They misdiagnosed a hot water issue at my property, costing me months of time and unnecessary expenses, only to follow it up with high-pressure sales tactics and ridiculous markups. ​Their rep, Jacob, constantly pressured me into making quick decisions and paying immediately. When we finally signed a contract for a premium Navien water heater at a premium price, Reliant pulled a blatant bait-and-switch. They secretly installed a standard, much cheaper Rheem unit without my authorization, pocketing the massive price difference. ​When I called them out on the wrong equipment, they started ghosting me--missing appointments and ignoring messages for weeks. To make matters worse, despite the ongoing dispute over the downgraded equipment, they repeatedly ran unauthorized charges on my credit card on file. ​Management has been abysmal to deal with. On March 11th, I was notified of a massive water leak at my residence. Because I had previously used Reliant Plumbing with great success, I chose to trust them again for this major repair. A technician arrived on March 12th and informed me that the main line from my house to the street needed to be replaced. To avoid future issues, I approved a full replacement at a cost of nearly $10,000, which I paid in full immediately. The line replacement was completed, and I was told that the City of Pflugerville would need to conduct an inspection--something Reliant Plumbing would schedule--after which their team would return to backfill the trench. On March 17th, I received a text asking if the city inspection could be scheduled for March 18th. I responded "yes" promptly. After that, I heard nothing. No confirmation, no update--and no one from the city showed up. Concerned, I followed up again on March 19th via text, and then sent an email on March 20th. Both were completely ignored. No acknowledgment, no response, no accountability. On March 23rd, I finally called and spoke with someone who assured me I'd receive a callback from the permit team. Instead, I received a vague automated text confirming an "appointment" with no explanation. When I called back for clarification, I was told it was "probably" just a notification that the city inspection had already happened and that someone would reach out to schedule the backfill. "Probably"? After paying nearly $10,000 upfront, this is the level of communication and professionalism I get? This has been one of the most frustrating and poorly managed service experiences I've ever had. The complete lack of communication, failure to follow through, and inability to provide clear answers is unacceptable--especially for a project of this size and cost. I called Reliant plumbing for a broken bathroom faucet and to replace two old/corroded toilet shut off valves. My experience with Reliant Plumbing was all positive. When I called Reliant they were able to schedule work the same day! I spoke with Isabel and later Valerie who set up the appointment. Both were responsive and courteous. I was told Michael would be providing the service and given a reasonable quote. She gave me a two hour window. Michael arrived at the start of that time. We did a quick walk through and he was able to quickly assess the hot water portion of the faucet and let me know I would need a specialty part to fix my vintage style faucet. He worked to locate a local specialty supply co. He left to check on the part and he let me know when he would return. (Found out the faucet needs a special cylinder to be ordered and Michael said it would be about a week delivery for order and he will contact me when available). Michael returned shortly later with Victor and both were able to quickly take care of the work on the toilets. I appreciate that I was given clear explanations several times and was told before water would be shut off to the house. Michael and Victor are great at communicating. The plumber then told me he wasn't sure why they sold me the work they did and it's not something they really do. He then told me "I'm not going to charge you the balance since I didn't really do anything". I told him I agree and we both agreed a refund was due. His supervisor was to call if this was an issue. This was on June 22. Since then I have followed up 7 times and am still waiting for the management team to "reach out as soon as possible" To date, I can't get them to process the refund or make any effort to come back out and do the service I paid 50% down on. next step will be a charge back unless "management" reads this and actually reaches out "as soon as possible" whatever that means. read more

They installed the next day - but with a cheap entry level. The homeowner also reported that the dishwasher no longer received water flow. he gave me the faucet part. I ordered it. Another Reliant plumber showed up. pulled everything apart before saying he couldn't connect them. Left. That was 2 days ago and I was supposed to get a manager call. Still waiting. Looked up the instructions online how to fix. All it takes is a couple of fittings. Now how does licensed plumber not carry fittings with them?? DO NOT allow them to call a "leak expert" to your property if there is ever a leak. I regret ever crossing path with them. Here is our story. The plumber we hired to identify a mysterious leak, upon not being able to identify the leak and getting his invoice of $485 paid, he offered to call a "leak expert", "American Water Damage" - The nightmare begun. When James Morrow, from AWD, arrived, no one told us that he was there only to perform water mitigation--not to locate the leak. James also never clearly explained his actual role. Instead, he inspected the moisture, marked the walls, and confidently claimed that the water was coming from the HVAC system. This reinforced our reasonable belief that the plumber had called a more experienced leak specialist to help identify the source. Two HVAC inspections later proved James's conclusion wrong. Even more disturbing, James began cutting open our dining room, hallway, and laundry room walls without permission, and later on handed me his phone to sign, reassuring me that it was 'just so' he could file a claim with the insurance and treat the house with an anti microbial, reassuring me that he has been doing this for over 30 years and that we didn't have to worry about a thing. Later on James even suggested that we inflated the price way above our deductible so we could pay for their services, repair our walls and "have some money left" in my "pocket". Though feeling progressively trapped by these intruders, I disagreed. Once AWD realized money wasn't coming, they entered our property without notice to remove their fans, and later on sent a very inflated $10,650.57 bill. They up charge the customers BAD and the 'plumber' (installer) make a huge commission off the sale (don't purchase the sale products!!) and they can "sell" their work order to another plumber at whatever price the current plumber of that work order wants to charge, for that, OTHER plumber to take over. So basically, the second plumber needs to make 'more' off that job to benefit. Oh! and the reviews on here are a joke. Most of them are 'plants' from their families putting in a (fake) good reviews by mentioning the name of that worker. The 'installer' gets $75/per every good review that mentions them by name. They don't conduct criminal background check nor drug screenings, only a driving record is done. I've done my research on a few of these guys' backgrounds and they're all drug addicts (meth) at least three that I know of, and a guy named Keller, nearly killed someone by chocking them and another for family violence. Alan Torres the manager and Owner, Max Hicks, do not care about the community. Emails always go unanswered, no one calls back. Just an endless, money scam, with a high turnover rate for a reason. I recently hired Reliant Plumbing in Cedar Park to install a new faucet, handle, and shower head, and to recaulk three showers and four toilets. For the price I paid, which was $1600, I expected a much higher level of workmanship and attention to detail. The caulking work was especially disappointing. They left old caulk on the floors around the toilets and in the showers. One of the plumbers cut himself and tried to clean the blood off the floor, but it was still smeared when they left. In one shower they removed white caulk and replaced only the bottom edge with clear, even though I thought I was paying for the entire shower to be recaulked. They also didn't fully clean the areas before applying new caulk, leaving small amounts of soap grime behind. I could see it under the clear caulk. One shower was recaulked while the surface was still wet, so the caulk didn't stick well. The lines were messy and uneven, no better than what I could have done myself, which is the reason I hired a professional in the first place. I did reach out to management, and they did send someone back out. The second plumber improved a few things, but the results were still not what I would expect from a professional company and the amount they charged. They also only caulked the bottom of the shower and not the glass partitions, which I assumed would be included. I reached out after the second time but didnt get a call back or reply email. Overall, the work I received didn't match the price I paid or the expectations I had for a professional plumbing service. I should have asked more detailed questions about what the job included, but even then, the quality should have been better. I appreciate that they tried to make it right, but I still can't say I'm satisfied with the final result or lack of getting back to me after their second trip. I had an active water leak from my kitchen sink. The guy who came to my house was not dressed like a plumber, but like a salesman. I showed him where the leak was. He cut a big hole in my sheetrock, observed the leak, then immediately asked if I had a water softener & said he thinks it's bad. He asked me to show him where it was located so I took him to the garage where he glanced at it & said ,"yep, it's bad, that's the cause of your leak." He then asked where my water heater was & I said right next to the water softener you're looking at, in that closet. He opened the closet door & said, "yeah your water heater is also bad & about to go out too." He then began his whole 30 minute sales pitch trying to sell me a new water softener & water heater for $10k+!!! Not once did he mention just the cost of repairing my leak which he was there for in the first place, he immediately went into scam mode! I asked him for literature on the products he was trying to sell me & he said he didn't have any! So I asked, how much to fix the leak? He could not hide the anger in his face that I did not fall for his sales pitch & said $1,500.00. To top it all off, he didn't even repair the leak. He put black duct tape around it, left it actively leaking & said he will have a plumber come out tomorrow to fix it & left a mess with all the sheetrock he cut into. The plumber arrived, fixed the leak & was in & out in 15 minutes. After watching him, I saw he used about a foot of blue pex tubing & 2 clamps to make the repair, which is literally less than $30 in materials. I told the plumber (who was actually a nice guy) that the salesman was a complete rip off & he responded, "yeah it's like that sometimes." So if you're looking to get sold $10k worth of stuff you don't need to fix your leak call Reliant! They will take good care of you!!!! Do Not RELY On Reliant!!! read more

They told her the water heater urgently needed to be replaced, pressured her, scared her so that she scheduled an emergency replacement job. They insisted she pay for the job in advance: $4200. When my wife hired a water damage specialist, the guy showed up and told her the leak was definitely not from the water heater. She then canceled the job. They threatened her with a cancellation fee. I got home from my trip, called Reliant, and got them to agree over email to waive the cancellation fee, and cancel the job. A month later, they still have not issued a refund. It's way worst than this, but I don't have time to type it up because this is what I have been left with. Currently backfilling a 40' trench that has been here for 22 days because: 1. They never pulled a permit until two weeks after work started. 2. They misdiagnosed the problem and didn't fix the issue until I demanded a technician come back out. Then told me to pour Drano down my tub to fix the issue they didn't want to come back for. 3. Took apart my irrigation system, told me they would put it back together and are refusing to now. They didn't mark the irrigation box, and the mound of dirt has been here so long we are left with shreds of plastic. Which is why it will now take me hours to finish this. This very well may be the worst company of any kind in Austin. Max H, don't bother responding as you do to all other 1 star posts with your BS about sincere apologies. Your company is a legit scam. My story: I have a 2-year old water heater that is functioning great, and decided would try to perform annual maintenance for once to extend the life of this one. I signed up for a water heater "flush" for $99. Daniel Gonzales comes out, hooks up a hose, drains it for 5 minutes, and leaves. I'm surprised as I've watched youtube videos on this, and saw then flushing water through (not only draining) and cleaning the anode rod of any corrosion / buildup. Well... not with Reliant, you don't get anything of actual value. Ok whatever, I'm out $99 dollars and nothing happened. I move on. The next day I notice the drip pan is starting to fill and wonder if there's a new leak somehow in my water heater. 2 weeks later, I notice water leaking all the way out my garage and onto the driveway... indeed there's a leak. We never had a leak or any issue prior to this absolute horsecrap service. Call Reliant, they are super disorganized between the office secretary and the actual plumbers. Mixed messages and no clarity on how this will be fixed. And Daniel calls me back and diagnoses the problem on the phone that "its definitely not anything that they did that could cause this." lol really? I have an almost new water heater, in working condition. You come and fiddle with it, promptly beginning a NEW leak, and then you're able to tell over the phone that it's not related to the work you did? It couldn't be more obvious of a lie given you're willing to make that claim without actually seeing the water heater. Anyway, we insist he comes back to fix it. He shows up eventually looks at it, claims its not his fault, and slaps us with a $1700 estimate to fix a bunch of stuff that ISNT BROKEN, not even related to the leak. My wife, god bless her, doesn't take this crap, and insists he fix the damn leak. He tightens the connection on top where the leak seems to be coming from and voila, no more leak. I'm 98% certain this connection was loosened intentionally to drive more business and rack up charges. Now after reading all the reviews on Yelp I'm even more confident that is the case. I had an extremely frustrating experience with Reliant and would strongly caution others before using them. I contracted their services on 2/3 for a drain cleaning and specifically followed up to request a camera inspection prior to the cleaning because the work was part of an insurance claim and required documentation. The dispatcher confirmed this request was added to my service notes. I rearranged my entire day expecting their arrival by mid-afternoon, even rescheduling mold mitigation services to the following morning to accommodate them. However, I received no communication until 7 p.m., and when the technicians finally arrived, they did not have the camera equipment I explicitly requested. Since their next available appointment conflicted with the mitigation services I had already rescheduled, I had no choice but to send them away. At that point, I requested a refund so I could move on to another contractor. What followed was an exhausting runaround: * I called at least four times over the next week and was repeatedly told the "refund department" would call me, which never happened. * After about a week, I was told a manager had to talk with me before processing the refund and that a call appointment was scheduled. That call never happened. * Instead, the original plumber showed up at my house unexpectedly, saying he was sent there for reasons unknown but had approved my refund. Yet, no refund has been issued. It has now been two weeks, and I still have not received my money back. When I called again, I was promised a manager would contact me within 10-20 minutes. That was four hours ago. On top of that, many calls are routed to an AI agent ("Sarah") rather than a real person, making it nearly impossible to resolve issues. I cannot speak to the quality of their plumbing work because the service was never completed, but their operations and customer service are disorganized, unresponsive, and extremely frustrating. We had a tankless water heater installed in Sept 2024 after our conventional water heater blew up again. The guy who came in to do the quote was knowledgeable (Alan), if not annoyed at all our questions. Once we signed the dotted line, he disappeared (along with any plumbing knowledge), and two very inexperienced guys set to installing the tankless water heater. Alan told us he would install a comfort valve if we didn't get water quickly in our kitchen, but 8 hours later when we tested, water wasn't hot for at least 3-4 mins. But they had no idea about installing a valve. I should have refused to pay but i just wanted them gone. I also then got SPAMMED by literally hundreds of calls from Reliant trying to get me to sign up for the annual maintenance starting in Feb 2025 and extending until Sept 2026 when i called them to tell them to lose my number. The calls did stop, thankfully. Now we have finally called a different plumber, and they said the setup on the tankless is set FOR comfort valves, even though one doesn't exist in our setup. NEVER USE RELIANT. I called a driver out to my work. The first time he showed up he went to the opposite side of the complex and avoided the building that actually had lights on. I yelled and tried to flag him down, he then left. He then called and said he would be back in 5-10 minutes. When he returned, he went to the same dark place on the opposite side of the complex. Again I tried to flag him down and yelled for him. He then rolled his window down and yelled at me "Why are you yelling?" To which I replied "because I am trying to get your attention." Then he said "well I cant hear you." To which I replied "That's why I am yelling." By that point he had made a U-turn in the complex with his truck pointed at me. He then proceeded to flick me off while he drove his truck at me at an increased speed and left. I reached out to their dispatch and was put in contact with the manager. After 3 phone calls over 12-18hrs with the manager. I was told the situation would be addressed and that someone would be in contact with me. I waited all day without hearing anything, then called in. The manager informed me that he would not discuss the issue. Absolutely no one reached out to resolve the issue or offer to do the service. FROM TOP TO BOTTOM,, RELIANT IS A JOKE. It takes a special kind of people to be this bad at their jobs. NEVER USE RELIANT. read more

I rarely leave business reviews unless I feel a company deserves it for their poor practices, price gouging, etc. We own one rental property and the tenant complained of a switch on the water heater not functioning. Reliant Plumbing popped in my mind due to their ads, trucks, etc being everywhere. They came the next day which I appreciated. The plumber began his call with me with a manufactured crisis and how the almost 10 year old water heaters were not properly maintained, were falling apart and that they needed to be replaced or rebuilt at the cost of $8000+. We settled on replacing sons items which totaled around $2000 with parts and labor. They were supposed to show up Jan. 1st. from 8-12. The tenant and I waited only for Reliant Plumbing to tell us their supplier was closed for New Year's Day. They rescheduled for today, 1/2 from 8-noon. At 12:04 Reliant called and told me they have to reschedule again because their supplier needs to order the parts which will take 3-7 business days. My complaints are, shouldn't you know when your supplier is open and not open? It's a major hassle for me and my tenant to keep waiting on you to reschedule and get the parts. What should have been a quick turnaround time will now be dragged out a possible 2 weeks. I called to speak to whomever runs the Lakeway/Bee Caves location and no one has returned my call. Now my poor tenant is stuck over the weekend with no hot water, I have no response from a manager. I would find another plumber but you have taken half the money. Also, having looked at other reviews, it seems the owner, Max H, trains all his plumbers to catastrophize the issue, upsell homeowners for thousands and thousands of dollars and charge way more money than necessary. Max, this business practice does not instill trust in you or Reliant Plumbing! BE WARNED!!! The plumber who came to look at my plumbing blockage did not come equipped with a camera, even though he knew he was coming to look at a plumbing blockage. He first insisted the master shower was the problem, and that it would cost $10,000 to get the plumbing in the shower repaired. When I felt that he was obviously wrong with his diagnosis and the cost, he then told me the problem was the guest commode area, with the fix at $10,000. The next day he came back with the necessary camera, so he could actually do his job correctly. He told me my house did not have a septic drain cleanout, and was pressuring me to pay $2500 for him to put one in. Since I was smart enough to know a house has a septic drain cleanout, regardless of whether he was capable of finding it or not, he was forced to call the company's actual experts, who came and immediately located the cleanout. They put a camera down the Main septic line, and discovered that I had tree roots in the line. They measured the distance with me to the problem roots, to the septic tank, etc, and showed me the line for the whole of 50 feet, numerous times. After they left, the original Reliant employee told me the whole 50 feet of line was damaged, and it would be $17,000 to repair. He attempted to show me the camera down the line BACKWARDS, trying to convince me it was from the forward direction, making it look worse. I had become familiar with the location of the blockage, and also knew the measurements the honest plumbers had gone over with me multiple times just a few minutes before. He was not happy that I was smart enough to once again not believe him, nor trust his price. I sent him on his way after paying an exorbitant amount for his "services". I then got 4 different estimates for replacing the main line, all in the $1800 to $4000 range, so of course hired those who were fair and honest. I contacted Reliant offices MANY times, asking to speak to a manager, was refused, and after several weeks of persistence, got a call from someone who was obviously NOT a manager. I knew this, because he was completely unconcerned with my experience, the ineptness of the employee, and the permanent loss of a customer. After talking to several neighbors about my experience with Reliant Plumbing, I learned that the plumbers there are given a bonus for securing a job over 10,000. I ordered their membership service a few weeks ago that is supposed to provide priority scheduling, discounts on services and yearly flush of hot water tank. I scheduled my appointment for this past tuesday morning and no one showed up. they called in the afternoon and said oh not sure what happened can we come on wednesday morning i said sure. wednesday morning comes and goes again no tech, i call cause no one called me and they say oh so sorry can we come thursday morning between 8-12, i said ya if your actually going to show up, they said we will be there for sure first thing in morning, we won't miss you this time. i wait till a little after 12 cause again no call from them so i call and she says oh we had an emergency call you should be next. i would think you missed me two days in a row i should be considered an emergency also. i said never mind cancel the appointment and my membership and i want a refund on the membership. she says i need to send her an email request. oh so you haven't done your job for three days in a row and now i have to take more time out of my day to sit down and send you an email. no just cancel my account and send the refund for a service you can complete. stay away form this company if you actually want your job to get done without having to take 4 or more days of from work. read more

if I could give zero stars I would. having a routine water heater flush apparently includes the tech FORGING your signature on the liability form, being incredibly condescending to the homeowners by letting them know to go on youtube to find out what he is doing, smelled gas and performed a gas leak detection and never let me know, and then when I called to find out why I smelled gas, he said he did in fact smell gas prior to emptying the water heater (WHICH HE NEVER TOLD ME). thats not helpful nor fixing a potential gas leak situation. I have been trying to call for 5 days and I have been pushed off by multiple people. seems that no one is trained properly in this company. I was informed that a company wide training will be had (seems as though I am not the only one experiencing RIDICULOUS service.) The ONLY reason I had them come out to do any work at all whatsoever is because they called me no less than 14 times to schedule our 'FREE(?!?!)' water heater flush since we had work done last year by them. I finally gave in even though we ALL know anyone else would have done a better job than someone who FORGED MY SIGNATURE ON THE LIABILITY FORM. Grounds for a lawsuit considering I STILL have air in my pipes 5 days later and was told to 'run the water for 1-5 minutes'. This is absurd. This company is a joke. Beware of Fraudulent Practices - My $26,000+ Lesson with Reliant Plumbing I had an extremely disappointing and financially damaging experience with Reliant Plumbing that I feel compelled to share so others can avoid the same mistake. In April 2025, I contacted Reliant Plumbing to inspect a water leak from the exterior wall behind my kitchen. After a quick inspection, they quoted me $6,950 and began excavation outside my home. Midway through the work, they abruptly stopped and presented a new quote--$26,519.45--for a full kitchen line replacement, claiming the issue was severe. They asked me to apply for financing on the spot through Synchrony, which was instantly approved, and the full amount was charged immediately. Concerned by this sudden escalation, I sought a second opinion from my home builder's contractor (Mustang Plumbing), who found the real issue--a simple nail puncturing the pipe in the wall. They removed the nail, sealed the pipe, and the leak was resolved within hours for a total cost of $250. Reliant's extensive dig, inflated quote, and diagnosis were completely false and unnecessary. I emailed Reliant requesting a refund. In response, a representative named Jonathan visited and promised a full refund if I paid $2,930 for site restoration. I paid--yet the refund was never processed. Despite promises and documentation, Reliant Plumbing has ignored follow-ups and failed to honor their commitment. I followed up multiple times via emails, text messages, calls, only to hear that someone from management will contact me to resolve this. And that never happened. No one from Reliant Plumbing ever called to resolve this. This isn't just about the money--it's about a deliberate misdiagnosis, pressure tactics to secure on-the-spot financing, and refusal to refund after admitting fault. I have reported the case to the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners, and I strongly advise others to stay away from this company. Dishonest, unethical, and utterly unprofessional. read more

10-17 Jacob came out to cap off a gas line. Turned off the gas, capped off the line, charged me, then left. He never turned the gas back on. He said he checked for leaks, but how with the gas turned off? Its friday evening and they cant get back out here until Monday. Is Jacob licensed to do gas work? I'll update this review after I find out. 10-18 Still not fixed. Got a new guy coming out tomorrow. Texas Railroad Commission doesn't list Radiant plumbing as a licensed LPG contractor. When we came to Austin 18 months ago we got a service contract with Reliant. Big mistake. They often don't show up and don't call to warn that they are not coming. They installed shower heads that never worked right and after multiple attempts we gave up. Basically their scheduling department is terrible and regardless of when they say they will come it is a total crap shoot on whether they come at all. They don't deserve your business. read more

I've used Relaint before and they were always great. Today was no exception. Arturo and Alan came over on a Sunday. It was cold. My hot water heater had stopped working overnight. I had spent about an hour messing with the pilot trying to get it working to no avail. They got it working for no charge. They also identified some issues with the water heater that may require repair or replacement soon and sent me an estimate. They will be the first people I call. read more

Avoid this company at all costs! We had a broken pipe in one of the bathrooms that caused water to spill out all over. We turned the water off, cleaned up, and requested an estimate for the next day. A lumber did not show up. Instead, a sales man cosplaying a plumber who literally didn't say a word to me and made me feel very uncomfortable as he was inspecting the problem -- until it was time for the sales pitch. He turned on the charm as he scrolled his iPad, starting with the first recommendation of literally redoing the entire house in copper piping for a mere $10,000. He then had his next "tier" which was a lower grade pipe material for around $5,000. But if I "only" wanted to repair the bathroom sink, he said it would be $1,600 and they would have to rip into the wall, etc. I needed this done right away and was stressed, so I signed the work order and he took an $800 deposit on the spot and said his crew would be there later to do the work. He then proceeded to sit in his truck in front of the house for about an hour, which was strange. Once I had a minute to snap back into reality, I realized this quote felt insane. I remembered I had used another company previously, Mango, who were amazing and, most important, honest. I called them to come give a quote, and called Imperial to indefinitely pause the work order, to which they agreed. Mango did an ispection, said it was perposterous that the wall needed to be cut into and did the fix in no time for 1/4 of the price, PLUS offered to eyeball other sinks and drains since a new tenant was moving in. They explained that this was a typical tactic of many big plumbers: send a trained sales guy out to upsell you for a crazy package so that the wildly overpriced "basic" fix seems more reasonable. Once we agreed to go with Mango, whom we should have called first, we called Imperial and canceled the job and requested the deposit to be refunded, which they agreed to. Instead, the money was never refunded for over a week, and we had to call multiple times to request they refund. The ONLY did so after a "manager" called us to "better understand" why we canceled and then try and pitch us AGAIN on why they provide great service. It was a bait and switch and hassle, and I would recommend people NEVER call these sheisters. read more

The service window was from noon to 6, post spring freeze to replace my back flow preventer, and to weatherized my above ground pipe at the back flow preventer. The technician came at 6:30 when it was dark and couldn't do the actual work, needed to come back but also required that I pay over $2k upfront. When I asked Reliant, after the work was completed, for a detailed invoice to include the part number of the back flow preventer; they told me no, they wouldn't provide any additional detail because Reliant bills at a flat rate by the job. I had asked for the back flow preventer to be replaced when I called to set up the appointment but they didn't give me the flat rate price. They told me they wouldn't provide me the any additional detail, to know what they replaced on my house, but could have someone call me. No one called. Lakeway Plumbing is who I should have called. Lakeway Plumbing has transparent billing and has always done a great job. I am including pictures of the finished work by Reliant which included weatherizing the replaced part and the above ground pipes to protect against freezing. The work that was performed was good. But the extraordinary pricing is crazy. I had to replace a hot water heater, they tried to convince me that it was going to cost 8 1/2 thousand dollars to replace it, I eventually negotiated them down to $4000. I was in a hurry so I didn't have a chance to talk to other companies, but I did call a few afterwards and I was told that the job should've cost around $2800. Ridiculously overpriced. read more

The first crew led by a guy named Alan was careless and scratched up our master bath jacuzzi tub badly. They also were careless with removing floor tiles, with sloppy cutting that required me to replace a lot more tiles than needed. A second crew came out and did good work, so I paid them trusting that they would fix the damaged bath tub, but they stopped returning my phone calls and after 6 attempts I just gave up. DO NOT HIRE Reliant, you don't know if you'll get the good crew or the bad crew. read more

I am writing to warn potential customers about a deceptive business practice I experienced with Reliant Plumbing. After a service call, I was surprised to see an unauthorized "Annual Membership" for $213 added to my final invoice. This membership, which I was never told about, includes a minimum 12-month commitment and auto-renewal. When I contacted the company to cancel and get a refund for this charge, which I consider to be a result of their deceptive business practices, I was promised on multiple occasions that a manager would call me back that same business day. These promises were not kept. I then received a written confirmation that my refund and cancellation would be processed, but weeks later, nothing has been done. This experience has been extremely frustrating. The company's practice of adding services without customer knowledge and then failing to resolve the issue is unacceptable. I urge anyone considering using Reliant Plumbing to be very careful and to scrutinize their invoices closely. read more

Terrible company. We had a clogged toilet and they said that after it was fixed, we needed to get a commercial toilet put into our home, which is residential. After some research, we found out that that would break our plumbing system. When we told them we didn't want it. They're charging us a cancellation fee. Never ever use stay away. I want to give 0 stars but it makes me give 1 minimum I paid a very high fee for an emergency repair. The quality of the work was good, but after taking my credit card #, they asked my husband for payment and he gave them a check. Then they proceeded to also charge my credit card twice TRIPLE charging us. They notified me of the error, and said they would reverse the credit card charges but did not. After over a DOZEN phone calls that were not returned, I finally gave up and contacted my credit card company who was able to reverse the charges. I have never had anything like this happen in my decades of home ownership and I cannot emphasize enough NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! read more

I called Reliant on 05.10.25 and scheduled an appointment for their 8:00 AM to Noon time slot to have a toilet supply line leak repaired. At around 10:00 AM a representative named Alan showed up. He said that I needed to install shut off valves at the street and a new toilet in addition to repairing the leaking toilet supply line. I said if we were going to replace the toilet that I wanted a toilet bidet in rather than a regular toilet. He gave me the price which was over 4k to all this work and said he would be back in an hour with the parts. After three hours I had not heard from anyone so I text the number provided. They called and said someone should be there between 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM. At 3:30 PM I got text that the technician was 19 miles away. An hour later I text back and questioned where the technician might as the map showing his location showed him in the same place he was the hour before when I got the text that he was on his way. At about 5:30 a different technician named Jorge showed up. He reviewed the work to be done and that was when I learned that Alan was "the salesman". As we discussed the work to be done, Jorge mentioned that they would have to come back to instal the toilet seat bidet in a few days. I explained I didn't want a toilet seat bidet. I wanted a toilet bidet in one. We agreed to not replace my toilet but do the other work. When he was done he called into his office in my presence to ask them to remove the toilet and toilet seat bidet. It was then I learned they had billed my card for the whole amount before they had even done the work. The office rep told him that Alan would call me Monday and they would work out the refund. I never heard from Alan or Reliant on Monday or Tuesday. On Wednesday AM I called and explained the this whole story the office again. They assured me a manager would call me back that day. I did not hear from Reliant or Alan at all that week. I called again on Saturday the 17th and explained the whole thing to Abby. Abby assured me that someone would call me Monday between 4:00 and 6:00 PM. I explained to Abby that whats she was telling me was the same thing I had heard previously and that I was not confident someone would call me. It's Tuesday the 20th and I have yet to receive any calls from Reliant Plumbing regarding this matter. They have not provided me a receipt for the work either. Each time Reliant has set an expectation they have failed to meet the expectation they set. From time of the appointment, to the work to be done, and to a return call. Because they have failed t call me back or refund me for the work that was not done, I have disputed the charges. I would not recommend this organizations for plumbing work. Post my review I received a call. During that call Allen said he would call me right back. That was approximately seven hours ago and I've yet to receive the call back. 05.21.25 7:57 PM I've yet to hear back from Allen or Reliant and my credit card has yet to be refunded for the work. I have now disputed the charges in total because it is clear Reliant is not going to respond. 05.29.25 7:42 PM It's June 12, 2021 at 7:28 AM and I am on the phone with them again. Still no resolution, no refund and the same story. All I can do is take a message and have someone get back to you. I've said I wont get off the phone until this is resolved. Now I'm hold. read more
