The few times I have been there, I have always ordered the Brussels & Sweets Hash. Oh, the poached pears mixed with the brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes and eggs- yummy in my tummy! This is hands down one of the BEST restaurants I've been to in years!! The Prime Rib was cooked to perfection! The Shepherds Pie was made with Lamb and was amazing! From the atmosphere to the service and the food, everything was absolutely outstanding!! Chef Rob and the kitchen staff produce delicious food! Had breakfast there this morning and the service was just fine. However, two eggs that were supposed to be over Medium were so runny, two tiny little pieces of bacon that look like one piece, broken in half and a small scoop of potato squares that look like it was served up with a tablespoon for $14. It was absolutely infuriating. That was a seven dollar breakfast at best oh and one small slice of toast cut in half. What's happening to Rembrandt? I remember when it used to be good. And now all I hear about is how it's going downhill and this morning it was proven to me, what a shame. I honestly felt like I left there completely ripped off with tip and 2 cups of coffee. I was out the door at $43. For probably two of the same breakfast that should've cost $15-$18. I truly feel like the Owner's laughing all the way to the bank, so I'm done with it. read more

Gave this spot 3 solid chances and they fell short every single time. We will no longer eat here again. 1st time we waited for over and hour for our food and was told by the server they forgot to put our order in. 2nd time we came in and put our name on the list and was told it would be around 10 minute wait to be seated, roughly 45 minutes pass by and we ask the host what the status is of our table and she said that she called our name 5 times which is a lie bc we sat down in the waiting area next to the hostess, we left bc we wouldn't want to wait another 30 minutes for a table. 3rd time the 1st incident happened again. In short this restaurant is a complete failure and ran by young dumb kids that don't care about anything. read more

We found this cute place that it looks like an old church from the outside, but when you walk in, wow, you are greeted by the host, then open the floor with tables everywhere and the bar to the right. Which is a full bar by the way which it opens at 10 am for the full bar. The food was good, and the service was actually pretty good, too. She was training someone and it was all good. You can't disassociate the dinning experience at Rembrandt from the building, which is just majestic! It's a former church building, so dinning in under the vaulted high ceiling, looking out of the lancet windows is half the experience. The other half was very good as well, service was excellent, from the kids greeting you at the entrance, to my server Stacie. I ordered the Pick Any Two Hollandaise option which allows you to mix different Eggs Benedict options, I picked one Avocado, and the second Salmon, both very good. I went in just for the coffee not realizing it was a restaurant. I got a togo coffee which they let you do, I just felt a little awkward getting a togo coffee at a restaurant and they wouldn't let me sit at the"bar" since I had kids with me which makes since but it felt more like a counter than an actual bar. 4 stars for the coffee but won't go back just for coffee. My second visit to Rembrandt's was early Saturday of Easter weekend. Parking lot was nearly full but we got right in with a party of 7 for breakfast. So many great options. I chose Larry's Breakfast because I got the breakfast burrito last time and was headed out of town and couldn't take the leftovers with me (the burrito is pretty big). Larry's is a solid choice of egg, meat, toast and potatoes. I almost got the avocado toast or veggie omelette. So many tempting choices. I'll be back! Used to be my favorite restaurant. Went Thursday evening got French onion soup. First it came out cold. Presentation zero. Soup with a piece of processed bread and a square of very processed cheese on top. Sent it back. On the way back, the waitress put her finger in the soup, presumably to see how cold it was. The kitchen decided to put the whole bowl in the microwave and send it back. Now it was patchy cold, the processed bread had soaked up most of the juice and the cheese had died. The same fingered soup came back. Sent it back. Now they re-microwaved it sans bread, but the bread had soaked up all the juice, so now it was mostly a plate of onions sans most of the fluid, with a new piece of processed bread and processed cheese. The plate was caked dirty now where the juice had been and was still the same fingered soup. All in all pretty disgusting management of cook staff. Mediocre food at best, with a misleading menu. The menu clearly states "happy hour all day Sunday" and directly underneath lists specific food items included. We asked our server if there was any difference in quality between the happy hour and regular menu items, and she assured us the burgers and steaks were identical except for the sides. We explicitly ordered two burgers and a New York strip from the happy hour menu, clearly stating "from the happy hour menu". The burgers were mediocre, served on dry, stale buns. The fries were decent, but the ranch dressing was thin and extremely watered down . The New York strip was just okay, but the mashed potatoes tasted like a diluted, boxed mix. Overall, not worth returning for and WILL NOT RETURN. Now for the bill -- instead of the $9 burgers listed on the happy hour menu, we were charged $18 each. The $15 New York strip was also rung up at $35. With no paper receipt, we could have easily missed the charges. When we asked about the discrepancy, the waitress told us that "people are always confused" and even admitted she was confused herself when she first started working there. She then claimed that Sunday happy hour only applies to drinks. In my opinion, there was not confusing about the way the menu was written. When a restaurant states happy hour days/times then proceeds to list the items... nothing confusing there. We explained that we had clearly ordered from the happy hour menu and even used those exact words when placing our order. At no point did she correct us or clarify any limitations. The pricing was misleading, and the lack of clear communication was deceptive. The manager came out, and while some rude comments were exchanged, the core issue remains: this establishment is fundamentally dishonest. From the way the menu is written to the lack of clear communication by the staff, it feels intentionally misleading. What should have been a simple and enjoyable dining experience turned into frustration over poor food, unclear pricing, and unapologetic service. We won't be returning read more

It was super busy, but it was also a Saturday morning during brunch hour. I strictly came for coffee, so I did not try their food. Ambiance: fun! Lots of activity inside. Busy. Service: 3/10. Thank goodness this wonderful venue survived the economic shutdown! First visiting this former coffee house in 2010 and traveling again in Idaho, we happily returned to dine in the now restaurant. Our food was terrific and the service exceptional. How lovely it is to be able to relax in the gothic former church, surrounded (but not too closely!) by other happy diners. Rembrandt's continues to be a convenient coffee klatch good for conversations and close to the downtown Eagle shops. It is exactly what it sets out to be and not more. Don't go with expectations of world class food and service. I enjoy coming here to catch up with friends while grabbing a snack. Once in a while I catch a great cinnamon roll, or a nice eggs Benedict. Service has always been a struggle with a younger staff using it as an off-duty hangout and high turnover. It's hard getting good help these days to be sure but Rembrandt's has always struggled here. I recommend coming here for an afternoon bite and conversation. read more

I freaking love their patio! Multiple stationary umbrellas which can be rotated and move for when it gets too hot, which even now, October 5th, happens later in the mid morning, as we experienced today. Our server, Bailey, was on point and the food was yummy! Too much pork quesadillas to eat in one sitting so home with me it goes! Bar menu is extensive with craft cocktails and wines. We're looking forward to trying their dinners in the very near future! It's refreshing to have service with a smile and kindness. It goes a long way for us. You know when you brag about how good a restaurant is and you take a friend from out of town & the food was terrible. It ha happened to us all. Went to lunch yesterday. The food was terrible. 2 salads were mushy and wilted. Onion rings and sweet potato fries were burnt. To where they fall apart at 1st bite. They looked burnt do why plate them?? The Rueben sandwich was mushy, tasteless and smashed flat. I checked for butt prints or shoe marks on the sandwich, none apparent. I ate a quarter and couldn't stand the mess. One guest had a sandwich, ate 1/2 and politely requested a box and disposed of it in a can outside. Lunch with my guests was an embarrassment and I apologized after we left. Never again. There are plenty of good dining experiences in the Treasure Valley, not this one. Service was good. It was about 85 degrees inside. read more
