Unethical business practices. They said the would cancel my previous provider. They didn't. Was billed from my previous provider and Reliant. Received an email from Reliant advising that the could not cancel and that I needed to call them. After calling them, they lowered my bill. Reliant charged me $111 to get out of their contract. Salesman at 7.34 pm rings bell. Ignores "No Solicitation " signs posted at sub division entrance. City of Katy has a no solicitation ordinance. Permits are required. Katy P D was called, and informed. When asked to leave subdivision he suggested that there are plenty of similar signs in town. Asked if he had a permit , he didn't . He and his colleague communicated, and finally left after I started recording the unsolicited event. From City of Katy "Solicitors and Peddlers" The City of Katy's Ordinance No. 2243, regulates home solicitations, charitable solicitations, and itinerant merchants. Peddlers and solicitors must obtain a permit from, and register with the Katy Police Department. A registered Solicitor will be wearing an identification card that is issued by the Katy Police Department and is clearly visible to the public. A registered Solicitor is allowed to be in the city during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. If for any reason you believe that an individual may appear suspicious, please contact the Katy Police Department at 281.391.4848. This company is a thief and scam! I signed up for their service and paid on time everytime but when I moved I canceled my service with them. They claimed I have a contract with them but the contract isn't valid if I no longer live there which I told them I no longer live there. They continued billing me and sent me into collection for $130. As a local realtor and homeowner we all know this is unethical for a business to continue charging a customer for a service they no longer need when they MOVE. I paid my collection dues because I do not want bad credit and they can keep the money they scammed me out of. I'm sorry but I can't recommend this company. We have spiders, bugs and ants all the time. Two guys came today and spray the backyard (5 min). Than they were talking outside about 15 min and left. Sales rep door knocked promising certain services and promised that we can cancel any time if unhappy with services. First service got done and not all the things that we're promised were done so we tried cancelling the service and now we're being told that there is a $75 cancellation fee. Reliant is by far the best pest control company I've ever used. We were having some work done on our windows and bugs started spewing out of the window frame! They had me send a photo and verified almost immediately that they weren't termites. Then they had a technician out in 30 min to take care of the situation. His name was Frank and he was so knowledgeable! Within a couple hours all the ants were dead/dying and we haven't had an issue since. The best! read more

I truly don't know how they have these many good reviews. We had their service for over a year. We had the preventive termite treatment. We found termites on a Tuesday, called them and left a message. Called them back on Thursday and left a message. Called them on Friday, spoke to manager and she said she didn't have anyone available until Monday. We are leaving for 6 months tomorrow and don't have anyone who could let them into the house. She didn't really care and said she couldn't have anyone earlier than Monday. She said she had returned my call...she called a different phone number. They pressure sell at your front door and try to get you into a binding contract on the spot before you have a chance to research the chemical they apply. My sales guy wouldn't leave until I signed up with the promise that it would really help him and I could cancel. I made him write it in the notes. I cancelled. They didn't note it. Came to my house when I wasn't home and did a service so they could start the contract. But since I wasn't home could only do front lawn. But charged me for full lawn. Horrible service and techs. Tech came out without calling. Let tech know that I'll be on my way in 10 minutes. Tech and rep said it was fine . Tech calls 5 minutes later to say he's going to next appointment and he'll come back afterwards. My. neighbor tells me he let 10 minutes ago. He never waited. Posting simply based on their solicitation at 7:45pm ringing my doorbell waking both of my young kids up to try to sell me something I don't need in a neighborhood that prohibits soliciting. My husband confronted him and the guy back talk to him and cussed at him so we ended up calling the police to have them straighten it out. Didn't know about your company before this but certainly won't ever use you based on how your employees handle business. Gabriel was super nice and did what appeared to be a thorough job. My big complaint is about the one month mosquito treatment...total joke. Our home was supposedly sprayed a few days ago. I walk outside (literally right in front of my house) and was feasted on by some Mosquitos. Other words, that stuff don't work! Save your money. UPDATE: so I received a message after posting my review that told me to call; I stupidly assumed so they could make things right. Instead when I call and speak to Kayla, she basically tells me that the mosquito treatment just doesn't work in some areas (guess I am in one of those areas)? She also proceeded to say that if I buy the monthly mosquito package I may see an improvement. Why in the world would I buy more of something that did not work the first time? Also, since leaving my first review I have seen no changes in spider activity. That was the entire reason I sought pest control to begin with. Again, I hear excuses about why I am actually seeing more spiders. I just need something that works and what you have doesn't. Lowering my review to one star because of that waste of time phone call I just made. Solved and fixed absolutely nothing. read more

This is a great company! The door knocker (Craig) that stopped by our house about a year ago was extremely respectful and had a great attitude - no matter how much I hated on Manziel (he was an Aggie). We have their quarterly service and are confident every time we recommend them to friends and family that they're a solid company to use. We have never had an issue, their response time is great and they're just good people. Side story: We live in a relatively new section of our neighborhood, so they're still out in the area from time to time. They send an automatic phone call reminder when you are due for service, come spay outside and leave you a receipt. This company sent their pushy salesperson to my new home two days in a row. I kept telling him my husband would decide, but on day two he tricked me into signing a contract - by telling me it was just 'preliminary paperwork'. My husband is furious with me for signing a contract like that and I feel like a fool. I can't believe this salesman was so unethical. Haven't been happy with Reliant so I called to cancel service. They reminded me that I signed a one year contract. After verifying that they said they would sent a manager out to service our home exterior and set an appointment for two days later. The technician, Ron Bjork, arrived with another technician, Dylan Brown, early in the morning. The only problem I had was that they didn't call to tell me they were on their way. I was in the shower when they got here, but my wife was up so she conversed with them. As far as I can tell they did everything they should for the outside. They swept spider nests and eggs from the eaves and porch, put dust in holes in brick and in spots where bees nests usually are, sprayed the foundation for spiders/bugs. I am happy with what Ron and Dylan did, and they explained to me just what they did. Hope this kind of service continues! Plus Reliant did not charge me for this re-service. read more

The service of the guys that went to my house was good, but I feel so so frustrated about the customer service from the office, they are bad on communicating to coordinate and schedule for my next service, not consistent. I guess they called me one time, they couldn't get a hold of me and they sent me to Collections for Early Contract termination!! First time ever someone from Collections calls me and for this!! Of course I paid to Collections but wish that money had been used for a pest control service! Never again dealing with a Drama company like this one. Terrible customer service. They will claim to tell you that after two treatments your home should improve. We not only did not see any improvement but it in fact got worse. When we called to cancel service they asked me to pay a $150 fee for cancellation and would not refund me for the treatments, even though they didn't do anything for my home! After half an hour of talking to them on the phone they finally agreed to drop the $150 fee but still wouldn't refund for the treatments. Do NOT use this pest control service! read more
