rest stop before an evening event. Now that I live on the west coast, when I go back east I take every excuse to have Italian. It's just so much better and in abundance on this side. Ordered a bowl of split pea soup (du jour) and a glass of malbec. There was a basket of fresh baked bread in front, they pulled a roll from it and sliced some off for me (still warm!). Soup needed a little pepper, but was clearly fresh and thankfully NOT oversalted. All were yummy. Next to said basket of bread was a tray of cannoli shells. I HAD to get one to go for my Lola. They fill it fresh in house. At the bar, food network on the TV gets points from me. Service was impeccable, too. Hope I have time to return for actual dinner. read more

Recently I went to Remo's and had the salad pizza and was blown away. I like how there's always a table available and it's a pizza place but with an urban vibe. Last Friday I went for the salad pizza that I'd been dreaming about, but it was lighter on cheese considerably and not nearly as good as the first time. I'll be sure to give them a third chance in hopes that they're a little more generous with the dressing and particularly cheese for the price. read more

Holy Cannoli- their cannolis are phenomenal! Both the regular and chocolate covered. Very impressed. Calamari and Chicken Remo were delicious. My husband loves their Margherita pizza. This is by far the best that's what I've tried there and their pizza the pizzas OK I expected a little better the customer service another story a little pushy short not that when you need them. Brick oven pizza and a glass of wine?! Count me in!!!! So my roommate and I were looking for a spot to check out for dinner and found this place! It was a little crowded on a saturday night But there was both indoor and outdoor seating available. We sat inside towards the back and our waiter promptly greeted us. There have a wine list and they also have a few bottled beers available. I got the Zinfadel for $7 / glass and It was great! As for dinner, we ordered a large Margherita pizza to share and meatballs with ricotta as the appetizer. The meatballs came out so quickly. I was still eating from the Bread basket! They also have olive oil, parmesan cheese and crushed red peppers on the table so all your bases are covered. The meatballs were juicy, the marinara sauce was good and the ricotta was plentiful! The pizza was crisp to perfection and we had Lore than half leftover. The ambiance was cool and my Italian roommate was surprised they had Italian pop music playing in the background. The dinner was about $40 between the two of us and It was delicious! I wish I had saved roomed for a cannoli But It's ok.... I'll be back!!!! read more

First time in Stamford and decided to try out this pizza/Italian place near my hotel. I ordered New England pizza with shrimp and clams. Maybe because I was famished, I believe this is one of the best New York Style pizza I had in a long time. For desert I order freshly filled cannoli, it was also amazing. Not the mention that that their coffee was freshly brewed and quite good as well. Overall, it was the best choice for for a lonely guy in a new city. PS: the owner is amazing as well, while I was waiting he gave out food to a homeless guy and quietly paid one lady's who you can tell was struggling with money. read more

Was told "he is right around the corner." 20 more minutes went by. Called again and same answer. Must be a big corner. Finally an 1 hour and 45 minutes passed an nothing. Remo's is a pretty good spot for pizza. Personally, I think it's a great spot to pregame before hitting the bars next door with friends. Remo's was great! The music choice when we went was solid too, no complaints there! My friends and I sat outdoors and didn't go indoors at all, but the outdoor seating was comfortable and clean. We ordered Gorgonzola bread and a custom cheese pie. The Gorgonzola bread was F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C and made for a great starter! The flavor wasn't super overpowering and was a nice balance of the Gorgonzola. Our custom pie was delicious as well and came out quickly. The service was polite and we had no issue with our servers. I went to Remo's in March when my college roommate came to visit me. It was the same night as the Saint Patrick's Day celebration so the place was filled with drunk people. The owner and staff handled it all very well. We sat at the bar and as we were eating our food a man in his 30s came over, extremely intoxicated, and took food from our plate. The owner was quick to jump on this guy and kick him out of the restaurant as well as fix our order and give us a free dessert. The food itself is so worth it. The food and service was great, but every time I go to remos and try to sit outside, there is a trumpet player across the street that ruins my experience. He played the star wars cantina song on repeat the entire time I was out there, ruining the experience of going out to eat. This has happened multiple times I have gone. I realize this is not the fault of remos, but it is a part of the experience when you go there. The trumpet guy is just simply bad, and you have to sit through a dinner of trumpet screeches and random notes being played loudly. I cannot be the only customer that feels this way and it really is a shame that this takes away from Remo's, which otherwise is a great restaurant to go to. read more

Had lots of food and wine on a busy weekend night and the service was surprisingly very good. Food was good and prices were affordable for a party of 4. I look forward to going back again. The only thing to know is that reservations are not taken after 6 pm on Friday's and Saturday's. read more

Really can't beat it. Was looking for a classic chicken parm and Remos hit the spot. The service and food are above satisfactory, along with the wine prices. The penne vodka with the chicken parm is the way to go. Will defiantly be back. The warm bread is also a great touch. read more

I go to Remo's regularly now. I can't get enough. Especially so for their pastas, desserts and appetizers. They prepare a great (REAL) Bolognese sauce that I love to get on ravioli and then pair with another order of their chicken Alfredo on Linguini. Both really great, flavorful sauces that balance each other out when you can mix bites!! I'd highly recommend going with a friend and mixing/trying each other's plates, since the portions are big and you can balance out creamy dishes with acidic sauces. Their desserts are also perfect. Their tiramisu and cannolis are creamy, light and reasonably sweet. The Buffalo wings and house wines are also great. This popular restaurant serves seriously mediocre pizzas. I cannot understand its popularity. People come to pick up take out orders and park in the street outside. The location is near the very busy intersection of Bedford and Broad streets, so there is a lot of traffic which frequently gets jammed up due to thoughtless customers parking illegally to pick up take out food. This restaurant and its customers are a blight on downtown Stamford. The police do nothing. read more

Asked for extra sauce on the pasta because in the past it's been too dry. This time, it's bland and the sauce is practically pasta water. So I never would have thought of going to Remo's, but my wife convinced me. One day we were in the mood for pizza and figured we would go here. I must say, we tried a few things since, and they never seem to fail us. Their pizza is good. The bruschetta was great. The grilled calamari was awesome. We have had their chicken marsala, chicken piccata, linguine pescatore, shrimp.scampi, and their various pizzas. All were good. They definitely know how to cook seafood though. Their calamari is always perfect. Also, try the cannoli and sfogliatelle. Those are always good. And the service has always been good too. Definitely check 'em out. Few things though, sometimes the bread is cold and butter is cold as a rock when we ask for the bread. I would only suggest warming the bread up and keeping the butter out. The cheesecake that I got on May 5th, 2022 cost me $6.25. For that price, I was awarded a cheesecake the size of half a playing card. I wish that was hyperbole but I have attached photos so you can see and not make the same mistake. Any store willing to sell cheesecake slices that tiny for $6.25 is a scam artist.
