    Beef rib

Send a lovely Saturday evening outside.Enjoying a spectacular performance. I Had the beef short rib that was set alarm to reminded me of the Fred flintstone dino rib. Be on the size.It was a delicious meal. The slow cook short rib.\nWas very tender , had a lovely reduction sauce and was accompanied by sweetpotato mash and krispy broccoli. My server, Jake was very friendly and welcoming.

My sister wanted to go to brunch today in my area. I suggested Rembrandts. I had such a great experience there last time so I thought it would be a good spot to eat at this morning. I headed over and got there before my sister did. I wanted to eat outside today but it was so busy on the patio. I opted to sit inside instead. The sweet hostess got a table for us and I chilled till my sister for there. Kylie took care of us today. She was serving a few tables so it took her a couple minutes to get to me. I got an iced americano started while I was waiting. I asked for sugar free hazelnut and room for cream. Coffee came out shortly. It looked nice and rich in color from the espresso. There wasn't a lot of room for cream so I did drink it black to create some room. The room would have been nice. I added the cream and took another swig of my drink. I noticed that the sugar free hazelnut wasn't present. I flagged Kylie down and asked for a side of the syrup. The side of syrup was dropped off. I added it to my drink and hung out till my other half popped up. To be honest, adding the syrup was a big mistake. I don't know what kind of sugar free syrup they use but it was awful. I have had sugar free hazelnut syrup before but this was bad. I told Kylie about the drink. We swapped it out for hot coffee. It's not what I really wanted but it was a lot better than my original drink. My sister finally showed up and we got our orders taken. For brunch I ordered the sausage lovers scramble. I requested less sausage and more spinach. I also ordered a breakfast sandwich to go for my husband. I couldn't leave him out. Food was finally dropped off and by the looks of our plates, you can tell they have been sitting for a while. When gravy has been sitting for a while, it creates a dull film over it. This dullness was over my sister's gravy. My scramble was not hot but slightly warm. The parmesan cheese was hard from cooling. And the scramble tasted mehhh. It wasn't good but it wasn't awful. I ate about a fourth of it and was over it. My husband really enjoyed his breakfast sammy. The croissant looked fluffy and golden. The cheese was perfectly melted on the egg. It also came with a nice piece of ham. I'm happy my husband enjoyed his breakfast. I had such high hopes for today's experience to be as amazing as my first visit. Kylie did a great job dealing with my coffee, checking up on us and getting my husband's to go taken care of. Unfortunately my food was a fail today. Disappointing to be in such a beautiful venue and not have the food match it's beauty. I do hope my next visit won't be anything like today's.

The brunch was delicious! Great atmosphere & a brunch menu filled with so many choices for everyone!! While the food took some time to come out, it was well worth the wait.. we had the meat lovers scramble, corned beef hash, kids French toast, kids sliders & one thing that was so delicious, it was gone before I could even get the camera out.. the STICKY BUN!! If you get nothing else, the sticky bun is a must! Happy eating!!

Attention VISITORS!!!! Tourists.....THIS is THE best restaurant in the area. Sit at the counter, or large area of restaurant....or in summer, spring and fall on the patio. We began eating here as our regular spot, two years before moving from North Idaho to this area. We have had almost 80% of the menu. Great breakfasts, sandwiches, burgers, dinners. Meat from a local ranch. Five PLUS stars to the staff!! So nice, not pushy, always looking out for the customers. You can see they get along and enjoy working here. So we've been chowing down (I'm a veteran) here for three years. We don't live in Eagle but just drive down the road here. So very comfortable here.

Great atmosphere in an old church. Sat at the bar for breakfast so I didn't get the full sense of it--but a fun place to be in. Great friendly service. Excellent latte and a good basic breakfast (Larry's breakfast). Tasty food. Probably would have done a 5th star if there's been a little more of the scrambled eggs. Technically might have been 2--but when I make 2 scrambled eggs at home there's definitely more than this. All said, I'd go back and enjoy working around the menu a bit. Strong recommend if you're in Eagle.

A wonderful find! Unique church conversion to full kitchen, and full bar. But dinner oriented. The live music is perfect, light bluesy-jazz old school quality music. Katiegaronzikmusic.com and 'Katie G & The Half Maccs' the martini was very professionally prepared, the staff well organized and attentive, (like they were here to serve and make folks have a wonderful evening). Prices fair and not opulent. I had Shrimp Pasta, done perfectly. Will be back to try more on the menu.

    Beautiful morning on the patio!

Great morning at Rembrandts. Hadn't tried the breakfast bowls before. I had the Brussels and Sweet Potato Hash. It was delicious. Loved all the roasted vegetables. Everything was very fresh. Loved the poached apples. The over easy yolks were nice to give everything a bit of sauce to bring it all together. My friends had the Harvest Bowl and they enjoyed those as well with the smashed sweet potato, bacon and avocados. Definitely coming back to try the Breakfast Tacos or one of the Benedict options. Prices are reasonable and actually less expensive than some of the other places we have tried recently. Hard to find a meal for under $20 now a days sadly.

Love this charming place! I have thought about it over the years since my parents passed because they loved it, but I had forgotten where it was or even if it was still around and I found it and went there today. Great avocado Benedict on a croissant with crispy breakfast potatoes. I brought home a salad that sounds amazing with a maple balsamic dressing. The place can get busy especially on the weekend, but I went there around 1:30 and it was easy to get a seat. they are now open for dinner so I'm curious about their menu and will definitely stop by.

The ambiance with ok food worth the trip. The service great until I was seated. Waiter came to the table 15 minutes after the breakfast was served. Had to ask for water and had to ask for the check. If you're looking for service, this is the wrong spot! After I paid my bill while waiting for change, the server got on his cell phone and vanished. (I could expect this on a weekend, not Tuesday morning)

Cool vibe- bones and throw back decor w/a nod to the religious roots of the building but trendy menu- lots of great, fresh options. Great meeting spot. Nice cocktail hour but watch out for the BOGO cocktails. They are per person, not per couple. Service was lackluster w/servers lacking warmth and welcoming attitude while grouped behind bar chatting - we waited for over 20 min for an update on our cocktails and single order of dessert. Again, cocktails and food were fantastic. We'll try again.

I visited here for the second time tonight... had such a delightful experience (on Ladies Night,…read morewhich happens to be every Wednesday...) I don't smoke, & sensitive to all types of smoke...so I'd thought I'd have issues here... but their state of the art air purification system really works! I came as I appreciate quality & creativity when a full bar is present, being the Foodie that I am! Every staff member (as well as patrons) I met were all genuinely friendly, & full of ideas of drinks to try. (& fun info on cigars avail too of course... sounds like they have a great selection on that front too of course!)... As I'm a very light drinker, I qonly got to enjoy one delish drink this time , but I got to try another drink the 1st time I came, & I had a sip of my friend's drink ... all 3 drinks were fantastic... in quality spirits, in presentation, in atmosphere the drinks were enjoyed in... I highly recommend this as another downtown Eagle destination, even if u don't smoke, or u smoke but don't want to drink...as the cozy yet ample enviro lends itself to both intimate as well as group gatherings. I appreciate that I can bring my own food in, & that there is both indoor as well as outdoor seating. I rate it as very accessible, as multi seat types, multi entrances, spacious interior & exterior. Honestly it was nice to not feel rushed... & it was fairly quiet yet lively while I was there both times... so u can actually hear who u are talking to, unlike many restaurants (& coffee shops). Shout out to the great new GM & both bartenders who were very patient with this self proclaimed high interest low liquor knowledge gal

Ambiance is kind of like a dive bar. Food was not the best and a bit overpriced. I tried the beef barbacoa tacos and pulled pork sandwich. The taco was okay, but the pulled pork was pretty dry even with the bbq sauce. Ordered an Old Fashioned drink with my meal. I always judge a bar by how they make the traditional drinks like Old Fashioned, mojitos, and Long Island ice tea to name a few. It was bad. Not sure how they got it bad. Too much bitters? Cheap alcohol? I don't know. The "highlight" of my night was an interaction with the bartender lady. After all the eating, my friends and I stuck around outside to chat. I decided to go back in to grab a beer. The Yakima Blend IPA caught my attention so I asked for that. I pay $13 for it. Bartender gives me my cash change. I leave a $5 bill as tip (on a $13 beer!). She takes it and asks, "That's it?" Too good for a 40% tip? My company keeps an unofficial list of must-try and stay-away-from hotels and restaurants near our offices in various states. Old State Saloon has been added to the stay-away-from list as of a week ago.

I had never been to this bar but my friend had done some work events here. She got a glass of her usual Pinot Grigio as wine is all she drinks. We had a nice time chatting and she then wanted a second glass of wine. I too, had a second cocktail. The bartender brought Chardonnay to her and then realized it was not the wine she originally had. She asked my friend if she wanted to drink it or if she would like the Pinot Grigio. My friend kindly said, "I prefer the Pinot". Although the bartender didn't appear upset, she abruptly threw the wine into the sink, possibly irritated. She then went out of sight to the kitchen where she was pouring Costco boxed wine. I thought this was odd that they would have Costco boxed wine and that it was stored and poured in the kitchen, being that this was a bar. I have lived in many states and this is something that I have never seen done, but all states have different rules about liquor and wine. Shortly into the second glass of wine, my friend's behavior began changing. She was about 1/3 into the glass, and she suddenly seemed to become heavily sedated, as if she had been drugged. Her speech was very slurred and it seemed her motor skills were very impaired. I had never seen her like this. She can easily handle a bottle of wine, as can I, without incident. We didn't engage much with anyone except a man who came in to get his missing phone. He was mostly talking to the bartender but we briefly chatted with him. People came in and out of the bar with costumes and spoke to the bartender and ordered drinks, to the left of my friend's seat. Nothing appeared to be out of order except my friend appeared very impaired. She went downhill quickly only partially through that second glass of wine. My friend was very incoherent at this point and she became paranoid which is totally out of character for her. She thought the bartender and man next to her were laughing at her. She actually started crying saying, "They're laughing at me. They're laughing at me". I assured her they were not. I then encouraged me friend to get up and we would go use the bathroom. She had apparently lost all control of her legs because when she got up from the seat she instantly collapsed to the floor like a rag doll. It was shocking. I had to help her up from the floor and into the restroom. To my utter shock she did not even recognize me saying, "Who are you? Where's bunny? You're not bunny!". It was bizarre. I was very concerned since I have never seen her like this and we are both seasoned and regular nightly wine drinkers for many years. Many concerned patrons came up to me to try to help. When we finally came out of the bathroom I said to the bartender, "I have never seen my friend like this. I think she may have been drugged. This doesn't make sense." The bartender seemed quite dismissive and replied, "Oh no, I just gave her a heavy pour." Yes, the wine glass did appear more full than a standard pour but my friend again is a veteran drinker and I have seen her drink two or even three glasses of wine and be completely fine. I thought it was interesting that the bartender would say such a thing and so quickly dismiss my suspicion. I also found it odd that she had thrown the wine abruptly into the sink. I also find it suspect that the wine is not being held behind the bar where customers can watch it being poured. Instead it is poured in another room out of sight. While I have no proof and did not witness any foul play I am sure that somebody slipped something into my friend's drink. She was not drunk. She appeared to be drugged. Was it a patron? The man who came back for his phone? Or another partygoer in a costume? That may be possible I suppose but her wine glass was within my view the entire time and I saw nothing suspect. Either way, I believe she was drugged. Again, I have NEVER seen my friend like this. She has NO memory of that night. All of that from a glass and a half of wine? I don't think so. Either way, I cannot recommend this establishment and I will never return based on this experience. It was a very dark experience and I regret ever going out that night. This situation has created huge tension between her husband and I since I am the one who returned her home in this condition. And this tension seems to have caused a rift in our relationship as well. I have reached out to her multiple times and no response. This event not only traumatized her but it traumatized her husband, myself, and my husband as well. It appears to have caused a rift in all of our relationships. It is hard to believe that someone would do such a horrible thing. Apparently I have run out of characters but I am not quite done. I have uploaded and image which is a screen shot of the rest of the story of the incident.

And with the view by the patio, how can it not be the most perfect setting to enjoy my birthday dinner. We just stuck with water since it was on the warmer side today. We just went straight in for dinner. As much as the appetizers sounded lovely, I was ready for the main event. So for dinner tonight I ordered the charboiled salmon with seasonal veggies in place of the salad. My salmon was plated beautifully with nice char marks on it. The veggies were a variety of squash and were sautéed nicely. And you can tell visually that they were seasoned nicely with spices and herbs. I dug right into my salmon. My first couple bites were delicious. I did spread some of the sun dried tomato butter on my salmon. The butter was fantastic! It added a nice flavor element to the salmon. After I ate about a a fourth of my salmon, I noticed that it was not cooked all the way through in the middle. With my new kidney, I can't have rare or undercooked fish. My immune system can't handle a parasite if the fish were to potentially contain any. I shouldn't have assumed that it was going to be cooked all the way since our server didn't ask how well I wanted it cooked. I did have to send it back and have another one remade. While my new fish was being prepared, my server gave me a small salad plate to transfer my veggies to. I got to work on them so I wasn't staring at my family eat. The veggies were cooked perfectly. They weren't overly soft or still raw. It had a nice bite to them while still being tender. Unfortunately, they were overly seasoned and was on the saltier side. I was hungry so I polished them off. But I did have to drink a good amount of water to help with the saltiness. Thank goodness the portion was on the daintier side. As hungry as I was, it would have been bad if it was a bigger portion. All that salt would not be good on my new kidney. My second round of salmon came out. Was it as pretty as my first plate, no but it will do. I'm sure they set the flame on high, let it sit on the grill for a while and then flipped it to cook the other side. I have cooked salmon well done plenty of times and have it come out tender. When you cook for a living, having cooking times for your dishes should be down to a science in your kitchen. Unfortunately, the salmon was super dry and flavorless. As hungry as I was, I ate it. The butter did help with the dryness of the salmon. But I shouldn't have to rely on butter to make the dish edible. For my birthday, I got a free dessert. I chose the gluten free carrot cake. My cousin eats a gluten free diet so I thought this cake would be perfect for all of us. I enjoyed the cake very much! The cake was moist. The spices in the cake were fragrant and very noticeable in each bite. I loved the frosting on the cake. Since the cake wasn't overly sweet, the frosting added a nice sweetness to it. I enjoyed the cake very much! Our server did a mid job. There were times when she would be gone for long periods of time and we had to wait for her. The patio was perfect with its stunning view. Dinner was ok but dessert was fabulous. Overall it was a decent experience. I do look forward to coming back and enjoying the outdoor patio with my husband for a date night. I just know now to make sure I vocalize everything to my server so I don't end up with dry salmon again. I do want to come back and have a better experience.
