We found Reliable Delivery on Angies List where their ratings are off the charts. They efficiently gave us a quote, and set up a move date for us. We had gradually moved our non-furniture stuff to our new house in Encinitas over a two week period, so the movers just needed to get our big, heavy stuff from our downtown apartment to our new house. The movers showed up promptly at the 8 AM start time and got to work. Movers were timely, fast and successfully moved all of our furniture to our new house. The movers finished an hour faster than their original estimate. I was surprised at how efficient the entire operation was, and couldn't have asked for a better experience. In a sea of stressful things that go into buying a house, it was nice that Reliable Delivery was able to keep our moving experience as stress free and easy as possible. Great pricing, and would recommend highly to anyone moving around the San Diego area. It should be noted that you should try and pay with cash. There is a hefty credit card surcharge, and using a credit card makes your job ineligible for any of the offered discounts you can find. read more

I used RD last week for my move across town. The movers were right on time, had a fantastic attitude, and moved my stuff quickly - in the rain, no less! All of my stuff arrived at my new place in-tact and undamaged. They wouldn't move electronics that weren't in boxes, per company policy. Unfortunately for me, I didn't have any boxes big enough for the stuff, so that meant I had to schlep it myself. Overall though, I was very happy with the service. They were great! This is untill it came time to pay... I found RD on Yelp, and part of the draw, in addition to the great reviews, was the 10% discount. They offer a 10% Yelp discount, 15% Active Duty Military discount, and a 10% cash discount, none of which could be combined - which is reasonable. But what I didn't know was that the Yelp discount IS the cash discount. So when I didn't have cash (I wanted to charge on my Amazon card and get those points!), I was denied the discount. Nowhere in my contract did it say the Yelp and cash discount were the same. I even called the owner on the spot, who was not in any way sympathetic or apologetic. Basically, he made me feel like it was my fault for not knowing the cash and Yelp discount were the same since, "none of his other customers was confused by the language." I was shocked! To add insult to injury, there is a credit card processing fee! Had I known that, I would have happily paid cash. If you decide to go with Reliable Delivery, make sure you understand exactly what you're getting in to, and use cash. I will not be using them again, nor will I be reccommending them to anyone else. While the movers themselves were awesome, the owner's lack of clear communication and poor customer service ruined the experience for me. read more

What a great team! After sending an inquiry, Daniel was quick to respond with a quote and was eager to help. We quickly arranged the move, and it was no issue that I gave only 4 days heads up (yes, I am one of 'those' procrastinators). On the day of my move, they called to give me a more accurate time, which really helped with planning, and were there right when they said they would and started right away! I was worried with being on the third floor with no elevator, but they handled it perfect, no harm done to any of the furniture. Once we arrived at my new home, we did a walk thru to show where everything goes, and they got to work! They got everything done in great timing and kept to business the whole time! I was extremely worried at first with moving. It's always more stressful to find good movers at a good price, especially on more difficult moves from multiple level apartments or condos. I also have large furniture (large sectional couch, 5x5' dining table with bar stool chairs, large glass entertainment system, 48" TV with no box, etc) but you would never of guessed that it was an issue, they wrapped everything up and made sure it was packed correctly to cause no damage. But Reliable Delivery came through with shining colors! Josh, Chris and Nate were professional, fast, and made the move easy. If I ever had to move again, I would not hesitate to use Reliable Delivery. Highly Recommend!!! read more

I needed to have a some furniture between 3 different local locations. Josh was great in helping me schedule the move quickly and on the dates I needed with very short notice. Colin and Matt did a great job moving a very difficult piece of furniture. They were very professional, clean and polite. They also outbid the three other companies that I called. I would defiantly use this company again and will recommend them to anyone who needs a great moving company and a great price. read more

I have never actually been upset enough to write a bad review before. I own my own business and I know how even with the best intentions, sometimes things go awry. But my experience with Reliable Movers - its been bad from the first moment, and since I used Yelp reviews to choose them, I feel obligated to let people know how it went. I spoke to the owner, Dan, on the phone in the afternoon on Friday and explained that we were in a bind and really needed to move our business from a downtown location to a new spot in Point Loma - and that it had to be done this weekend. I know that's super short notice and so I appreciated that he was able to promise me a crew on Saturday. I asked him if he wanted to look at our shop to estimate properly, but he said to send a form (very simple, just asked how many square feet and what general type of stuff). We packed and boxed everything we could and expected it to be a fairly simple job. He quoted me $130 over the phone for 3 guys and 1 truck. Then he sent me an email saying it would actually be $150, though I had actually expected it to be cheaper since the yelp ad promised a discount for mentioning yelp. And my big mistake happened right here. He said it was more expensive because they were going to send 2 trucks and 1 more dude. I should have asked: "What size truck?" - but I didn't. I assumed they would send a big box truck. So I said, I think 1 truck could do it (thinking 24 foot). So a wee little 16 foot truck shows up an hour late. And at 6pm, the head guy tells me they're leaving - can they get paid? But the job isn't done! And of course, now Dan is not available. Apparently he is in Miami. So my move is half complete and the movers are gone. And the quote of $1000 for the whole job ended up costing me $875 for half the job, instead. Now its Saturday night and too late to hire other movers - most of them don't even work on Sunday unless you arrange it in advance. So I am completely screwed. I guess I'll go rent a U-haul (if they're still open) and move the rest myself, because, like I explained to UNreliable Movers, I have to have this done this weekend so my business is up and operational Monday. Thanks a lot, Dan. read more

I had a short move from a 10x20 storage unit into my new apartment (about a 15-minute drive). I highly recommend Reliable Delivery. Josh was very prompt with all communication (emailing me and calling me appropriately). Movers Collin and Ernesto were great! Professional, kind, and consciousness with our things. Took great care to put furniture where I wanted it to go in the room (and where it made sense to go!). Thank you, Reliable Delivery! read more

These guys are great!!! Chris, Cody, and John showed up at my house right on time, I gave them a quick walkthrough of everything that was going, and they immediately got to work...they had everything (bed, couches, dressers, tables, mirrors, clothes, 20-25 big boxes, etc) wrapped and loaded into the truck in under 45 minutes! They fit everything in the truck like a Tetris game and treated every piece of furniture with care. They even wrapped and carried out my huge heavy dressers full of clothes...I didnt think it was possible to move them without unloading all my clothes first....amazing. When we got to my new apartment, they unloaded everything quickly and put everything where I wanted it, including dealing with my OCD and re-arranging my bedroom furniture 3 or 4 times until I was happy with it! I will seriously never move without movers ever again...so worth the $$ Make sure you: -have everything packed and ready to go before they show up because they are super fast -label boxes so that they know what room to put them in -request wardrobe boxes (they're free, and so freaking amazing for transporting your entire closet without having to take anything off hangers) -have CASH to pay them so you get the 10% discount So great...thanks again guys! You da you da best! read more

I can't say enough great things about Reliable Delivery.... From obtaining a quote, scheduling my move, and the actual move itself, every aspect exceeded my expectations! My movers Alan and Ivan were polite, professional, conscientious, thorough, smart and well groomed. I absolutely recommend Reliable Delivery, and won't hesitate to use them again! read more

I was scheduled to move in to a new place on a Tuesday. The day before my move date the landlord says that the place fell through. :( I was incredibly frustrated because I had movers ready to go and had already put down a deposit. I called Reliable Delivery and they were incredibly kind. They gave me another week. I was able to find a place within two days and they rescheduled my delivery without me losing my deposit. Phew! :-) Amazing crew. Super efficient and they were early. The 3 man crew wrapped everything up and had my items ready to go within half an hour. Decent prices and very careful with your items. The guys were super nice and even moved some things around the house for me that I wasn't taking. Go with Reliable Delivery! You won't be disappointed! read more

THEY'VE MOVED US TWICE IN 6 MONTHS! Still cant say enough about these guys!!! Would use them anytime. Finally found a house to buy and they moved us in on July 5th. Basically a double move again..... showed up to move us out of our rental house & then went to our storage unit to load everything from there and brought all to our our new home. They are so careful with everything. They bring wardrobes for me to move all of my hanging clothes with and helped me get the beds assembled so my husband didn't have to. Moving is so stressful and these guys take a little bit of that away by their kind, professional get it done attitudes!!! LOVE THEM!!! read more

Been meaning to write a review for Reliable Delivery for some time now. I was in a bind and looking for someone to help me move furtniture 3 blocks to my new abode. They quoted me the most reasonable price of anyone. Additionally, I have coveted furniture that I love and did not want my new husband to hurt himself or the furniture. These guys came, expertly wrapped up the furniture, and delivered it seamless to my new home. They arrived on time and were extremely efficient and professional. Moving sucks, but these guys make it look like a cake walk. I have recommended them to everyone I know and would definitely use them again. read more

Used Reliable Delivery again for my move last weekend. Just as great as I remember! The guys showed up right on time, and worked super quickly and efficiently. Of the 3 days a year that it rains in San Diego, my move just happened to fall on one of them. The guys were great and laid down mats so that they wouldn't get the carpets dirty. Highly recommend. read more

The high reviews here for Reliable Delivery led me to choose them for a recent move--things went very well. Whenever I need movers I always assume I'm going to wind up with ex-cons at the place smashing my things around (it has actually happened with other companies). Wasn't the case with Reliable Delivery. These guys seemed professional and trustworthy. They were right on time and finished the job in an hour less than they originally estimated. We had to move a 3-bedroom 1100sq ft house, make a stop at a nearby second address for a few more things, and move it all 14 miles away and they got it done in 5 1/2 hours. We don't have a massive amount of stuff--but this was pretty efficient work. Price-wise they were fair--I paid about $650 for the whole move. I didn't shop this move that thoroughly but we had stairs at a new address and they were careful with everything--so I didn't see any reason to have an issue with the price I was charged. Would definitely use them again. The only negative I had with them was that I had some trouble reaching them. I booked them originally via email--but later had some additional questions--so I sent a second email. This didn't get replied to within a reasonable period of time, so I called to see if I could get answers that way. Calls pretty much seem to send you 24/7 to voicemail. I had to wait a considerable amount of time for a callback--but they did eventually get back to me. Fortunately nothing I was inquiring about was urgent and they showed up dead on time on move-day (which is really the key thing) so I didn't hold it against them. read more

Based on my experience recently with this company, I would not reccomend their moving services. They will give you a quote and uptalk you into booking with them saying they're reliable movers, etc, etc. but it turns out they're not reliable because some of my items were damaged in the process by their movers. It seemed that the furniture was not properly wrapped and protected and these are the reasons there was damage. So .60 cents a lb to cover damages come out to be like $60 bucks. What a joke that they can damage your expensive $5,000 couch and offer you $60. choose a more reliable moving company that stands by their true words and will take care of you. Daniel doesn't care about his employees or his customers. read more

The positives- 1. They are reliably there. They call ahead and let you know when they will arrive. 2. They have manpower and big trucks. Good for large jobs. 3. They work hard. Never slacking off. 4. They take care of the stuff to make sure nothing is damaged. Only negative was that they ended up not getting done so they scheduled another day. So that additional day they showed up with a smaller truck and only two guys and still did not get done. So I had to hire someone to finish the job and move three pick up truck loads. And hardly anything was assembled in the new house. Parts of the bed were still at the old house so we could not get the bed installed. We had to figure out hardware and stuff...which is easier when you are the one that took it apart... but we were not. I get that they ran out of time. Still, that part sucked after paying $2500 for the two days and then having to hire someone else to finish. And each day means more fees for stairs and trucks and fuel. Keep in mind, I still think these guys rock. That is why four stars. Tip- Use cash. read more

I have used Reliable Delivery 4 times and every time they are professional, on time, and efficient. My moving jobs never seem easy, but they always make sure that my furniture is well taken care of. I have also used their storage option while we were looking for a bigger place and it was super inexpensive. I trust these guys and I will use them whenever I am moving! read more

Lets face it, the process of moving can be pain staking. I found these guys through yelp they lived up to the other reviews. They completed a move in roughly 2 hours from downtown to Lemon Grove which was pretty incredible. Everything was in working order and no scratches or dents. From a pricing perspective, I felt it was fair for the promptness and professionalism. Would it be cheaper elsewhere? Maybe, but probably not by much and most certainly not as quick. read more

I recently moved to California and placed my furniture in a storage locker in Mission Valley. Since many of the items did not fit in my much smaller California Residence, I needed to place them with two different Consignment stores, since neither would take all of the items. Josh @Reliable took my call and could not have been more accommodating and arranged my short notice move. Thomas and Kevin, my movers, carefully wrapped all of my furniture and we're very patient as I went through the consignment process at each Consignment firm. Several items were not accepted at either firm, so th eye took care of their disposal. I was very pleased with the service and recommend Reliable Delivery. read more

Besides the miss leading AD on yelp, everything was good. Only place you'll find "Cash" is in reviews. Worked fast and efficient and had very good attitude. Little on the expensive side but I choose them because they seemed more professional about all of it. read more

Once again the legends at Reliable Delivery have exceed our expectations! This was the third move we have done with Dan and his crew and they just keep getting better if thats even possible. This was the biggest of our moves and most complicated as we had items going to storage, items being prepared for shipping to the east coast and then a large ranch home worth of items being moved into a smaller 3 level house with much more of a difficult entrance. The guys came prepared and had everything wrapped and protected in no time and trucks well packed and over the two days we had them booked for they had it all done within a day and a half. Cannot recommend these guys highly enough for any type of move or even to store you belongings with. 10/10 once again! Cheers read more

I contacted Reliable Delivery through Yelp and got an immediate response to fill out the application on their website. I soon received a call the next day to schedule my move. Thomas and David actually arrived 10 minutes early, which helped them decide where to set up the truck. Both were very friendly and professional. There were no issues with them moving my belongings from my 1 bedroom first story apartment to the 3rd floor of a 3-story house. While there were lots of stairs involved, neither took a break and completed the move in about 4 hours, which I believe is the minimum time charged. I appreciate that Thomas and David also helped rearrange furniture that was already in the house. I'll definitely use this company for any future moves. read more

Both wife and dog had unexpected medical emergencies on Monday. Moving on Friday. Booked a last-minute, full-service, including packing, move. The house was half moved and a complete mess and they never complained. They were absolutely amazing. Took care of everything and were very sympathetic to my situation. Thomas kept me informed at all times. All of them were especially kind to my wife after her emergency surgery. Can't say enough kind things about them read more

I had a great experience with Reliable Delivery! I needed assistance moving all the heavy items that everyone hates having to move. My two man team showed up right n time and got to work. They were friendly and personable. We enjoyed a chat while they worked. I paid in cash, so I got the $20 discount. Altogether a very good experience and money well spent. The only thing that kept me from giving them 5 stars is that I wish they had a local move option for a bit cheaper. An hour would have been perfect for me. Regardless, I'm keeping their number for the next time I have to move. read more

We needed a last-minute moving service (scheduled with Reliable Delivery four days before our move) and the whole process could not have gone smoother. We scheduled with Josh, who was able to expedite proof of insurance to our new building, and then the day-of Thomas and Kevin were there right on time - five minutes early - to pack up both of our apartments. They were so polite, professional, personable, and had our backs when our building double-booked our elevators; they rushed to get our place unpacked just at the fifth hour so we wouldn't go over. I couldn't recommend this service enough and will definitely be telling all our family and friends about Reliable! Pro tip: if you pay with cash you get a discount per hour :) read more

Alright...Plain and simple, THESE GUYS RULE! I move a lot so I should know and have used them 3 times now. Most recently I used them for a short move across town and I cannot give them enough praise. I set things up about 2 1/2 weeks in advance with Dan and it could not have been easier. Bright and early on a Saturday morning these guys showed up ready to work and my transition sans roomates to my tiny one bedroom bungalow was complete in no time at all. To recap the first time we used Reliable Delivery, Dan directed his crew and each one of them quickly rendered us all useless. We just stood there and tried to help but they were honestly too quick. They disassembled, reassembled, wrapped, carried, pushed, pulled and muscled everything that we had from pinball machines to drum sets. They even made a second trip when all our junk wouldn't fit in the first load! As a previous reviewer said...ROCKSTARS!!!! After all was said and done we got a pretty nifty Yelp discount and they finished almost 2 hours ahead of schedule. Can you ask for more than that? I think not! Use them, you will not be disappointed. read more

Thomas + Kenny were wonderful helping with our move. They communicated when they would be arriving, walked the house to come up with the best plan, were extremely time efficient and most over all we could tell put extra care into making sure our stuff was moved safely and we were happy! I booked Reliable Delivery for a big move after a lot of research and quite a few estimates. They seemed the most professional and reassuring that they would get the job done right so I went with them. Their customer service was great. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to use their services because we had to move up our move date and they were not available for the earlier move-in date. I hope I don't have to move again any time soon but if I did - I would certainly use them. read more

Found Reliable Delivery on yelp when I was investigating moving companies in the San Diego area. The movers were great! I had 2 movers on a Sunday morning, 9AM. They were very efficient and fast. They were also careful with all furniture...no damage throughout the move. My only complaint was the truck to move our stuff was not big enough and could not fit all of our stuff. All of our big furniture was moved, although I had to go back with my pickup later to finish the move myself. That was the company's fault, not the movers. Would definitely recommend this company. When filling out the pre-move forms, be sure to over-estimate things to be moved so you get a big enough truck. read more

Absolutely loved these movers! Thomas and David did a fantastic job with me today! They called, showed up on time, were efficient, courteous and got the job done ! Lies. Workers did not ask me to do a walk through of the apartment before they left. Most importantly, I could care less how long it took the workers to move everything - as long as they moved everything, I would pay for every minute that they worked. If I was to count time to the minute, your company owes me three minutes worth of money because you did not stay till 5pm. Yes, I had bags. Yes, I had open and unsealed boxes. So what if it would take longer? I would pay for it as long as it got the work done. Daniel, I don't think you understand why I wrote a bad review - don't try to twist the truth, or use bad reviews to further advertise your company by saying "one hour minimum M-F so customers who are prepared can save money on moving day!". It is because I paid someone to help me move, but I ended up having to move things myself. How do you explain your workers rushing out of my apartment when they knew they had boxes sitting in my car? This is not about packing properly, it is about how I was more than willing to pay for someone to help me move so I don't have to lift a finger. It is about your company's workers NOT COMPLETING THEIR JOB. The move was not complete and your workers left. It is not about saving money, it is about getting the job DONE. Your workers did not do that. Please reflect upon that and stop trying to pull water out of a dry well. read more

Reliable Delivery was fantastic! They were very quick and made sure that everything was unscratched and safe. They moved very quickly, even though we had a lot of extra things they were happy to accommodate and moved it inside their truck. The reason why I would give them a 4 was because of the pricing. I had thought I would be paying around 200-300 but the final amount was around 400-500. I would suggest to ask them for final quote afterwards and confirm with the movers that it would be that amount. Thank you! read more

We have used Reliable Delivery many times for moving family members, but this past weekend was the first time we've used them for our own home. We had an incredible amount of crap to move... 4 bedrooms and tons of artwork. The guys showed up on time (even though they had to drive from SD to LA early on a Saturday morning), and when they jumped out of their trucks they were ready to go. The guys spent almost 7 hours working non-stop to empty our house. Everyone had a great attitude, they were super-friendly, and they handled our belongings as if they were their own. We were insanely stressed about the move, but once the Reliable Delivery guys rolled up their sleeves and dug in, we realized we were in more than capable hands. I wish I could give more than five stars, because the entire experience was so smooth and professional. Highly recommended. read more

Thomas and Javier did a great job moving my small apartment. You always worry about letting complete strangers into your home to have access to all your belongings, but they were professional, friendly, and hard workers. They took a lot of care not to damage my apartment or my cheap furniture. They didn't just dump everything in the living room and leave, they took care to put everything in approximately the right place. I didn't hire them to help me pack or unpack, so I can't comment on that. The only thing that was annoying is that I thought I was going to get their advertised $360 flat rate, but it ended up being $540 because it took longer than 3 hours and they had to travel more than 15 minutes. I have a 500 sqft 1 bedroom with not much furniture, everything packed up neatly in boxes, and I was only moving 30 minutes away. So be aware, you are not likely going to get the $360 rate they offer unless you have a studio, and you are moving to another apartment in the same building or just down the street. I'm not super upset about it, since the service was very good. read more

I was very happy with the service. In the past I used a well-known major international service that my employer paid for when I moved from Canada, and these guys were much better. Josh was helpful in answering my questions ahead of time. I appreciated that they were flexible to complete however much packing I had left to do the morning of my move (it was only a one-bedroom apartment move). My movers were Alan and Nick. They arrived on time, well organized and professional. I did end up packing up almost everything myself ahead of time, which was fortunate because they were quite slow with packing what little there was left. They protected my furniture really well, and were careful with boxes I had labelled as fragile. They also disassembled and reassembled any furniture that required it. The total move took longer than I expected, but I was happy with the service overall and would use them again. read more

I was also led to this particular moving company due to the many good reviews received on Yelp. Things went well, I was still moving all of my non-boxed items like clothes and personal things, they did everything else. They took my bed down, and put it back up in my new place-it took about 2.5 hours for them to move me from a floor apt, to a 2nd story apt. just up the street. They were both polite and friendly, and worked effciently. I must admit when I first saw them I thought, "These kids are gonna move my stuff? They don't seem burly enough!" I was wrong! I certainly will recommend this company to anyone who needs movers in the future. Thanks Seth and Jeremiah! read more

Thomas and Alex were complete rockstars! From the moment they showed up, their professionalism, personalities, communication, and efficiency exemplified everything a quality moving/delivery company is and needs to strive for. They took all the stress out of the situation and had my family and I smiling from ear to ear with their upbeat attitudes and helpfulness from beginning to end. Here's a plus about Reliable Delivery. The owner Dan (comment above) followed up and contacted me regarding my review on Yelp to clarify the "story." I really appreciated the call because it confirms that feedback is important to them. Although we have a difference in opinion, it's something that meant a good deal. As mentioned once again, my 3 Star rating was not due to the quality of the move; it was that I felt the drive time charge was not properly communicated to me. I don't have an issue with paying what I did because I knew I would receive quality service as expressed by my fellow yelpers and that is why I chose Reliable Delivery. I would have gone with a cheaper moving company if cost was a concern. I stand by my review because it is my review and what I experienced. read more

Today was our second time using Reliable Delivery for our move and we will definitely use them for all of our future moves because they are literally the best! We just bought our first home so today's move was a big deal for us. Our three movers arrived a few minutes early which is always great and they finished almost exactly in the time that was quoted. They took such good care of the floor, walls, and of course our furniture. They also make sure everything is placed where you need it so you're not moving after you've moved. They even took the time to reassemble our bed and a few other peices of furniture. Moving is so stressful and laborious that I urge you to make your life easier and hire these guys to help you, it's worth every penny. And speaking of the price, it's exactly what it should be. Thank you so much to Gary, Collin, and Ernesto for all your hard work today. Take care! read more
